In this deeply intimate conversation, I sit down with Libby and Andy Drish, a couple who have mastered the delicate balance between devotion and freedom in their 15-year relationship. Starting young and admittedly anti-relationship, they've navigated through volatile beginnings to discover a level of harmony most couples never experience. What sets their journey apart is their extraordinary commitment to relationship mastery—they've dedicated years to studying with the world's most advanced relationship teachers, experimenting with cutting-edge frameworks, and developing their own maps for love's terrain. Their journey reveals how relationships evolve through distinct stages and how the thread of devotion can sustain you through the darkest moments when nothing else is working. Unlike most couples who rely on conventional wisdom, Andy and Libby have approached their relationship like relationship astronauts—venturing into uncharted territories, testing boundaries, and bringing back wisdom that few have access to.What You'll Learn:The three stages of relationship evolution: codependence, independence, and interdependenceHow to navigate "death portals" in your relationship where old dynamics must die for new ones to emergeThe Infinite Theory of Love - a powerful map for balancing freedom and safetyWhy devotion feels like death in the darkest times but becomes the most exquisite experience in the lightest timesHow to shift from exhausting stage two "processing" to the harmony and polarity of stage threeThe difference between conditional romantic love and unconditional loveWhy vulnerability and emotional expression are more effective than verbal negotiationThe immense power of their weekly "ritual" practice and how it can transform your relationshipIf you've ever felt lost in your relationship, questioning whether the struggles are worth it, or longing for a deeper connection that seems just out of reach, this episode offers a rare glimpse into what's possible. Andy and Libby share battle-tested wisdom from their 15-year experiment, revealing maps and frameworks they wish they'd had during their hardest moments. Their journey proves that with devotion as your North Star, you can create a relationship that continually evolves into something you wouldn't have believed possible.Tools/resources mentioned here:The Three Stages of Relationship- Inspired by David DeidaConnect with Libby and Andy:Website: https://www.theartoflove.com/Connect with Raj:Instagram: @raj_janaSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/22Hrw6VWfnUSI45lw8LJBPYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@raj_janaLegal Disclaimer: The information and opinions discussed in this podcast are for educational and entertainment purposes only. Devin Moss (atheist chaplain and humanist) late last year ministered a convicted murderer to his death by execution in the state of Oklahoma. Significantly he provided the prisoner, Phillip Hancock, spiritual counsel for more than a year, and “prayed” with him in the execution room…all without drawing on notions of an afterlife or a forgiving God entity. Which begs, what does spiritual counsel look like without “God” and the promise of hope that comes with It? What can be turned to? What are the practices and consolations that work to provide peace and cosmic perspective in the face of this final terror? In this chat, Devin and I talk about humanist approaches to death and, to life more broadly. This is a conversation for everyone (all of us?) grappling with a world facing increased existential threats.SHOW NOTESYou can listen to the Wild episode with Sister Helen Prejean hereHere is the original New York Times article about Devin and Phillip's relationshipIf you need to know a bit more about me… head to my "about" pageFor more such conversations subscribe to my Substack newsletter, it's where I interact the most!Get your copy of my book, This One Wild and Precious LifeLet's connect on Instagram and WeAre8 Hosted on Acast. Unforgiveness is a terrible prison, but you have the key to your freedom and that key is called Forgiveness. Today in Matthew 18 we see 3 important things: Relationships matter to GodA proper way to resolve conflictThe power & freedom that's found in forgiveness. More Scripture from today's episode 1 John 4:20 "If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen."Mark 11:25 “And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses”Ephesians 4:32 " Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you."Top Quotes God has forgiven us for our sin, who are we not to forgive others?Forgiveness means you aren't allowing that pain to destroy, define you, or own you.You can forgive somebody, walk in love, speak to them, and even pray for them, but not be as close to them. Think of the word power. What images does it evoke? A strongman reigning over his country? A boss controlling your work destiny? A family member making decisions for you? When you think of power, do you ever see yourself in that image? Too often, we travel through life unaware of the power we hold within ourselves. We easily allow ourselves to bow to the wishes of others, believing it's easier to go along to get along. But at what price to our soul? How then do we reclaim the power within us? We discuss this and more with transformational coach and critically acclaimed speaker Christian De La Huerta, who tells us:•why we give away our power so easily•the difference between external and internal power•why women give away their power more easily than men•why the world needs women to own their power now more than ever•how to find your power in a toxic relationshipIf you want to avoid the harmful effects of relinquishing your power, don't miss this eye-opening episode of Dream Power Radio. With 30 years of experience, Christian de la Huerta is a sought-after spiritual teacher, personal transformation coach and leading voice in the breathwork community.
