As has become a yearly tradition, It Happened One Year is taking a look at a single night of programming from the topic's television season, and so it begins with ABC's November 3rd shows! T.J. Hooker, The Love Boat, and the long forgotten Finder of Lost Loves comprised Saturday night entertainment on the Alphabet Network, and Sarah & Joe are there! Listen as they question strange props, guest casting, theme songs, hairdos, Gavin MacLeod's career decisions, Aaron Spelling's thematic empire, Heather Thomas' acting instincts, who the hell Connie Sellecca is, why anyone knows Charo's name, and much much more!
Season 1 - Episode 18 "Weight Loss Secrets, Ex-Girlfriends, and the Mystery of the Horrible Smelling Cat Turd: A Journey to Self-Confidence in Chicago" In this mind-bending episode of Butter Town, your hosts Jaysin and John embark on an interdimensional journey that will have you questioning the very fabric of reality itself. We're diving deep into the Butterverse Chronicles, a series of ancient texts that reveal the secret history of butter's influence on the course of human civilization. Yes, you heard that right – butter, the unsung hero behind every major historical event, from the construction of the pyramids (with butter as mortar, of course) to the moon landing (butter-powered rocket, anyone?). Join us as we interview renowned conspiracy theorists, including the enigmatic Butternaut, who claims to have discovered a hidden butter portal beneath the Eiffel Tower. We'll also explore the shocking revelation that all major world leaders are actually sentient sticks of butter in disguise, pulling the strings of global politics from their dairy-filled lairs. Plus, we've got an exclusive interview with a butter whisperer who communicates with butter sculptures to predict the future of humanity! But that's not all! In a world-first experiment, Jaysin and John will attempt to communicate with the Butterverse itself by slathering butter on a sacred toaster. Will they unlock the secrets of the universe, or just make a really tasty piece of toast? Tune in to find out, and prepare to have your reality buttered up like never before. Episode 18 of Butter Town – where butter meets the bizarre!

Understanding people better can help us in various ways. We can get to know them better, whether there is difference on their public and private personas. This episode is the continuation of the previous episode ‘Face Reading for Fun and Profit Psychological Tactics for Understanding People Fast Part 1'. Tune in as Dr. David Snyder dive in a little bit deeper about face reading. Standout Quotes: “Absorb what is useful, discard that which is useless or not useful, add what is uniquely your own.” “Everything means something. There's nothing that it hasn't.” “When you unpack a feature, and you help them resolve it, that marking goes away.” “When you do things that are in harmony with your main or your destiny, your body lights up, you feel more joyful, you feel like you're in the right place, doing the right thing for the right reasons all is right with the world.” Key Takeaways: If the information you have gotten is useful, apply it to yourself. However, if it's something that doesn't add up to the uniqueness within you, ignore and discard it. When it comes to face reading, everything has a meaning, whether it is in their facial features or reactions. Even if you aren't aware of what it means, it still represents something. Unpacking a feature, a certain memory of a person has the ability change what they feel. The original marking that you used to see to them will go away once that change happens. When more spirit enters the body that brings fulfillment, you'll feel the joy that you've never felt before. It will feel like everything is okay and the world is in a better place. This week on It Was a Thing on TV we look to find lost loves but not before we got slapped by Mr. Spock. First, with Valentine's Day having just passed we're talking about a real-life finder of lost loves, who became the main character in this drama from 1984-5. The series is loaded with guest stars, which is unsurprising since this was an Aaron Spelling production. Next, we've reached another milestone, with the release of episode 350! The Slap isn't known for much more than the titular slap, delivered by Spock?! What the hell Zachary Quinto? Finally, in honor of Presidents' Day we at It Was a Thing on TV present another example of someone trying to make fetch happen. We had the pleasure of interviewing Tyson Motsenbocker over Zoom video.Where do dreams go when you become an adult? Well, they don't disappear or dissolve into the ether. Those dreams simply change with you. However, it doesn't mean you can't still grasp the way they made you feel. As such, we treasure memories by recalling them and sharing them as often as possible. Tyson Motsenbocker preserves those youthful memories in his music, etching them into the fabric of the songs. The Washington-born and California based singer and songwriter encases them in lithe melodies, upbeat soundscapes, and ponderous lyrics. After generating tens of millions of streams and cultivating a devout fan base, he examines the jump from childhood to adulthood – or maybe just the space between the two – on his third full-length offering, Milk Teeth [Tooth & Nail]. Tyson has consistently tuned into such emotions with relatability and vulnerability. Following his 2016 debut LP Letters to Lost Loves, he spent as much time as possible on the road, performing countless shows and captivating audiences across America and beyond. However, he connected deeply on 2020's Someday I'll Make It All Up To You. Meanwhile, “Autumn Love” was generating two and a half million Spotify streams. The followup single “Sunday Morning” followed close behind with nearly two million Spotify streams. Just a handful of shows into what was booked to be a two year touring schedule, Covid 19 shut all touring down. Motsenbocker and his band headed home, where a period of reflection ensued, setting the foundation for what would become Milk Teeth. Tyson hit the studio in Orange County, California with producer Nathan Cimino, drummer James McCalister, bassist Patrick Dodd and keyboardist Matthew Wright. Thematically reflected in the title (another name for “baby teeth”), the music struck a sweet spot akin to the “summer after you graduate from high school where you're walking the line between the confusion and excitement of childhood and the gravity of being an adult.” In the end, Tyson is an adult, and it ain't so bad. In fact, it sounds beautiful on Milk Teeth. We want to hear from you! In this week's episode we cover the mysteries case of Taylor Kramer, former bass player for the psychedelic rock band Iron Butterfly (Ina-gada-davida bayyybayyy!). After Kramer retired from the rock world he became successful in the world of technology. Kramer had developed a, at the time, state of the art program that could find missing children. As time went on, however, Kramer started experiencing delusions and became more paranoid. Eventually Kramer went missing, leaving his grieving wife wondering what went wrong. Next we discuss the heart warming case of Michele West. As a teenager, West ran away from home and while on a Greyhound was concvinced by three men, who at first she perceived as frightening, to return home. Not only did these men help convince her to return home but they protected her on her journey. The conversation takes a weird turn when Megan presses Aaron about his past relationship. We also talk about the romantic tendencies that we both had before dating each other (13:55-20:20). Megan's car got hit during the weekend and we discuss the experience filing the police report. That conversations leads into Megan's theory of why she is so unlucky in life (21:05-34:00). We wrap up the podcast by talking about our new favorite Netflix show, Love is Blind (37:40-47:50). That and more on today's podcast! #WeLoveYouAll #FOA Follow us on Instagram: @thefairlyoddasians Follow us on Tik Tok: @thefairlyoddasians Follow us on Twitter: @fairlyoddasians Email us: fairlyoddasians@gmail.com --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/thefairlyoddasians/message

