Can a unified network of patients, clinicians, and researchers finally transform tinnitus care? The team at Stop The Ring presents an ambitious plan to do just that with the creation of a Tinnitus Learning Health Network. Originally presented at the 'InFocus: Rethinking Tinnitus Symposium' and moderated by Dr. David Holcomb, this discussion brings together Jeffery Reagan, a tinnitus patient and founder of Stop The Ring, Dr. Jim Henry, a leading tinnitus researcher, and Dr. Donna Murray, a learning health network expert. Together, they outline how this innovative approach can revolutionize tinnitus care by breaking down silos and fostering collaboration to develop standardized, patient-centered treatment pathways. Jeffery shares his personal journey with tinnitus, emphasizing the critical importance of early detection and effective care. Dr. Henry highlights the current gaps in tinnitus management, including the lack of clinical standards and outcome consistency, while Dr. Murray explains how a learning health network integrates real-world data to accelerate improvements in care. Drawing on successful models from other conditions, the team outlines a path toward building a network that breaks down silos, amplifies the patient voice, and delivers better outcomes for those affected by tinnitus. **For more information, visit StopTheRing.org

This is by far the most in depth podcast interview John Christensen has ever participated in.This is an extensive interview which flows up the sides, but never spills out of the river which is the downstream and disastrous effects of offshore finance. There is lots of attention paid to the UK, the lawyers, tax havens, culture, real estate, kleptocrats, foreign aid and a hell of a lot more as well.

Join us at the table for a heartfelt recount of post-Easter warmth and the bonds forged over shared meals. George and I swap stories from our holiday spreads – my peaceful Easter dinner and George's fiery dance with island-style short ribs. We'll also take you through the smoke and sizzle of my ambitious plan to cater a massive feast for 60 people with my lang offset smoker, a tale of meat, fire, and friendship. With special nods to our high-spirited chum Fred, we celebrate the rekindled connections that make these occasions unforgettable. As we savor these moments, we also peel back the layers of life's more daunting challenges. We share the profound shifts in our worldviews after personal health battles, from gallbladder crises to cancer triumphs, and how these experiences have taught us to treasure the mundane and embrace a fresh take on life. Our conversation dances through the philosophies of Picasso and Shaw, contemplating the purpose that propels us. Rounding out our chat, we marvel at the culinary journeys of my pals Jim Henry, a newfound pizza virtuoso, and Chris Nelson, who'll be popping by to talk about his cider escapades in Vermont, all while pondering the importance of staying sharp and informed in a world bristling with misinformation.

In the endless coverage of the ongoing wars and rumors of wars, rarely do we hear commentary on the central role that fossil fuels play in determining the winners and losers. Jacki gives a quick history of the past two world wars and how energy supply was determinative. The United States supplied between 70-80% of the fuel needed to win WW1 and WW2. The effect (purpose?) of the “green” movement is to ensure that the U.S. cannot do the same in WW3. This is why federal investigations have shown that the movement is foreign funded in large part. – Jacki gives a warm farewell message for Jim Henry, legendary oilman of the Permian Basin to whom all Americans owe a debt of gratitude.

On July 8, 113 costumed singers belted out the melody to Dolly Parton's “9 to 5” in a choreographed, frenetic performance that ultimately won gold at the International Barbershop Harmony Society Convention — the fifth championship for the St. Charles-based Ambassadors of Harmony barbershop chorus. The chorus' co-directors, Jim Henry and Jonny Moroni, recount how they planned and pulled together for the competition, and the enduring popularity of barbershop chorus.

