For the 37th year, prize money awards will be provided by principal sponsor John Hancock. The full international field, including the Para Athletics Divisions field top contenders, can be found below. Who Wore What? These Were the Top Shoes at the 2022 Boston Marathon Ever since the first carbon-plated super shoes hit the roads, they've dominated the pro running conversation. With any speedy performance, we want to know: What latest shoe technology were they wearing? That was certainly the case for Monday's thrilling Boston Marathon where Peres Jepchirchir and Ababel Yeshaneh fought until the very last mile for their glory moment. In the end, it was Jepchirchir who out-kicked Yeshaneh 2:21.01 to 2:21.05. In the context of super shoes, though, it may as well have been a head-to-head battle between Adidas and Nike, two Goliaths in the space. And though Nike had more racers finish in the top 15 wearing its shoes, the eventual 2022 Boston Marathon champion was wearing a pair of Adidas Adizero Adios Pro 2's. Curious what the other ultra-fast women were racing in on Marathon Monday? We tracked down the 6 shoes that were worn by the top 15 women. The FTK studio welcomes British Marathon star Charlotte Purdue to Episode Three. Charlotte holds the third fastest Women's Marathon time in the UK, achieving this feat in the London Marathon following a controversial absence from the UK Olympic team. Charlotte conveniently “forgot” her submission to our infamous social media segment, but was quickly forgiven by providing a very in-depth insight into her career as an athlete so far, delving into the highs, the lows and everything in between. On the training front, Brett returns to complete five laps of the Caulfield Race Course for the first time in two years, and we hear about Joel's 15-second PB for a third place in the Adelaide Invitational 5,000m. In a week that's seen parts of Europe heading back into lockdown, Matt has also had Josh locked down on an enforced rest week. Matt's been feeling the dreaded winter fatigue and is struggling a bit for motivation, but still manages to knock out a swift little session on the weekend. Aaron's been running more this week than he has for a long time, although his Sunday is hampered somewhat by childcare issues. While Josh is adamant that he feels worse off an 80 mile week than he does a 120 mile week, be sure to stay tuned for scientific insights into his training... We'll do the usual and talk through our weeks and see whether Josh has obeyed the draconian measures. We'll also thank some patrons, answer some listener questions, discuss what's been happening in the world of running in the past 7 days, and then we've got an interview with the 3rd fastest British female marathon runner of all time, Charlotte Purdue. Have an average week, Aaron, Matt and Josh xoxo

Check out this episode with @charlottepurdue !!! Charlotte is a British Long distance runner, a coach, the 4th fastest British female marathoner of all time, and a OUT RIGHT BEAST on the roads!! . We talked about Charlotte's early successes, @purdue_performance , lessons learned, the Olympic Team dilemma, tips on pushing through the rough times during a race, and what she's is planning in the future. . In races, Charlotte is tough as nails and shows a ton of grit, but she always seems to do it with a smile on her face. With the recent news of being snubbed by the selection committee for the Olympic Team to represent Britain...it was so nice to talk to her and see that she is “on to the next one” and showing the smile and grit we have all become accustomed to seeing when she is on camera!! . This week on TRACK! we are joined by UK middle-distance running royalty, Christina Boxer. Christina was a consistently selected GB athlete between 1978 and 1992 over the 800 and 1500m distances. She is a 3 time Olympian, Gold medalist at the Commonwealth Games and has the distinction of being the first British female to run under 2 minutes in the 800m. Christina followed her time competing as a respected athletics journalist with ITV and BBC as well as embarking on a coaching career that has seen her work with Jo Pavey and Charlotte Moore. We are lucky to have Christina as a coach at Worcester AC which has allowed us to get to know her and convince her to give up her time for a chat. In the pre-show we discuss the return of racing to the UK with some brilliant performances. We cover the latest from Beth Potter's performance at Podium 5km and the Olympic Marathon selection story including Charlotte Purdue's appeal against her non-selection. Thanks for listening, we hope you enjoy.
