Send us a textCan the pursuit of balance be an illusion? As your coach and cheerleader, I challenge the conventional wisdom that balance in life is a destination we can reach. Drawing from my years as a dancer, I share that balance is not about stillness but continuous micro-adjustments. Like a unicyclist or a dancer on pointe, life demands constant movement. Together, we'll explore why this ideal of balance might be a myth and what we should focus on instead. We'll also discuss the societal pressures that keep us in perpetual motion, particularly affecting women, and why embracing periods of rest and renewal is crucial.Let's rethink what it means to live a balanced life and accept that pausing and recharging is okay. With countless responsibilities pulling us in different directions, striving for a flawless version of life often leaves us exhausted. It's time to release the notion of balance as an achievable goal and redefine it as an ongoing, evolving process that includes rest, laughter, and rediscovery of what brings us joy. A lot of us want to have a successful and meaningful business. After many years in our business, we all want to ensure that the business we have worked hard to establish will carry on well if we retire. Succession planning is the key to ensuring a seamless transition and long-term success. But how? In this episode, I sit down with Lowell Mora, President of Impact CFO, who specializes in family- and privately-owned businesses. Lowell talks about the importance of planning for business transitions, especially as founders or business owners approach retirement, including finding suitable successors and maintaining business continuity. Tune in to learn more! --- Listen to the podcast here: Align Your Life and Thrive with Diamond Drip Welcome to Action's Antidotes, your antidote to the mindset that keeps you settling for less. Today, I want to talk to you a little bit about succession planning. We've talked quite a bit about the process of starting up a business on this particular podcast, about what challenge you face on the come up, but then, what happens when you're getting ready to retire and you want to make sure that the business is going to be in good hands and you want to make sure that your own wealth is going to be in good hands. To discuss this topic, I would like to introduce you to my guest today, Lowell Mora, fractional CFO, who specializes in working with a lot of these family-owned businesses around such issues. --- Lowell, welcome to the program. Thanks for having me. Appreciate you having me here today. Tell me a little bit about Impact CFO. Tell me a little about your story, what you do with your clients. At Impact CFO, I help primarily as a fractional CFO, which fractional means exactly as it sounds, I spend a portion of my time helping a business that may not be able to afford – it typically can't afford a full time CFO. So my practice focuses primarily in on the family-owned business in the small to midmarket that is looking towards a transition, either to another family member or to an external exit to maximize the wealth of the family and the value of the business. Now, when you say businesses that can't quite afford, say, a full-time CFO, what's a general size? What number of employees is that typical – So the typical, most of us finance guys talk in dollars, but in employees, it's typically employee levels of 25 to 100, 150. Again, it depends on the complexity of the business as well. So, in dollars, we typically talk somewhere around $5 million in sales, up to $50 million. Now, I've worked with smaller and I've worked with bigger but that's the sweet spot. And so you've encountered a lot of these family-owned businesses that have gotten to this level. You said like $5, $25 million annually. I assume it means, right? So, what do you notice in some of these family-owned businesses that get to that level? Do you notice any kind of common thread in the type of people that you work with and the type of founders who are in the situation about who they are, what they've done to get to where they're at? Yeah. Typically, in my practice, a lot of people out there is values based. So I look to work with people that share the same values as me, which are pretty basic, which is a high level of integrity, strong, hard work ethic.Share on X A lot of what I do is in the manufacturing, industrials, industrial products, industrial equipment. I also work with services, business services, and IT providers and things like that but, typically, it's a business of an entrepreneur and they're overwhelmingly, today in our world, they're overwhelmingly male, and they've gotten to a point where they have a successful business and can support them but they don't necessarily have a natural heir or successor. In a lot of cases, they don't know what to do with that. And what typically happens, and it's common,

A lot of us are in a situation where we're trying to create something new in our lives, whether it be starting a business, starting any kind of endeavor, just do something different, and sometimes we end up struggling a little bit and one of the struggles that we oftentimes end up with is that our lives are not really in alignment. That's some of the challenges that we have where situations that I see a lot of people and, say, you have a full time job and you're also trying to start a business that can be really exhausting, it can be really hard to find time, in the same way I oftentimes find people starting businesses while not having a full-time job, not having a steady source of income, and having to struggle in a whole different way. And in some of those pursuits is where my guest today, Diamond Drip, a coach, speaker, and human design enthusiast who helps her clients overcome some of these challenges and find a life that's in alignment for them because not every person is the same and one of the things we're trying to move past is what I often refer to as the one-size-fits-all solution for life, the one-size-fits-all prescription for life. --- Diamond Drip, welcome to the program. Hey, Stephen. It's so great to be here with you and our listeners today. Yeah, thank you for coming on and sharing some of these ideas with listeners because I think when it comes to starting up anything, and it doesn't have to be a business, it could even be just trying to do better at your current job, when it comes to trying up anything, people often talk about the practical stuff, like you need to do more of this, you need to learn this skill, you need to learn this industry. People might talk less frequently about some of the stuff that you specialize in, which is how to bring your life, your habits, and everything else into alignment with who you are, which starts with an understanding of who you are. So, tell us a little bit about what you do with your clients. Absolutely. I love that you brought in that piece too about people wanting to build up their skills, people wanting to learn these other things, and one of the things that I work with my clients on is making sure that the things that they're adding to that list of to-dos, those skills to add, those classes to take are actually things that light them up, not just because someone said they should do it. And so I have a really simple framework when it comes to how I support my clients. It's called the trust framework. And so the very first thing that we do is we tune in to their authentic self. So, every single one of us has a unique, energetic blueprint, you and I were talking about this a little bit the last time we met, and it is in that blueprint that we can recognize our in...
