In this episode, we talk with Rachael Sommer, a dedicated mother and caregiver from Cleveland, Ohio. Rachael shares the journey of her daughter Maddie, who was diagnosed with Hepatosplenic T-cell Lymphoma in October 2023, after several months of mysterious symptoms. Treated at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Maddie's condition has profoundly impacted their lives.Rachael recounts their initial stay at the Ronald McDonald House post-diagnosis, highlighting the physical and emotional changes Maddie experienced. Maddie's extreme fatigue and breathlessness were particularly challenging, and Rachael emphasizes the importance of adjusting to a "new normal" while staying in constant communication with doctors. Rachael found solace in the Ronald McDonald House's facilities, specifically the fitness room, which helped her manage her own stress. The conversation shifts to the emotional toll on Maddie, who struggled with isolation from friends and the mental burden of not being able to participate in normal activities. Despite the support of friends and thoughtful gestures like sending cards, nothing could replace the physical presence of her peers. Rachael's creativity shone through when she set up a Google camera to allow Maddie to see her cats, Binks and Leon, while they were away.Rachael discusses the importance of recognizing and respecting individual emotional needs. Maddie's withdrawal from activities she once enjoyed, like listening to music, was particularly hard for Rachael, who feared losing her daughter's spirited personality. Eventually, Maddie slowly began to regain her sarcasm and interactions with her younger brother, Ezekiel, signaling a return to her usual self. The financial strain of Maddie's illness is another significant aspect of their journey. Rachael praises the support from various organizations, including Carrie's Cause, Fight Like A Dozer, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, which provided crucial financial aid. This support allowed Rachael to focus on Maddie's care without the added burden of financial stress.Rachael also shares her career transition to consulting, driven by the need for greater flexibility to support her family. Her faith in God has been a cornerstone throughout this journey, providing spiritual strength and community support. Finally, Rachael reflects on the importance of savoring small moments of joy amidst the challenges. She encourages other caregivers to focus on what truly matters, finding moments of normalcy and joy, and maintaining hope and strength for their loved ones.Resources:Nationwide Children's Hospital, Columbus, Ohio: https://www.nationwidechildrens.org/Fight Like a Dozer: https://www.fightlikeadozer.org/Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS): https://lls.org/NMDP (formerly Be The Match): https://bethematch.org/The Bible Recap: https://www.thebiblerecap.com/National Bone Marrow Transplant Link - (800) LINK-BMT, or (800) 546-5268.nbmtLINK Website: https://www.nbmtlink.org/nbmtLINK Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/nbmtLINKnbmtLINK YouTube Page can be found by clicking here.Thank you to our sponsors. In Saving My Assassin readers meet Virginia Prodan in Communist Romania in 1961. This powerful memoir begins with this quote, “I should be dead. Buried in an unmarked grave in Romania. Obviously, I am not. God had other plans.” Virginia was a real-life Cinderella, she was forced to do all the work while her siblings played. Her mother threatened to put her up for adoption, dyed her red hair black so she would blend in and never once in 18 years made her a birthday cake or said a kind word. The family went on a vacation to Bucharest every year while Virginia stayed home to work. After she finishes school, she goes to Bucharest to stay with her Aunt Cassandra to prepare to take a test to see if she will be accepted into law school. This was a memorial time for Virginia. Her aunt showed her kindness that she had never had as a child. During this time, she meets Radu and the two eventually marry. Virginia was grown before she was told, “I believe in you. I will help you as long as you are teachable” by Vera Poescu, a lawyer with spine problems but very strong in heart. Virginia was a seeker of truth her whole life. The first scripture to impact her was John 14:6, “I am the Way and the truth and the life.” For years, she'd been searching for truth in the wrong places. Her faith in God strengthened her and sustained through the worst of times. When she entered courtrooms she thought, “This is His battle and I am His tool.” Please join Kate and Sheila as they recap Saving My Assassin in which the author profoundly lives out Stephen Covey's quote, “I am not a product of my circumstances. I am a product of my choices.” This is the episode of the podcast where I first heard about Virginia and here is her website. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/recapbookchat/message
Gloria Anderson has to be the most forgiving person on this earth. Her faith in god is incredibly strong and I believe is the reason she possesses such forgiveness. Not only is she forgiving, but courageous and brave as well. Amazingly so. Gloria has got EVERY REASON IN THE WORLD to think the world was/is a very dark, cruel, place to belong, but it just isn't in her nature to think like that. Gloria saw the goodness in many, including Darin, a regular client who'd lost his job, his home and his self-worth But things began to change when Darin wanted to be more than a border to Gloria – he wanted a relationship which Gloria didn't, and she made that plainly clear. Darin didn't take the news well and feeling rejected and angry, he bound and raped her, tortured her, then abducted her, putting her bound and gagged into the boot of her own car and drove it to a NSW motel where he again raped and tortured he and locked her in a cupboard. Gloria managed to escape and alert the owners of the motel, and it is there that Gloria's nightmare REALLY began. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

