Julian chases vert and gets out running with the pram. Brady goes through his paces before a hit out at the Lakeside 10.   Georgia Griffith set a new 3000m National Record of 8:24.20 in her second ever race in the distance, taking the win at the Bislett Games Oslo Diamond League over Likina Amebaw of Ethiopia. Jess Hull placed third in 8:25.82, Rose Davies ran a personal best of 8:35.57, while Lauren Ryan ran 8:42.63. Catriona Bisset closed strongly to claim third place in the 800m with 1:59.29. Oli Hoare solidified his form in the 1500m with a 3:31.08 while Stewy McSweyn 3:38.22 after taking a midrace stumble. Jakob Ingebrigsten took out the race in front of the home crowd in a World Leading 3:29.74, diving across the line in a close finish against the returning Timothy Cheruiyot. Hagos Gebrhiwet broke the Ethiopian National Record in the 5000m in 12:36.73 for the second fastest of all time, ahead of countryman Yomif Kejelcha and with a total of 6 new national records set in that race. Oslo Diamond League Results   Georgia Griffith kept the momentum going with a 3:59.17 to place third in the Stockholm Diamond League 1500m with Laura Muir taking the win in 3:57.99. Linden Hall ran 4:01.01 and Sarah Billings ran 4:10.21. Stewy McSweyn picked up a 7:36.78 in the 3000m, won by Narve Nordas of Norway in 7:33.49. Athletics Australia Report Adelaide Marathon won by Fraser Darcy 2:24:00 and Tara Palm 2:48:10 while the Half Marathon won by Jacob Cocks in 1:05 and Eloise Wellings in 1:13:13 Adelaide Marathon Results   Matt Smith won the 12km Perth City to Surf in 36:49, as did Sinead Noonan in 41:55 Results   In the 800m heats of the Budapest World Athletics Champs Peter Bol ran 1:46.75, Joseph Deng advanced to Semi Final. Marco Arop of Canada was the gold medallist in the event. In the Women's 800m Semi Finals, ran Abbey Caldwell 1:59.05 to advance, Catriona Bisset 1:59.94 Ellie Sandford 2:03.55 in the heats. Mary Moora of Kenya took the title ahead of Great Britain's Keeley Hodgkinson and the USA's Athing Mu. 1500m Final Jessica Hull 7th in 3:59.54 in the 1500m Final, with Faith Kipyegon winning 3:54.87. Jessica Hull tried to back up from the 1500m final to run 15:15.89 in the 5000m heats, while in the other heat Rose Davies ran a season best of 15:07.93, and Lauren Ryan ran 15:40.23. In the Women's Steeplechase heats Brielle Erbacher posted 9:57.11 in her heat, while Cara Feain-Ryan ran a PB of 9:29.60 and Amy Cashin ran 9:31.07. Winfred Yavi of Bahrain won the gold medal in the final, as did Soufaine El Bakkali of Morocco in the Men's race. Jakob Ingebrigsten broke the 2 mile World Record in 7:54.10 at the Paris Diamond League, beating Daniel Komen's long standing mark, while Stewy McSweyn dropped off the pace. Faith Kipyegon set the new 5000m World Record of 14:05.20, less than a week after running the 1500m WR in Florence, while Lemecha Girma of Ethiopia made it a treble of new World Records, running the 3000m Steeplechase in the best time of 7:52.11. Catriona Bisset 1:58.55 in a race that saw Keely Hodgkinson break the British Record in 1:55.77. Paris Diamond League Results   Leanne Pompeani won the Launceston Running Festival 10k in 31:37, breaking the 24 year old all-comers record, as Lisa Weightman came second in 32:10 and Olga Firsova third in 32:43. Brett Robinson won in 28:11 outkicking Ed Marks 28:13 and James Hansen 28:20, with all three finishing under the previous course record. Ed Goddard won the Half Marathon in 63:10, ahead of Andy Buchanan in 63:15 and Tim Vincent in 63:17. Ellie Pashley took the win in 71:52, followed by Tara Palm in 73:16 and then Milly Clark with 75:47. Launceston Running Festival Results   Ky Robinson won the NCAA 10,000m in 28:10.96 at the Track and Field Championships in Austin, Texas alongside Stanford teammate Charles Hicks. Ky then backed it up the following day winning the NCAA Championship 5000m in 14:04.77 with fellow Aussie Jackson Sharpe for Wisconsin coming third. Izzy Thornton-Bott placed second in the 1500m representing University of Oregon behind Kiwi winner Maia Ramsden for Harvard, while on the men's side Adam Spencer for Wisconsin placed third. Matt Clarke came close to his personal best in the Steeplechase running 8:26.47 for