Support the show

Falamos sobre a experiência extremamente temática que esse jogo oferece, o qual jogamos com tudo o que a caixa base tinha a oferecer e ele segue forte na mesa. Episode 146: Special Guest: David Turczi! PluSearch For Planet X, Dungeons & Dragons 5e, Castell On this episode Steve, Sarah and Mitch are joined by the one and only David Tuczi. David talks about the origins of the upcoming Voidfall, how he approaches designing solo mode for other people's games, his friendships in the industry, and some of his most proudest achievements in game design so far (and if you thought Adrian can talk, wait until you hear David!) It's a fascinating interview, with insights into all kinds of games, and one you don't want to miss. In our Sizzling Games segment Sarah has been using her deductive powers in her Search For Planet X, Mitch has been assuming the role of Dungeon Master in our very own Dungeons & Dragons Adventure, and Steve has been stacking humans in Castell. In the Bracket Battle 2.0 poor David has his loyalties divided as we announce the winner of Kanban EV vs Anachrony. Then we set-up the next Bracket Battle - Eclipse: Second Dawn For The Galaxy vs Dice Throne. To make sure your favourite goes through to the next round make sure you place your vote on our socials. Finally, in Swear An Oath Steve has cleaned the decks and completed both of his oaths: Dinosaur World and the scenarios in Smartphone Inc, Mitch completed two cases of Chronicles of Crime: 2400 with Dan, and Sarah has continues on her miniature painting journey. New oaths this week are Alice is Missing (Steve), Fantastic Factories (Mitch), and Arkwright: The Card Game (Sarah). And David even jumps in on the Oath action by prominsing to play Gran Austria Hotel, Great Wall and Bitoku by the time he comes back on the show! (We are going to hold you to that, David!!) Another super fast week sees us playing a handful of new games and breaking out some old classics. We attempt to deduce why I am so successful at finding Planet X, wonder how to mind slip through the work week, realize that our prowess at a board game about cooking does not translate into the kitchen, and wonder why we should make wine when you can give tours of a barren wasteland and still achieve a commendable score. In addition, a legend is created while using sand timers to create A Feast for Odin. Off Brand is a long winded conversation about our Marvel movie fatigue, before making no argument beyond, Aerosmith, a cymbal crash, and muscle cars, for why Dazed and Confused has the greatest opening scene in cinema history, and we beg you to watch Free Solo and marvel at Alex Honnold. Also, there is a theory that Adam Driver and Alex Honnold in one room breaks international hunkiness laws. If Walker doesn't want Mark to speak to excess, he really shouldn't be teeing him up by asking about Macross. Or Robotech either, because the difference thereto is a whole discussion unto itself. Of course, Walker is an accomplished troll, willing to return to any subject once raised. Mark has repeatedly been exhorted to not feed trolls, but really, that's just blaming the victim. At this point it's mostly just mutual trolling, like an ouroboros of nonsense. Jason is quasi-back from exile with a whole new, post-baby episode. It's only Jason this time because real life and scheduling both suck. Anthony will definitely be back next week. But we're going to make the most of this week with reviews of some great games, as well as Jason sharing a bit of about himself and the trials and tribulations of having a newborn around. Jason says it in the pod, but it bears repeating - thank God for solo gaming! A perfect blend with a newborn in the home. First up is My Little Scythe (8:05), the children's version of Scythe that was originally released as a My Little Pony print and play game. Stonemaier Games picked up it and gave it some truly gorgeous production, but does it stand up as an enjoyable game for kids and for adults? Next up is 1066, Tears to Many Mothers (17:20), an asymmetric card-based historical war game that plays in 30-45 minutes. It's a Hall or Nothing game, and Tristan Hall loves his solo modes, so we got one here as well. Then we get into Dice Settlers (30:04), the latest from David Turczi that's chock full of custom dice and resource management. He has yet to make a flop, so a new one from him will always get attention from this pod. Finally, Jason shares his thoughts about gaming with a newborn. Of course, you'll be apart from your game group for a bit. But, how long should a parent wait to game again? And what can a game group do to support?
Richard is joined by the team behind Dino World, James O'Connor, Nick Shaw and David Turczi to chat all about collaborating on their very successful Kickstarter campaign. We have a chat mostly about the games inception, working across different time zones, trains, document control and what the future holds for the game going forward and somehow manage to keep things on track without Caezar overseeing everything. It was a fun time, a fun chat and if you haven't checked out Welcome to Dino World then you really should give it a look. After this, for our acquisition disorders Anthony looks at Skulk Hollow from Pencil First Games, now on Kickstarter, and Chris looks at a recent Essen Spiel game, Kingdom Defenders. This week I invite the designer of Redacted, Anachrony and the upcoming Dice Settlers, David Turczi into the cabin. We discuss the corruption of his home country, moving to a foreign land and working with Vlaada Chvatil, but which games did he choose?
This week, Jason has a chat with Viktor Peter and David Turczi about their latest project, Cerebria: The Inside World. Mindclash Games has certainly earned some momentum with Trickerion and Anachrony before it. Now they hope to keep it moving with this complex, faction vs. faction game where different aspects of a person's psyche vie for ultimate control. Viktor and David talk about the game's origin, mechanisms, levels of interaction, and solo play. As of this recording, you have less than 10 days to go in the campaign, so check it out!
