It's one of our favorite episodes to do every year: the season preview episode! This also begins our FOURTEENTH season of covering Giants' baseball.Everything is fresh as a daisy. Everyone has a 0-0 record (well, except the Dodgers and Padres), and you can just smell the scent of fresh-cut grass in the office. Eric and Chad review what's happened in Giants' baseball over the last three weeks, including the bombshell of landing last year's Cy Young winner, Blake Snell. Then, we get to our picks and prognostications. How many wins? Who will lead the team in ERA? Wins? HR? facial hair rearrangement? (strike that last one). We also solicited win predictions from YOU, our listeners, and we read every single one on air. Vegas has the over/under at 83.5 wins. Where do we land? We also give our divisional and wild card picks, and who will be victorious in the World Series. Also, don't forget to check out Chad's Oracle Park food review video!Go Giants!www.torturecast.com@torturecastfacebook.com/torturecast
Author Jodi Howe is here to talk about anxiety. More specifically, she's here to tell us how to do more than simply manage it. She gives us various examples of how we set ourself up for patterns of anxiety. She shares practical steps for not only catching these patterns but she also offers suggestions on evaluating our schedules and practices that we can unknowingly add overwhelm to our typical day. Jodi's book, The Air That I Breathe is a resource that she couldn't find when she so desperately wanted relief from the panic attacks that threatened to overtake her life. She shares the various lessons she's learned along the way so that you can gain immediate insight vs struggling to figure out the best ways to find freedom. She also shares the countless ways that God steadied her, led her and healed her through this journey. The current (IYKYK) publishing date for Jodi's book is November 27, 2023. You will be able to find it on Amazon as well as Jodi's website (jodihowe.com). Christmas is just around the corner so maybe you want to drop a hint or two to let your peeps know that you'd like a copy for Christmas. Also, if there's someone in your life who could really use help to get their anxiety under control, consider Jodi's resource (aka her book, The Air That I Breathe) an excellent tool in seeing that come to fruition. If you're like me you're gonna immediately love Jodi because she's full of life. While her wit will have you laughing I'm most impressed with her courage to be transparent about real life challenges. Even when life doesn't look neat, predictable and pretty she doesn't side step the hard parts but takes them on knowing that God will see her through. This book is such an incredible tool because Jodi's personal experience has been so beautifully blended with practical steps of application and the wisdom of God's word and the fact that He's already laid out how we can live without anxiety, worry, fear and overwhelm. Let's listen in to discover how we can find God in the midst of the struggle to quiet our mind and find peace in a world that is anything but peaceful. Live Loved and Thrive! @Alifeofthrive.com Connect with Jodi: Website Facebook Instagram X (Formerly Twitter) Jodi's Bio as seen on her website: I grew up in Upstate New York. Raised in Syracuse and even attended Syracuse University. I am still a die-hard fan of everything Orangemen Football and Basketball. I also enjoy the NFL. Go Giants. Oh, and the Bills, too. After all, I am from NY! I now live in North Carolina. In between life, I have lived in New York City, San Francisco, and Albany, New York. Still, I love the South. Not the heat, but the south. The mountains are 3 hours away—the ocean, 2. It's the best of both worlds and I get all of my beloved seasons. At home, I can be found in my comfy chair with my smartphone, writing content and studying through devotionals and the Bible. And sometimes I watch a show or two. I love to be with people and am highly extroverted. I am in my "happy place" when behind a microphone. This may come as a surprise to some, but I also love to retreat on my own. I am fueled by quiet time with the Lord and peaceful surroundings. Reflecting. Praying. Dreaming. Learning and then Praying some more. Focusing on The Air that I Breathe. Which is Jesus! I have lived, grieved, and learned hard lessons through a marital break-up and family struggles (2 Corinthians 4:8-9). I also know anxiety very well, and it is my first actual testimony to God, his love, and experiencing the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). Apostle Paul tells us we will have thorns in our flesh (2 Corinthians 12:7), but God's grace is sufficient for each day. I am a testimony to that. I am a mother of 2 girls. I adore them with all of my heart. They are beautifully unique in their ways, and I am genuinely proud of them. Will you join me in my life-long journey of knowing and loving Jesus? Living in him is the abundant life promised, and yes, it's all good when we shift our perspective toward God's plan for our lives. And wholeheartedly, I believe we can also have some fun along the way. You are Loved, Jodi

