In today's world it's more important than ever for artists to be interdisciplinary. Samantha Togni, an internationally-renowned DJ, producer and promoter, who has she played headline sets in super-clubs from Tokyo to Los Angeles. The last few years in particular have seen the rising star land coveted support slots for the likes of Paula Temple and Ancient Methods. Togni has also shared stages with everyone from Slam, Magda, Miss Kittin, Lady Starlight, always experimenting with and adapting her sound to electrify any audience. Her previous tracks quickly racked up support from Adidas Originals, which playlisted one of her song in its stores, as well as press outlets including Dazed Korea, Mixmag, Red Bull and DJ Mag (printed) Wonderland and Soundcloud described Togni as “the DJ to watch”. MAXX ROSSI (Polymeric, Involve, Primate, Planet Rhythm) London/UK Having cut his cloth in the London underground party scene, Maxx quickly cemented his reputation as a technically accomplished DJ with an ear for quality, genre - transcending techno. He then went on to headline and play parties in most of the major cities around Europe and beyond, with gigs booked as far as the USA and Thailand in 2019. A formally trained piano player, and with a diploma in Music Technology and Sound Engineering, Maxx runs his own label Polymeric Records, works as Label Manager for Molecular Recordings, owned by Marco Lenzi, and he worked for 6 years as Label Manager for Austrian label Carbon Audio. He recently quit this position to concentrate on the work for Molecular Recordings. All of these labels are available on vinyl, as MAXX is still making a point of supporting the media. As a matter of facts, he still plays vinyl at his gigs. Born in the UK and based in Berlin, Cressida's sound is a cross-pollination of these two sonic spectrums - the rhythmic, dystopian force of Techno fused with a sound embedded in various points of the UK Hardcore Continuum Cressida marked his first release “Salvation“ EP on Nur Jaber's OSF label and tracks on compilations for both Dax J's Monnom Black and Mord in 2018. After two more EPs on Voitax he contributed a track to the Midnight Shift x Voitax collab LP in late 2020. Manchester based DJ and promoters Blasha & Allatt join us for a chat about the music industry and their background promoting and playing a growing number of parties in the UK and internationally. The duo, who has been developing a strong bond in working together for years, share their passion for music and experience about the natural ups and downs of the creator’s journey. Blasha & Allatt were first introduced to each other by a common friend. They almost instantly enjoyed playing records together and started DJing back-to-back. Eventually with an extended group of friends, they started Meat Free, a well respected regular event in Manchester, that allowed them to host artists such as Ben Sims, Haai, Surgeon, Hector Oaks, Nur Jaber, Sunil Sharpe, Claire Morgan, Manni Dee, Dr Rubinstein… and many more. Bis dato nur selbst als interessierte Zuhörerin auf regionalen und überregionalen Veranstaltungen, wurden im Jahr 2015 befreundet DJ’s und Veranstalter aus ihrem Umfeld, insbesondere dem ehemaligen Kasseler Club ‚Das Erste Mal‘ auf ihr großes Interesse, sowie das schlummernde Potenzial aufmerksam und nahmen sie prompt an dieHand, um ihr das Mixen beizubringen. Die ersten Gigs ließen nicht lange auf sich warten und so bekam sie nach dem Ausscheiden ihrer alten Homebase „Das Erste Mal“ eine Residency beim Kasseler Club ARM, welcher sie bis heute neben weiteren regionalen und überregionalen Gigs nachgeht. Jedes ihrer Sets erzählt seine eigene Story und zielt darauf ab, eine bestimmte Stimmung herzustellen. Ihr Sound ist ebenso dystopisch wie durchschlagskräftig. Inspiriert von Labels wie Sandwell District, Semantica oder Blueprint, nur um einige zu nennen, zählen zu Ihren Einflüssen sowohl Ambient, als auch Detroit und industrial Techno. Selten bleibt es beim bloßen 4/4-Takt. Neben dem ARM ist ihr musikalisches zu Hause die erfolgreiche Kasseler Veranstaltungsreihe „SINE“, die aus einem Teil der ehemaligen „nüchtern.“-Reihe entstand und es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht hat, intelligenten Techno nach Kassel zu holen. Hier hatte sie bereits die Chance neben vielen internationalen Szenegrößen wie Keith Carnal, Dax J, Nur Jaber, Markus Suckut uvm. zu spielen.