This week Unsolved Mysteries takes us on a trip to the Bermuda Triangle, or as Robert Stack (and no one else) calls it, "The Triangle of Death." This episode also brings us two Lost Loves, which you might think would be our dream, and you would be right if they weren't so freaking sad. *** >Support the show, get bonus content! www.patreon.com/perhapsitsyou > Special Outro music by Olivia Hinthong >Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter @PerhapsItsYou, or email us at perhapsitsyoupodcast@gmail.com.

Guest Info/Bio: This week we speak with Dr. Pauline Boss. Pauline is an educator and researcher who is widely recognized for her groundbreaking research on what is now known as the theory of ambiguous loss. All losses are touched with ambiguity. Yet, Dr. Boss’s research and practice have revealed that those who suffer ambiguous loss, losses without finality or resolution, bear a particular and challenging burden. Whether it is the experience of caring for a parent who is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, or waiting to learn the fate of a spouse or family member who has disappeared in a disastrous event like 9/11 or Hurricane Katrina, the experience of loss is magnified and is more significantly challenging to overcome because the loss is linked to a lack of closure. People who experience and live with an ambiguous loss find it hard to understand their situation, difficult to cope and almost impossible to move ahead with their lives without professional counseling, love and support. Since 1973, Dr. Boss has studied ambiguous loss, and trained and worked with psychologists and counselors to help individuals and families who have experienced a life-altering ambiguous loss, often described as a frozen grief, recover their resiliency despite the on-going ambiguity. Drawing on her research and clinical experience, Dr. Boss is committed to working with families to develop meaningful strategies that help them cushion the pain, cope with ambiguous loss and move forward to live productive lives. Pauline Boss received her Ph.D. in Child Development and Family Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1975. From 1975 to 1981, Dr. Boss was an assistant and then associate professor with tenure at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 1981, she joined the Department of Family Social Science at the University of Minnesota and continued to work in that position until 2005. In 1995-96, Dr. Boss was appointed Visiting Professor at the Harvard Medical School, and in 2004-2005, she was the Moses Distinguished Professor at the Hunter School of Social Work in New York City. Tyson Motsenbocker is a songwriter and guitarist living in San Diego, California. After the release of two EPs Until it Lands and Rivers and Roads, Motsenbocker defined himself as a mature lyricist and accomplished songwriter, sharing the stage with the likes of David Bazan, Vance Joy and James Bay. In 2013, after the death of his mother and hero, Motsenbocker walked the six hundred mile stretch of coastline to San Francisco in memory of her. His most recent album Letters to Lost Loves is based on his experience losing his mother and walking down the west coast. The album has been incredibly well received.
