Ninja Gaiden Black set the standard for high-speed, brutally challenging action games, but Ninja Gaiden 2 Black aimed to take things even further with more weapons, bigger enemies, and an overhauled combat system. But does this sequel refine the formula, or does it stumble under the weight of its own ambitions? In this episode, we break down how Ninja Gaiden 2 Black compares to its legendary predecessor. The combat is faster and bloodier than ever, with a limb dismemberment system that changes how fights play out, forcing you to adjust tactics on the fly. The visuals have seen a clear upgrade, with improved animations and larger environments, but at what cost? The game pushes its engine to the limit, and with that comes some performance struggles and occasional janky camera angles that make certain fights more frustrating than they should be.We also discuss the changes in level design, enemy variety, and difficulty balancing—does Ninja Gaiden 2 Black feel fair, or does it veer into cheap territory? And of course, the biggest question: is this still a must-play today, or does the original Ninja Gaiden Black still reign supreme?Join us as we slash through the highs and lows of this action-packed sequel and decide—should you pass, or is this still worth a run?

Capcom to Use Generative AI to Create Thousands of 'Ideas' Needed for Game Dev - IGN Daily Fix

In today's Daily Fix:A technical director for Capcom has created a program that uses generative AI to create "ideas." No, it's not exactly what you think; in this case, Capcom wants to use Ai to help create objects for game works, such as televisions, chairs, etc. Thousands of objects potentially need to be created for any given game, and each one would need to go through its own approval process, and Capcom wants to streamline that instead of having someone make each by hand. Game design, character design, story, and other elements would still be left in the hands of a real human. In other news, the January Xbox Developer Direct revealed a brand new Ninja Gaiden and a remaster of an old one. Ninja Gaiden 4 is due sometime this year, while the remake Ninja Gaiden Black 2 is available right now. And finally, Final Fantasy 7 Remake part 3 finally has a story, and Square Enix confirmed the game will NOT be PlayStation-exclusive...eventually.

All of the Day is back again! This week, Cheston gets to experience fatherhood for a second time by welcoming in his second child! Derek played the classic Ninja Gaiden Black and Setzer is still beating the Red Dead Redemption 2 drum...which he might be doing for a while yet. In the news, NF...just kidding, no NFT news this week! Yay! But we do talk about microtransactions in Halo again and Microsoft wishing for a way to universally ban problematic people. It should be noted that this episode was recorded BEFORE the Microsoft/Activision mega acquisition so that is not mentioned at all. The topic of Roblox and monetizing children is also broached. Just what everyone wanted, adult men talking about Roblox! For this week's little game, we have fun with IGN's Top 100 games list. Could we do better? Not likely. For years now, backwards compatibility has been a feature staple within Microsoft’s line of gaming hardware, and with the newest console generation underway, it seems that isn’t slowing down, including the addition of backwards compatible titles heading to the xCloud streaming service. But while it’s a nice feature for fans of the ecosystem to have, one thing Microsoft may be doing is helping the industry with an issue that many have worries in: game preservation. This week, we explore Microsoft’s newest additions to the xCloud service, and why the preservation of original Xbox and Xbox 360 titles is something that Microsoft seems to be getting ahead of to avoid potentially putting their IP at historical risk down the road. Also, the original source code for Ninja Gaiden Black may be lost forever, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare gets a surprising new update, a new line of headphones for your Series X costs as much as the system, and much more, coming up on the newest episode of the Game Pass Gamecast!
