(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Christian burials denied in Odisha State, India In mid-May, villagers in Odisha State, India opposed the burial of a deceased Christian, reports International Christian Concern. Their claim? A Christian funeral would defile the gods and the land of the village. Sadly, authorities were unable to convince villagers to allow the burial, and the body was taken to another location. Although Christian burials have long been denied in India, these denials are increasingly occurring as a method of persecuting Christians in Odisha State. Three independent investigations conducted in Odisha between March and April pointed to an alarming rise in the number of Christians denied burial rights. The investigations concluded that the absence of state laws allocating burial land for Christians has enabled the trend. FBI investigates leaked Dobbs Supreme Court ruling FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino announced Monday that he and FBI Director Kash Patel are going to “re-open” an investigation into the consequential 2022 leak of the U.S. Supreme Court's Dobbs decision, reports Life News. On May 2, 2022, Politico published a draft of a Supreme Court opinion, authored in February by Justice Samuel Alito, in the case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization. The official ruling was not released until June 24, 2022. The draft opinion made it evident that the Supreme Court was all but certain to rule in favor of the Mississippi pro-life law at the center of the case. A majority of justices on the Supreme Court were prepared to overturn the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision and the 1992 Planned Parenthood v. Casey decision which had extended broad federal legal protections to the practice of abortion. Politico cited a “person familiar with the court's deliberations” to confirm that Justices Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett had already voted in favor of Alito's opinion following oral arguments in December of 2021, yielding a five-justice majority to strike down Roe and Casey, as the pro-abortion precedents are known. Pro-abortion activists made clear that they intended to target pro-life pregnancy resource centers and Catholic parishes in response to the Dobbs leak. Indeed, more than 100 pro-life centers and churches were firebombed, smashed, ransacked, or vandalized with pro-abortion graffiti and threatening messages, reported Fox News.   Then, five weeks after the Dobbs leak, but before the official ruling was announced, a man flew from California to D.C. with the intention of going on a killing spree. His target? The pro-life Supreme Court justices. Nicholas Roske went to Kavanaugh's house first located in Montgomery County, Maryland. He was armed with a pistol and equipped with gear to break into the justice's house undetected. Appeals court paused block of Trump's retaliatory tariffs A federal appeals court granted the Trump administration's request to temporarily pause the Wednesday ruling of the  U.S. Court of International Trade which struck down most of President Donald Trump's tariffs, reports CNBC. The judges of the trade court had found that the 1970s-era law Trump had invoked to enact those tariffs, the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, does not “confer such unbounded authority” to presidents. The nationwide, permanent block they imposed covered all of the retaliatory tariffs that Trump issued in early April as part of his sweeping “Liberation Day” plan to reshape international trade with the rest of the world. Without a doubt, the Wednesday ruling destabilized a pillar of Trump's economic agenda. Illinois House approves physician-assisted suicide bill And finally, on Thursday, the Illinois House narrowly passed a controversial physician-assisted suicide bill (SB 1950 Amendment 2) by a vote of 63 to 42, with two members cowardly voting “present,” reports the Illinois Family Institute. Oddly enough, 11 state representatives did not cast a vote on the legislation. David Smith, the Executive Director, prayed this prayer on a video which was shared with fellow Christians. SMITH: “I pray, Lord, that many of these lawmakers who are on the fence would choose to err on the side of life and not on death. Lord, I pray that your people would rise up throughout the state of Illinois. I pray that many church leaders would speak up and let their state lawmakers know that this is unacceptable. Illinois should never accept or normalize suicide!” At its April 2025 annual meeting, the Illinois State Medical Society overwhelmingly voted to oppose legalizing physician-assisted suicide. This decision reflects the stance of most Illinois doctors against prescribing lethal medications. They took an oath to do no harm and certainly not to provide the means for their patients to end their lives. If you live in Illinois, send an email to your State Senator here. Pastor Latasha H. Fields is a 17-year home educator and parental rights advocate. She founded several organizations, including Christian Home Educators Support System, a homeschool co-op and microschool, EPIC Cafe (Empowering Parents Igniting Communities), and Team Illinois, a civic engagement organization located on the Southside of Chicago. She serves as the Illinois State Coordinator for ParentalRights.org, an organization dedicated to protecting parental rights. She is also recognized as a 1776 Unites Achiever, the 21st Ward Republican Committeewoman, a former candidate for Lieutenant Governor, and the recipient of the Illinois Family Institute 2021 "Voice of Truth" award for her faithfulness and efforts to rescue students from the Apostles of Wokeism in government schools. Latasha presented her testimony of perseverance to the Congressional House Committee on the Budget during the hearing titled "Poverty in America: Economic Realities of Struggling Families." (Adam@TheWorldview.com) Shooting in Pakistan Christian settlement kills 1, injures 4 On the evening of August 8, William was sitting outside his home in a