His breakthroughs include “Ella Baila Sola” (No. 4 peak on Billboard Hot 100), Grammy-winning Génesis (No. 3 Billboard 200), and Éxodo (No. 5). As Mexico's most-streamed artist, he's globalized música Mexicana. Tito Double P (cousin Jesús Roberto Laija García) contributed as songwriter (e.g., “El Belicón”) before his solo debut Incómodo (2024) on Double P Records. The original Dinastía dropped Christmas 2025 (15 tracks), debuting No. 1 on Top Latin Albums and Regional Mexican Albums, No. 6 on Billboard 200 with 34,000 units and 45+ million on-demand streams. Art Friendships That Fuel The Work

Three artists. One exhibition. A decade of friendship that turned into fuel for making braver work. Ty sits down with Vy Ngo and Eric Breish to explore how creative community shapes everything—from the courage to apply, to the way we process rejection, to the rituals that help us recover after the lights go down.We start with origin stories and the rush of seeing our pieces hang together at Art Center Waco's Amplified show. Then we dig into the practical spine of a thriving art practice: how to pick the right opportunities, why research beats volume, and how strong documentation (clear, well-lit photos and short videos) becomes your first studio visit. We talk about building a cohesive submission that tells a story instead of tossing in disconnected “greatest hits,” and we unpack the difference between galleries that simply move product and those that invest in your evolution. The conversation gets honest around critique and growth. Safe feedback from trusted artist friends can be uncomfortable and necessary—pushing you to clarify intent, separate your voice from influence, and keep evolving. When no arrives, confidence returns to the work itself. One pivotal story turns a painful rejection into a better fit with a smaller gallery that encouraged risk and led to the most personal show of a career. The lesson: alignment and patience create momentum. We also name the quiet crash after big openings—what we call post‑artum depression—and offer tools to navigate it: nature days, spiritual or wellness practices, journaling, and time with people who truly understand. Finally, we celebrate DIY paths and authentic networking. Show up for spaces you love without treating every hello like an angle. Be interested before trying to be interesting; your people will find you.If this resonates, follow, share with an artist who needs it, and leave a review so more creatives can find the show. Your support helps us keep bringing real conversations—and practical tools—to the studio.Vy Ngo: @vjngo_artEric Breish: @eric_breish_artSend us a message - we would love to hear from you! Jordan James Bridge is a sharp mover and thinker and an ambitious talent. Having danced for Company Wayne McGregor, his own choreography has made a splash on screen and in the Ballet Nights series of dance gigs. It all began for Jordan at school near Wigan, in the north of England, where he first discovered dance – where he returned last summer because the dance studio at Fred Longworth High School has been named after him. This full circle moment seems the perfect time to ask Jordan about forging his path, defying the gatekeepers – and why dance matters.Jordan James Bridge is a multi award winning choreographer/performer for stage, screen and fashion. A longstanding dance artist of Company Wayne McGregor, he more recently appeared in Disney's The Marvels and walked for Moschino in Milan fashion week. Nominated for ‘Emerging Artist' as both dancer and choreographer in the National Dance Award 2024, he has won multiple awards for his dance films Us, Locked Down and PARASITE. He made a ballet for Györi Ballet, Hungary, and is a consistent creative entity at Ballet Nights in London. He is a renowned lecturer in both Cunningham based technique and his signature Guided Improvisation method.Jordan James Bridge https://jordanbridgedance.co.uk/Jordan premieres two works in New English Ballet Theatre: Covent Garden Choreographics on 21 March (Clore Studio, RBO) https://www.rbo.org.uk/tickets-and-events/new-english-ballet-theatre-covent-garden-choreographics-details Hosted on Acast. We're back with a packed episode — and we're not holding back.Ahmad kicks things off with a prank story involving his son that you did NOT see coming. From there, Vance and Ahmad dive deep into everything that had the culture talking: the Super Bowl Halftime Show, the Grammys, J. Cole's latest project, and the ongoing Kanye West situation.Bad Bunny didn't just perform — he brought an entire cultural moment to the biggest stage in American sports. We break down why his set was more than entertainment, what it means for hip-hop's global reach, and who we think should be next on that Halftime stage. Then we shift to the Grammys — are they finally getting it right? We discuss the tributes, the snubs, the recognition of legacy artists, and whether soul music is still getting the respect it deserves. Plus, Kendrick Lamar's stranglehold on hip-hop in 2025 and what that means for the culture going forward. And J. Cole dropped — so of course we had to get into it. Is the storytelling still elite? What does this album mean for his legacy? And is J. Cole approaching the end of an era?All that, plus current music recommendations and our thoughts on the rising British influence in hip-hop.