I never had the pleasure of working with my next guest, but we did cross paths at EXGO Reunion 3 in Cancun in 2010 (and we currently have 112 mutual friends!). His first season was in Club Med Eleuthera, Bahamas in the Summer of 1990 as a Mini Club G.O., with the amazing Denis Amsellem as CDV. From Fresno, California, please help me give a big MFS welcome to Chris Wiehl! Before Club Med, Chris was a walk-on shooting guard at UCLA Bruins men's basketball team. Although the coach was Walt Hazzard at the time, Chris did get the opportunity to meet legendary UCLA coach John Wooden twice. He first heard about his future employer from a French girlfriend in high school who told him about Club Med (she later worked at CM St. Lucia in '88). After he graduated from UCLA, Chris went to the family resort of Club Med Eleuthera, as a single guy (there is a story there). Before his week was over, he was approached by the late, great Mini Club G.O., Jim Henry, who asked him if he'd like to work there and then cleared it with Denis Amsellem. Chris worked at the resorts of Club Med Punta Cana, Sandpiper and Playa Blanca. He finally made the leap to Landsports at Playa Blanca the winter of 1991/1992, under Gregg Snyder, who was doing his first season as the resort manager. Chris is a heck of a raconteur and you will love his Eleuthera/Shell Hill/Ronnie's Hideaway story with the Mini Club as well as his Richie Cannata (Billy Joel's saxophonist) story. Chris talks fondly about the early G.O. reunions that the late and amazing John Shelly organized in San Francisco in the late 1990's and how much he misses both John Shelley and Jim Henry. **My First Season podcast has always been free to listen to and is available on: Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Samsung Podcasts, Podbean App, Spotify, Amazon Music/Audible, TuneIn + Alexa, iHeartRadio, PlayerFM, Pandora and Listen Notes. Welcome to this Green Beauty Opinion in which Formula Botanica CEO and podcast host Lorraine Dallmeier shares her main takeouts on the last episode with guest Tammy Facey, founder of indie beauty brand Jim + Henry. In a beauty world struggling to grasp sustainability concepts, let alone act on them, solopreneur Tammy impressed us with her simple solutions for getting a product refill scheme up and running. Where mainstream and big beauty brands stall behind well-meaning reports and set impressive goals for decades ahead, Tammy shows how indie beauty can succeed in doing something about sustainability right now. Sustainable practices can't wait. If indie beauty adopts simple answers - which in Tammy's case meant picking up the phone and persuading refill stores to join her network - we can start to chip away at the complex challenges and make a real difference. Indie beauty doesn't need to overthink the issues. With the founder often as sole decision-maker, indie beauty can be nimble and pioneer simple, local solutions that make a difference immediately. Size doesn't matter in acting on sustainability. While indie beauty is world's apart from personal care giants, it can have the advantage of connecting directly to and helping educate its customers on sensible, simple solutions everyone can adopt effortlessly. Lorraine is sure that an entrepreneurial mindset is the way to driving greater sustainability in the beauty sector. Are you up to the challenge? Listen in for a thought-provoking opinion in which Lorraine challenges us to be the voice of change and integrity, making the beauty industry better and more sustainable.
On Green Beauty Conversations, we have covered some challenging concepts in sustainable beauty such as the circular economy, carbon neutral and climate neutral beauty and zero waste. We admit these are not easy to grasp, but together with some incredible guests, this podcast has tried to unpacked these topics in simple terms. While we might all nod in agreement with the ideals and aspirations driving sustainability concepts, just how do we in the indie beauty world make them part of our daily lives and business? Isn't the circular economy something that only big beauty brands with significant research teams and funds can put into practice? In this episode, we hear from one indie beauty entrepreneur whose actions answer this question with a resounding 'No'. We find out that small brands can do just as much to reduce, recycle and reuse and retain resources in the economy as big businesses. It just takes vision, drive and some lateral thinking. Formula Botanica CEO and podcast host Lorraine Dallmeier speaks to indie beauty entrepreneur Tammy Facey who single handedly pioneered her own circular economy scheme. In 2017 Tammy founded Jim + Henry, the UK's first brand for Afro and curly hair type to create a leave-in hair conditioner comprised of only eight ingredients. Committed to sustainable beauty, Tammy set herself the mission of building a refillable beauty business. Listen in to her story and discover how small indie beauty brands can play their part in the circular economy too.

From 1990-2000 every game played between Florida and Florida State was a matchup of top-10 teams. The rivalry featured two Hall of Fame coaches in FSU's Bobby Bowden and Florida's Steve Spurrier, dozens of star players and numerous memorable games – including a Sugar Bowl that decided the national championship. On this week's AP Top 25 Podcast, Ralph Russo looks back at the rivalry that helped make the Sunshine State the epicenter of college football with two sports writers who covered it. Pat Dooley from WRUF in Gainesville was a longtime columnist covering the Gators during the Spurrier Era. Jim Henry, currently the sports editor for the Tallahassee Democrat, chronicled the Bowden Dynasty for the paper. Dooley and Henry discuss each side of a rivalry that for a decade helped crown a national champion.Email the show at APTop25mailbag@gmail.com.

It would have created an important precedent for the world but for now, Wall Street has escaped. Many organizations use data center colocation providers to complement or even replace traditional on -premises data centers. When choosing a provider, the IT team typically looks for sound infrastructure, strong physical security, ample bandwidth and other technical fundamentals. But they may overlook a factor that my guest believes is just as important: compliance. Colocation providers who are certified compliant with a broad set of standards and regulations offer customers peace of mind that their equipment and data receive the highest quality of support and protection. But not all colocation providers are alike when it comes to compliance. Keeping up with changing regulations and audits is time-consuming and expensive, so some vendors support more standards than others. Not since John Chapman introduced apple trees to large swaths of the U.S. and Canada – earning the nickname Johnny Appleseed – has one man on his own done so much to introduce a thriving agriculture industry to North America. Indeed, Jim Henry may well go down in history as Jim Oliveseed, because he single-handedly can claim credit for seeding the commercial olive industry in the United States – and Texas, in particular. Jim is the owner and founder of Texas Olive Ranch, which was the first U.S. commercial producer of high quality olive oils and today struggles to keep up with demand for its growing line of products. Host and reputation coach Dean Rotbart shares the unique tale of the Texas Olive Ranch with all due credit to Wizard Academy graduate, Lem Lewis, aka The Ranch Broker, who conducted the interview. This is an abridged version of Lem’s interview with Jim Henry. To hear the full interview, visit http://www.ranchcast.com/. I met Jim Henry at dinner tonight. I learned he is the author of a book called "After Diagnosis: LIFE" so I asked if he wanted to help me out on today's episode since time was getting short and I still had to pack and hit the road for the third leg of my two week journey. I asked: Would he be interested in saying a little something for my podcast episode. Having only just met me, he amazingly agreed! After dinner we found a quiet place to record and here is what he shared. Stay tuned for Part 2! We'll plan on next month. :) If you can't wait and want to know more about Jim visit The Life Givers Network at www.tlgn.org

In spite of those words being echoed in court every day, criminal trials are often anything but a search for the truth. The court may be the trier of fact, but often facts are like Legos; they can be assembled in many ways to create different objects and stories. Russ Baker and the team at WhoWhatWhy have been working for years to try and assemble those facts in a way that gives us some objective truth, in the story of the brothers Tsarnaev and the Boston Marathon bombing. Russ Baker and Jim Henry talk to Jeff Schechtman in this week's RadioWHO podcast, to provide some context with which to observe the balance of the trial and the process the facts and evidence.