The era of shrinking or distorting ourselves into a certain existing career field or lifestyle is over. As our collective consciousness continues to elevate and evolve, many of us are no longer resonating with the limited lifestyle in the matrix. Liv is back and joined by an amazing guest - Christy, a 5/1 mani gen leo who leads the brand Aligned Ascension. Christy is a business strategy, human design, and energetics coach. She helps women step into more wealth, more awakening, and businesses they love.We dive into:
We often find ourselves drifting away from God, sometimes due to sudden crises, but more often through our own choices as we chase success, comfort, or pleasure. So how do we get back on track? In this video, we explore a powerful story from the book of Ezra about returning to God and rebuilding what was lost. Discover timeless truths that can guide you back to the right path, and see how God's love and purpose remain constant even when we stray. Learn practical ways to partner with God in rebuilding not just your circumstances, but your relationship with Him and the life He's calling you to live.
In this episode, we're diving into how to create the perfect aligned life. When life feels off-track, the law of attraction says like attracts like. If you're attracting unfulfilling experiences, it means you're out of alignment. Alignment isn't about being right or wrong; it's about matching with what you're meant to become. Life is about becoming a specific pattern or frequency. When we lose track of that, we feel empty. Following societal norms without deeper fulfillment can leave us feeling lost. Challenges and setbacks in life are not hurting us but creating opportunities to change and realign. It's never about the event itself but our perspective on it, shaped by our mindset's frequency. Changing our internal elements changes the path ahead. For example, a new job may feel challenging initially, but with experience, it becomes easier. Similarly, changing our perspective changes our experience of life. Various factors keep us at certain frequencies, such as fear, pleasure, and pain. To realign, we must first ensure we're right within ourselves. If you feel lost or unfulfilled, it's a sign you're out of alignment. Understanding the pattern of things in front of us helps identify our current frequency. We can then either align more with the thing or remove ourselves from it if it doesn't match our desired alignment. People often get trapped in patterns due to past experiences. For instance, if you've experienced emptiness and then find something valuable, like gold, you may align with it out of gratitude, even if it's not perfect. Reflect on whether what you have is truly what you desire. If not, even if it brings temporary satisfaction, it's not your ultimate alignment. Alignment with self is more important than external validation. Consider different life experiences and ask yourself if they're truly what you want. There's no single correct way to live; it's about finding what aligns with you. Start with one area of your life, whether it's your job, relationships, or finances. Create a detailed vision of the perfect version of that aspect for you, without compromise. Compare your vision with your current situation. If they don't match, the gold you hold might be keeping you from your true alignment. Alignment with self is always better than temporary gains. Realign your life by focusing on what truly matters to you. This might mean letting go of things, even if they seem valuable, to achieve your ultimate alignment. Embrace the guidance that pain and resistance offer, as they point towards areas needing realignment. Everything in life is about perception. Your view dictates your experience, not the events themselves. Reimagine your higher self and let go of what doesn't align with it, even if it seems valuable. True fulfillment comes from alignment with self. - Henry ---- Social Media Say hi on TikTok Say Hi on Instagram ---- Email Me henry@vibeabundant.com ---- Email List --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/positive-mindset-podcast/support