Luis Matos and Keaton Winn join Casey Schmitt and Patrick Bailey as part of the Giants' youth movement and the team is already starting to see dividends. Have the Giants achieved their final form? Meanwhile, Bryan and Doug take a look at some real life heartache as they briefly discuss what's going on with the A's before jumping into a preview of the big series this weekend against the Dodgers. Still a good team, but one where the Giants have a clear advantage. If you've been enjoying the show, consider rating us 5 stars on Apple Podcasts or Spotify. The Giants leave New York with a pair of shutout losses under their belt but Bryan and Doug find a few shreds of positives to take from the season-opening series loss against the Yankees. Obviously, they might've fared better had Aaron Judge been in their lineup as opposed to the other team'sm but it wasn't meant to be! On the other hand, maybe Casey Schmitt is meant to be? He won the Barney Nugent Award for most inspiring Spring Training performance, but he wasn't the only surprise leading into this past weekend: Trading for Matt Beaty doesn't move any needles, but it does prove that Farhan Zaidi has one mode of operation and nothing's going to stop him from getting the players he wants. Is Joey Bart still one of those players? Bryan and Doug considering the thinking behind the signing of former Yankee and Twin catcher Gary Sanchez; they also preview the series coming up against the White Sox. A quick tour of the NL West compels Bryan and Doug to state their fears about each team before diving into a segment on predictions about the 2023 Giants: who will be the best hitter? Best pitcher? Which reliever will suddenly turn rotten? Will the Giants trade Marco Luciano? Will Mitch Haniger and Michael Conforto combine to play in 200 games? Finally, and most importantly, what will the Giants' record be? Giants Chroncast is a part of the all-new Fans First Sports Network (@FansFirstSN on Twitter)! The Giants played their third string quarterback along with a bunch of other backups across the offense and defense and kept it close to the Eagles all game. They forced the Eagles to play their starters for a full 60 minutes and only lost 22-16. The Giants put up a fight and Adrianna recaps a lot of the good she saw, especially the defensive play. She of course touches on special teams and briefly previews the upcoming playoff game against the Minnesota Vikings. Go Giants!

Hello and welcome to a very special month of Flaghunters. This month, we are celebrating and honoring Woman's History Month by having some of the best woman that I know in and around the game of Golf ! We start the celebration off with Mia Hamm. I first met Mia through a mutual friend last year and we got to spend some time on the Golf Course. Although I have heard of her, I didn't know much about her. What I found out in the 4 hours we spent together was that she was extremely cool and kind. I could tell that she was passionate about the game and focused on how she can get better. I loved her intensity and great spirit of curiosity. She asked me some great questions on how to manage a golf course to her game and shared some of the things that her and her Golf Coach, Troy Grant work on in her game. It was a great day. Cool right ? Then I get a text from our friend with Mia attached to it asking for me to caddy for her in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. From the middle of Fall until the week of the Tourney, Mia and I texted about the things that I thought she should work on to get ready for these golf courses. As anyone knows that have played Pebble, Spyglass and Monterey Peninsula Country Club Shore Course, they are not easy courses. Mia was eager to get to work and took my advice to heart. She also put me in touch with her coach Troy and we became fast friends. When it came tournment week, little did Mia know, Troy and I were constantly texting each other. Me, sending Mia's swing on video to Troy and Troy relating back the things that they work on. We did it every day, before and after. Troy was instructing me to keep her as present as possible and don't let her go dark, lol. With all of that being said, we had a great week. In this conversation, I learned that Mia is a very humble Star. Not only, was she kind to all of the people that asked her for a picture of a autograph, she was very respectful of the Men that we were paired with and has great respect for the game of Golf. We talk these things in this conversation and about the process of improvement and how she took some of the great lessons she learned from her years of playing Soccer into her Golf game. The PROCESS in applicable in any endevor to acheive excellence and Mia talks in great detail about it. What I learned from Mia was that the road to excellence is NOT a straight path. There are numerous ups and downs, defeats and frustrations. That everyone experiences nerves and anxieties. To be open and ask for help. To show up for people because you never know when you might need people to show up for you. To always have a great spirit of curiosity and, to be teachable. Lastly what I learned from Mia, that even with her great popularity and her star status, these things are trumped by her great character. To me that's all that matters. Thank you Mia for exemplifying these great traits to me and for making the world a better place. It was my honor to spend time with Mia and her husband Nomar. I'm forever grateful to them for welcoming me in with open arms and I proudly call them my friends. Lastly for Nomar, GO GIANTS !!!!!!!!