What does it actually take to build a sustainable, global art career in 2026? As the market shifts away from the high-octane speculation of the early 2020s, a new era of radical transparency and artist autonomy is emerging. In this episode, host Ekaterina Popova sits down with visionary curator, collector, and entrepreneur Sonia Borrell to pull back the curtain on what the world's top collectors are looking for right now. Sonia shares the inspiration behind her newest venture, StudiotoGallery, a platform designed to dismantle traditional gatekeeping and return control to the creator. From the importance of "positioning over visibility" to navigating the rapid growth of the Chinese art market, this conversation is a masterclass in modern art business. Whether you're an emerging painter or an established professional, Sonia's insights offer a refreshing, high-level perspective on thriving in today's selective ecosystem. Inside the Conversation The 2026 Market Recalibration: Sonia discusses why "hype" pricing is falling away and how artists can re-emerge by focusing on authentic connections and sustainable growth. The Sovereign Artist: A look at the StudiotoGallery model, where artists maintain full control over their pricing, inventory, and gallery representation. The Power of Positioning: Why your "human filter" and professional presentation matter more to a museum or serious collector than a viral Instagram reel. Global Expansion: Sonia shares her experience bridging the gap between Western creators and major corporate partners and institutions in China. Sustainable Partnerships: How to identify a "human-centric" gallery and why the future of the art world relies on collaborative, shoulder-to-shoulder work. Protecting Your Practice: Practical advice on avoiding scammers, managing mental health in the studio, and staying positive during market shifts. About Sonia Borrell Sonia Borrell is a prominent art world connector, collector, and founder of Art Belina and StudiotoGallery. With deep roots in the international market, she specializes in helping artists scale their businesses through IP collaborations, museum placements, and high-level mentorship. Sonia is a pioneer in the movement toward a more transparent and educator-led art market, providing artists with the tools they need to lead their own careers. Only Brenda survived.Brenda was told that her life was a miracle.  A private session provided some profound understanding. Brenda made a list of the qualities of the partner she desired, and she showed up. Brenda moved to Missouri in Oct 2004 and started attending CSL St. Louis earlier that summer.Thru CSL, she learned of a Hindu guru (Dr. Pillai) who taught Wayne Dyer the "ah" meditation, and from that workshop, big shifts occurred. Instead of buying a set of Mala Beads from Dr. Pillai, she learned and created her first set of Mala beads.  Her partner, Patrice repaired Brenda's mother's broken rosary (broke during the car crash of 1996), and they ultimately started making jewelry in 2005 and selling it. They sold their jewelry for 15 years until Covid hit. In 2013-14, she raised the funds and made plans to travel to Ghana to work with women who are jewelry makers, using beads made from recycled glass. The experience was profound in many ways. She mentored and inspired the women to further their education, and to leave the impoverished village to move to the capital city where the work paid more. One woman took her advice, Regina went to school and moved to the capitol. Brenda has her mentor for 11 years and occasionally sends her funds.Brenda's work in fundraising and in art has been a supportive energy for healing others, promoting good causes and healing for herself.Support the showDonate – CelesteFrazier.com

There are a ton of videos circulating right now with music theory pros highlighting the technical aspects of Taylor Swifts latest album. While I think its great that these elements are getting coverage, I also think it's important that you don't need to have a high proficiency in music theory to write great songs. In this episode I share a story about my music theory journey, and how sometimes being open to new things, and not worrying about what you don't know can open doors to new creativity. I'd also like to know from the Swifties out there.....what is Taylors theory background? Obviously she's highly skilled in music and writing, but does it come from training or creativity or both?

Pianist Adam Tendler transforms his father's death into 'little masterpieces'

