Welcome to the Kerusso Daily Devotional. Good morning…good afternoon…whatever time it is where you are. Where are you today? I don't mean on the way to work or your kitchen or a doctor's office. I mean, is your life stable? Are you on the right road? Our topic this week is the perfect timing of God. You might be in an okay place, or you might be free-falling. As usual, God's Word speaks to this. Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” Wow. That is a description of how your Creator is managing your life. You see it as a disaster. He sees you as beautiful. He is smoothing the path in front of you. Can I give you some advice? If today is rainy and gloomy for you, quiet your mind for a few minutes, wherever you are. Meditate on our verse for today. If you can't really see where your life is going, you're not alone. All of us see through a glass darkly, as the apostle Paul said. But God sees everything, and He sees it clearly. He knows where you're going and just as important, He knows where you are now. God's got this. Rest in that today. Let's pray. Lord, we are deeply grateful that you are in charge and that you love us. We love you, too. In Jesus' name, amen. Wear (and share!) something meaningful. Save 15% Off your entire purchase of faith-based apparel + gifts at Kerusso.com with code KDD15.
In today's message in our series, Kingdom Economics, Pastor John Carter taught us that as children of God, we must learn all that the Word has to say about what God's intentions are regarding finances, blessing, and prosperity. God has more to say about the economics of His kingdom than just giving and receiving.

Most New Year's intentions are scuttled before the month of January is over. Here is how you can better manage your goals and set out a clear plan of action for the coming months without falling into the typical traps. All those "positive-thinking" self-help books are telling you to dream big and that nothing is impossible. Visualize your perfect life send the message out to the universe and voila your wishes shall be fulfilled. The disappointment is big when reality catches up. Sometimes also the dream come true can turn out to be a nightmare if it is not in sync with your soul purpose. There are several steps that you can follow in better managing your life instead of blaming everyone from the government to your boss, spouse, or colleagues for being responsible for your dire situation. Episode 90 has us talking about the concept of micro managing your life. No, no. It's what you think. Micro managing is a "simple" concept that involves looking at your life in small manageable sections or micro sections. By narrowing your scope of concern, you can easily focus your energy into a specific task. over time you will perfect that task because, then move onto the next. Over more time, you will perfect numerous micro tasks, leading to a better quality of life. Of course, no method is perfect and you have to find out what works best for you. But, perhaps micro management can prove beneficial in small doses. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Host: @MacHawbaker (MacHawbaker.com) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Watch the Podcast on YouTube ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ **Donations help keep us going. Seeing his uncle build this big beautiful house on Long Island, Tom Ierna remembers saying to himself as a kid, “Wait! I want to be able to do that for myself too.” That turned out to be the starting point that has driven Tom to become successful in his 20’s. He was a kid from Long Island, New York who always felt special in a weird way. He's relaxed about everything and lived with the attitude ‘life would work out its own way’. Tom happened to be always around a lot of successful people during the process. Tom always did well in school but when he went to New York city to go to college, it wasn't so much about college. For him it was just to live in the city. Though only 28, Tom feels like he is 40 and a lot of people say, ‘He's an old soul.’ As an 18-year-old Tom started his bead and bracelet business from a hotel boutique which soon started selling online and to celebrities. He soon rubbed shoulders and shared space with popular names like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. But Tom was always ethical in conducting himself. The moral values he learned at home as kid, he always carried with him. Living by them made him attractive to people who continue to work with him. Listen up, as Tom speaks about how he lives his life with honesty, integrity and with the right character, in a world like Hollywood where there’s so much drama that’s opposite the personality of Tom. Insights from the Episode: I taught myself everything, learned on my own; I really don't know what I really got from college if I'm being honest You can manifest anything you want, if you put out the work Some people are so good at something that they don't even recognize what they're doing and it's hard for them to explain it or potentially teach it back to somebody Knowing right from wrong: your morals, values and all that is important It's super important that you be very honest I am here where I am career wise because I'm just very honest with people If you believe in something; you should defend yourself, stand up for yourself and don't let people walk all over you It's really important to surround yourself with a good group of people: like-minded people It's very easy for me to work through things and if I do something wrong, I'm very able to see that and apologize. It's very easy for me to clean up the mess, if there is a mess I like to actually hang out with older people who are successful Everything will always work out, it always does in some way You just got to keep good people around you that you could fall back on and not get stressed out by certain things You just don't want the appearance of being successful, you actually want to be successful Social media used to mess me up a bit. It would make me feel insecure. I would see other people that were around the same age where it all looks like ‘it's so pretty’. But everybody has their own issues If you create regardless of what it is, it ultimately will make you happier It's really important to take time to check in on yourself to make sure you're happy Just be more calm and not worry about what everyone else is doing, just focus on yourself and if you work hard you know it's going to pay off It's not that hard to be successful if you're willing to put in the work. When you're working hard eventually something's going to stick but you got to have like a direction Everybody wants to be famous these days, but it's better to ‘just calm down’ As human beings, if we don't grow we're going to be stagnant and being stagnant doesn’t lead to good things

Many leaders want to make a difference in the lives of others. However, the impact is way more profound if it will also translate in the way we live our lives. To ensure we'll be able to cover all the bases, we'll discuss the distinction between leadership and management and explore our tendency to act as managers of our lives instead of the leaders we are supposed to be.
The phone rang. Lucia picked it up but did not answer the caller. She handed it to me because she knew two things: It was probably about work, and my profession was more important than her and the children. In our first ever episode we discuss the balance between work and personal life - which isn't always straight forward; especially when you've quite the 9-5 for the 24/7 life of a femmetrpreneur. Maybe some of our insight over the years of doing this can help you achieve a bit more balance or maybe just feel ok about the fact that it isn't always perfect.
When your head talks you in and out of things, it means your mind is in control and your emotions are out of reach. Mentally managing everything leads to second guessing your decisions so you’re never truly at peace. Anxiety kicks in and you become overwhelmed because you’re searching your head for answers that never come. Perhaps you even seek advice from other people, hoping someone will say the magic word that makes everything click. If you do get that validation, your head is satisfied… but you’re often still left wondering if you made the right choice. Something inside feels unsettled. Decisions are made from your head when you don’t trust yourself. Society tells us to ignore what we feel and listen to what we think. Maybe you need to plan everything out, accounting for every possible outcome. This can happen at any level… from choosing a job to deciding how to respond to a text. When you are afraid of uncertainty and want to control the outcome, you count on your head for the answer. But going the mental route usually leaves you feeling confused, stuck and discontent. To better connect with your inner voice and allow that to guide you, accept where you are. Otherwise you’ll spend all your time in your head looking for a way to escape. If you don’t feel your way through, you’re mentally managing and have accepted nothing. It’s also important not to rely on the advice of others—they don’t have as much invested in your choices as you do. If you think they’re judging you, you’ll make a decision based on that rather than what you feel inside. Remember, no one is living your life but you. Feel it. Own it. Do it.
