Send me a text! I'd love to know your thiughts and questions.Healthy leadership is about paying attention to what God is up to in the people we're leading. Our job, then, is not to force people to be something they're not so they can support our own initiatives. Our job is to take note of how our people are wired and then help them live that out for the sake of God's mission. This is true, by the way, not only for the people we lead; it's true for the leader, too. In this episode, Tod Bolsinger and Markus Watson unpack a powerful quote from Steve Carter, "You only learn resilience through the fire and through the suffering." This quote emerged from Steve Carter's experience of letting go of everything he had known and worked towards when he offered his resignation from a church leadership position in the wake of abuse allegations against the senior pastor, Bill Hybels. Ina Coveney is a business coach specializing in monetizing tiny audiences. She helps small businesses and coaches get clients before they spend all of their time and money trying to grow an audience. This is Ina Coveney's story... Ina Coveney is a business coach who specializes in monetizing tiny audiences. She helps small businesses and coaches get clients before they spend all of their time and money trying to grow an audience. Ina created her first six figure year with under 1000 followers. She taught coaches and business owners how to do the same thing via social media. Resources: Join the Growth Now Community: www.growthnow.community In this episode, you will learn the following: 1. How Ina Coveney created her first six figure year with under 1000 followers 2. How live events can help you meet incredible people and make powerful connections 3. How to engage with people personally to build relationships and grow your business Chapter Summaries: [00:00:01] - Intro [00:00:29] - This week's episode features Ina Coveney, a business coach specializing in monetizing small audiences. Nina created her first six figure year with under 1000 followers. [00:06:28] - In 2019, Justin hosted his first live event. He fell in love with live events back in 2017. [00:07:23] - Ina organized her first official event for Podcast Movement. She met Pablo Gonzalez at the first Podcast Movement and they became fast friends. Justin wants to be an intern at Ina's event in 2023. Ina wants to learn as much as she can about live event organizing. [00:11:01] - Before, she had a podcast called Trailblazing Out of Corporate Life. She was helping people get out of corporate by starting their own businesses. She quit her job in 2018 and started Be Found, a program that helped her get to six figures in her business within the first two years. Kevin Schmidtland is going to do a podcast accelerator. Get Clients First is a new name for the global phenomenon podcast. It's about getting clients first and not growing your audience. It's a good idea to get clients first because it validates your idea and helps you grow the audience. [00:20:10] - In the podcast space. 80% of shows are doing less than 100 downloads an episode. If you are a public speaker and you had a room full of 100 people every single week, would you show up? The answer would be yes. Business keeps the doors open and you have to have people pay you money. [00:20:56] - People without followers. Wanting to become entrepreneurs is not a niche market. There are people with millions of followers on social media and they make no money. They are not talking to their audience correctly and their audience is not engaged with them. They do not talk to the audience correctly. [00:21:20] - Before the Internet, people didn't have to have 1000 followers to have a thriving business. Now with the online world, this is the only thing we know. And what we see is people who are successful and those who are getting hammered into our feeds. When you don't have a big audience, your network is your audience. And you need to create a list of ten people that you feel like you can help. [00:25:27] - How do you monetize if you don't have a big audience? How do you find out the stories of your followers and find out why they follow you? What do they really want? When you're starting, most of the time it's people who already know, like and trust you. [00:29:02] - After quitting her job be found after be found decided to create an online course to teach moms how to create WordPress sites. She has been selling get clients first for a couple of years and she's in a great spot. She's afraid she's going to lose the relatability factor of her business. The strategies that I ask small entrepreneurs to do are not the same strategies that a large audience entrepreneur would follow. It's possible that I'm subconsciously self sabotaging to stay small because I'm afraid that a big audience is going to mean all these things and I'm not going to be able to handle it. [00:34:47] - In stage one, you need to meet your ideal client and get them to pay something for the offer that is perfect for them. In stage three, you have to meet and get somebody who's your ideal clients and they have to be willing to spend money on the offer. [00:37:33] - There are many business coaches who talk to people at different stages of their career and they don't always know who their ideal client is. Business coaches are not talking to people who have never sold anything in their life and they encourage them to raise their prices. People who are starting out need to charge their fair price. [00:38:58] - In stage two, a project manager develops and tests a reliable sales engine. Stage three is the audience growth stage, which is the scary one for him. His audience has grown on TikTok. He's going to