Happy New Years everyone. Harris and Dan have a very special episode to bring in the new year. Since the Giants are a complete disgrace to even be talked about. There is only one person to come on to talk about this awful team. Our good friend Nicky Snacks. We talk about Barstool Sports Rone coming over for a Game day at Snack's house during the Chargers game a few games ago. Snacks fun week didnt end. He wrote his yearly letter to our owner John Mara. Finally we break down to the meat of the show. Everyone in Giants land expect GM Dave Gettleman being fired at the end of the season. After 4 long and awful season with him as our GM. Harris, Myself and Snacks brain storm the person way to crush the interview being the next GM. We each grabbed a area that MUST be improved for the Giants to be a the once proud franchise once again. Thank you again Snacks for coming on to the show and we will waiting for the news to come any day now. Times maybe rough but as always Go Giants! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/sndpodcast-channel/message
Here we are again, the Giants are 4-8 at the moment. The whole organization, everyone from the Owners down to the youngest Giant fan is just crushed by another disappointing season. Harris and Dan vent and clear some air like our very own Giants festivus episode. We start off with Joe Judge after his refreshing first season with us looking he was righting the ship. Year two has been one wild and a bumpy ride. Every week he preaches the same things every week and it just seems like the team is doing opposite at times and it makes little to no sense and IT HAS to be corrected if he wants to stay here. Next topic we talk about is the bizarre injury that is Daniel Jones neck. Reports came out today that he in fact has structural damage to it and has yet to be cleared for contact. With something so serious as a neck injury I really hope for DJ's sake we don't see him for the rest of the season even though it is really important for him to do so, but his health comes first. We are pulling for you Daniel heal up. Lastly, yesterday rumors have been reported that Seattle Seahawk Russell Wilson would accept taking off his no trade clause in his contract for three teams, one of them was the Giants. Would it be a smart move or a dumb move for the Giants to go after one of the premier QB's in the whole league or do build the team the right away and start with finally correcting the lines like Gettleman was suppose to do the last few years under his tenure as team President and GM. As always hope you enjoy and Go Giants. PS, please like, rate and review. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/sndpodcast-channel/message

Welcome to week 7 of the Giants season. Boy it sure has been a rough start to say the very least. The Giants are 1-5 and are dead last in the NFC East. After a very brutal 38-11 loss to the Rams. 90% of Giants nation has hit rock bottom. Harris has a wild story on how he had a wedding in Florida on Saturday night. Made sure him and his girlfriend had the 1stflight out of Florida to Newark. All to keep his streak of going to every home game since 1998! But poor Harris having to go all these lengths to keep his streak alive. Especially seeing them no show. To add to the wildness Harris just happened to be in the section where Leo Williams got mad at the fans for booing. We talk about the whole booing are fans able to boo poor performances especially when fans think the team, they root for are dogging it. Next day we have ESPN making fun of Joe Judge. Dan Orlovsky called him “Timmy Tough Nuts”, honestly when your team is 1-5 you just have to sit there and just take all the slings and arrows from the national media just mocking every move your team does. It's embarrassing, like I mentioned before it is rock bottom. We try to get excited for Sunday's game vs the Panthers. This is one of the few games left in the season that we feel the Giants can actually win with out any luck being in place for them to win. We shall see does Big Blue pull it out and have the home town fans happy just for one week. Until next week Go Giants and keep hanging in there. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/sndpodcast-channel/message

