From the imagination of director Ernie Barbarash we talk Too Close For Christmas. The third film collaboration we have done on the show with generational talents Jessica Lowndes and Chad Michael Murray. Also we talk cheese and crackers.
What do puppy love, a flailing medical career, and Mr. Christmas have in common? In their final recap and review of the 2024 'Countdown to Christmas' season, Jennifer + Josh recap and review the much-anticipated "Happy Howlidays", starring Jessica Lowndes and the winner of Hallmark+'s reality series, 'Finding Mr. Christmas', Ezra Moreland. We'll give you our -- HONEST -- opinion about this one, along with a full plot recap! So, what did you think? Let us know in the comments! Connect with us on our social media channels! Send us your movie recommendations! The film discussion begins around 11:50.Remember the last VHS tape you owned? We kick off this episode with a cheerful trip down memory lane, reminiscing about our final VHS treasures before diving into a thrilling film review. We also revisit the eerie world of "Darkness Falls," revealing new depths of Matilda Dixon's tragic backstory through a fascinating comic book tie-in. And for all the special effects aficionados out there, we highlight the magic spun by Stan Winston and experience the nostalgic charm of early 2000s ads.Ever wondered how a low-budget horror film set in a tiny plane can grip you from takeoff to landing? We share our thoughts on the 2010 Canadian horror flick "Altitude." We break down the film's unique aviation setting and the dynamic, if somewhat immature, characters. We discuss Jessica Lowndes' performance as Sarah, the questionable competence of her piloting skills, and how the film cleverly utilizes aviation jargon to build tension. As the airborne thriller unfolds, we dissect the chaos that erupts mid-flight, from mechanical failures to monstrous hallucinations. We debate the group's decisions, especially Cory's risky efforts to unjam the elevator and Sal's shocking betrayal. Despite its low Rotten Tomatoes score, we argue that "Altitude" is a hidden gem worth your time, with its blend of supernatural, horror, and mystery thriller elements. To cap it off, we share some practical air travel advice, emphasizing the importance of experienced pilots, and laugh at the film's quirky release date inconsistencies. Join us for an episode packed with thrills, chills, and a touch of nostalgia!

No Hallmark Christmas season is complete without a fake engagement storyline, and today we're watching the all-time greatest fake engagement Hallmark movie, A December Bride. This movie originally aired in 2016 and stars Jessica Lowndes and Daniel Lissing, Kerri's Hallmark crush. In this episode we discuss how sickeningly jealous we were of this cast, taking fashion risks, the major launchpad that is Degrassi, the Shenae Beech (NÉE Grimes) eyebrow beauty mark, Maddy's family gatorade ball pit aka their Dodge Caravan, our VERY opposing views on the university scandal, the ethics of wearing bikinis at night with your brother, getting bullied for being pale, a certain cameo that involves a royal blowjob, all the fugly purse straps akimbo, having to see Michael from The Wire as Dixon, mamas boring people, making a meal of your adoption, the American Apparel skater dress and SO MUCH MORE!!!
Jessica Lowndes proves that being hot ain't easy.
Happy fa la la la holidays everyone! We're officially on the other side of the 2022 Christmas TV movie season, can you believe it?? There was no UpTV this week and I purposefully didn't watch Netflix's The Noel Diary just yet but that didn't stop us from the biggest week yet featuring a full lineup on Hallmark, Lifetime, and GAC Family. Hallmark started strong with My Southern Family Christmas on Thanksgiving night but fell by the wayside with #Xmas and A Royal Corgi Christmas on Friday. The crushed Saturday night with A Tale of Two Christmases and Lacey Chabert's Haul out the Holly and then finished strong on Sunday with A Christmas Cookie Catastrophe and easily winning the coveted 8pm Sunday after thanksgiving slot with A Holiday Spectacular featuring the Rockettes. Hallmark Movies and Mysteries's Time For Him to Come Home For Christmas left me bawling and is my new favorite from that channel. Lifetime stayed solid this week with The 12 Days of Christmas Eve featuring Kelsey Grammer and won Friday with Mario Lopez and Jana Kramer's Steppin into the Holiday. Their Sunday Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman mini reunion with Jane Seymour and Joe Lando was a fantastic Sunday edition but just didn't quiet knock off Hallmark. Baking All the Way on Thursday just wasn't a watch for me. And then GAC Family finally delivered a solid movie on Friday with Christmas at the Drive-In featuring Danica McKellar and Neal Bledsoe. Saturday's I'm Glad it's Christmas with Gladys Knight, Jessica Lowndes, and Paul Greene wasn't a win for me, and Sunday's Candace Cameron Bure's debut A Christmas…Present fell a little flat for me. Listen to all that and more now! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