"For All My Life" singer, songwriter, and worship leader TAYA is our guest in this episode of The Walk. She tells a story of how she has consistently chosen the way of Jesus in the midst of really difficult seasons. Her faith in God's goodness and mercy led her through a redemption process even though she continues to face the same hurt and letdown over and over and over again. Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV) 28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Along the journey and through those broken relationships she mentions, TAYA also tells of her father stepping away from the church and the deep hurt that caused her. But her constant companion of scripture, prayer, and worship are at the center of her faith journey. TAYA teaches us all, through her suffering, that God will comfort the broken hearted and is working all things for his glory. Psalm 34:18 (NIV) 18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. - - - - - - Please subscribe to our social channels for more information and great content surrounding building a lifestyle of worship. This podcast is brought to you by Authentic Media and Worship Leader Magazine. Our host is Joshua Swanson and the show's co-producer and editor is Matt McCartie. More episodes can be found here. Who is TAYA Gaukrodger? Long before TAYA became one of UNITED's most acclaimed and impactful vocalists, with over one billion streams and numerous world tours over the last decade, her journey with Jesus began in the small town of Lismore, Australia. Her mother led her in the sinner's prayer at age five and she attended a small community church with her family where her father was an elder & worship leader. The singer grew up listening to the local radio stations, her father's record collection (Fleetwood Mac, Beatles) and classical music. After starting to lead worship in her high school years, TAYA cried out to God to use her: “I love to sing but whatever you want God.” After that, she couldn't shake the strong feeling she associated with singing faith-based songs. TAYA left Lismore for bustling Sydney at the age of 21 with only $200 dollars to her name and a very specific goal: to make music her career. Not wanting to just attend a church, TAYA began serving as a youth leader in her local church on Friday nights when she was off from her retail job. Her church began offering her opportunities, culminating in UNITED longtime producer & guitarist, Michael Guy Chislett, inviting her first to sing backing vocals on a recording project (which turned into UNITED's Zion album) then singing lead on the song that became the group's record breaking worship anthem of the decade, “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail).”

I recently had the distinct pleasure of interviewing Lisa Smith recently on TSC Talks. I met Lisa through a mutual friend, as is explained in the podcast. I was thrilled to do a podcast with another special needs parent and local to Massachusetts. Lisa is a parent of 22 years old Nick, who experiences nonverbal autism, has adopted several children, and over the years has fostered 27. During our interview not only was Lisa able to draw from and articulate profound experiences and topics in such a way as to not only connect them to her lived experience, but she was also able to illustrate how she's taken the time to integrate and utilize all of it to further evolve as a soul but to also facilitate trust, healing, and connection for all her children, biological, adopted and fostered. Her words tell the story, her faith guides her. One of the most important points of our discussion was the realization that it is not these children that are “lucky to have her,” but it is she that is lucky to have them. As a special needs parent myself, this awareness was a true turning point in my understanding of this divine assignment where I became the student and realized my children are my teachers, one that Lisa feels and experiences every day. “It's biblical, she said at one point “And when I began to read the Bible, I had learned that some of my actual walks in life, were very biblical… There's a story that says, God got the 99 sheep, but there was one on the hill. He went back for that one. Most people in life. So God has designed me through my journey, not to forget the one.”“Presence, presence, and presence. And to me? Be present. People always say things like, oh, if I win the lottery, I will do that. And I always tell people all the time I won the lottery five times, five children and people say, oh, they're so lucky to have you, but really….How do I know that I'm going to take care of my disabled son someday? Right? How do I know they're not there to help me when I become disabled someday? We do not know, you know, so we, you know, and, and we don't do it for those selfish reasons. So, we don't do anything to get things, you know, and, and, you know, we do things because that's who we are and that's our heart.”I appreciated this podcast so much and hope you will too. I feel it was put in front of me by my higher self, as sound bite after sound bite so many of Lisa's words not only related to me personally but also inspired and challenged me. Her faith in God is huge and expansive but she shares honestly the hard truths she's faced personally to get to where she is now. Thanks, Lisa, for all the ways you are serving a higher calling and being willing to share your journey with me and this audience. An article about Lisa Smith: https://www.wickedlocal.com/story/archive/2012/04/27/taunton-mom-using-what-she/38199711007/ Time stamps to be added!