fourth, while Jack Bruce and Jude Thomas both ran in the 3000m World Athletics Results   Great Ocean Road Running Festival kicked off with the 14km Paradise Run won by Andre Waring and Sarah Klein in dominant performances, then Andre defended his double victories from last year winning the 23km Half Marathon as well, ahead of Cameron Smith and Simon Hogan, while Amy Fawcett took the podium in front of Elise Beacom and Ciara Sullivan. Set against a constant headwind, the Great Ocean Road Marathon was won by Toby Menday ahead of Bayden Westerweller, Tom Hall in third, with Sara Coulter taking the win over Caitlin Duncan and Danni Rogan. Dion Finocchiarro and Alice Hall were the winners of the 60km Ultramarathon. Great Ocean Road Marathon Results   Marnie Ponton won the Runaway Sydney Half in a dominant 74:30, clear of Niamh Allen & Tara Prowse in second and third. Ed Goddard won the men's race in 65:21, ahead of Ben St Lawrence & James Nipperess Results   City To Casino over 12km in Hobart, Tasmania won by James Hansen & Melanie Daniels. Results   Brothers Jacob & Riley Cocks take the South Australia 10k Road Champs, both crossing the line in 30:19, with Thomas Dowd third in 31:08.  Brook Hines won the championship title in 35:34 just ahead of Zoe Toland, with Tiana Cetta third. 277: 2023 World Cross Country Championships Bathurst Brad puts his biggest week on the comeback trail and gets super inspired by the weekend. Julian puts his finishing touches on his Osaka Marathon prep then coaches Ellie from the sidelines. Brady races a deep field in the Golden Ticket Race, then makes Saturday the new Sunday. The eve of the World Cross Country Championships held the Golden Ticket Races, with the first seven finishers of the 6km race given the opportunity to race in the World Champion Race, Sarah Klein and Andre Waring taking top honours. Andre was subsequently placed in the Australia team with Matt Ramsden withdrawing due to injury. Golden Ticket Race Results On a mostly hot Saturday afternoon over a tough 2km course set on Mount Panorama/Wahluu, Bathurst the World Cross Country Championships returned after two years of delays. The day opened with the Mixed 4x2km Relay, where the highly-fancied Australian team of Oli Hoare, Jess Hull, Stewy McSweyn and Abby Caldwell took the bronze medal Kenya and Ethiopia took Gold and Silver respectively. Mixed Relay World Athletics Report Mixed Relay World Athletics Results The U20 Women race saw a race of attrition as the hot weather and 6k course took a toll on the competitors with three Australians withdrawing from the race. Aspen Anderson was the top Australian, while the race was won by Senayet Getachew of Ethiopia. U20 Women World Athletics Report U20 Women World Athletics Results The U20 Men saw a Japanese pair lead the main pack in the first lap, with Ishmael Kipkirui of Kenya winning the 8km race. Today's guest, Sarah Klein, is a preeminent sexual abuse attorney at Manly, Stewart & Finaldi. A survivor of sexual abuse herself, Klein specializes in representing sexual abuse survivors. A former gymnast, she is the first known victim of former Olympic women's gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar.  She discusses how she overcame the trauma, while fueling her fight for justice not only for herself, but for others who have been abused. She talks about the warning signs that parents and teachers should look for, especially with younger children, and where to turn for help.   Klein is a fierce advocate for legal, cultural, and political change, actively spearheading the fight to extend the statute of limitations for abuse survivors across all 50 states. She regularly testifies in front of state legislative bodies and was among the small group of key and notable people invited to the Child Victims Act bill signing in New York.  Klein holds a J.D./M.B.A. and is an alumna of Columbia University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Global Entrepreneurship program. Sarah Klein is an attorney for the California law firm Manly, Stewart and Finaldi and a leading voice on sexual abuse and other legal issues in the media. She is also the first known victim of former Olympic Women's Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar.
