The radical plan to rethink work, wealth and planetary well-being

A group of more than 40 researchers spent 20 months devising a plan for the world to achieve ecological sustainability within planetary boundaries, all while seeing incomes rise for 98% of the global population and reducing working hours for everybody by half to two and a half days a week. The plan to achieve this by 2100 is laid out in the recent "Global Justice Report." If it sounds utopian, Lucas Chancel, the co-director of the World Inequality Lab and editor of the report, is the first person to acknowledge this, but explains why it's not only possible — there's even historical precedent for many of the measures the report outlines. Achieving this plan rests on three pillars: decarbonization and the energy transition; a shift towards "sufficiency," defined here as the reduction of labor and production of superfluous products not needed for human survival; and a "drastic reduction in inequality of income, wealth and power." "Basically, our plan is thought in a way that it can work with [an] incomplete coalition of actors," he says. "That is, you can start to implement it even though you don't have a global wealth tax. But our argument is that progressively, more and more countries [are] doing exactly these things." Please take a minute to let us know what you think of our podcast here. Lewis Herms, running for governor of California in 2026, exposes the hidden architecture of government corruption, election integrity failures, geoengineering programs, and intelligence-linked influence networks shaping Hollywood and California politics in episode 229 of Far Out with Faust.Lewis Herms is a political outsider, researcher, and grassroots organizer known for his work in the truther community and for challenging the systems he believes drive corruption across California and the United States. His investigations span human trafficking pipelines, intelligence-agency influence, media manipulation, and the structural failures in homelessness and child welfare. As a 2026 gubernatorial candidate, Herms advocates for sovereignty, transparency, and community-driven solutions — arguing that Californians already have the power to reclaim their state from entrenched political interests. In this conversation, Faust and Lewis explore the systems, narratives, and power structures that Herms believes shape political reality in California and beyond. Their discussion moves through the hidden mechanisms he's spent years investigating — from institutional corruption to media influence and public perception — and why Herms argues that sovereignty, transparency, and critical thinking are the only paths to meaningful change. In this episode:- The CIA-adjacent intelligence web tying Hefner, MK Ultra, and Hollywood influence- The Green Acres mansion details that reshaped Herms' view of covert operations- Adrenochrome symbolism and the repeating patterns he sees in elite culture- Media conditioning and the power of narrative repetition- Why election integrity depends on simple, transparent systems- Geoengineering and decades of weather-modification programs- Smart meters and the environmental anomalies Herms tracks- The Maui and California wildfires through his alternative investigative lens- Physics-based analysis and why he questions official 9/11 narratives- Homelessness and child-welfare failures driven by systemic incentives- The two-party trap and how it keeps Californians divided- The rise of grassroots sovereignty movements across the state- How narrative deprogramming fuels real personal and political freedomChapters00:00:00 Ron Burkle, P. Few people understand the far-left extremist group Antifa as well as investigative journalist Andy Ngo, author of “Unmasked: Inside Antifa's Radical Plan to Destroy Democracy.”He has been beaten, attacked, and nearly killed by Antifa for his undercover reporting of the group's operations. In an executive order signed on Sept. 22, President Donald Trump designated the group a domestic terrorist organization. On Oct. 8, the president hosted a roundtable focused on Antifa and invited Ngo and other journalists to participate. In this episode, Ngo recounts his harrowing personal experiences. What will it take to actually dismantle Antifa? How is Antifa organized and funded? And what does Ngo make of the broader trends of political violence, from the assassination of Charlie Kirk to the murder of the United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson?Views expressed in this video are opinions of the host and the guest, and do not necessarily reflect the views of The Epoch Times.

FAN MAIL--We would love YOUR feedback--Send us a Text MessageFormer President Donald Trump's recent designation of Antifa as a "major terrorist organization" has sent shockwaves through political circles. Speaking from Truth Social during his UK visit, Trump announced plans to investigate Antifa's funding sources—a move that coincides with disturbing revelations about the assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.Investigators have discovered Antifa-related engravings on the shooter's rifle and bullet casings, including references to "Bella Ciao," an anti-fascist anthem. The 22-year-old suspect, described as having "pronounced leftist views," maintained a romantic relationship with a transgender roommate and may have been motivated by opposition to Kirk's conservative stances on gender identity, immigration, and Christianity. While formal organizational ties to Antifa remain unconfirmed, authorities continue investigating these troubling connections.Journalist Andy Ngo's definitive work, "Unmasked: Inside Antifa's Radical Plan to Destroy Democracy," provides crucial context for understanding this dangerous movement. Ngo—who suffered a cerebral hemorrhage after being assaulted by Antifa members in 2019—documents how Antifa operates as a sophisticated revolutionary force rather than merely "street hooligans." His research reveals a pan-leftist coalition of militant anarchists and communists united by their desire to destroy American institutions and bring about revolutionary change. The movement's deliberate use of broad definitions of "fascism" allows them to justify violence against virtually any perceived opponent.America stands at a precarious crossroads, with political violence threatening our democratic foundations. When analyzing recent tragedies—from mass shootings to targeted killings—disturbing patterns of ideological extremism emerge. As we navigate these troubled waters, Andy Ngo's reporting offers us invaluable insights into the forces working to destabilize our society. Our nation's future depends on our collective ability to recognize and reject extremism in all its forms especially from this radical left group.  Key Points from the Episode:• Trump's administration will investigate funding sources behind Antifa• The shooter's rifle and bullet casings featured Antifa slogans including "Bella Ciao"• Shooter had connections to the trans community and a transgender roommate• Andy Ngo's book "Unmasked" provides comprehensive insights into Antifa's tactics• Antifa is described as a pan-leftist movement of militant anarchists and communists• Their strategy includes destabilizing society through propaganda, radicalization and violence• Recent political violence shows America is "a nation on edge, a nation in deep crisis"• We must seek objective truth rather than subjective interpretationsRead Andy Ngo's book "Unmasked: Inside Antifa's Radical Plan to Destroy Democracy" to understand what we're dealing with, follow his reporting, and pray for our country as we face these challenges together.Other resources: Want to leave a review? Seventeen states and Washington, DC, with 209 electoral votes total, have already enacted the legislation. This means 61 electoral votes are needed in order for the popular vote–the will of the people–not the outdated and dangerous Electoral College, which gives way too much power to a handful of swing states, determines our elections.
