We discussed the fantastic and potential match of the year candidate match between ADCC -88 kg Champion Giancarlo Bodoni and Fabricio Andrey; with Fabricio being able to take the victory despite giving up over 11 kg in both his first round and second round matches.  We also discussed some other matches on the card including Rosa Walsh black belt debut kneebar submission. In the recap of WNO Night of Champions we discussed all of the exciting matches in the men's  featherweight and welterweight tournaments we talked about Keith Krikorian taking on Baby Shark Diogo Reis and a phenomenal match we also discussed Jay Rodriguez taking on Mica Galvão and Jay Rodriguez's fantastic armbar defense being on display again.  We discussed the match between Andrew Tackett and PJ Barch in a master class in how to use pace as a weapon,  and the unfortunate injury that Andrew suffered that took him out of the finals match.   We also discussed the finals match featuring late replacement PJ Barch taking on Micael Galvão and the unfortunate headbutt flash knockout that Barch suffered followed by a flying armbar from Galvão.   We discussed the rematch between Elizabeth Clay vs Brianna Set Marie  in a phenomenal women's featherweight title fight, as well as the women's heavyweight title being on the line and being won by Nathiely de Jesus vs Rafaela Guedes.We also recap the main event between Gordon Ryan versus Patrick Gaudio in a phenomenal display of positional control and passing.   We also discussed the very interesting grip break that Gordon used to finish the arm bar and the arm bar instructional that he dropped as part of his marketing campaign associated with the match.In the outro for the show we briefly discussed ADCC North American Trials 2023 and doing some event coverage associated with the event.Recorded 10-2-2023

This week on the show Maine and Josh preview Gordon Ryan versus Patrick Gaudio for the Heavyweight Championship on WNO 20 Night of Champions  Plus we preview the Polaris Absolute GP and recap Enigma Invitational 13.We kick off the show with the previews discussing The previous match between Gordon Ryan and Patrick gaudio back in 2018 and why it's probably not that relevant nowadays anyway we discussed some of the recent activity of Gordon  contrasted with that of gaudio in No-Gi  we also discuss the small margin of victory during the first matchup in the IBJJF  prior to heel hooks being added to the organization many years ago we discussed some potential strategies that could be employed during the match and possibly some strategies Gordon might decide to implement based on interviews he's done the leading up to the rematch. In the preview of Rafaela Guedes vs Nathiely de Jesus for the Women's Heavyweight Championship we discuss both women's major victories and possible avenues for Rafaela to retain the title.In Brianna Ste-Marie vs Elisabeth Clay for the Women's 145 lbs Championship,  we talk about their previous match back in 2019 when they were both purple belts and how much like in the main event that's probably not that relevant to this matchup we discussed some of the tactics that clay may use including repeated leg lock attempts that contrasted with Brianna's passing and back taking ability.We also discussed the fantastic men's tournaments, a 170 lb men's welterweight bracket of four featuring some of the most exciting and top-level Grapplers in the sport Mica Galvao, PJ Barch, Andrew Tackett, and Jay Rodriguez.  We talked about Mica  potentially having the most pressure on him going into this and being the one to beat plus we talked about how all of these Grapplers have that something special and ability to turn it on when needed and upset anyone in the bracket.   We talked about everyone's ability to capitalize on very small mistakes and turn anything into a major victory.In the men's 145 lb bracket we talked about some of the rematches that are possible in the tournament we also discussed some of the seating with current ADCC -66kg champion Diogo Reis, Certainly in the FrontRunner position as he takes on Ash Williams, Keith Krikorian, and Gabriel Sousa.  We discussed the recent match between Ash and Keith as well as the match between Keith and Gabriel.  In our preview of Polaris 25 the absolute we discussed The men who have been announced for the bracket including Kaynan Duarte, giancarlo Bodoni, Izaak Mitchell, Jason Rau, Roberto Jimenez, and Fabricio Andre, We discussed some of the first round matchups and possible matchups and broke down why current -99 KG ADCC champion Kaynan may have to be on his toes in his first round matchup vs Rau.  We also discussed some of the announced undercard Grapplers including ADCC European Trials champion Owen Jones. We also reviewed how Deandre Corbre ran through Enigma Invitational and how he used the triangle from the back and armbar combination to finish most of his matches.In the outro section Maine  talks about taking some time off to heal injuries.Recorded 9-25-2023

