Gio discusses 'Unknown Number: High School Catfish' (spoiler alert!) and his daughters' KPop obsession. Note: You don't hear any music because of lawyers and their rules. Jerry's final update covers Soto's Mets win, Judge on proving himself in September, Belichick/UNC's blowout loss, and Parsons' back injury. The Moment of The Day highlights the Bills' weak schedule. Hour 1 Boomer begins his 19th year as morning show host at WFAN, discussing the NFL season's start. Topics include Micah Parsons, Arch Manning, Bill Belichick's debut with North Carolina, and Juan Soto's big day for the Mets. Jerry provides updates on the Mets' win and Sean Manaea's outing. The show also covers the Micah Parsons vs. Jerry Jones situation and Patrick Mahomes traveling to Brazil. Boomer's golf plans with Zach Wilson's father-in-law are off, leading to calls for fill-in ideas, including a caller noting Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers' Super Bowls at 27, and Jordan Love's current age. Hour 2 The Giants' schedule started with Gio stating they need to go 2-2, scoring points and Russell Wilson throwing TDs, beating either Dallas or Washington. Boomer believes both Giants' lines will improve and Russ limits turnovers. Boomer suggested the Jets keep Aaron Rodgers, but Gio argued against it for culture change. Sam Darnold is now with the Seahawks. Boomer then listed quarterbacks for comparison. Jerry provided an update, after Gio mentioned C-Lo's tuberculosis last week and Al's confusion over MLB Wild Card standings. Juan Soto hit a grand slam and triple for the Mets. Carlos Mendoza discussed Sean Manaea's issues. We heard Bill Belichick and North Carolina losing to TCU. Brian Daboll discussed Jayden Daniels, their week one opponent. Micah Parsons spoke about the Green Bay fanbase. The hour concluded with NFL news and a caller asking Gio who he'd rather have in a big game: Boomer or Phil Simms? Hour 3 The hour began with baseball talk, covering the Mets' recent struggles against the Marlins and their win in Detroit, highlighting young pitchers Jonah Tong and Nolan McLean. The Mets have dominated the Phillies this season, especially at home, but need three consistent starting pitchers. Boomer praised McLean's natural pitching ability. Jerry then updated on Jalen Hurts discussing the Cowboys defense, Jon Gruden's admiration for it, and Andy Reid on the Chiefs' Brazil trip. The Mets' Detroit win featured a Juan Soto grand slam and triple. Sounds of Bill Belichick and UNC's loss to TCU were played. Finally, Gio mentioned judging a burlesque show, and Boomer warned of tropical depressions. Hour 4 Gio discusses 'Unknown Number: High School Catfish' (spoiler alert!) and his daughters' KPop obsession. Note: You don't hear any music - sorry. Jerry's final update covers Soto's Mets win, Judge on proving himself in September, Belichick/UNC's blowout loss, and Parsons' back injury. The Moment of The Day highlights the Bills' weak schedule. A caller invites them to her dad's 60th.

A federal judge in California has ruled that the Trump administration unlawfully used Marines and National Guard troops in Los Angeles. Government funding is set to expire on Sept. 30 under a stopgap spending bill approved by Congress in March. Both chambers will need to pass—and President Donald Trump to sign—a total of 12 funding bills to avert a complete or partial government shutdown. So far, the Senate has passed an initial draft of three of these, while the House has passed just two. Only one, a bill to fund military construction, has passed both chambers.

Estos son 10 defensivos que darán el salto de calidad esta temporada de NFL, que pueden ser la revelación.
In this episode, Rob is joined by his longtime Twitter foe & friend, co-host of the Coast To Coast Podcast, Whittle @whittle2k as DT is off this week. Rob & Whittle discuss Rob's anxiety level ahead of this pivotal '25 Bills season. Here, damn! Brandon Brane has once again supplied McDermott with plenty of weapons to deploy on his defensive side of the football. Will it finally make a difference once it comes playoff time? Whittle explains why he expects McD to be much more aggressive this season as he now has the players that afford him the opportunity to take more risks. Is the D-line ready? How about the secondary? It's put up or just up time for McD and his supporters and Rob isn't moving an inch from where he stands until he sees it in the biggest games. On offense, it's 'Everybody Eats' again and altough Rob can't stand the approach, Whittle explains how this year's offense could be even better under Brady, Allen & Co. He even evokes 14's name which obviously sets Rob off. LOL.Finally, Rob & Whittle finally agree on Rob's offseason long PSA about turnovers and how they translate year-to-year. Well, they kinda agreed. LOL