This is Chad King from Torturecast with a few notes and sounds from last night's 4-0 victory over the LA dodgers in game 1 of the National League division series at Oracle park. Logan Webb reminded all of us of Tim Lincecum's postseason debut against the Braves in game 1 of the NLDS in 2010. Webb threw 7 ⅔ scoreless innings while striking out 10 and issuing zero walks. The offense was powered by a 2 run opposite field home run in the first by Buster Posey, followed by solo shots by Kris Bryant in the 7th and Brandon Crawford in the 8th. Tyler Rogers got one out in the 8th and Camilo Doval retired the side in order in the 9th.Our friend Ryan Leong from Bay Area sports wrap was at Oracle last night and kindly shared some audio with us. The first is Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford talking about how Logan Webb has improved in his abilities over the last two years. Giants starting and winning pitcher Logan Webb says says it's always been his goal since he was a child to pitch in a playoff game Dodgers manager Dave Roberts says his team kept the same approach at the plate and Logan Webb exploited their weaknesses Dodgers losing pitcher Walker Buehler says he didn't do his job and he takes the blame for the loss. A big thanks to Ryan Leong from Bay Area sports wrap, go follow him over on Twitter @ryanleong Well, the Giants and Dodgers will do it again tonight at ORacle when Kevin Gausman faces 20 game winner Julio Urias. Hopefully the Giants can put their foot on the Dodgers' throats by going up 2-0. I'll be in the bleachers with the rowdy crowd tonight. It should be fun. Happy football Friday! Harris and Dan are back for the 1st time coming off a victory vs the New Orleans Saints. Harris and Dan recap the thrilling 27-21 overtime win over the heavy favorite Saints on the road. It didn't look pretty at times but the Giants hung in there and played with grit and heart. Offensively, this was a complete effort and Daniel Jones threw well over 400 yards and had a career day passing wise. For the first time under Jason Garrett it looked like the offense was clicking. Everyone from Toney, John Ross and of course Saquon making plays when the Giants needed it the most. I would be remised if we didn't mentioned the offensive line. The very tough Saints defense didn't touch jones in the pocket all game long and didn't give up a single sack which for this unit we hope its just the start. On to the defense, It isn't pretty at the moment. The Giants will have along day on Sunday in Dallas if they continue to play like they did in the Saints game. They just seem a tad off for whatever reason. As expected the Blake Martinez knee injury was going to be a huge factor. The Saints ran the ball on the defense at will. the whole linebacking core need to find it in their selves to just keep plugging away and getting better each week to just be at the level they are missing with Blake being out. The Dallas Cowboys have started the season off pretty well, no one expects the Giants to go down in to Dallas and shock them. They have to stick together and be the team Joe Judge and everyone on the team have talked about them being such a close team. Its another road division game they need to keep it going for another week and hopefully stack wins here on out. It will not be easy but it can be done. Go Giants! Beat Dallas! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/sndpodcast-channel/message

Another disappointing weekend for the Giants. The only game they where considered favorites going into the game. They lost on a final second field goal to the Falcons. The final score was 17-14 Another week where Harris and Dan are just searching for the right answers and what have led the giants to this awful 0-3 start and try to find a place they they hope can find or fall into their first win in the 2021 season. We feel the Giants are just playing losing football. Always making the mistakes at the wrong times, laps of judgement on the smallest details that good teams button up and sure up and don't let happen. THE things Joe Judge has spoke about a billion times since becoming the Giants Head Coach. It's very confusing. We are beyond baffled. We finally move on to the Saints. The Giants are heading down to one of the toughest stadiums to play in the whole league. Then you add this is the first game back since Covid-19 prevent fans to games and Hurricane Ida preventing the Saints to play at home to start the season. So Saint fans will be ready to go and rock and shake the Super Dome as it always is. We end the show thanking Eli for keeping us some what sane with all the TV he has done so far this season so far. Between his MNF show with Peyton, To his Espn + "Eli's Places" and now His new YouTube Show "The Eli Manning show". The Giants must stick together and find ways to stick around games and dare I say steal one. As always Go Giants! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/sndpodcast-channel/message
