But a recent study projected skyrocketing legal cannabis sales in Louisiana in the coming years. To meet this growing demand, Louisiana State University is now offering four online medical cannabis education programs in partnership with Green Flower, a leader in legal marijuana education. Max Simon, CEO of Green Flower, joins us for more on these programs and the growth of cannabis education nationwide. To learn more about this history-making draft, Louisiana Considered's Managing Producer Alana Schreiber spoke with The Advocate's LSU baseball and football reporter, Leah Vann. Max Simon was a closeted cannabis user since his teen years. But it wasn't until years later, when he got into the cannabis education business, that he understood the reason he had been so drawn to it all those years was because it was helping his ADHD.“It's an interesting thing to realize that you've tried and experimented with all the ‘accepted therapies' and they've been damaging,” Simon said on The Cannabis Enigma podcast, “and the one that's been most effective and supportive has been the most demonized.”Simon discusses how that process played out, how he found the dose and regimen that works for him, and what exactly cannabis does for him as someone with ADHD.Today, Max Simon is the founder and CEO of Green Flower, a cannabis education company that offers training programs for employees for some of the biggest companies in the industry, online courses for people who want to work in cannabis, and programs in partnerships with 10 colleges and universities across the United States. In this episode, Simon and host Michael Schaeffer Omer-Man discuss how to ensure that medical and adult-use patients have access to the best and latest information out there, how to get them that information in dispensaries, and the role that companies like Green Flower can play. The Cannabis Enigma is a co-production of The Cannigma and Americans for Safe Access. He is an advocate for the benefits of the plant. In the early 2000's, Max came across a unique opportunity to work with Deepak Chopra, developing the products side of his business where he created around 50 products, worked on his digital strategy, online channels and developed his brand. He reached hundreds of millions of people through online and offline methods. This gave him the opportunity to bring an idea (mind body principles and meditation) to the masses which was previously misunderstood and not necessarily backed by science. Max sees cannabis in the same way, and draws parallels between the two experiences. One of the reasons that cannabis has become so popular is that the benefits have continued to gain momentum and traction as an effective tool for pain, sleep, anxiety, depression, and stress.Secondly, cannabis is starting to become preferable over alcohol due to its positive properties. Alcohol only has one delivery method (drinking), it has been shown to cause health problems, addictions and it is a neurotoxin. Whereas cannabis can be consumed in multiple ways, has neuro protective qualities, can be used both socially and medically.Green Flower Media serves a number of audiences with different cannabis education products including a streaming subscription service, and an online training platform for different sectors of the space including medical application trainings and cultivation trainings.Max is incredibly fascinated by the health and wellness benefits which cannabis brings and believes that a lot of the world is suffering due to stress, lack of purpose or pain. He believes that these ailments can be ‘almost entirely' solved by cannabis once how to use it properly is understood. The Green Flower Academy's biggest success stories come from people who have come into the cannabis industry from other professions. Their sector specific learning facilitates this. The Green Flower Academy are also working with colleges in the USA to power cannabis curriculums around the topics of law and horticulture which will launch in 2020.Due to the different ways in which cannabis markets have developed throughout the world, Max estimates that 80% of Green Flower

Kylie Slavik is a visionary digital marketer and brand story consultant whose focus is transforming the “global story” from disempowerment, disconnection, and lack... to empowerment, abundance, and unity consciousness. She executes this vision through writing story based ads, seen by hundreds of millions of people online, as well as training the next generation of visionaries to speak their stories. Her aim in both tracks is to create alternative narratives to the disempowering stories told for centuries, keeping people from remembering who they truly are. Her innovation in the online advertising industry comes from decades as a performance or “slam” style poet, where an artist gets 3 minutes to transform the heart of an audience, inspire them to see the world through different eyes, or to feel an emotion they weren't feeling when they walked into the room. But she grew to realize that performance poetry was limited in it's reach, and often felt like she was “preaching to the choir.” After a serious talking to by a Cherokee Medicine Woman she embraced her calling as an entrepreneur and translated her storytelling skill into online marketing campaigns. Shortly after setting that intention she became the Content Marketer and Strategic Partnerships Manager of Max Simon, son of Dr. David Simon, Chopra Center Co-Founder. She was introduced into Max's world and managed collaborations between his team at Big Vision Business, and teams such as Brian Tracy, Bob Proctor, John Assaraf, Mark Victor Hansen, Mindvalley, Mind Movies, Darius Barazandeh, Arielle Ford and more. She was quickly recruited to other teams and started to explore paid traffic. Her first online traffic campaign generated $2.5 Million dollars in 12 weeks in collaboration with Gina DeVee and her first Academy launch. Kylie's extremely unusual ad ROI (up to 2000%) attracted the attention of Mike Hill, President at one of the top agencies for online traffic and she currently writes ads for all his clients at Ascension Media. The agency spends approximately $1,000,000 per month in online media buying across the Facebook and Google Ad Networks. Kylie brings her passion and extensive knowledge of spirituality into her online marketing and attributes much of her success to her deep connection to multiple spiritual lineages. She has traveled and studied with many Sufi Murshids and Murshidas, has been adopted by Maori elders who she has hosted in her home to share their lineage with the public multiple times, Tibetan elders, Hindu seers, Qigong Masters, and many awake beings, known and unknown. She serves as a bridge between the awakening world, and the rapidly evolving digital media landscape. In her spare time you can still find her writing and performing poetry, running on the beach, or talking to dolphins!