We also discuss IBJJF and USADA suspending 5 athletes for failed doping tests. In the news section we go through all the suspended athletes and what they were taking.In the recap section of the show we discuss the women's -66kg bracket  on Polaris 23.  Plus the superfight between Chris Weidman vs Owen Livesey that ended with Owen taking a close but exciting decision in one of the best takedown matches we have seen in a long time.  In the stacked Women's bracket we talked about every match. In the QuarterfinalsFfion Davies took a decision over Giovanna Jara on points, this was the only points win in the first two rounds. Elisabeth Clay submitted Joanna Dineva with a great Reverse Triangle after working on it earlier in the match, Amy Campo submitted Julia Maele with a Rear Naked Choke a little more than halfway through the match.  Brianna Ste-Marie submitted Maggie Grindatti with a textbook Armbar after Grindatti escaped one of the deepest non-break Kimura's we have seen ever on the show. In the semifinals Elisabeth Clay submitted Ffion Davies with a Toe Hold in under 3 minutes cementing her slot as one if not the best women's leg locker on the planet.  Amy Campo submitted Brianna Ste-Marie with a Rear Naked Choke almost at the buzzer less than 10 seconds before the end of the match.In the finals we saw Elisabeth Clay beat Amy Campo by one points due to Campo sitting back for a leg and Clay taking top position.  This event was great. We also briefly recapped SOGI and Keith Krikorian match on the card and the heavyweight title match. Recorded 3-12-2023

We also recap the main event of F2W 197.In the News section of the show we discussed Megaton Diaz being awarded his Coral belt by Ralph Gracie.  In the recap section of the show we talked about the main event match between Lucas Lima and Gerson Atoigue on Fight To Win 197.In the preview section of the show we discussed Gordon Ryan vs Jacob couch in Gordon Ryan's first non exhibition super fight in exactly one year.  we talked about a number of areas in the matchup including our thoughts on possible areas and strategies Jacob couch could use in order to take out the king.In our discussion of the Co Main Event we talked about Dante Leon vs Micael Galvao Fresh off of his South American trials run and recent performances in the Gi,  we talked about both Grapplers and their well-roundedness including a recent wrestling tournament that galvao entered.In Nicholas Meregali first no-gi matchup vs Arnaldo Maidana. We talked about Nicholas training with Gordon Ryan and John Danaher at New Wave and how the team would be most likely preparing him to deal with intricate leg locks and a lack of grips.   We also discussed the transition of his game from Gi to No-gi and how this might impact the match. In Haisam Rida vs Elder Cruz We discussed a possibly very difficult style matchup for Rida where Cruise may be able to utilize his wrestling and crushing top pressure possibly being able to force back exposure for Rida.  In Gabriel Sousa vs Keith Krikorian. We talked about the top shapes that Krikorian is in this close to ADCC West Coast Trials where he is registered at the under 66 kg division.  We discussed some recent performances by Gabriel and contrasted them against Keith's recent showings.We also discussed the preliminary matchups on the card including matches featuring Jessica Crane and David Garmo. In our preview of Polaris 19 we discussed the main event match up between Magid Hage and Roberto Jimenez. This week on the show Maine and Josh recap The Fight Pass UFC invitational 1, and CJJ featherweights, Craig Jones Vs Cowboy. In the news section we discuss all of the current entrants into ADCC 2022, including Felipe Pana requesting to move into Gordon Ryan's +99kg division.In the recap section of the show we discuss the CJJ featherweight event that saw Keith Krikorian come out as champ submitting all of his opponents up until the finals where he took an overtime victory over Jordan Holy.  In the main event we discussed Craig Jones versus cowboy that saw Craig Jones play a bit tentatively then open up with a scissor leg take down over the counter then take the back and choke Cowboy. In the recap for the inaugural UFC invitational, we discussed the quintet style format and the number of draws on the event.  We discussed Rafael Lovato junior submission as well as A really interesting violin armlock, and inevitably the decision at the end that saw a team LFA take the championship and $25,000. In the preview section of the show we discussed our end of your showdown that has us bring together all of the best moments in Grappling of 2021, The top 10 matches of the year, breakout performances of the year, Best rookie of the year, biggest upset of the year, and A variety of honorable mentions for the next weeks shows.  Recorded 12-19-2021

