Stasi is happy to welcome back Liz Wright — best-selling author, international speaker, and CEO and Founder of the International Mentoring Community — whose life is a beautiful testimony of profound transformation because of the love of Christ. Today's conversation is a divine invitation. Jesus is calling us into rest — not just as a moment of pause, but as a way of continually living in Him. Together, they unpack the power of trusting Jesus and the freedom that comes when we surrender and believe. May your heart be drawn closer to Him as you receive the rest He so freely gives!…..SHOW NOTES:…..VERSES: Psalm 62:1 (NIV) – Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.Jeremiah 6:16 (NIV) – This is what the Lord says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.'Hebrews 4:1-3 (NLT) – God's promise of entering his rest still stands, so we ought to tremble with fear that some of you might fail to experience it. For this good news – that God has prepared this rest – has been announced to us just as it was to them. But it did them no good because they didn't share the faith of those who listened to God. For only we who believe can enter his rest. As for the others, God said, “In my anger I took an oath: ‘They will never enter my place of rest,'” even though this rest has been ready since he made the world.Matthew 11:28 (NLT) – Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.2 Corinthians 3:17 (NLT) – For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.Ephesians 4:23-24 (NLT) – Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God – truly righteous and holy.Philippians 4:19 (NLT) – And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.…..LIZ WRIGHTWebsite: https://lizwright.org/Website: https://www.jointheimc.com/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/lizwrightShow: https://www.god.tv/ministries/liz-wright/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lizwrightministries/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/lizwrightministriesLIZ WRIGHT BIOLiz Wright's story is one of radical transformation. We live in a broken world, and humanity is the most broken and imperfect of all God's creation. The world has a permanent OUT OF ORDER sign on it, and as a result, most of us are looking for answers to our questions, and solutions to our problems, in all the wrong places. We place our trust in ourselves, in shallow standards of beauty, in money, and in our relationships with other people, hoping for meaning and completion we will never find in these sources. We are lost people, following false gods, hoping for the elusive spiritual peace that only God can give us. Our deliverance won't come in the form of a blank check, a beauty treatment, self-empowerment, or even the most fulfilling relationship with a parent, spouse, or child; the fulfillment we seek will come to us only when we choose God, and put Him first. Joshua 24:15 says, “Choose this day whom you will serve. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” For thousands of years, worldly things have called to humanity, offering false promises, and failing to deliver. From the very beginning, and before this world was even created, the one true God was. He is. He always will be. And when we choose Him, He promises to give us lasting hope, peace, and love for all eternity. Nothing in a jar, box, or bank account can come close, and no relationship means more. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, we choose you. Only you are worthy above every false god, above every temptation, above our relationships with people, money, or things. We choose you, and ask you to guide us in putting you first, in all things. Amen.

By Mike Phelps in Ann Arbor, MI, Detroit, MI, Flint, MI - December 19, 2020 - On the eve of Jesus' mock trial and crucifixion, He left these words to His disciples, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you..." (John 14:27). Often in life, we seek to live at peace in the physical relationships we have. But true peace doesn't just involve an absence of conflict with others. True peace also has an emotional and spiritual component to it as well. Each of us battle through the effects of worry, anxiety, and fear in our minds and bodies. The personal peace of everyone has been damaged through sin and wrong living. "Our emotions and thoughts are nothing more than responses to what is happening around us" (Petty, Gary. "The Mercy Effect." p.98). How do work towards having peace in the emotional and spiritual parts of our lives?
Today on the podcast we welcome, Tory Baucum. Tory shares the story of how he went from an Anglican in Washington, DC to a Catholic in Kansas. He also shares what it looks like to seek the flourishing of those around us, no matter where we live.Tory is married to Elizabeth Tyndall Baucum and they have three daughters. In January 2020 he was appointed as the founding Director of the Benedictine Center for Family Life at Benedictine College, an apostolate of Benedictine Abbey. He was also appointed Research Professor of the Carter School of George Mason University where he collaborates with Rabbi Marc Gopin and Bishop Shannon Johnston in the Program of Spiritual Peace building.

Rape is a sexual violation and a sexual violation is the most intimate and arguably the most profound of all violations that a human being could experience. Sexual abuse, in any form, is traumatic and often confusing for the victims. Individuals, who are traumatized, especially at the hands of others, require support, understanding, and validation for what they are experiencing and trying to overcome. Unfortunately for the victims of sexual abuse, there is often a cloak of silence surrounding these issues, making receiving support and validation a difficult task. The Truth - For many individuals, profound traumatic experiences result in painful existential searching. Victims may find themselves preoccupied with difficult questions about existence, good and evil, justice and fairness, spiritual beliefs, faith, and God. Many will and have questioned the very foundation of beliefs they have built their lives upon to this point. This questioning can lead to a sense of being lost and adrift with nothing to trust or believe in. Recovery will be dramatically affected by how well these issues are resolved for the victim. Victims frequently ask questions and struggle with issues that will be discussed at length in this section. The inability, or reluctance, to seek support and validation makes recovery especially difficult for mostr individuals. Over the years, religious communities have been reluctant to broach these topics or help with dealing. The responsibility of ministers and church leaders is great. Religious leaders are often seen as the “mouthpiece of God” and have tremendous power and influence with believers and even to some degree with non-believers. Your reactions are normal and we can tell you for a fact that It's not your fault BUT we are here to help you!!! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/tee-m2/message

Before you answer this question, you probably should ask me: What type of peace am I referring to? Did you know that there are four different types of peace referenced in the bible? Yet the majority of Christians are only aware of one type, and that is Spiritual Peace—which we more commonly refer to as being born again. There are three other types of peace referenced in the bible: There is Obedience Peace, which deals with the peace that is associated with complying with God’s commandments. Simply put: It is impossible to be a successful sinner in God’s Economy. There is also Personal Peace, often referred to as the “peace of God.” This is the type of peace that helps us in our decision-making process. Lastly, there is Peace with Others: This deals with having harmonious relationships with those in close proximity. God desires that we have the all-encompassing peace that is composed of all four. If you only have the first type of peace, you can be on your way to Heaven with hell kicking your butt every step of the way. Unfortunately, far too many Christians stop at Spiritual Peace—many unaware of the three remaining types of peace so critical to their walk with Christian walk.

Transcript: This past weekend I spoke on the topic of attaining the Lord's Peace at the Catholic Women's Conference organized by the Pilgrim Center of Hope in San Antonio. It was such a beautiful experience and I met many women who shared their struggles with interior peace due to many difficult personal and family circumstances. They were very loving and faithful women who needed a little reminder that their suffering is not in vain. Suffering can bear much fruit with our every effort to look beyond our circumstances and gaze into the eyes of Jesus on the Cross. At the conference, I also shared a number of resources that anyone can use to help them learn more about what it takes to receive the gift of the Lord's Peace. Like I mentioned in episode 39, we can't make Peace happen. God has to bestow it upon us if we prepare our souls with genuine love for the Lord. There are so many resources to learn more about acquiring Peace, but after doing extensive research on the topic, here are my top 5, but keep in mind our Holy Bible is above everything so I'm not adding it to the list and chances are, you already have one: Searching for and Maintaining Peace - book by Father Jacques Philippe -Buy it here - https://amzn.to/2mzrxgA Lift up Your Heart: Guide to Spiritual Peace - book by Fulton J.