THE IDEAL BALANCE SHOW: Real talk, tips & coaching on everything fitness, family & finance.
Snag Our Simplified Budget System!Hey Budget Besties!Today we're bringing you behind the scenes of a real coaching call with our friend Rebecca. She's already crushing it — no car payment, no mortgage, and just a small amount of credit card debt left. But like so many of us, she keeps reaching for her card at places like Costco or on PayPal “specials,” even though she wants to pay cash.Together we unpack why this happens and how she can make her budget work with her instead of against her. If you've ever wondered how to balance paying off debt while also funding your savings buckets, this convo is going to hit home.In this episode, we walk Rebecca through:How a 90-day spending audit helped her finally get gas money under controlWhy Costco can sabotage even the best budgets (and how to make it work on purpose)The trick to managing monthly income so you're not stretched thin at the end of the monthHow to fund savings buckets without sacrificing debt payoffThe power of rolling out automation in baby steps — one category at a timeWhy sometimes the solution is as simple as breaking up with your credit card (at least for now!)Rebecca left this call with a clear plan to stop using credit cards, pay off her small balance once and for all, and lean on the systems she's already built — her bills account, her gas vault, and her savings buckets. She's literally this close to being totally credit-card free.✨ Bestie Takeaways:A 90-day audit shows you the truth about your spending.Separate accounts keep you honest and stop you from overspending. You can't fund every bucket and pay off debt at the same time — pick what matters most right now.Automation works best when you roll it out little by little.Debt freedom isn't about luck — it's about the systems you create.Connect With Us: 1️⃣ Facebook Group – Join the community. Vic henley, Iliza Shlesinger, Stangel brothers, Dennis Falcone 3/23In this hilarious and eclectic episode of the Opie Radio podcast, host Opie teams up with comedians Vic Henley and Iliza Shlesinger for a wild ride through music, vermin, and modern absurdities. The trio kicks off with a deep dive into Rolling Stones trivia, revealing the reggae roots of "Start Me Up" and the scrapped tracks behind Tattoo You, while Opie shares epic tales of meeting Mick Jagger and Robert Plant. Breakfast banter takes a turn as they debate chicken and waffles, oatmeal health hacks, and a quirky painting destined for celebrity signatures. Iliza brings her sharp humor, discussing her upcoming Tonight Show appearance, her dog Blanch's adventures, and her Instagram stalking of a shrimp-obsessed nobody. The conversation gets wild with a viral video about New York City's rat-hunting dog club, sparking debates on rat evolution, raccoon cuteness, and disturbing “smash cuts” of dogs shaking rats. From a raccoon losing its cotton candy to Bills fans getting frisky in a parking lot, this episode is a chaotic blend of nostalgia, animal antics, and comedic rants that perfectly captures the Friday vibe. Tune in for laughs, bizarre stories, and a peek into the minds of comedy greats. The final year of my radio journey holds a special place in my heart, made even more poignant by the loss of my cherished friends, Carl Ruiz and Vic Henley. Reflecting on that time, I rediscovered the pure passion and exhilaration that drew me to radio in the first place. Amidst the chaos and challenges, we found endless moments of hilarity and camaraderie. Alongside Carl, Vic, and Sherrod Small, we shared unforgettable experiences both on and off the airwaves, our tight-knit bond shining through every episode. That year also marked Carl Ruiz's meteoric rise to stardom, inspiring me to launch the Opie Radio podcast with him. I'm immensely grateful to Erock, Clubsoda Kenny, Paul, and Louis for joining us on this wild ride. Get ready to dive into the rollercoaster of emotions—the highs, the lows, and the laugh-out-loud moments—that defined my last year in radio.