start experimenting with ads for the first time in four years. They will go talk about other topics. [00:43:29] - The definition of success is every day that she didn't give up on herself. She has a daily date with her husband and she relaxes into failure. She is a big extrovert and she needs people to stand in silence to talk to her. She confesses in stories on Instagram. I'm an introvert. I live with my fiancee and her two children, and I recharge alone. I don't show up as often on Instagram stories and Reels because my recharge is totally alone. But I love that about you because you can be so out there and so outgoing. [00:48:44] - The Global Phenomenon is a podcast about the online coaching industry. Mr. Shank was interviewed on Episode 123. He supports everything that you're doing. Get Clients First is a great first step. Getclientsfirstcom is a good place to start. [00:49:47] - Mike has been on the Growth Now movement and thanks Justin and the listeners for their support. Mike is coming back on the show next weekend to talk about the lessons he has learned from being a parent. Justin and Mike ask the same questions at the end of every interview. Be Found by Him without Spot, Blemish, and at Peace
If you have every had the joy of playing "Hide and Seek" with a child, there is a point to the game: it is not TO BE HIDDEN, but rather TO BE FOUND. The joy is to be found. The joy is to find. Similarly, with God, we "draw near to God, and He will draw near to us." Or, "go find God and He'll go find us." Or, to our Hide and Seek picture, "Go find Him and He'll go find us."God wants us to find Him. He wants us to engage in the delight of drawing near to find Him. He wants us to be found by Him too. God wants to draw near. May He find us humble and willing. God is in the "be found" business. We are in the business of the joy of finding Him. It is not Hide and Seek, but BE FOUND! bewithme.us or bewithme.us@gmail.com please subscribe and mostly just listen and consider these 7 minutes.

Bruce Sudano returns on October 1st, 2021 with a fresh offering of dispatches from the heart on his latest EP of new original songs, Ode to a Nightingale, to be released on his own Purple Heart Recording Co. The new record succeeds a pair of equally immediate, thoughtful, and urgent mini-albums issued in 2020. Released last April, Spirals Vol. 1: Not a Straight Line to Be Found was praised by Americana Highways for its “five moving songs about life, love and death that captivate and hold the listener's attention.” Sudano's October 2020 release Spirals Vol. 2: Time and the Space In Between garnered a four-star review from American Songwriter, with freelance writer/author Lee Zimmerman noting, “Sudano's found himself on a steady roll.” Noted for his songwriting for Dolly Parton, Michael Jackson, and Donna Summer and his own hits with the band Brooklyn Dreams, Sudano has established a burgeoning reputation in his own right. Fittingly, his latest release began with solo sessions at his home studio in Milan, Italy. “I live half my life there,” says Sudano, who also maintains a home in Los Angeles. “I basically walked in my studio, did all the vocals and acoustic guitar, and then e-mailed it all over to my producer Randy Ray Mitchell in L.A., and he put guitars and bass on. Depending on the song, we employed who we thought would be the appropriate drummer.” He says that for the new record, “I delved more and more into my harmony thing – I came out of a tradition of harmonies in Brooklyn Dreams, and growing up in Brooklyn at the end of the doo-wop era. The ability to do harmonies, to create harmonies, is a gift that I've kind of ignored in this evolution of myself as a solo singer-songwriter.” The song “Ode to a Nightingale” – derived not from John Keats' 1819 romantic poem, but from imagery in the work of Italian poet and filmmaker Pier Paolo Pasolini – was written in the aftermath of the 2020 election, and draws on the same political charge that powered “The Mountain” on Spirals Vol. 1 and “American Sunset” and “For the Sake of Humanity” on Spirals Vol. 2. He says, “I see the nightingale as a voice in the darkness, hopefully singing beautiful melodies that are leading us out of the darkness and into the dawn and the light of a new day.” Likewise, in the set-closing “All Hands” he cautions against complacency: “We can't let our guard down. We have to be vigilant, because we're certainly treading a very fine line in our country.” The dream-like song “In Shadowland” – which is being launched by a vision-infused video directed by Furio Ganz, with striking visual effects by Claudio Bellini – shouldn't be pinned down by any definitive interpretation, the writer says. “I decided that I'm not going to describe that song, because it's an illusion – it's an illusion lyrically, it's an illusion sonically, and it's an illusion visually when you see the video. Everybody who has heard the song or seen the video so far has had their own interpretations of what is being said. If you're sensitive enough to listen to your inner spirit, your inner voice, it's this whole world of shadows.” While there is no shortage of serious and introspective material on Ode to a Nightingale, Sudano adds, “I didn't want this record to be as heavy and dark as some of the things I'd been writing in the past. I've transitioned through a lot of loss, and I wrote a lot about that. I wanted this record to be a little light, and I wanted to revisit the vocal side of things. I wanted it to have more of a pop element to it.” The bouncing, blissful “Do Be Do (Daytrippin')” was inspired by the time he spent with his wife Francesca, whom he married in February 2020, in the months after the pandemic hit.