This week on the show Maine and Josh recapped the IBJJF 2021 GP, Raw Grappling #1 and previewed Grapplefest 10.  Plus discussed new ADCC rules.In the news section of the show we discussed a new rule for ADCC  that banned spiking and slamming from the backpack position. The Gianni Grippo rule a Maine dubbed it has gone into effect to prevent grave injury of competitors from this position after the slam occurred during the trials last week.  Also in the news section we discussed Troy the Night Pigeon Everett receiving his black belt and how much Troy has done for the show as a support over the years.In the recap section of the show we discussed Raw Grappling first event that featured a Heavyweight tournament we discussed the quarterfinals where Josh Hinger took a close decision win over Bradley Hill, Patrick Gaudio winning a split decision over Thomas Bracher, Taylor Pearman submitting Steven Hill with a calf-slicer, and Yuri Simões defeating Jed Hue on points in the 2 minute overtimeIn the semi finals we talked about Patrick Gaudio defeating Josh Hinger via decision, after a deep heel hook attempt from Hinger, and Yuri Simões defeating Taylor Pearman on points in overtime. In the third place match we discussed a return to form from Josh Hinger that saw him submit Taylor Pearman with a modified guillotine.  In the finals we saw Yuri Simões defeat Patrick Gaudio via a close decision. We also discussed the superfight between Lucas Barbosa and Gerard Labinski that saw Hulk set up a mounted armbar and finish, and Rafael Lovato defeating Adam Wardzinski ina very close match decided on 1 penalty.In the recap of the IBJJF GP we discussed both the middleweight and heavyweight GP. In the Middleweight Final we discussed Tainan Dalpra defeating Jonnatas Gracie with a choke from the back in impressive quick fashion, and Josh picks Dalpra to wins this next months upcoming worlds.  In the Heavyweight Final we discussed the controversy over Victor Hugo Aoki lock finish of Mahamed Aly. We talked about the rules and the finishing mechanics of this particular foot lock, as well as some of the gray area surrounding why this particular submission is so difficult to define in the rules. As part of the event discussion we also broke down the semifinals of both brackets.In the preview section of the show we discussed Grapplefest 10  that features a number of exciting superfights including main event Dante Leon vs Oliver Taza for the under 80 kg interim title belt, the 2021 North American Trials winner at -77 kg Kade Ruotolo taking on the 3 time -66 kg silver medalist Keith Krikorian for the und 70 kg title, Tye Ruotolo vs Nick Ronan at under 77 kg, and Dinu Bucalet vs Pierre-Olivier Leclerc who is coming off an impressive trials performance. We also previewed F2W 188 in Chicago. In the outro section of the show we discussed training and upcoming events.Recorded 11-14-2021

This week on the show Maine Zak and Miranda recap the 2021 ADCC East Coast Trials.We pick up our event recap on day 2 of the ADCC trials after our special on location episode the night after Trials day 1. We recap the round of 16 onward for the men's -66 kg, -77 kg, and -88 kg divisions, and the men's -99 kg and over 99 kg divisions round of 8 and womens under 660 kg and over 60 kg round of 8 that took place on day 2. Kicking it off with the round of -66 division we look at Cole Abate run and eventual championship including his finals match with Keith Krikorian who has now taken 2nd place at the last 3 US trials events, we discussed matches with Gianni Gripp, and Deandre Corbe plus hte rest of the field. In the -77 division we recapped Kade Ruotolo taking the US title over William Tackett, and Kody Steele fantastic run using both his wrestling and cardio as a tool in his matches.  We also talked about Pj Barch back in the mix at the top also showing why -7 is such a tough division. In -88 we discussed Giancarlo Bodoni being a division frontrunner and taking the entire division over El Monstro Elder Cruz, plus Jacob Couch fantastic showing at the event, and some great moments between him and John Salter during their 3rd place match. In -99 we saw Mason Fowler taking the trials title against Devhonte Johnson in the finals, plus  Paul Ardila taking the third place in the division, we also discussed some of the divisions controversy and rules in the -99 kg division discussion. In +99 Kg we talked about how John Hansen had one of the best trials runs in recent history with his 29 second submission in the finals over Damon Ramos, and an overall powerful showing this weekend.  Plus discussed Beach wrestler Danny Chaid and Alex Grandy in the 3rd place match.In the womens -60 Kg division we discussed Brianna Ste-Marie taking the US trials title over Alexandria Enriquez in the finals and the fantastic weekend performances of both Fatima Kline, and Jasmine Rocha during the event. In womens +60 we discussed the tools in Kendall Reusing, tha saw her out point the submission hunter Amy Campo in the finals, as well as Lauren Jones 3rd place, and the pressure game of Khadijah Peek.In the outro the hosts talked about the event overall, holidays and the need for a bit more sleep.Recorded 11-8-2021