Jataun Rollins, LCSW is a native Chicagoan and a proud produce of the Chicago Public School System. Jataun is also a graduate of Eureka College in downstate Illinois. She speaks lovingly of Carol Gearing, a loving mentor who introduced her to the literary classics like Chaucer, Shakespeare, Richard Wright and countless others. Her parents, along with her mentor, made sure that she was well read and exposed. Her career trajectory has included working in a variety of capacities in child welfare, senior services and social welfare policy. Jataun is known in the community as a Subject Matter Expert and the “go to person” as it relates to children and family services. She also made a commitment during the early part of her work career that she would not remain working at someone’s desk for the remainder of her life. She knew at some point she wanted to draw on her entrepreneurial gifts and her intense desire to make a difference within the African American community. After having taken on a whole new job, where she hoped to add to her repertoire and skill set, Jataun lost that job and was unemployed for quite a bit of time. Her faith in God was really tested, and just as she was at her lowest point financially, she was notified that a grant that she applied for had come through! It was then that she founded 1863FWD, LLC along with its non-profit arm called 1863 Care 2 Care. The mission and focus of 1863FWD is to empower and prepare the formerly incarcerated with the ability to bring their strengths to their communities. Although Jataun realizes that many of these clients will secure traditional job opportunities, she is highly committed to grooming entrepreneurs where their often hidden talents can come to the forefront. Jataun, along with her parents, siblings, children and other extended family members have always found themselves engaged in a number of entrepreneurial pursuits. As if being a renaissance woman were not enough, Jataun, is a doll maker. Her dolls have been commissioned by Therapists who work with children who are greeted with positive images of themselves during counseling and therapeutic sessions. She is also a published author of books that also speak to children’s positive self-images. Her words of wisdom to women age 50+ include JUST DO IT! She wants us to operate within our passions and not listen to those voices that don’t uplift our vision. Her mantra is “You are packaged perfectly!” She also feels it is imperative that we identify what is important to us first and foremost. “I feel the first half of my life went to rearing children and fulfilling the expectations of others,” says Jataun. JUST DO IT! You can connect with Jataun on 1863FWD.org, as Jataun Rollins on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.

The Questions About CBD You Want Answers To What is CBD? What are the benefits of CBD? How to use CBD? What factors should I consider when buying CBD? What are the benefits of CBD? Why choose organic CBD? CBD and Me Have you ever done something that you swore you'd never do? Well, that's exactly what happened to me recently. I was introduced to a CBD product and saw the results and just had to jump on board. It's still mind-boggling to me… In fact, it's a double whammy. As a former pharmacist, I have always been skeptical of anything that wasn't FDA approved but was being used for medicinal purposes. It didn't matter if it was organic or not, the fact that it hadn't been regulated caused me to hesitate. Until my friend, Cori introduced me to Green Compass Global CBD products. The results people are experiencing are mind-blowing. Here are the reasons I joined the team at Green Compass Global. First, it never hurts to have an additional revenue stream. If 2020 taught us anything, it's that having multiple revenue streams is smart. Second, the company aligns with a few of my core values of faith, integrity, and service to others. Third, if I can help someone else find relief from ailments or sleep better, feel less anxious, or have less pain, I'm all in. I read a quote recently by Barbara Nakatomi – “If you want something better and different, be willing to do something better and different.” That resonated with me for this journey that I recently embarked on. About Sam, Tammie, and Cori and Their Relationships with CBD and Green Compass Global About Cori Gochar Cori has a bachelor's degree in nursing and has been able to use her nursing background to help navigate through the last 23 years battling an autoimmune disease. She has done research in all areas of health and wellness, including, spiritual discipline, nutrition, yoga, and clean eating. Cori is passionate about total body wellness and looks at the human body as being composed of mind, body, and soul. Cori's recent discovery of the endocannabinoid system and pure, clean medical-grade CBD has furthered her wellness journey and she is so excited to have linked arms with Green Compass Global. Her passion is to share her knowledge with others so they can feel their very best ~mind, body, and soul. Cori knows she is blessed to