After watching the Twin Towers collapse on 9/11, Noah Galloway immediately enlisted in the military at just 21 years old. Three months into his second deployment, an IED exploded, ripping apart the Humvee he was driving and nearly ending his life. He awoke five days later to find both his left arm and left leg amputated. After he finally returned home, he was overcome by a deep depression. When his marriage dissolved and he spent 10 days in county jail for a DUI, he knew he had to turn his life around. Determined to be a good role model for his children, he slowly clawed his way out of depression and into the gym to begin his mental and physical rebirth. His grit and determination began to attract media attention, landing him on the cover of Men's Health Magazine and multiple TV appearances on Ellen, The Today Show, and the military-inspired competition series American Grit. He also earned third place on Dancing With the Stars. In Episode 222 of the Transition Drill Podcast, Ernie Mariscal's story is one that grabs you early and stays with you. It's a journey that speaks to veterans, first responders, and anyone fighting through trauma that started long before adulthood. Growing up with childhood abuse, identity confusion, and fear that controlled every decision, Ernie enlisted in the Army searching for structure, purpose, and a chance to rewrite who he was. What he found was discipline, belonging, pride, and the harsh reality of war. Iraq in 2004 changed him. Losing friends, surviving daily danger, and coming home with invisible wounds pushed him into a fight he never trained for.His transition into civilian life wasn't smooth. It wasn't simple. It wasn't the kind of story that fits into a clean motivational speech. Ernie struggled with drinking, broken marriages, emotional numbness, rage, job instability, and the crushing loss of identity so many veterans and first responders face after service. He went through depression that nearly cost him his life. He slept in his car. He battled medication that numbed him. He felt completely alone. But the turning point came in a simple request to speak to a class of at risk students. Sharing his story cracked something open inside him and gave him purpose again. That moment started a slow, powerful rebuild. He joined Toastmasters, began speaking publicly, and used honesty instead of hiding to help others work through trauma, transition challenges, and the long road back to themselves. Today he's growing a speaking career, building brands around mindset and resilience, and giving people the voice he once needed. This episode walks through Ernie's entire life story, told openly and without filters. It's emotional, gritty, and filled with moments every veteran, every first responder, and every survivor of childhood trauma or war related trauma will understand. It also shows how growth is possible when you refuse to quit on yourself. If you're navigating transition, healing from trauma, or searching for purpose, this conversation will speak to you directly. The best podcast for military veterans, police officers, firefighters, and first responders preparing for veteran transition and life after service. While people around the world mourned President John F. Kennedy after he was assassinated on November 22, 1963, there was a remarkable group of young men who had to perform an unimaginable mission: burying their Commander in Chief. In this episode of The White House 1600 Sessions, White House Historical Association president Stewart McLaurin speaks with James L. Felder, who was a U.S. Army Sergeant when he led the Honor Guard Ceremonial Unit that buried President Kennedy. Felder helped carry and protect the casket of President Kennedy from the moment his body returned from Texas, until the moment he was buried at Arlington National Cemetery on November 25, 1963. It was a solemn burial ceremony, and what took place at the very end could have been lost to history: the members of the Honor Guard, in a powerful, spontaneous gesture of respect, removed their hats and laid them around the wreath that adorned the president's grave. That gesture meant so much to the Kennedy family that they commissioned a sculpture of the wreath and hats with the idea that it would eventually adorn President Kennedy's permanent gravesite. Generations later, it's easy to forget that where President Kennedy rests today in Arlington National Cemetery is actually about 20 feet from his initial burial location of November 1963. The site was moved in 1967 to accommodate the millions of visitors. Stewart speaks with Elinor Crane of Oak Spring Garden Foundation as well as Alan Price, Director of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, about the creation of the memorial wreath that was made but never installed. You won't want to miss hearing the firsthand account from James Felder, to learn about the powerful moment of the Honor Guard removing their hats, and get a special look at pieces from the sculpture.