This week on the show Maine and Zak recap BJJ Bet 2 Whos Next,Fight to Win 179 and preview the Emerald City Invitational 2, Fight to Win 180 and Polaris Squads 3.In the news section of the show we discussed the formation of the B-Team in Austin Texas featuring half of the broken up members of the Danaher Death Squad we also discuss Gordon Ryan and John starting their own School in Austin tx.In the recap section of the show we kick it off talking about the main event featuring Hulk and Leandro Lo.  We discussed the speed in which Hulk initiated the takedowns on Leandro and the hard take down that allowed him to secure back mount and a rear naked choke.  We also discussed the semifinals of the event featuring exciting matchups between Lucas “Hulk” Barbosa and Mauricio Oliveira that saw Hulk go hard for the finish on an arm-triangle choke,  getting the tap almost instantly after changing the angle.  We also talked about Leandro Lo and William Tackett and the rib injury that Tackett had been dealing with.  In the first round we talked about all of the matchups including Leandro Lo dominant overtime victory against Rafael Paganini on points.  We discussed the contrast in Old School vs new school leg lock styles in William Tackett vs Rousimar “Toquinho” Palhares that saw the young American take a clean points victory over the ADCC vetran.  Plus the veteran game planning that saw Mauricio Oliveira defeat Micael Galvao on points. This week on the show Maine and Miranda preview The Road To ADCC 2022 we also recap Fight 2 Win 176 and Big Deal Pro 3 plus a brief preview of Submission Underground 25 (SUG 25) and Quintet Fight Night 7 Tokyo.In the news section of the show we discussed Craig Jones dropping out of the road to ADCC  due to a broken hand and being replaced by William Tackett in his match versus Hulk.  We also briefly discussed some additional ADCC related news from the most recent Instagram live streams. In the recap section of the show we discussed the results of Fight 2 Win 176  headlined by Junny Ocasio vs Carlos Oliveira that saw Junny  take a decision victory over Carlos.  We also discussed the close in passing work of Gustavo Batista vs Tex Johnson, that saw Batista secure a pass late and earn the decision victory over Tex.  We also discussed a number of other matches on the card, including Hunter Colvin and Troy Everett.  In our recap of big deal Pro 3 we discussed the heavyweight tournament that saw a close contested finals match between Erberth Santos and Anderson Munis.  Ultimately resulting in Anderson taking the victory on advantages at the very end of the match.   We discussed a number of the super fights on the card including Bianca Basilio victory over Dulce Rosenthal via a Modified bow and arrow choke from the back. Erich Munis balloon sweep to armbar of Leonardo Lemos.  A very close foot lock battle between Isaque Bahiense and Servio Tulio, Leandro Lo edging out Henrique Ceconi on advantages.  Plus Mahamed Aly defeating Pedro Alex.In our preview of The Road To ADCC 2022 we discussed every single match on the card, The champion versus Champion match of Kaynan Duarte vs Matheus Diniz taking place at openweigh.  Nicky Ryan vs Dante Leon a match sure to be full of surprises given these stylistic matchup and familiarity with Dante and the DDS camp.  A wild under 66 kg match between number one ranked Mikey Musumeci taking on ADCC vetran Geo Martinez who is no stranger to the rules.  We discussed late replacement William Tackett vs Lucas "Hulk" Barbosa at -88kg, A rematch of a fight we saw on Subversiv 4. Ana Carolina Vieira vs Elisabeth Clay in a woman's +60kg matchup.  Plus Roberto Jimenez taking on Andrew Wiltse, In a phenomenal ADCC  up-and-comer match up in the rule set.We also briefly preview quintet Fight Night 7 featuring 4 japan-based teams competing on Tuesday night.  In our preview of submission underground 25, we looked at the 3 biggest matches on the card Pedro Marinho vs Andy Varela, Jeremy Kennedy vs Edwin Najmi, and Keith Krikorian vs joey Mckay. In the outro section Maine discussed a surgery follow up and Miranda discussed Pittsburgh Recorded 6-12-2021