be a blessing. She is the mother of four beautiful kids and the wife of a dentist. Cori finds joy in her faith and family. She considers herself as being a “hope dealer”. In everything, she does she always has her two perfect sidekicks ~her labrador retrievers Leroy and Nala! About Samantha Faile Samantha is a natural-born “helper.” She is a firm believer that credentials and job descriptions do not define her but they equip her with life lessons that she can share with others. Samantha has been a dancer since she could walk and became fascinated with the body and movement at an early age. Her path led her to explore athletic training during her short-lived college adventure at North Greenville University. Samantha found her soul mate 0f 24 years through her love for dance and music. Together they have 2 beautiful kids and she has a bonus son who has given them 4 awesome grandchildren. Samantha's passion for health, nutrition, and exercise led her to become a certified instructor for Gold's Gym. There she helped clients for over 10 years develop healthy lifelong habits as well as a love for fitness. Samantha's studies and fascination for nutrition served her well. She used that knowledge to help her own son who was diagnosed with a neurological disorder at an early age. Her faith in God and his genius of giving us plant-based medicine and holistic approaches have allowed her son, who is now 17, to be on the other side of that disorder without prescriptions. Samantha's mission is to share her experiences with others in hopes of helping them and their families. She truly believes it is possible to live your best life through natural approaches to healing and wellness. Her motto is “farm first and pharma last.” After much research, she has now partnered with an amazing CBD company that is changing lives and she gets to work individually with each business partner and customer to see them achieve incredible results. About Tammie Epley Tammie is a wife and homeschool mom of 2 who loves sharing the gospel and Jesus. She has worked in the healthcare industry as a Respiratory Therapist for 15 years and has a passion for helping others. About CBD CBD stands for cannabidiol, one of many cannabinoids in both marijuana and hemp. There are actually over a hundred cannabinoids but the two most talked about are CBD and THC. THC is marijuana. It has psychoactive effects and makes you high. Unlike THC, CBD is non-psychoactive, it does not make you high. THC and CBD are two varieties of the same plant. Hemp was bred to provide high levels of CBD and very low levels of THC, only 0.3%. CBD is projected to be a $22 billion industry by 2022. Hemp is lawful. What Factors Should Be Considered When Buying CBD Products Quality – highest grade raw materials, pure, natural, organic, and effective Farming – organic and domestic Transparency – Does the company you are purchasing from share ingredients, extraction methods, and farming practices. Reliability – Does the company you are purchasing from offer a money-back guarantee? Some Of The Benefits of CBD Include Anti-inflammatory Antioxidant – helps modulate the immune system It can alleviate pain and reduce muscular tension Improved social interactions by helping to alleviate anxious feelings For pets, it helps with maintaining healthy hips and joints and a sense of calm. How to Use CBD CBD can be used in low doses as a supplement or in higher doses for more therapeutic effects. The key to dosing CBD is to start low and go slow. Cori's Journey with CBD and Green Compass Global She needed answers and hope. For 23 years Cori has been battling an autoimmune disease that has affected a lot of her organs and has had to be on high-risk drugs and her outlook was that she would have to be on them for the rest of her life. Through prayer, Tammie introduced CBD to Cori. Cori was skeptical that a little plant would help her body. She'd been on so many strong medications, but since there was a 30-day money-back guarantee she decided to try it. After a week or two, Cori discovered that she felt good, she was less anxious, slept better, and had fewer aches and pains. The best news came when Cori's doctor said she wouldn't have to do chemotherapy this month because her blood work was so pristine. Her life is completely changed and she is grateful to God for such a miraculous blessing. CBD May Not Have the Same Effect For Everyone We need to put a caveat on Cori's testimony for CBD. Every person who tries CBD will experience different results depending on what is going on within their body. It's also important to note that Cori was using Green Compass Global CBD and results may vary with other products that aren't manufactured the way Green Compass products are. Personal Branding Cori gave the perfect example of building the know love and trust factor as a direct sales representative. Trust determines buying practices. Similarly,if you want to attract clients, you have to build a personal brand and build the know love and trust factor. Learn more about personal branding here. Sam As a former fitness training