In this deeply intimate conversation, I sit down with Libby and Andy Drish, a couple who have mastered the delicate balance between devotion and freedom in their 15-year relationship. Starting young and admittedly anti-relationship, they've navigated through volatile beginnings to discover a level of harmony most couples never experience. What sets their journey apart is their extraordinary commitment to relationship mastery—they've dedicated years to studying with the world's most advanced relationship teachers, experimenting with cutting-edge frameworks, and developing their own maps for love's terrain. Their journey reveals how relationships evolve through distinct stages and how the thread of devotion can sustain you through the darkest moments when nothing else is working. Unlike most couples who rely on conventional wisdom, Andy and Libby have approached their relationship like relationship astronauts—venturing into uncharted territories, testing boundaries, and bringing back wisdom that few have access to.What You'll Learn:The three stages of relationship evolution: codependence, independence, and interdependenceHow to navigate "death portals" in your relationship where old dynamics must die for new ones to emergeThe Infinite Theory of Love - a powerful map for balancing freedom and safetyWhy devotion feels like death in the darkest times but becomes the most exquisite experience in the lightest timesHow to shift from exhausting stage two "processing" to the harmony and polarity of stage threeThe difference between conditional romantic love and unconditional loveWhy vulnerability and emotional expression are more effective than verbal negotiationThe immense power of their weekly "ritual" practice and how it can transform your relationshipIf you've ever felt lost in your relationship, questioning whether the struggles are worth it, or longing for a deeper connection that seems just out of reach, this episode offers a rare glimpse into what's possible. Andy and Libby share battle-tested wisdom from their 15-year experiment, revealing maps and frameworks they wish they'd had during their hardest moments. Their journey proves that with devotion as your North Star, you can create a relationship that continually evolves into something you wouldn't have believed possible.Tools/resources mentioned here:The Three Stages of Relationship- Inspired by David DeidaConnect with Libby and Andy:Website: https://www.theartoflove.com/Connect with Raj:Instagram: @raj_janaSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/22Hrw6VWfnUSI45lw8LJBPYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@raj_janaLegal Disclaimer: The information and opinions discussed in this podcast are for educational and entertainment purposes only. When he's not "talking money", Andy enjoys being a Soccer Dad, singing karaoke with his wife and relaxing on his hammock. “We need to start making some decisions that are for our personal betterment because our kids have a resource that a lot of us don't have, is they have got a lot more time. They've got a lot more time on their side to build wealth, to take care of their future, to do the things they need to do to create the life that they have. So whether that's investing or earning their own money or choosing career paths that work best for them, they've got time on their side. We're a little older. We don't have as much time, maybe not as much energy either to make all these things happen. So we're gonna have to make some decisions that are really best for our personal future.” - Andy Hill Timestamps: 00:00 - Introduction to the episode 02:36 - Meet our special guest, Andy Hill from Marriage Kids and Money 04:01 - The importance of teaching kids to become independent 06:44 - Establishing boundaries with older children 09:32 - Teaching kids family and financial responsibilities 14:55 - Deciding between saving for college and retirement 19:18 - Last words of wisdom 23:12 - Resources for teaching children about money and financial planning 24:44 - Andy's book recommendation 26:30 - Connect with Andy For easy step by step directions and worksheets on getting your budget together and done in 30 minutes a month, download my FREE Budget Starter Kit on www.budgetsmadeeasy.com/start And if you enjoyed the podcast today and got some great takeaways, I'd really appreciate it if you followed the Money Mindset Podcast so you don't miss out on future episodes Resources and Links Mentioned: * A free section of my new course Make My Kid a Millionaire!: www.marriagekidsandmoney.com/AshelyP * Budget Starter Kit: www.budgetsmadeeasy.com/start Book Recommendation: * Die With Zero by Bill Perkins Connect with Ashley: * Instagram: www.instagram.com/budgetsmadeeasy Connect with Andy: * Website: www.marriagekidsandmoney.com * Instagram: www.instagram.com/MarriageKidsandMoney * Facebook: www.facebook.com/MarriageKidsandMoney * Twitter: www.twitter.com/AndyHillMKM * LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/AndyHillMKM Special Guest: Andy Hill.