In our recap of the BJJ Fanatics Grand Prix, we run through some of the round of 16 matches quarterfinal matches Between Tex Johnson and William Tackett and the matches controversy and talk about the semi finals match between Lucas Hulk Barbosa and Kody Steele that showcased an impressive lift from Steele with a veteran reversal from Barbosa. Then in the finals we talk about Kyle Boehm vs Hulk and how good Kyle is at the EBI overtime. Plus we do some BJJ payout math regarding how much Kyle has made from the rule set recently and speculate on what his DVD will be on. In a recap of the Finishers Sub Only 10 we talk about the men’s 185 pound bracket and the women’s 105 pound bracket. With Adam Leve looking impressive but running into Alan Sanchez in the finals with Sanchez taking the victory. In the women’s bracket Maine and Josh are impressed by Grace Gundrum mounted modified guillotine finish in regulation that earned her the win in the finals and her Brown Belt. We also talk about a few of the super fights on the card. In the preview section we kick it off with Spyder Championship 2019. With the -76 kg bracket and the -100 kg bracket. In the first round quarterfinal matchups we see a rematch between Johnatha Alves vs Shane Jamil Hill-Taylor, a matchup between Edwin Najmi vs Matheus Gabriel, on the left side of the bracket. On the right side of the bracket we see Gabriel Arges vs Levi Jones , and Matheus Lutes vs Inseong Jang the hosts make their picks on how they think the bracket will shake out and who they think the frontrunner for the event in the bracket is. In the -100 Kg division Maine and Josh talk about Tim Spriggs drawing the short straw vs Nicholas Meregali, and what version of Erberth Santos will show up vs Claudio Calasans, on the right side of the bracket Kaynan Duarte vs Leandro Lo, in a rematch from earlier this year, and the events X factor grappler returns to the Gi once again in Rodolfo Vieira vs Anderson Munis. On Grapple Fest 7 we preview Craig Jones Vs.Adam Wardzinski for the -100 kg title and how we think the two styles will matchup. Then we talk about a match sure to bring action in Dante Leon Vs Marcos Tinoco. Tye and Kade Ruotolo also make appearances on this card at different weights. Plus ADCC 3rd place medalist Elvira Karppinen is featured as well. Fresh off BJJ Fanatics Jason Rau also has a matchup on the card that we talk about. In our preview of Fight to Win 132 in Hawaii we talk about the matches that had been announced at the time of recording Garry Tonon vs Davi Ramos and how both want to push a pace. Plus the time difference this event will be at and when you can watch it. In the preview of Grappling Idiots we take a look at the 170 pound bracket and taking about how impressed we were with William Tackett this weekend and how he might be very tough to beat this coming weekend. As wells the rubber match between Keith Krikorian who was also in the BJJ Fanatics event but will be facing Daniel Miara in the hybrid rule set. After that we have an interview with the Grappling Idiots promoter Matt Kaplan where he talks about the rules and why they were chosen and shares some insight on sanctioning and how he intends to run the PPV. This week on the show we have three hosts on Maine Miller, Emil Sandoz-Rosado and Josh Weinstock. On the week before the big show; ADCC 2019, the Olympics of our sport the every two years celebration of the highest level of professional grappling in the world. Before we get into the preview we run through the weeks news the ADCC replacements, who has dropped out from the event and who is replacing. We talk about the UAEJJF partner with FloGrappling going into 2020, which should make it even easier for us to cover their events on the Podcast. Plus we talk about Josh being internet famous ending up as a member of the Valhalla Club on BJJ Scout Instagram. Kicking off the recap section of the show we recap Fight to Win 126 in San Diego, we talk about this Black Belt stacked card. We break down Gustavo Batista vs Felipe Bezerra, Guthierry Barbosa defeating Marcio Andre in a very close match. Baret Yoshida in his outstanding performance and choke From back crucifix, taking about some of the nuances of the position changes that lets him get to his signature position. We talk about Joel Tudor returning to competition and his grinding old school style armbar. Then we get into a fast paced match between Ronaldo Junior and Matheus Luna that earned Fight of the night honors and a mid mat discussion from Seth Daniels. We break down some amazing back and forth between Sergio Rios and PJ Barch and a submission of the night armbar performance. We also talk about Gabrielle Mc Comb vs Tubby Alequin, and the second fight of the night on the card in Johnny Tama vs Kevin Berbrich. This was a great card and deserves to be re-watched. After that we get into the recap of the Shugyo Invitational Episode 6 that was the last episode of the show before the finals are announced we talk about Josh Bacallao Versus Max Rohskopf and