During her run as Adrianna Tate-Duncan on the reboot of 90210, Jessica Lowndes began recording singles. She explored pop, rock, and even Christmas music. In fact, producers originally cast her in a singing role. A decade later, music has become a big part of her career. The 33-year-old recently released Elemental, a visual album that includes a music video for each of the seven tracks. The recent remix for "Hunter" hints that Lowndes could go down an EDM path in the future. As the holiday season approaches, Lowndes talks to Jordan Edwards and Demi Ramos about Elemental, upcoming TV projects, and what it was really like to play Adrianna.
We had the pleasure of interviewing Jessica Lowndes over Zoom video!Canadian multi-hyphenate and CW 90210 star Jessica Lowndes has released her visual album, “ELEMENTAL.” Using the four basic elements of nature—earth, water, air, and fire— Jessica explores the journey of love, loss, redemption and self-forgiveness, in this spicy back-and-forth tale. The narrative is told via 7 chapters and is her directorial debut.Jessica has always created her own path with her ground-breaking acting, captivating sounds, and songwriting talents. She is an internationally renowned music, TV, and film star. With everything shut down, there was no better time to finish the visual LP "ELEMENTAL," which the multihyphenate started working on during the pandemic. The 30-minute visual album tells Jessica's vivacious tale via 7 chapters. She uses the four basic elements of nature—earth, water, air, and fire—to represent the many emotions in the stories she recounts. As she explores the journey of love, loss, redemption, and self-forgiveness, Jessica's production has developed into a spicey back-and-forth. Jessica uses her considerable storytelling abilities to sort through the weight of searching for love, romantic uncertainty and rediscovering self, throughout the entire project. In the first single from the album, Jessica is a wanderer looking for love in "Hunter," and she follows the path of the celestial bodies to guide her on the journey while holding onto hope. She mentions someone warning her about who she gives her heart to, and now she is in love with a man she describes as a thief in the night, and the singer is being hunted by her lover. In the second single, the element of earth is highlighted in "Bitter End" because we see her going through an earthquake in her relationship. The third single, "Lost Love," Jessica expresses her deep feelings for a man she now refers to as "her one and only." She is torn between whether she is truly in love with this man and whether they are reuniting due to loneliness. In "Chasing Ghosts," Lowndes explores a haunting melody, dark and moody cinematic production, and leans into her iconic climactic builds. Charging with electricity, "Chasing Ghosts" is musical lightning in a bottle. The song features vibrant synths, quick drum lines, and rich bass. Her singles released in 2022 have been featured by The Hype Magazine, EARMILK, EXTRA, Ok Magazine, E! Online, Us Weekly and KTLA-TV in Los Angeles. We want to hear from you! This is the full Dames of Hallsnark review for the 2018 Lifetime original movie A Father's Nightmare... How much of a part do boobs play in acting? How timid are 18 year old women? These questions are posed and kinda answered during the course of this episode.Mostly a bunch of confusion surrounded this movie, but it is fun to hear the Dames try to straighten it out.
This is the first ever cursed episode of Dames of Hallsnark. Have the dames been too snarky? That's for the listener to decide. This is the breakdown of Jessica Lowndes and Jeremy Jordan in Mix Up in the Mediterranean. Jen lost the first part of the original discussion, but there is plenty of fashion talk and a great drink recipe for Kristie's Cantina in the second half.
Our second half of Mix Up In The Mediterranean. We resolve the love lives of Josh and Meg. Explore the hunkiness of Callum Blue, who plays Henry. And Tamara has so much to say about Jessica Lowndes' eye shadow. Join us!
We are sooo excited about this movie that it took us 2 episodes for us to say everything we wanted. Are there slight gay themes in this one? Yes! Do we make it gayer in our recap?! Absolutely! Two brothers: one a small town cook, the other a big city chef have to impersonate each other to compete in a prestigious culinary contest. But their plans are complicated when one brother falls for the female event coordinator. Who thinks he's married... and gay. We have a gay ol' time mixing it up (heh heh heh) with this 'Parent Trap 'style movie. Our 2nd day of HNA Christmas brings us to Hallmark's Christmas at Pemberley Manor! Jessica Lowndes plays Elizabeth Bennett and Mark Rady is Mr. William Darcy, himself. Don't be fooled, though, people... The actual congruence to anything Jane Austin-related here is completely non-existent. If you were hoping for a nice period piece, prepare for disappointment as you drive up to Pemberley "Manor" which is really just a big house in Lambden, CT. Darcy is a rich NYC business guy who has divorced himself from the whimsy of Christmas due to painful family memories and Elizabeth is an event planner who is getting her first step out from behind the curtain to plan the Lambden town Christmas festival, thanks to her old friend (zoned) George. Liz has to convince Darcy to let her use Pemberley Manor to host it when the town water main breaks leaving the square useless. That never happens in these movies (ahem, When Sparks Fly #Markleseason)! It's not the joy of Christmas, but his own company's reputation that convinces Darcy to let Liz have run of Pemberley for the week, so that's cool, and Liz puts on a festival that is both tasteful and kitchy... Her boss Caroline, however, is none too pleased with the level of elegance nor how close Liz seems to be getting to Darcy. There's some other stuff about George, two assistants falling in love and a weird Santa-like groundskeeper who saves the day. But he's totally par for the course if you watch these movies. Oh, and Liz and Darcy fall in love. OK, that's it! Go listen! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

We talk about the brand-new "ultimate horror film" Abattoir, directed by Darren Lynn Bousman of the SAW series, starring Jessica Lowndes, and based on the Radical comic series.
An investigative reporter works to solve the mystery behind a mysterious man who has been buying houses where tragedies have occurred. Set in a world where it always feels like night, even in daylight hours, real estate reporter Julia Talben’s (Jessica Lowndes) life is turned upside down when her family is brutally murdered. It is believed to be an open and close case, but Julia quickly realizes there is much more to this story when she returns to the crime scene to find the murder room deconstructed and physically removed from her sister’s home. This ignites an investigative pursuit that eventually leads her and ex-lover Detective Declan Grady (Joe Anderson) to the town of New English where they find the enigmatic Jebediah Crone and the Abattoir - a monstrous house stitched together with unending rooms of death and the damned. Julia comes to realize that her sister’s soul is trapped inside, but the Abattoir isn’t just a house - it’s a door to something more evil than anyone could have ever imagined. Julia and Grady are ultimately faced with the question: How do you build a haunted house? One room at a time. Director Darren Lynn Bousman (Repo! The Genetic Opera, Saw II, Saw III) joins us to talk about this sophisticated and complex cross genre story. For News and updates go to: abattoir.info