and someone who studied nutrition, Sam believes plants first pharma second. When her son was diagnosed with a neurological disorder, she decided to forgo pharmaceuticals and use nutrition and at that time was introduced to CBD oil. At this time, there is no sign of neurological disease. Sam is an enneagram 2, which means she's a helper. She was struggling to sleep and the needs of those around her were keeping her awake at night. As she researched things to help her sleep, she began to try CBD products. When she found Green Compass CBD, she was taking 2800 mg of CBD a day. She was finally feeling in charge of her emotions and able to sleep. When Sam tried Green Compass CBD, she was shocked at how effective it was at such a low dose. Her cousin told Sam to start off at the 500mg/ml bottle and use .25ml. Sam took ¼ of a dropper three times a day and she was feeling great, rested, energized and less stressed. At that point, Sam introduced the Green Compass CBD to her mom and sister and when they started to see results, her cousin told her about the opportunity to join Green Compass. What sold Sam, was that there was no paperwork and it was direct sales, no middle person, so the cost can be low and the cost is the same for Green Compass representatives and all other consumers. Sam expressed how both customers and other representatives are seeing amazing results from the product and the company and that their lives are being changed. Tammie Anxiety has always been a crux for Tammie. She saw doctors and tried medications, but nothing worked. Hormonal imbalances and neck pain made Tammie desperate to find something to help her feel better. After the devastation of losing a pregnancy, she was at the darkest point of her life. Her friend stepped in to help Tammie and suggested CBD. Like Cori, Tammie was skeptical. She had tried CBD before, but it didn't work. Her friend introduced her to Green Compass Global CBD and she was very impressed with the product and became fascinated with how the endocannabinoid system works. After three weeks of starting the CBD, she started sleeping better, her skin was better, and her neck no longer hurt. At that point, she wanted to become part of Green Compass Global so that she could share the CBD with everyone she knew. The better she felt, the more she wanted to share it. The other thing Tammie loves about Green Compass Global is the fact that it is a new company and a ground floor opportunity. Tammie believes Green Compass Global CBD products are amazing. Likewise, Tammie shared that the compensation plan is amazing. Like Cori, Green Compass Global CBD has changed Tammie's life. Why Using Organic CBD Is Important You want organic CBD because the hemp plant absorbs toxins from the environment. If it is not organic, you could be putting toxins in your body which defeats the purpose. Learn More About Your Host, Robyn Graham, Click HERE. Mother love I came out dirty You drew me bosom close Smothered with warmth Kisses and songs I came out crying With your joy Sorrow doors slammed shut Gentle words, earths welcome Your eyes my first, Your hands, my blanket your voice my rhythm your care my comfort Indescribable love with you, my beauty defined you believed, no wrong in me with your push, the world mine is Always beside me No complaint, ever your words. Life filled I was the best, mother love I grew, confident and sure Gently leading never judging Loving freely, ever willing Destiny shaping, God pointing My angel, my first love My cheerleader my cupbearer My friend, my nurture Blessed, measureless Salute, a million salutes Mother mine you deserving World's greatest you have to be Strength undefinable yours is. Mother, you are the very best. Today again, I praise your courage Every day my Mother's Day. Mother, mom, mama, momma, Maami. My Mother It was a Friday, I was driving back home from my mission field, and I felt a very heavy foreboding. I knew something was happening around me just could not put my finger on it. I tried to sing songs of worship (what I do when I am clueless or in a fix) all that came were funeral songs. I got home, and another strange thing happened. A bat was in my room. The whole house had nets all around, and so we could not fathom how the bat found its way inside the house. We trapped and got rid of it. I was still perplexed when around 8 pm, I felt as though something left me. Something or someone close to me was making their exit. It was a bizarre, eerie feeling. My mind was still troubled. It was the Easter season. I resorted to meditating on why Jesus came to make the huge sacrifice. On Sunday afternoon, the president of the fellowship I attended came to visit. He chatted about nothing in particular. I sensed he was aiming at something, mainly because he was asking a lot of questions about my mother. My answers must have made him believe I had an idea she was gone because he took his talk further by singing and in the song he twisted some of the words to ask, "how do you mourn?" I replied; “I mourn in the spirit,” and then I caught myself and asked, what had