talk about how tight the Darce from Max must be, then the rematch of ADCC North American East Coast Trials match between Ethan Crelinsten and Keith Krikorian that might have had one of the realest post fight interviews we have ever seen in BJJ. We talk about the transition and way that Ethan goes for the back and other grapplers in ADCC that might implement this same style of taking the back. Plus talk about who we think might be in the finals of this weeks episode. After that we move into our preview of ADCC 2019 in anticipation of being live at the event in a few days. We run through the top contenders in the -66, -77, -88, -99, and +99 Kg for the men’s divisions and Emil busts out the statistics on who has beaten and lost to each other in their respective divisions. As well as some of the X-Factors going into each of the men’s divisions. The we talk about how stacked the woman's -60kg and over 60kg divisions are and the respective frontrunners for each division. Can Gabi Garcia continue her dominance of the +60kg division or will we see turn over at the top We talk about how Craig Jones may be a favorite in his division with the recent division changes. How Gordon may be the favorite in his division since moving up. Plus all the other top grapplers in each division. After that we have an interview with King of the Mats Grappling ahead of their 7th event. Talking about some of the grapplers on their card and their event format as well as their 10k payout. In the news segment Maine and Josh talk about some interesting superfight news regarding Ultimate Mat Warriors, and Finishers Sub only 10. We talk black belt promotions, and get into the craziness of ADCC 2019. In our preview of ADCC 2019 we take a look at the -66 kg division We talk about all the movement in the division and currently what the division looks like. We talk about some of the dark horses and some of the divisions stand out grapplers, that round out the -66 kg division. In the -77 kg division we do much of the same and talk about the addition of Dante Leon. The speculation continues for the rest of the men’s divisions -88, -99 and +99 where we talk about the movement of Yuri up and his potential wresting matchups available in that division. After that we talk about the woman’s -60kg division and returning 2017 champ Beatriz Mesquita, as well as the other power houses in the division. In the new section we talk about how Rafael Lovato Jr took the belt from Gegard Mousasi as well as Meregali and his post fight call out to Keenan looking for a rematch.In the recap for Third Coast Grappling we go through the top matches on the card breaking down the loop choke that Mergali hit on Cyborg. We talked about Craig Jones, Matheus Diniz, and the potential ADCC match later this year between Vagner Rocha and Ethan Crelinsten. We also break down the Edwin Najmi vs Gianni Grippo match, and talk about Gilbert "Durinho" Burns victory. In the recap for SACG the hosts talk about what it was like to do commentary for SAGC Redemption in college park Maryland. We talk about the three man commentary team of Maine, Emil, and Josh. In a true miracle managing not to curse for nearly 4 hours straight. We talk about the unique SAGC endurance format, plus go through some of our top matches on the card. We run through the undercard matches, then move into teh 10 man 155 pound bracket that ended up with 2 contenders that are scheduled to face off for the best at SACG 8. After that we move into the preview section of the show talking about Fight to Win 117 being headlined by Kaynan Duarte of Atos vs Gutemberg Perreira of GFT, always exciting Baret Yoshida vs Marcus Norat, and some of the top woman's competitors in the world Jena Bishop vs Luiza Monteiro. On this weeks show we have a packed news section as Maine and Josh kick the show off really professional. Both the hosts this week are running on very little sleep due to the action packed weekend of events; so this episode you get lots of raw and unfiltered podcast hosts letting loose. After the news section we get into the recaps kicking the show off with our recap of the craziness that was BJJ Stars BlackBelt Edition. We talk about Erberth Santos having a knee injury then suddenly not having a knee injury and then running into the crown Malice at the Palace style to attack Penas Brother. After that we get into the actual sport BJJ segments of the show for BJJ Stars, and talk about some of the seasoned Brazilian Jiu Jitu veterans that were on the card. Josh gives some interesting history about many of the top guys features on this event from another era. After that we get in the Combat Jiu Jitsu (CJJ) fight night card featuring 135 pound bantamweight tournament and an absolute bracket along with some interesting superfights. Josh goes deep into what he thinks leads to a good palm