It's Thursday, August 7th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Adam McManus Pakistani Christian died after years of neglect in prison International Christian Concern reports that a 25-year-old Christian man in Pakistan died last Thursday after years of neglect in prison. When he was 16, Nabeel Masih was accused of posting an image on Facebook, allegedly insulting an Islamic holy site. Police deleted the post, erasing any evidence of what he actually posted. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison, becoming the youngest person convicted of blasphemy against Islam in the country. Pakistan's Supreme Court granted Masih bail in 2020. However, he had already suffered years of neglect, abuse, and lack of medical care, leading to his recent death. Psalm 116:15 says, “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints.” Billy Graham Association helping defend European Christians The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association is extending its legal defense fund to Christians across Europe. Evangelist Franklin Graham started the fund for defending religious freedom in the United Kingdom. This came after he won multiple lawsuits against British venues that cancelled their events. The fund has grown to $1.3 million. Franklin Graham told Fox News Digital, “We took the damages that we won through BGEA's court cases in the U.K., and put those funds into the Billy Graham Defense Fund — a new ‘war chest' to help other Christians in Europe who are threatened or intimidated into silence and not expressing their faith.” Army Sergeant shot 5 co-workers on Georgia Army base Bad news from a U.S. Army base in Georgia. LUBAS: “An active duty soldier assigned to Fort Stewart, Georgia, shot and wounded five of his fellow soldiers here on Fort Stewart. Thankfully, all are in stable condition and all are expected to recover.” That was Brigadier General John Lubas on Wednesday afternoon. The soldier shooter has been identified as Army Sergeant Quornelius Radford, reports The U.S. Sun. Radford, age 28, is in custody after he allegedly opened fire at his workplace at the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team area just before 11:00 am. The base was briefly locked down. Police said they have not learned more about his motive. Here's the good news. LUBAS: “I would also like to thank the brave soldiers who immediately intervened and subdued the shooter. These soldiers, without a doubt, prevented further casualties.” Planned Parenthood closes only two abortion mills in Louisiana Planned Parenthood is closing its only two locations in Louisiana. The abortion giant operated in the state for 40 years previously. Ben Clapper, the executive director of Louisiana Right to Life, told LifeNews, “Effective September 30th, Planned Parenthood will close both its New Orleans and Baton Rouge facilities. What a powerful victory for life. … To each of you who have prayed, volunteered, given, and stood with us—thank you!” With the two closures, Planned Parenthood has closed a total of 40 abortion mills this year. U.S. Health Dept cancels $500 million of mRNA vaccine projects The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced Tuesday that it is cancelling $500 million worth of mRNA vaccine development projects. The department said it will focus instead on “platforms with stronger safety records and transparent clinical and manufacturing data practices.” Listen to comments from HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. KENNEDY: “Most of these shots are for flu or COVID, but as the pandemic showed us, mRNA vaccines don't perform well against viruses that infect the upper respiratory tract. … “After reviewing the science and consulting top experts at NIH and FDA, HHS has determined that mRNA technology poses more risk than benefits for these respiratory viruses.” 28% of school boards referenced DEI in second quarter The school tracking website Burbio reports that the prevalence of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion terms in district school board meetings is down. The Trump administration has prohibited federal funding to recipients that engage in unlawful discrimination practices. This includes DEI programs. During the second quarter of this year, only 28% of school boards referenced such DEI terms, down from 38% last year. Gunman opened fire at a Seattle church event And finally, an unidentified gunman opened fire on a church event in Seattle last Thursday, July 31st. Tragically, he killed 28-year-old LeBron Givaun near the steps of the church as he arrived with his family at the young adult service at Pursuit Church. He had just gotten married a week earlier and had converted to Christianity just this year. A GoFundMe campaign for LeBron's family has already raised over $70,000. The unidentified suspect reportedly shot the victim in the chest before fleeing the scene in a white Hyundai Elantra with black wheels and a damaged passenger window, reports The Daily. It's not the first time the church has faced attacks. Rioters assaulted church members at a worship event earlier this year. Listen to comments from Russell Johnson, the pastor of Pursuit Church. JOHNSON: “The thugs who committed this crime were trying to send a message: no church is safe, no house of worship is sacred. The enemy would love for us to back down and hide, but that is simply not who we are. “And although the blood of LeBron is still stained on the front steps of our building, I'm here today to tell you there is a blood that speaks a better word. And it is the precious blood of Jesus that covers us today and provides forgiveness, protection, blessing, and healing.” Revelation 12:11 says the church overcame the Devil “by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Thursday, August 7th, in the year of our Lord 2025. //The Wire//2000Z August 6, 2025////ROUTINE////BLUF: MASS SHOOTING REPORTED AT FORT STEWART IN GEORGIA. WHITE HOUSE PROPOSES PLAN TO FEDERALIZE ADMINISTRATION OF WASHINGTON D.C. FOLLOWING VIOLENT ATTACK ON DOGE DEPARTMENT STAFFER.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events-Western Asia: India has responded to the latest tariff escalations by the White House, largely in the form of resistance to the re-negotiation of trade policy. The Ministry of External Affairs called the tariffs unfair, and has indicated that they will be fighting the implementation of these taxes in some form.Analyst Comment: India is not a particularly major trade partner with the United States, but is at the center of the immigration issue. However, this spat is probably not related to the H1B visa scandal, but is probably related to relations with Russia, which remain a persistent concern when it comes to BRICS nations becoming more economically dependent on each other.