happened to my mother. He answered and said she had gone to be with The Lord. I was numb for several days. You see, my last conversation with my mama was her telling me she felt it was time for her to relax and enjoy the fruit of her labour, but she feared her blood pressure issues had other plans. I rebuked her and even quoted Isaiah saying, ‘you will not plant and another harvest' (my paraphrase). She did not reply me. My point, twenty-six years ago, on the 22nd of April 1994, Maami, Josephine Omenogor Ndego left us to join the triumphant saints. I miss her, remember every day. I sign her name daily before I can access my files. It's my way of keeping her in front of me. I remember her drive, her ruggedness, her faith and above all, her love. As I write this, I am very emotional. My mother was an incredible woman. With very little, she produced a lot. She had tremendous insight and saw through people very easily. She was strong and tender at the same time. Her faith in God was total and daring. Maami, I salute you. You are a rare mother, indeed. Thank you for your sacrifice, and thank you for teaching me to hold my head up high no matter what. amazon.com/anneajadi anneajadinspirations.com Instagram/arnajadi Twitter/arnajadi Facebook/anneajadi Youtube/anneajadi BOOKS BY Anne Ajadi: YOU WILL MARRY WELL GODS LADY IN WAITING WALK WITH ME IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF JESUS STRENGTH FOR THE JOURNEY HEART MATTERS, LIFE MATTERS

Hello and welcome to season 3 episode 18 of The Berean Manifesto, 10 minutes or so a week of Faith, Hope, and Love for the modern Christian. This is Pastor Bill of The Ekklesian House and in this installment, due to circumstances out of my control, we are going to be re-visiting a great episode, season 2 episode 75. Enjoy. Romans 8:28 CSB says, “[28] We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.” I guess first off we need to acknowledge that God's idea of good for you and your idea of good for you are most likely not the same. We also have to acknowledge that God deals with big picture and the long game. In the end, a season of physical suffering and lack may be the best thing for your growth and ultimate prosperity. I'm going to tell you two stories to emphasize the point here. Well, I'm going to tell you a story and then I'm going to play you a clip with a second story. The first is from Genesis. The story of Joseph, the son of Jacob of whom God renamed Israel. Joseph was the youngest of his brothers and favored by his father. In his brother's jealousy, they sold him to traders who then sold him to a government official in Egypt, a man named Potiphar. Within three years, Joseph worked his way to the top of Potiphar's servants and is put in charge of all household affairs. Potiphar's wife makes a pass at Joseph and when he refuses her advances, she frames him for rape, and Joseph spends the next ten to twelve years in prison. A decade in which he gains favor with the warden, gets put in charge of the prison, and interprets the dreams of two men very close to the pharaoh. One who turns out well, the other one gets beheaded. When Pharaoh himself needs some dream interpretation that his “trusted” advisors are too afraid to explain to him, Joseph is called in. Pharaoh puts Joseph in charge of preparing the kingdom for a coming famine and puts all of Egypt under Joseph's power. Later, when it is revealed to Josephs brothers that he not only survived their treachery but went on to thrive he says to them in Genesis 50:20 CSB, “[20] You planned evil against me; God planned it for good to bring about the present result-the survival of many people.” Indeed, all that Joseph went through placed him in the instrumental position to prevent all the people of Egypt, and the surrounding lands, from starving to death. Now for a more modern story, I'll relinquish the next few minutes to Pastor Craig Groeschel of Life.Church. “I'm gonna tell you a battle I've had in my mind that's not gonna seem like a big deal to you, and it's really not, but it's been a big deal to me. Almost five weeks ago, my latest book, Hope in the Dark, came out, and it's my 15th book. It's the number-one book that's closest to my heart. It tells the journey of the pain that my family's been through. It was available for two days. It's been sold out since. Three full weeks, it's not available on Amazon. Four weeks, it's not available in stores. Some of you, like Pollyanna people are like, oh, praise God. No, I'm upset, okay? The printers can't keep up with the demand. There's people that want it that can't get it. It loses momentum. It's a message that I want in people's hands, and they can't find it. I'm upset. This week, I heard about a couple, and it changed my perspective. Rance and Heather, a couple in their 30s. Heather has been sick and dealing with significant physical issues. She almost died, spent three months in the hospital, recovered, and looked like she was on a good track. They have one child named Boston, and things looked up for Heather and Rance. Now, Rance went outside, came back