strike, and Main discusses what he likes and dislikes about the ruleset. Then we move across the ocean to to our recap of GrappleFest 4, featuring Craig Jones, Lachlan Giles, and more in an exciting UK event. We talk about how good Craig Jones looks and how its nice to see him working from a top position successfully. Plus a few other stand out matches on the card. After all that we get into the recap of the Finishers Invitational 8, presented by Show the Art X. Maine and Rachael got to go to this event live to cover it in person the day of the show recording so we were very excited to talk about the event atmosphere, and how nice everyone at the event was, as well as some outstanding matches, and a great 145 pound tournament. We go deep into ADCC trials stand out Nick Rodriguez's preparation highlighted mostly by "Just going and doing stuff" much to Maines amazement. Then get into all the action that was the 145 pound bracket, looking at stand outs Keith Krikorian, and Frank Rosenthal, and more. Then we get into previews for Fight to Win 103 headlined with a number of title bouts, and outstanding competitors Gutemberg Pereira, and Tomoyuki Hashimoto, plus over 30 other matches in Houston. After that we get into a preview for Sub Spectrum 7 featuring a title bout between Matt Leighton vs Tex Johnson, plus stand outs Keith Krikorian vs John Battle in a matchup that both Maine and Josh are excited for after seeing both grapplers win this weekend. We then preview Midwest Finishers inaugural event with even more midwest action featuring Nick Ronan, Jordan Holy, the Tacket brothers, Alex Hodi, and more. This event featured a 155 pound tournament under the EBI format. Our final preview of the week we take a look at the stacked Spyder Korea qualifier event, featuring a under 76kg bracket and an over 100kg bracket. We recap King of the Mat Grappling Championship 4, The Kings Crown, in an exciting open weight showcase, really great matches on the whole event, we see stand out Dante Leon and an entire bracket of exciting grapplers on this event. After that we Recap Fight to Win 94 in Richmond California (Not Virginia as Maine initially says) headlined by Tim Sprigs, and Yuri Simoes, tons of great Cali action on this card, and a number of title bouts on the card as well. Then we get into the Gamblers Invitational Presented by Sapateiro, previously (Sapateiro Invitational 18) with Keith Krikorian, and Mike Padilla, in an exciting bracket with some more great matches. Finally in the previews section of the show we preview GrappleFest 3, main evented by Daniel Strauss versus, Matheus Diniz, and co-main event Ross Nicholls vs. Gianni Grippo. This week is a massive show we recaps of GrappleFest2 with Craig Jones vs Matheus Diniz and tons of other superfights. Then we get into the Onnit Invitational 9 where we look at Frank Vs. Ricky Lule, PJ Barch and Keith Krikorian and the rest of the 170, and 155-pound brackets. We talk about Gordon F Ryan III 2018 IBJJF No-Gi Pans domination in New York this weekend. Plus Maine learns how to pronounce New York names from Emil. Then we get into the recap of F2W 86 in Seattle Washington, and some great finishes on the card. Then after all the BJJ has been recapped we touch on the halfway of the Aki Basho for Sumo. We have all three Yokozuna in this Basho and they all look pretty good thus far. After all that we preview SUBVERSIV, which looks to be a barnburner. Plus a bunch of Fight to Win style matchups as well. Then we preview the King of Mats 3. We also briefly touch on Men of War 3. On this weeks show since Josh is out in Colorado, so we have two special guest Hosts Ryan Stark and Emil Sandoz-Rosado in the studio to help break down the weeks action. On this weeks show we recap Kasai Pro 3 and talk about the 170 pound round robin tournament. Vagner Rocha smacking folks with collar ties, wrist locks and more, plus get into the fantastic performance from Canuto. Then we get into the superfights on the card, talk about AJ and his antics, Rousimar Palhares missing weight and generally being a terrifying individual. Jon Calestines leg game, in his match with Grippo, and more. Then we get into Fight to Win 84 in Chicago where we saw Matt Leighton put on a stellar performance against Dante Leon, we talk walk outs and other interesting matches on the card. Then we recap the Main card of the Finishes Sub Only 6 from last week talk about Keith Krikorian, and his recent domination of regional sub only events at brown belt, and more great matches from the event. After that we talk a little about worlds masters and what days to catch which divisions. Big thanks to Ryan and Emil for helping out with this episode of the show, both guys are people that we have had help us with production on the back end of the show for some time now and they fit right in to the show.
