In this episode Heather shares one of her favorite quotes, “If you listen to your body whisper, you won't need to hear it scream,” and shares her experience of ignoring that whisper. Heather is a mother, BHIS counselor, and student pursuing her masters degree in marriage and family therapy with an emphasis on child and adolescent therapy. As a “retired” teacher, she enjoys working with children, especially in early childhood, and plans to use her years of experience as a teacher, as well as her passion for mental health, to support her plans in becoming a licensed play therapist.