Christian settlement of 28 families in southwest Pakistan while children played nearby. Without warning, two masked men rode by and began shooting. William and four boys, ranging in age from 10 to 16, were critically injured in the shooting and taken to the nearest large hospital 15 miles away. Sadly, William later died from his injuries, reports Voice of the Martyrs. While there is significant Taliban violence in the region, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack in the 96% Muslim country. Hurricane Ian death toll rises to 70 With a death toll of 70, rescuers searched on Saturday for survivors among the Florida homes ruined by Hurricane Ian, reports the Miami Herald. Thus far, there have been 4,000 rescues. Florida's First Lady, Casey DeSantis, appeared on Fox & Friends and urged viewers to consider giving to the just-created Florida Disaster Fund which raised $12 million in just 24 hours. She explained what they are doing with the money. CASEY DeSANTIS: “We have 300 trucks in the affected areas, as we speak, and they are chock full of water, food, and supplies. We have two distribution points going out with the National Guard. So, people are getting the food and supplies that they need. We are working very quickly to ensure that they have that. “Going forward with this fund, what we really hope it's going to do is help people who have lost everything. They don't know where to turn. Perhaps insurance doesn't cover something for them. So, these funds could help repair roofs and just help them get back on their feet. Because we are going to be with the people in Florida for as long as it takes for them to get their lives back.” MacArthur to CA Gov. Newsom: Your soul "lies in grave, eternal peril" Pastor John MacArthur of Grace Community Church called upon Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom to repent for his controversial re-election campaign that invoked Scripture in defense of abortion, reports The Christian Post. The September 29th open letter quotes the Bible numerous times in response to the campaign earlier this month, which MacArthur said “shamelessly” misquoted Mark 12:31 for Newsom's own political purposes. MacArthur wrote, “You revealed to the entire nation how thoroughly rebellious against God you are when you sponsored billboards across America promoting the slaughter of children, whom He creates in the womb (Psalm 139:13–16; Isaiah 45:9–12). In Isaiah 45:11, “This is what the Lord says— the Holy One of Israel, and its Maker: Concerning things to come, do you question Me about My children, or give Me orders about the work of My hands?” MacArthur added, “You further compounded the wickedness of that murderous campaign with a reprehensible act of gross blasphemy, quoting the very words of Jesus from Mark 12:31 as if you could somehow twist His meaning and arrogate His name in favor of butchering unborn infants.” According to MacArthur, Newsom “used the name and the words of Christ to promote the credo of Molech (Leviticus 20:1–5). It would be hard to imagine a greater sacrilege.” Stacey Abrams claims the heartbeat at 6 weeks is “manufactured” Listen to this demonstrably false claim by Democrat Stacey Abrams, a candidate for Georgia governor. ABRAMS: "There is no such thing as a heartbeat at six weeks. It is a manufactured sound designed to convince people that men have the right to take control of a woman's body." Laurie Higgins, Cultural Affairs Writer for the Illinois Family Institute, said, “One wonders if Abrams conferred with Planned Parenthood. Until recently Planned Parenthood's website said this about human fetal development at gestational weeks 5-6: ‘A very basic beating heart and circulatory system develop.' That was then. This is now: ‘A part of the embryo starts to show cardiac activity. It sounds like a heartbeat on an ultrasound, but it's not a fully-formed heart — it's the earliest stage of the heart developing.'”  Higgins concludes, “Planned Parenthood sophists desperately hope Americans are as scientifically ignorant as Abrams pretends to be.” Pastor suspended from TikTok for saying ‘men can't have babies' Mark Driscoll, the outspoken Senior Pastor of Trinity Church in Scottsdale, Arizona, says he was briefly suspended from the popular short-form video hosting service TikTok for declaring on the platform that “men can't have babies,” reports The Christian Post. On Saturday, Driscoll tweeted, “What happens on TikTok when you say that men can't have babies” alongside an image of a notice on his suspended TikTok account stating that he was prevented from posting due to “multiple violations” of the hosting service's community guidelines. The suspension of the account ended last Thursday. In his reaction to the restriction by TikTok, Driscoll cited Romans 1:18 which says: “For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.” Bros, all-homosexual romantic comedy, a flop And finally, Bros, an all-homosexual romantic comedy, is a big flop, reports ShowBiz411.com. The opening weekend's train wreck was especially revealing in light of an enviable amount of publicity and marketing from the politically correct media, including a full segment on ABC's The Bachelorette where the homosexual couple was oddly doling out dating advice to heterosexuals.  In other words, the American public has no appetite for such sexual perversion, especially including graphic scenes in this R-rated movie. Focus on the Family's PluggedIn.com noted that “as the movie opens, we're treated to a flashback of Bobby, the lead character, talking with a movie executive who wants Bobby to write a homosexual romance for film, under the premise that homosexual and heterosexual relationships are essentially the same. Bobby rejects that notion—calling it a myth that the homosexuals created.” Not surprisingly, Bros includes 60 profane words and the Lord's name is taken in vain 23 times! PluggedIn.com's conclusion?  “Bros is symptomatic of a broader issue: a culture increasingly unwilling to deny itself anything. … Bros understands, on some level, how shallow its fleeting hookups can be.