This week is all about Eli Manning and if the Giants start to dig themselves out of yet another 0-2 start to the season. The Giants will be facing off another team in the Falcons who are also in the same spot and would like nothing better then to ruin Eli Manning Day that Giants have in store on Sunday. Harris joined me once again. We did one final clean up on last Thursday nights demoralizing loss to the WFT. It was only a matter of a few plays that made a difference in the game and The Giants didn't do enough. One of these days the Giants will not shoot themselves when it's mattered the most. Lets all hope! Like I mentioned a few paragraphs above this. It is Eli Manning Day at MetLife Stadium on Sunday. It will be really fun to see Eli finally get honored that he rightfully deserves. Harris and I break down all our top favorite moments and just highlight the person Eli is. No one more deserving that's for sure. We finally talk about the actual game and the keys for both teams to find away to secure their first win. Its wild that its only week 3 of the season and its very much a must win game for both teams bc in the NFL it gets late early for teams still finding a way to get their 1st win of the season as the season goes on. For everyone's mental health the Giants need to figure out the keys to get their first win. As always, Go Giants! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/sndpodcast-channel/message

Welcome to Week 2 of the Giants Season. Harris and I are already at our breaking point. After a very lack luster week 1 loss vs the Broncos. This episode was a complete vent of the combo of the last 5 seasons and the start of the 2021 season. We talk about the offense and defense plenty of blame to go around. Let's face it the whole Giants organization needs to look at themselves in the mirror, because this isn't Giants Football. Between not getting off the field on 3rd and 4thdown and making Teddy Bridgewater look like an elite QB and taking advantage of the Giants getting to their spots. They made the defense pay and it was down right ugly. It was one week I still believe in the defense and hopefully they are angry and ready to show up on Thursday in DC. On to the Offense of side of the ball. There is really nothing to really be said then it's the same old song and dance with this offense. NO EXPLOSION or life minus a few plays on Sunday but not enough to be anywhere near to be a respectable offense still. If the plays aren't explosive enough then either Daniel Jones doesn't make the right reads or turnover the ball or the O-line breaks down at THE worst moments of the game. It's time for the offense to prove the whole world wrong hopefully in week 2 vs a very stout defense that WFT as. We hate being this negative at the start of week 2. But it has been a five-year process of just poor football being played and the Giants being a laughing stock of the league. Harris and I just had our breaking point because we care so much about this team and we aren't going to give up on them any time soon. Here goes nothing GO GIANTS! Just win baby! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/sndpodcast-channel/message