Unfortunately, many "entertainers" and society as a whole have convinced women that it's ok to classify themselves as being "happily single"…when in fact, the Bible instructs women to do the exact opposite by actively working to be the best woman possible so they can ultimately be found by the man that God has for them. Tune into "The Dedan Tolbert Show" tonight at 9:00pm EST, as we discuss "How to Prepare Yourself While Waiting to Be Found by Your King". The Superheroes of Marketing Podcast | Content Marketing | Lead Generation | Social Media Marketing
Pinterest has changed a lot recently - the largest change has been to Smartfeed. It dramatically impacts marketers and users, alike. We're so thrilled to speak with Vincent Ng of MCNG Marketing - he's great at keeping up with the latest Pinterest news, especially where it comes to keeping up on search changes which is why we are so happy to have him! What is SmartFeed? How Has Pinterest Changed? Pinterest's Smartfeed is somewhat like the Facebook news feed. Pinterest watches what you pin, repin, and like and shows you more of that type of content. And yes, that has meant on occasion that pinning a funny pin means all you'll see are goofy memes for a while. The hiccups appear to be clearing, however! This also means that you no longer see all pins from all the people you follow in chronological order, and of course that people may not see your pins immediately. This also means that the more activity on your pins (repins and likes), the more likely it is to continue to show up for more and more people. Sounds just like Facebook, doesn't it? Vincent has noticed a lot of fresh content appearing at the top of the Pinterest smart feed, while I've noticed a lot of older content again and again, especially with infographics! If your content is getting pinned a lot, consider creating multiple images to freshen things up. Right click here to download the mp3 file to your desktop What Does a Perfectly Searchable Pin Look Like? Create a gorgeous photo that people want to reshare. Use a vertical photo. Use keywords! Don't just put in “shoes” – give more detail. People search for “blue wedding shoes,” not shoes! Encourage click-throughs with your quality design and your descriptions. Wait, pins are being found on Google? Yup! Accounts, boards, and pins are showing up in search engine results. Concentrate on good long-tail keywords and use those in your descriptions. The Men Are Arriving on Pinterest! There are more male Pinterest users than subscribers of GQ and Sports Illustrated combined. To think that men aren't using it is “Absurd!” Agreed, Vincent. Pinterest is really working hard to get men to Pinterest, so it watches your pin activity and tries to adapt your search results based on whether it thinks you are male or female. You can also select gender when you sign up, which will certainly impact your results. How Are Men Using Pinterest? Think of how they shop. They're not usually out to bargain-hunt or to browse, but they go when they have a purpose rather than casual scanning. Think of it as a nicer way to keep bookmarks of items or information for future reference. Is it More Difficult to Succeed on Pinterest Now Than a Few Years Ago? Sure. People who have been on Pinterest a while, have more repins and likes, so their content tends to rise to the top with smart feed. Even if you're just starting out, though – it's such a great traffic driver. How Much Time Will I Have to Spend on Pinterest Marketing? Vincent recommends starting slow, maybe pinning once week or so. I counter that if you want it to work and get the encouragement to continue. Use a scheduler, and don't worry about having to deal with lots of comments. Just pin great stuff. What Happened to Affiliate Links? Power bloggers who were making big money have seen their income dry up as Pinterest is removing affiliate links. While this may not impact the average user, it does provide a good reminder that none of us should be building our house on someone else's land. What About the Pinterest Buy It Button? Pinterest is already a big driver of sales. It's looking to become a serious ecommerce player. So, if you sell items online, stay tuned!!!