in, and Heather was not conscious. And at the age of 38, she never recovered. She died. That's a really bad day. But God is still good. Heather liked to shop, and evidently, a couple of weeks ago, she made a purchase. What she ordered was not available. She died, and between her death and her funeral, her last purchase was delivered in the mail. And between her death and her funeral, her husband went to the mailbox and got her last purchase. Her last purchase was a book that came at the exact right time called Hope in the Dark: Believing that God is Good When Life Is Not. And Rance, who just lost his 38-year-old wife, said, I can really see how much God is still with me, because he cared that much, to bring it at the perfect time. So, here's ol' Pastor Craig, full of faith. It's the worst thing ever. No, no, no, no, no. God's timing, His goodness, His timing is perfect. Rance, when he gave me permission to tell this story, said, yeah, it's a really dark time, but Heather's life has inspired so many people. Her faith in God has touched so many people. So what kind of day is it? It's the worst day ever, or, as Rance said, if her story touches one person, then I'm gonna give God praise for that. Here's the problem. So many people see the bad because you're looking for the bad. If you look for God, you will find Him. Where do we make the mistake in our minds? It's we often try to interpret God through our circumstances. This is bad; therefore, God is bad. There's another way to look at the world, and that is to interpret your circumstances through the goodness of God. Then you can recognize, even on what is a bad day, our God is still good. He's still involved. He still cares. He will never leave you. He will never forsake you. Even in the dark times, even when we're waiting, we can still praise him, because no matter what our circumstances are like, our God is always good. You cannot control what happens to you. But you can control how you frame it.” “[28] We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.” That's what Romans 8:28 CSB says, right? To me that sounds like a day to day involvement for those of us submitted to God's will. I surrender my life, my will, my thoughts, and most importantly my plans to The Lord and His will. So, when I oversleep, lose my car keys, have a flat tire, get stuck in traffic, hit every red light, or get stuck behind that train, maybe it's just a fluke, but I choose to believe that God has moved in my life either for my good or the good of another. I like how Pastor Craig put it of controlling how you frame it. You can choose to sweat the details, or you can choose to believe that The Lord is at work. If you're wrong, then all you've lost is stress. Stress that would have shortened your life anyway. This is Pastor Bill saying, “Until next time…”
Excuse my language y'all! Sheesh, she the BIG MAD. Join Shante inside of her personal closet as she decides to stand on the identity that God formed before the foundations of the world. Listen as she prays, declares, and prophesy what and who God says that she is. She'll teach a little and pray much, as she denounces the evil report, Shante stands bold in her fight against the plans of our enemy. Her faith in God produces a "Holy Ghost attitude," as she would put it, and allows her to see the truth of her identity. Short teachings on the Holy Spirit, praying in the Holy Spirit, and the elementary levels of prayer with the Father, she allows us to see her uniqueness & authenticity as she enters her prayer closet. Being honest is what God looks for, & she for sure was honest on this episode. Encouraging us all to stand ten toes down in boldness & the winds blow mightily, her decision to be who God made her to be has given her a battle that has already been won. We still have to show up to the fight, clothed in God's armor and she's done just that. It may be "ratchet" and it may be "unusual" but it is her truth. God is with us, God is for us, & WE have the victory. Knowing who you are in Christ makes you fight until the death. Death of yourself, death of the old, death of the curses, that you may be born into greatness in God. Will you stand or will you fold? It's up to you. Please share if this was a blessing to you.Comment, Review, & DownloadWant to support Closet Conversations? Have any questions? This woman knows what struggle looks like. Her first introduction was at the age of 12. Her faith in God directed her toward the struggles of others and a lifetime of mission trips began. But at age 21, she was face to face with her own struggle. She found herself homeless and had to live out of her car. Yet 8 years later this same young woman was featured in Forbes and Fortune as owning one of the fastest growing woman-owned companies in the world. It is my pleasure to welcome Britnie Turner.

Hello and welcome to season 2 episode 75 of The Berean Manifesto, brought to you by The Ekklesian House. This is Pastor Bill and over the next 10 minutes, or so, we are going to be talking about divine frustration, when our plans are frustrated by God.