It's football Friday for Week 1 of the NFL season. It is here ladies and gentlemen! As always Dan and Harris come to you to wrap up the work week with our pre game break down for the upcoming Giants game. The New York Giants are home on Sunday at 4:25 vs the Denver Broncos. This will be the first time the Giants will be having a crowd for a regular season same since 2019! The fan should be juiced up and hopefully ready to go as well as the players. The Giants offense will have a big test this week vs a very tough Bronco's defense. It will be interesting to see what the Giants game plan will be to slow down the pass rush and make the smart decisions and limit the glaring mistakes that have plagued them in recent years. Daniel Jones in year three of his career. Its time to put up or shut up to prove a lot of people wrong. We break down the Giants Defense and They face off vs Their former Head Coach Pat Shurmur. Harris and I wonder if he has something up his sleeves vs his former team. With the Giants defense being as good as they are projected, we hope they are able to handle Teddy Bridgewater who is a decent NFL QB but he can be beaten. Here is to what is hopefully a fun football season. As always GO GIANTS! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/sndpodcast-channel/message

Welcome to another edition to blue views 324! By the time you are listening to this the Giants will be facing off the Broncos in 9 Days! This week I did something different due to scheduling. After the breaking news of the Giants finally announcing that they will be retiring Michael Strahan's number 92. Dan wanted to take a trip down memory lane to talk about his finer moment of one of his all-time favorite Giants of all time. Then we bring to you our normal show with Harris. We break down the initial 53-man roster from Tuesday night. Like I mentioned before this isn't the most recent roster but it was an instant reaction to the original 53. We break down each position and if there was any shocking move, we went a little bit more in-depth in that specific spot. Lastly Harris and I who have always been big fan of Wfan we thought it would be a fun way to honor Mike and the Mad Dog. We did our win/loss each regular season game for the 2021. We both had a lot of fun doing this since we have been doing it when we talk to each year when the season gets closer and when the schedules first come out. I really feel like people would enjoy this as much as we did. The season is so close that we can taste it. As always GO GIANTS! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/sndpodcast-channel/message
We have finally made it to the Last week of the pre season! It's Friday so that means Dan welcomes his co-host Harris to recap what happened this week in the world of the New York Football Giants. The Giants are home this Sunday to face the New England Patriots. Before Sundays matchup The Giants went up to New England and had two join practices with the Pats. Dan and Harris recap everything that happened the last two days both positive and negative. Both of us are just Chopping at the bit because this is the first time most of the Giants starters are playing this week in game situations and we are excited to see if they are ready to go in two weeks vs Denver or we are going to watch them look rusty and worry for the next two weeks. We are ready to see who steps up in the second half of the upcoming game to fill out our the final roster spots. Until then Go Giants. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/sndpodcast-channel/message
Hello Disney Friends! Welcome to this month's DisNOT episode! As 90s kids, of course we choose a movie from the 90s that gives us all the nostalgic feels that the classic Disney movies give us…”The Sandlot” from 1993. Also, fun fact! This movie was made by Fox studios, which Disney bought out, so you can watch this on DisneyPlus, even though it wasn't made by Disney. Yay! Joel remembers this very fondly and watched this many times growing up, however, he mostly watched it in Spanish, so he knows the movie really well...just maybe not the voices as much. Avery watched this a few times growing up, but she didn't own it and doesn't remember the basic plot. She does remember the main parts though, like playing baseball on the Sandlot and their love for Babe Ruth, the pool scene, and the chase scene at the end. She also was a big baseball fan growing up(and still is...GO GIANTS!) and admired Babe Ruth. Listen and find out what she did in honor of him and this movie. There were definitely some parts of the movie we didn't remember and it was fun watching this now and still loving it! Between all the sarcastic comments made by Ham, to the sweet side of Benny, to fun facts from behind the scenes, we really cover all our bases. ;) Like what I did there? Anyways, if you like baseball, friendship, old movies, or just want to laugh, then join us and listen to our podcast on, “The Sandlot”!
