Julie Ponesse, author of My Choice: The Ethical Case Against Covid-19 Vaccine Mandates (2021), discusses the field of ethics and role that fear played within the landscape of a global pandemic and how this stalls the ability of humans to understand and process new information, inclines us towards pessimism, and moves society towards a certain level of gullibity of official political narratives that claim to “save” society. In a sharp criticism of what has happened since March 2020, Ponesse analyses how those who supported lockdowns—who believed the official narrative of fear, as a result of which encouraged them to push the narrative, even at times cruelly within their own social and professional circles—are now confronted with the fact that everything they supported and enacted was all a lie, discussing this demographic's compliance to draconian pandemic responses. Noting how internet culture has already trained a generation to locking themselves down with computers and mobile devices, Ponesse discusses the ways in which public opinion became controlled by big tech and major media across most of the planet manufacturing a homogeneous public health narrative without including any other scientific counterpoints, what Ponnes views as the signal that we were collectively being lied to. Dr. Julie Ponesse has a PhD in Philosophy (Western, 2008) with areas of specialization in ethics and ancient philosophy. She has a Masters in Philosophy with Collaborative Specialization in Bioethics from the University of Toronto and a Diploma in Ethics from the Kennedy Institute of Ethics at Georgetown University. Dr. Ponesse has published in the areas of ancient philosophy, ethical theory, and applied ethics, and has taught at universities in Canada and the US for 20 years. In September 2021, Professor of Ethics, Dr Julie Ponesse, got fired because she refused to take the COVID-19 vaccine. This shocking experience has made her reflect on how far academia is from its original mission of being a safe place for exchanging ideas. Ponesse is observing a culture of conformity, groupthink, and intolerance of anyone who does not conform to the group. This situation is also raising important questions about the right of a group to rule over the few in a democracy and what our “social contract” is all about. Ponesse fears our current society where individual rights are being eradicated, and people are being coerced to take the vaccine because of a virus that kills 0,05% of those who get it – and even less for children. In September 2021, Professor of Ethics, Dr Julie Ponesse, got fired because she refused to take the COVID-19 vaccine. This shocking experience has made her reflect on how far academia is from its original mission of being a safe place for exchanging ideas. Ponesse is observing a culture of conformity, groupthink, and intolerance of anyone who does not conform to the group. This situation is also raising important questions about the right of a group to rule over the few in a democracy and what our “social contract” is all about. Ponesse fears our current society where individual rights are being eradicated, and people are being coerced to take the vaccine because of a virus that kills 0,05% of those who get it – and even less for children. Dr. Julie Ponesse is a former university professor, and holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Western Ontario, with areas of specialization in ethics and ancient philosophy. In September 2021 she recorded a video, expressing her disagreement and opposition to the vaccine mandates which her university was instituting. Her video was a level-headed, articulate, and informed critique of the validity of vaccine mandates, and as a result, went ‘viral' online. As a result of this, she has become a respected voice among those voicing their concerns and opposition to vaccine mandates and pandemic restrictions generally. She recently published a book, entitled ‘My Choice: The Ethical Case Against Covid-19 Mandates'. Oh the times are so ridiculous, sad, annoying, unjust and everything else as mass psychosis continues unabated. And then there's Canadian professor Dr. Julie Ponesse who wasn't thinking she was doing anything unusual rejecting the jab. Ohne seinen Schwanz sieht er komisch aus, und alle seine Freunde lachen ihn aus. Er bittet die alte Frau, ihm den Schwanz wieder anzunähen, aber sie will das nur tun, wenn er ihr die gestohlene Milch zurückgibt. Aber die Milch ist weg, also geht er zu einer Kuh und bittet sie um Milch, um sich bei der alten Frau zu revanchieren, aber die Kuh gibt ihm ihre Milch nur, wenn der Fuchs ihr etwas Gras bringt, und das Feld gibt sein Gras nur her, wenn er ihm etwas Wasser bringt … und so geht die Geschichte weiter…Zwei Dinge sind an dieser Geschichte interessant:Erstens kann der Fuchs nur bekommen, was er will, wenn er zuerst tut, was ein anderer von ihm verlangt. Zweitens unternimmt der Fuchs so große Anstrengungen, um seinen Schwanz zurückzubekommen, und zwar nicht wegen des Wertes, den der Schwanz für ihn hat (z. B. weil er ihm hilft, Fliegen zu verscheuchen oder nachts warm zu bleiben), sondern weil sein Schwanz einen großen sozialen Wert hat.