On New Year's Day 2020, Adam Tendler unexpectedly received his father's final gift: a wad of cash stuffed into a manila envelope handed over in the parking lot of a Denny's restaurant in West Lebanon, NH. The strangely furtive exchange launched a musical journey.Tendler, a renowned concert pianist who grew up in Barre decided to use his inheritance to commission an all-star cast of modern composers to compose piano pieces exploring the theme of inheritance. In his pitch to his composer friends, Tendler wrote that he wanted “to plant that cash in the soil of something that may actually grow and — if you'll forgive me — live on.” To his amazement, every composer he wrote to agreed to contribute. The result is a critically acclaimed album and concert tour called Inheritances, which the New York Times has called a collection of “little masterpieces.” Tendler will perform Inheritances at the Barre Opera House on November 16.Tendler initially did not know what to do with the money that he received. Taking a trip or paying down a credit card seemed inadequate. “This is an inheritance so something should be done with it that sort of honors the gesture,” he told The Vermont Conversation. “The thing I do for a living is ideally creating experiences for people … which [are] cathartic and beautiful and [provide] a sense of connection,” he said. “What if I use it to facilitate that experience for people?” Tendler originally told his story in a 2023 essay for the New York Times, “My Father's Death, An Envelope of Cash, A Legacy in Music.”Adam Tendler is a Grammy-nominated pianist and a recipient of the Lincoln Center Award for Emerging Artists and the Yvar Mikhashoff Prize. The Minneapolis Star Tribune called him "currently the hottest pianist on the American contemporary classical scene." After graduating from Indiana University, Tendler performed solo recitals in all fifty states as part of a grassroots tour he called America 88x50. He has appeared as soloist with the London Symphony Orchestra, LA Philharmonic, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Toronto Symphony and at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and other venues. He is on the piano faculty of the Steinhardt School at New York University. Tendler took a circuitous route from Barre to the concert stages of the world. After college, he worked at the landfill in Coventry and was a substitute teacher at U32 and Twinfield high schools. His relationship to his hometown is both affectionate and ambivalent. “I love Barre, I love Vermont, but it wasn't really the most easy place to grow up as a queer kid,” he recalled. “Music was a safety hatch … a real place within which I could hide, protect myself, express myself. I created a little fortress within it.""That vessel motivated me to actually start to really train to the point of getting into conservatory.”Tendler said that his work on Inheritances transformed his complicated feelings about his “semi-estranged” father “into something that feels like a companion in a good way.”“This project and having to sort of confront him on a human level, even though we're talking about music, has brought me back to him. I am my father's son. We are family.”

Chaiah (pronounced ‘Kaya') Sullivan has been impressing the glass world and Instagram followers with his beautiful and intricate cactus-inspired functional glass to the tune of a 94K following and growing. He came upon the cactus after a friend mistakenly referred to another plant pipe he had created as a cactus and decided to give making a realistic cactus pipe a try. “I never really expected to be the cactus guy,” Sullivan says. Growing up in Paonia, a small town on the Western Slope of Colorado, Sullivan first discovered flameworking in 2005 at age 14. Two years later, he started working as an assistant at a local hotshop, North Rim Glass LLC. He practiced as a hobbyist while finishing high school, then put all his focus into glass. In 2010, he attended Penland School of Crafts, located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. There he studied with Janis Miltenberger, a Washington-based artist who works with borosilicate glass to create large-scale narrative sculpture. Like Sullivan, much of Miltenberger's glass art is inspired by botanical elements found in nature such as leaves and flowers.  In 2013, Sullivan took a series of collaborative classes at Glasscraft in Golden, Colorado, where he had the chance to learn from artists such as Salt and Robert Mickelsen, from whom he learned the hollow sculpting technique he uses today. Says Sullivan: “The inside of my pieces have the same contour as the outside. I put all my ridges in and then along each ridge I add dots; once those are all melted in, I pluck each spike out individually. Sometimes I do get a little sick of plucking thousands of spikes over and over and over again. But once you see all your work come to fruition, it makes it all worth it. There's something about making it functional on top of it being a beautiful art piece that really pushes me.” After learning many different styles and techniques, Sullivan explored and experimented to develop his own style of work under the name Unparalleled Glass. He was awarded Dr. Dabber Glass Masters 1st Place in 2023; the Puffco Glass Open 1st Place in 2022; and Champs' Emerging Artist 1st Place in May 2017. Enjoy this conversation about the progression of Sullivan's cactus designs, the device attachments he's been developing and his recently released foot pedals and oxygen systems. He also discusses recent lighting and installation pieces as well as some fun projects in the works.

The Indications' latest album is titled “Flowers”, and they'll be performing in Indianapolis on September 30 at the Hi-Fi Annex.  Durand Jones and the Indications formed in Bloomington in 2012, while its members were studying at Indiana University. The band's sound was built around a mutual love for classic soul, funk and R&B. Their reputation spread beyond Bloomington in 2016, when Ohio's Colemine Records issued their debut album. The Indication's second album “American Love Call” was issued in 2019 and praised by critics for its lush arrangements and socially conscious lyrics, earning comparisons to The Impressions and The Delfonics. Two years later, their album “Private Space” debuted in the Top 10 of Billboard's Emerging Artists chart. Their latest album “Flowers” builds on the band's distinct blend of vintage soul sounds and contemporary production techniques.