Welcome to another Friday edition of Blue Views 324. It's Friday and that means one thing Dan welcomes Harris on to preview the up coming game vs the Cleveland Browns. This isn't your normal ramp up to game day. The Giants headed to Cleveland a few days earlier to have a few “joint practices” with each other. We recap Thursday's practice through the eyes of the media members. Harris felt a little bummed out with a number of positions going into this week's game and going into the regular season. Dan tries to talk him off the ledge a bit. But everything Harris' mentions is fair and valid and we have to basically wait, see and hope these holes get plugged up finally after years of being glaring issues for the G-Men. Dan plays the What If game with what would it be like if The Giants never traded Odell Beckham Jr before the 2019 season. It was a healthy debate of should the Giants have pulled the trigger or not. Its still one of those debates a ton of Giants fans still have this day even though Odell isn't the same player he was his first few years with the Giants. Until we talk again, thank you for listening and hopefully you enjoy watching the Giants this week. GO GIANTS! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/sndpodcast-channel/message
Welcome to another mini episode of Blue views 324. I originally wasn't going to do a show until later this week. But today at Giants Training Camp they Giants put on the Pads for the very first time at camp. With that being said, as always tempers flared up and started a huge brawl to the point that Joe Judge ended practice that very moment and had the whole team run gassers from one end zone to another a number of times and then sent the other coaches back and let the team have it as they should of. Of course the media makes a big deal out of it but if you have been around football most of your life like I have. There are always fights during training camp. Camp for the most part is hard and one huge mental test and going up against the same player over and over and over again. You expect fights. Thankfully no one got hurt and its time to move on to the next day and wait to take it out on the Jets next weekend. Bunch of the players post practiced talk about it and admitted that it probably wasn't the smartest of moves but it can sometimes spark a team to become a closer team and we are all for it because as Giants fans who have been with this team every season the last few years. We are happy to hear these words coming out of Logan Ryan's mouth of everyone is tired of losing. Just gets you excited for the upcoming year. In other news Wr Kenny Golladay left practice what looked like a hamstring injury. No reports came out to the public just yet so we just have to wait and see and hope everything is alright. We don't need Kenny to play much in the pre season anyway so this can help make or break a lot of guys making the roster fighting for the 5th Wr roster spot at the end of camp. Who will take advantage of the opportunity if Kenny is in fact more hurt then hoped. Until next time Go Giants! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/sndpodcast-channel/message

A sense of fear hangs over this entire episode, almost like a swarm of murder hornets. Seriously, we have murder hornets now? It seems like only yesterday that Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker was laughing off notions of a regional re-opening of the state. Actually, it pretty much was just yesterday that he was laughing at the idea before he embraced it. The buck stops with him. Until it doesn’t. What will be the political consequences if schools don’t open in the fall? Will frustrated parents seek their vengeance on elected officials, no matter who they are? At an appearance in Arizona, President Trump toured a factory floor without a mask and soundtracked by Guns N’ Roses rendition of “Live and Let Die.” Worst James Bond film ever. Eric and Joe share their new-found, long-standing passion for Korean baseball, and totally not because it’s the only live baseball we can watch right now. Go Giants and Dinos! And finally, Japanese honey bees kill murder hornets by sacrificing one bee to the hornet while the others swarm, vibrate their bodies to raise the temperature inside the swarm and cook the hornet to death. Sounds delightful. Eric and Joe share their worst-ever sacrificial bee-like job experience.

The beef between Drake and Meek Mill is starting to look like the rap industry and the wrestling industry should merge at this point because Drake is laying the smack down on Meek as we speak. Joe Garofoli and I were trying to lock down this TV Talk Machine podcast as quickly as possible so that we could walk down and watch the Giants home opener (we didn't know at the time that the G-Men would get pounded, though we did have our suspicions). Opening Day still means something to us because we're proud American baseball fans. So, doing only one podcast this week, we were anxious to make it quick and informative. We did neither. But hey, we were wearing the Bunting Robes, we took a few hacks at e-mail and phone calls (and we were about as successful as the Giants against Greg Maddux); we got bashed for our slackerness from, ahem, Jeff in the NoMi area (North Mission); we also got an e-mail from someone representing the 919 area code (why we love area codes and the respect they engender from the people who live there can't really be explained); and then, after a sagging middle section, we got some great calls, including one mystery caller who completely beat down one of our regular callers. This is what happens when people get angry. And snarky. But we liked it, because she brought the high heat. Oh and before that, we came up with a new segment (or dream): Pixie Girl Brawls! Oh, yeah, we also used a lot of baseball metaphors. And then we had Benny wrap it up so that we could get to the 21st Amendment. Go Giants! And may all your bloop singles and weak flares fall in; may all your double-steals work and your pitching hold up. Otherwise, well, it's a beautiful park.