Should you train differently if you're predominantly a fast or slow twitch lifter? Can slow and fast fibers convert into one another? How do we measure the fiber composition of muscles? Are fast twitch fibers stronger than slow twitch? Can you produce fiber-type specific hypertrophy? Welcome to episode 359 of The Outdoor Biz Podcast, tonight I'm speaking with Forloh's Andy Techmanski. Forloh is a relatively new brand in the technical apparel space and Andy is here to share his inspiration and talk about the unique new products and technologies they have brought to market. Facebook Twitter Instagram The Outdoor Biz Podcast Love the show? Subscribe, rate, review, and share! Sign up for my Newsletter HERE. Show Notes FORLOH 01:42 How Andy got into hunting. We were always hunting with three or four generations, of hunters and started as early as I can remember, three, four years old going out with a stick beating bushes and everything, right? Playing bird dog and you know, everything else from my dad and grandfather. 03:03 What was the inspiration behind Forough? You know, spending a lot of money on gear that just wouldn't work all year. So I started to brainstorm the idea and it was something that evolved over five years before I actually started Forough. 04:07 Where's the name come from? FORLOH is an acronym for "For Love of Hunting". 31:30 Do you have any suggestions or advice for folks wanting to get into the outdoor apparel business? I will tell you this, you know, when we got into this, we absolutely got into it to not hurt any of the other brands out there you know, we were starting something completely different. Made in the USA, using different technologies, so on and so forth. There's a lot of room in the industry for others. Andy Sinclair likes to say that if you lived in the Midwest from May through October, it would be the best place you've ever lived. For the CEO of Midloch Investment Partners, the Midwest is the Mid-Best. Andy is an accomplished real estate investment professional whose experience spans real estate private equity investments and institutional brokerage. He has invested and participated in approximately $2.0 billion in real estate transactions. Andy considers himself a value investor with an appreciation for growth-oriented investing. He believes that people, management teams, and the right locations are the heartbeat of real estate. While the Midwest may not have the buzz of the Sun Belt or Southwest, the region has a lot to offer, including solid job fundamentals, a workforce with strong work ethic, good underlying growth and, perhaps most importantly, better valuations. One of the most unique things about Midloch is that they tend to look for deals in the $5 million to $50 million range, too small for most large competitors but small enough that just about any group can participate, and there are good deals to be had. With a deep expertise in the region, Midloch has built strong partnerships that bring value to every deal. Key Takeaways: Find people that want to help you grow. If it's a GP that teaches you how to be an investor or an operator that can help you improve, get exposure to all parts of real estate and find a mentor. Find the right partners. Look for alignment of goals & business plans and share a vision. The most important thing to look for in a partner is operational experience; can your partners operate effectively? Don't wait until it's too late to enjoy life. When you get a bonus or a windfall, take a big chunk of the money and do something for yourself that you've always wanted to do. Join us as we discuss Alitura Skincare with Andy Hnilo. As you'll learn in the episode, Andy came to skincare by way of a nearly fatal accident that left him scarred all over. His commitment to healing landed him in the world of healing skin care products. He shares insight about some of the best ingredients for healing scars, keeping the skin hydrated and protected. He talks about the challenges with skincare products on the shelves today and why it's important to find products that help the body, not overload it with harsh chemicals and filler ingredients. Kiran shares a bit about the skin microbiome and Andy brings the conversation to a close with an important reminder that our skin is our largest organ and therefore worth investing in. Episode Takeaways: Alitura sources completely natural, from the earth ingredients like: Pollen Honey beeswax Botanicals Cacao butter Aloe Copper peptide etc. Problem with Ingredients: Today, there are thousands of poorly made products on the market that are fast and cheap to make. WIth a little bit of clever marketing, some of the most well-known products find their way into our homes and they just aren't serving us. Ingredients like glycerin, alcohol, chemicals that are hard to pronounce, and preservatives are junking up our pores and our livers. The skin absorbs what we put on it and has to find a way to filter those ingredients What we put on our bodies is just as important as what we put in our bodies The skin is the largest organ What you put on the skin gets absorbed Fragrance - “Natural fragrance” is a marketing term that doesn't mean anything Nail polish Makeup Hair products Lotion Dyes The skin is one of the most shared microbiomes 95% of dust is human skin cells When you put all these chemicals on your skin - they dramatically impact the microbes on your skin. That leaves room for the growth of opportunistic bacteria Andy's skincare routine: Cold morning shower Cleanse Steam up the face Derma Roller the gold serum Derma Roller - sinks past the epidermis Dermaroll 1-3 times per week - increases blood flow Apply a mask Wash face before bed and use night cream Connect with Andy: Website: https://alitura.com/ Instagram: @alituranaturals @andyhnilo Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AlituraNaturals Twitter: @andyhnilo @alituranaturals Connect with Kiran Krishnan and Dr. Nicole Beurkens on... Andy Sydow and I have known each other for a few years and have been musical buds in the Colorado scene. In 2019, I opened up a show, where he was direct support, where I also played bass in the headlining band. Since this feat of opening the show with my own music, and being ready to go on for my other set required a wardrobe change and a few beers in the green room downstairs, I wasn't able to catch all of his set that evening. However the parts that I did catch were killer. I have seen him play various other times and he has sit in with the blues/soul band I used to play with regularly. Anyways, Andy is a great guys and an amazing musician. Go check out his music and his podcast when you can!Our conversation consisted of questions about baseball, playing Buddy Guy's Guitar at an E-Town filming in Boulder at 10 years old, Andy discussing some songwriting tips and lessons that his musical hero Anders Osborne instilled in him, and a lot of music history "what-ifs" and "image whens". Had a great time with this one and I hope you enjoy our conversation! As always, memento mori.Peace, Nick Where to find Andy: Website - https://www.andysydow.com/Check Out Andy's Podcast (Middle Class Rock Star) Listen to Andy's Music Andy's Social Media: Instagram FacebookTwitterMANAGEMENT/PUBLICITY: Ellie Tomasso - ellietomasso@gmail.com BOOKING: Andy Sydow - andysydowmusic@gmail.comRADIO: Jeff Cook - jeff@coherentmusic.comSupport the show

Andy Edstrom CF!, CFP, is a financial advisor at the registered investment advisory firm, WESCAP group. Prior to this, Andy has held positions at Ewing Management Group, Tennenbaum Capital Partners and Goldman Sachs. Some time ago he came across bitcoin and believed the upside it represented necessitated brining it to his clients to consider as a valuable addition to their portfolios. However, making the investment case for bitcoin to people who have yet to ‘go down the rabbit hole’ was a difficult task. Feeling that bitcoin was an investment that many of his clients absolutely must at least consider, but finding it difficult to explain in one sitting, Andy decided to write a book. That book is ‘Why Buy Bitcoin: Investing Today in the Money of Tomorrow’. I invited Andy to come on the show and discuss. Dear Listeners, Real Talk. Show notes are the bane of my existence. They are literally the worst part of having a podcast. They murder my soul. If these were not reasons enough to put an end to this madness, the sheer number of arguments that show note deadlines have created in my marriage should be. I have a theory that show notes are an unnecessary source of information that can easily be replaced with some good old fashion facebook stalking.