-HomeFront-Georgia: A mass shooting was reported on base at Fort Stewart this morning. 5x casualties were wounded by a gunman at headquarters of the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team (BCT). Base personnel apprehended the shooter at the scene, and local media has identified the shooter as Quornelius Radford (an Army Sergeant), though this has not yet been confirmed through official channels. The status of the five casualties (how many fatalities vs wounded) is also not yet known, though some of the victims are being treated at a local hospital.Washington D.C. - An incident involving a senior DOGE staff member took place Tuesday evening. Edward Coristine, one of the key software engineers involved at the DOGE department, was assaulted by a group of black males after he attempted to intervene to stop a carjacking of a young woman. Coristine was beaten severely during the encounter, and only two of the attackers have been arrested so far, with the rest evading capture. The woman (who has not been identified) appears to have survived the encounter. Following this brutal attack, President Trump has vowed to federalize the city of Washington D.C. and begin the crackdown on crime.-----END TEARLINE-----Analyst Comments: This has been theorized for a long time, and may now actually happen. Federalizing Washington would place the city's administration under the control of the US government, and it's not entirely clear how this might work out in practice. The most immediate impact this would have would probably be the mass firing of leadership of the dozens of law enforcement agencies that have overlapping jurisdictions throughout this special administrative region.Washington D.C. is infamous for street crime running rampant just a few streets over from the White House. There have been multiple instances of Secret Service agents experiencing attempted carjackings of official government vehicles (which came to light over the past year), and violent muggings, murders, and carjackings continue to be a regular observance throughout the Capitol region.Analyst: S2A1Research: https://publish.obsidian.md/s2underground//END REPORT//
Five soldiers are shot and wounded at Fort Stewart in Georgia… the suspected shooter, an Army Sergeant, is in custody; Texas Senate Committee on Congressional redistricting meets on the proposed Republican-drawn district lines map designed to win Republicans five more U.S. House seats, while Texas House Democrats continue to remain out-of-state to keep the House from getting a quorum to pass the map, and the Republicans are threatening to arrest or expel them, as other Democratic-led states are considering new maps of their own in retaliation. We will get the latest on how this might end with Texas Tribune reporter Gabby Birenbaum (16); President Donald Trump imposes an additional 25% tariff on India because of India's purchase of Russian oil, for a total of 50% on India, after President Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff meets Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on the war in Ukraine. UFO researcher and former U.S. Army Sergeant, Clifford Stone spoke about his covert work with the military, helping to recover crashed discs, and communicating with ETs. In one such operation, he said his team came upon a heel-shaped craft that was embedded in the ground, and an alien, similar to what is described as a "grey," lying outside the ship. Having had ET encounters as a child, Stone said he was called upon to communicate with the captured alien being, who was being held in a military facility. The ET had chalk-like grey skin, and large black eyes with vertical slits, and the two conversed telepathically. He ended up helping the being to escape, and it was rescued by ET craft, he detailed. The military has tried to back-engineer ET craft, and between 1986-7 they got one into the air, but it crashed, he noted. 57 different alien species have been cataloged visiting our planet-- some of them so bizarre appearing that you wouldn't recognize them as life forms, while others could pass for human, he stated. They're able to travel here through wormholes, but arrive outside of our atmosphere so as not to cause disturbances such as sonic booms, Stone continued. In 2016, we'll discover that the asteroid 1991 VG is actually an alien artifact, he added.

Texas Governor Abbott has issued a full pardon for an Army sergeant who shot a Black Lives Matter protester. Let's take a closer look at the details and reactions. For those unfamiliar with the incident, Army Sergeant Daniel Perry shot Garrett Foster during a Black Lives Matter protest in Austin in 2020. Perry claimed he acted in self-defense after Foster, who was carrying an AK-47 rifle, approached his vehicle. Perry had stated that he felt threatened and reacted to protect himself. Bodycam footage showed Perry visibly distraught after the incident. He claimed his vehicle was attacked by protesters, who left handprints and kick marks all over it. There were also allegations of shots being fired at his car. Officer Joshua VC, one of the first responders, testified that Perry appeared genuinely traumatized. #gregabbott #pardon #army --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/darien-dunstan3/message

How do you learn to love yourself when everything changes in an instant and the world you know is gone? Rick Yarosh was deployed to Iraq in December 2005. On Sept. 1, 2006, he was severely injured by an improvised explosive device (IED) in Abu Ghraib. For half a year, Rick recovered at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX, fighting through 2nd and 3rd degree burns on more than 60% of his body. His right leg was amputated below the knee. He also lost: both ears, his nose, multiple fingers, and most of the function in his hands. Rick says the only reason he would change that fateful moment is if he could bring back his brothers in arms that he lost in combat: Sgt. Luis Montes and SFC Anthony Venetz. Rick is a husband, father of two and retired U.S. Army sergeant. He is also an expert in HOPE (Hold On, Possibilities Exist!). Rick has toured the country as a motivational speaker and inspired millions of people from all walks of life. The host is Peter Jumrukovski a Real Estate Agent, World medalist and Author with the mission to help at least 10 million people in 10 years to accomplish their dreams.
