Tyler Crowe, Matt Frankel, and Jon Quast discuss: - ARM Holdings and Advanced Micro Devices blowout earnings - ARM's ambitious new goal to build its own chips - The bottlenecks to bringing on new chip capacity - Doordash's earnings missing guidance - Mailbag: Why do Starbucks and Dominoes have negative shareholder equity? - Mailbag: How will the SaaSpocalypse affect CRM and WIX? ARM Holdings just made history. For 35 years, ARM was a licensing company — selling IP blueprints to Apple, Nvidia, and Qualcomm. Now they're designing and selling their OWN chips. The ARM AGI CPU is their first-ever production silicon, built specifically for AI inference in data centers — and it's already got Meta, OpenAI, and Cloudflare as customers. In this episode, we break down:What the ARM AGI CPU actually is and why it mattersHow it stacks up against Intel Xeon and AMD EPYC VeniceWhy ARM claims 2x performance per rack vs x86The SoftBank problem — and why we're still not buying ARM stockWhat this means for the CPU shortage in AI data centersCo-designed with Meta, manufactured by TSMC on a 3nm process, and backed by 50+ ecosystem partners — this is a fundamental shift in ARM's business model and a direct shot at x86.Want deeper semiconductor data and financial analysis?Semiconductor Insider: chipstockinvestor.com/pricingFree Weekly Newsletter: mailchi.mp/b1228c12f284/sign-up-landing-page-short-formFiscal.ai 15% discount: fiscal.ai/csiContent is for general information and entertainment only — not individual investment advice. As Arm Holdings (ARM) maneuvers into silicon production and CPU development, EVP and CFO Jason Child explains why agentic AI offers enough demand for Arm to enter the chipmaking race. He believes the company's specialization in building specific parts of CPUs, to crating the entire chip, gives Arm customization opportunities some competitors don't have. "There's nobody like us," Jason says, showing strong conviction in the company's $15 billion revenue guidance through 2031. ======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day.Options involve risks and are not suitable for all investors. Global equities rose on Wednesday as hopes of a path to peace in the Middle East and lower oil prices lifted sentiment. The MSCI World Index gained nearly 1%, its best performance since 9 February, and bond yields eased sharply. Beneath the positive market tone, economic surveys from Switzerland and Germany pointed to weakening confidence. Company news was mixed: Arm Holdings rallied on progress in AI hardware, while Meta and YouTube lost a landmark social‑media addiction case. In Asia, sentiment reversed as oil rebounded and memory stocks weakened after Google flagged an LLM compression method that could cut memory use. Carsten Menke, Head of Next Generation Research, notes that aluminium prices have fallen back after an initial spike following the outbreak of the Iran war, despite the region's central role in the market.(00:00) - Introduction: Helen Freer, Product & Investment Content (00:25) - Markets wrap-up: Mike Rauber, Product & Investment Content (06:45) - Aluminium: Carsten Menke, Head of Next Generation Research (10:05) - Closing remarks: Helen Freer, Product & Investment Content Would you like to support this show? Jim Cramer and Scott Wapner explored stocks rising and crude oil prices falling on a report stating Iran has received a 15-point plan from the U.S. to end the war. An Iranian state news agency said Tehran has rejected a ceasefire. The anchors discussed Jim's "Mad Money" interview with OpenAI CFO Sara Friar: She told Cramer the company has raised additional money to bring its funding round past $120 billion — and explained why the AI startup is shutting down its Sora video app. Also in focus: Memory chip stocks under pressure as Micron shares extend their post-earnings losing streak, JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon on AI and jobs, Arm Holdings soars on plans to build its own chips, mega-tech playbook, Robinhood jumps on stock buyback plan.
A $375M verdict, oil profits on steroids, and AI winners splitting from losers - markets are sending sharp signals. Asia-Pacific markets take their cue from Wall Street’s wobble as geopolitics and valuations collide, hosted by Michelle Martin with Ryan Huang. From Meta’s landmark legal setback to TotalEnergies flagging unprecedented refining margins, policy and profit cycles are colliding. In tech, Arm Holdings surges on AI optimism while Micron Technology slides despite strong earnings - a divergence investors can’t ignore. Meanwhile, governance questions deepen at Grab Holdings, even as U.S. equities start to look “cheap” again. Singapore’s Straits Times Index edges higher, with DFI Retail Group and Jardine Matheson leading, while Wilmar International lags. And in the Last Word - Apple bets big on an AI-powered Siri reboot.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

It's one of the biggest travel companies on the planet and one of the top 20 companies on the Nasdaq, with a value of more than £130 billion, making it bigger than FTSE-listed companies like Unilever and Arm Holdings. Will Bain talks to Booking's chief executive, Glenn Fogel, about how AI is disrupting the jobs market, overtourism, and whether hotels are fighting back against short-term lets. Two new reports on the property market paint a gloomy picture for first-time buyers, mortgage-holders and renters - is the divide growing?Plus, the average age of cars on UK roads has reached a record high of nearly 10 years - we hear from a used car salesman about how drivers' habits are changing.
David Faber and Jim Cramer covered all of the bases on the AI trade extending the record run for stocks. Microsoft posted a blowout quarter and joined Nvidia in the exclusive $4 trillion valuation club. Meta shares hit a fresh all-time high with an earnings beat of its own, as the company ramps up its AI investment strategy. John is joined by Spencer Collins, Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Arm Holdings, the UK-based semiconductor design firm known for powering over 99% of smartphones globally with its energy-efficient CPU designs. They discuss the legal challenges that arise from Arm's unique position in the semiconductor industry. Arm has a unique business model, centered on licensing intellectual property rather than manufacturing processors. This model is evolving as Arm considers moving “up the stack,” potentially entering into processor production to compete more directly in the AI hardware space. Since its $31 billion acquisition by SoftBank in 2016, Arm has seen tremendous growth, culminating in an IPO in 2023 at a $54 billion valuation and its market value nearly doubling since.AI is a major strategic focus for Arm, as its CPUs are increasingly central to AI processing in cloud and edge environments. Arm's high-profile AI projects include Nvidia's Grace Hopper superchip and Microsoft's new AI server chips, both of which rely heavily on Arm CPU cores. Arm is positioned to be a key infrastructure player in AI's future based on its broad customer base, the low power consumption of its semiconductors, and their extensive security features. Nvidia's proposed $40 billion acquisition of ARM collapsed due to regulatory pushback in the U.S., Europe, and China. This led SoftBank to pivot to taking 10% of Arm public. Arm is now aggressively strengthening its intellectual property strategy, expanding patent filings, and upgrading legal operations to better protect its innovations in the AI space.Spencer describes his own career path—from law firm M&A work to a leadership role at SoftBank's Vision Fund, where he worked on deals like the $7.7 billion Uber investment—culminating in his current post. He suggests that general counsel for major tech firms must be intellectually agile, invest in best-in-class advisors, and maintain geopolitical awareness to navigate today's rapidly changing legal and regulatory landscape.Podcast Link: Law-disrupted.fmHost: John B. Aviation safety and airport analyst Ken Christensen joins to analyze the factors causing the chaos at Newark and suggest necessary improvements to the system.
