Host John Lund updates what's been going on in Louisville's non-football sports, including an upset of the Number 1 team in the country on the pitch and still no goals allowed, a battle between two Top Ten teams on the court and the men's basketball conference schedule release for all you hoop heads. Louisville's men's soccer team, now ranked No. 6 in the country, remains unbeaten on the season and still hasn't allowed a goal after upsetting No. 1 Stanford last Friday and blanking Ohio State 1-0 on Tuesday for their fifth win. Women's soccer is now 7-1 after closing out its six-game homestand unbeaten with another shoutout, taking down Dayton 2-0 on Sunday night. In women's volleyball, Louisville was on the national stage on Wednesday night on ESPN in a clash of Top Ten teams as the No. 4 Cardinals played the No. 2 ranked Texas Longhorns at the Shriners Children's Showdown in Fort Worth, Texas. What a clash it was, lasting all five sets with Texas making a comeback in the final set to win by two and take the match, 3-2, handing the Cards their first loss of the season. In field hockey at Indiana on Sunday, Louisville used goals from five different players to pick up a 5-4 win, improving to 3-1 on the season. Men's tennis will host the Louisville Invitational for the second year in a row starting this Friday and running through Sunday, September 14. And, the men's basketball conference schedule was announced, check it out on somewhere on the ol' internet. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Dooms Day For Donna Adelson - The Full Closing Arguments Part 2 We cover the entire closing-arguments sequence in the Donna Adelson trial over the murder of Dan Markel — from the State's two-hour close, through the defense's marathon response, to Georgia Cappleman's rebuttal — plus our panel's live breakdowns. What's inside Prosecution Closing (Georgia Cappleman): Humanizes Dan; shows Donna's control of Wendy's divorce and relocation strategy; planner with Dan's car/plate; “TV repair” code as alibi and language; bump sting wires (“involves both of us”); 44 checks; powdered-donut analogy (“covered in sugar”). Defense Closing (Jackie Fulford): Relocation “over a year earlier,” grievance framing, poster boards/overhead slides, “Top Ten insults” list, finger-pointing at Charlie/Wendy/Rob; downplays circumstantial evidence then leans on it. State Rebuttal: Reframes circumstantial proof as common sense; knocks down extortion tale; “bring cash”/code; Vietnam visa/one-way ticket choices; email claiming child wasn't sad about dad's death. Panel Reactions: Strategy hits/misses, narcissistic control themes, who's next (Wendy/Harvey?), verdict timing and deliberation predictions. Taking four plus years to gather his father's journals, letters, doing the research, Steve created the “rest of the story” and brought his father's WWII MIA for seven months to life in Shot Down—The True Story of Pilot Howard Snyder and the Crew of the B-17 Susan Ruth. I had the pleasure of working with Steve 15 years ago that create a book that sold mega thousands of copies, printings, gathering over 2,000 reviews on Amazon, winning over 20 book awards, and this year, signed a movie option with the Sam Houston Southwest Investment Fund. You will take away: -What research was involved—from letters, to interviews, to travel to get the “rest of the story.” -How one USA MIA became a beloved hero in Belgium. -How to pull the reader into an emotional commitment to the storyline. -How to niche market a book. -How to turn a dream and passion into a sought-after speaking career. -How to keep a story and book alive. In this episode of "Normal World," Dave Landau and Angela open by mentioning that 1/4 Black Garrett is away and wish him well. The show kicks off with riffs on the news cycle, from Snoop Dogg facing backlash over a family film and President Trump's proposal to admit Chinese students to SpaceX delaying its Starship launch. The hosts also spotlight a bizarre viral post attributed to “Pope Black.” The panel then pivots to Cracker Barrel's rebrand controversy, lampooning corporate attempts to modernize while discarding tradition. The discussion shifts to Trump's executive order on flag-burning, with debate over free speech, Supreme Court precedent, and shifting political stances from figures like Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden. A “Half-A**ed Top Ten” follows, mocking other supposed un-American activities, from shopping at Trader Joe's to ordering lettuce-wrapped burgers. The episode closes with the End of the World segment, where the team reacts to NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani's failed attempt to bench-press 135 pounds, questioning how one recovers his “man card” after a viral moment like that. Today's guests on "Normal World" are Austin Robertson, Jeremy Ryan Slate, and Rob Eno. Sponsors Craftco- Flying Ace Some bourbons chase trends. Flying Ace chases legacy.
