Located in West County, The Wolf is a neighborhood gathering spot serving up organic food with a heavy focus on sustainability. It's the kind of place owners Bob and Denise Birbin want to visit, which is why they created a restaurant they felt was missing in their community. The two met in the restaurant industry in 1978, and when they got the chance to take over The Wolf, they only wanted to do it if it could be exactly what they wanted in a restaurant. It's become a staple in Ballwin, known for their healthy options, but it's much more than a lunch spot. It's a pizza spot, a place to see live music and a spot to sneak away for a late-night bite or drink in their lounge area.
For his Roaming St. Louis segment this week, KMOX host Scott Jagow visited the Wolf Cafe in Ballwin. Owners Denise and Bob Biribin have spent their careers in the restaurant business, with a focus on composting and recycling and "real food" as their slogan goes. They talk to Scott about that, plus their taproom, cocktail lounge, new pizza offering and their Tuesday night open mic.

Many of us have adventure motorcycles and dirt bikes. Rick recently purchased a Husqvarna Norder 901. We get into a fun debate about which is a better adventure motorcycle; the Kawasaki KLR650 or a Norden 901. The truth is it is difficult to find the perfect adventure motorcycle. They tend to lean either toward dirt or street, without being great at either. SUPPORT US AND SHOP IN THE OFFICIAL LAW ABIDING BIKER STORE Brian, you may know him as Goat, just bought a Norden 901 Expedition. Goat is later in his life and getting back into off-rod riding. He road dirt as a young man, but life got in the way. There seems to be a trend of guys getting into adventure and dirt riding later in life. Our guess is that guys like Goat are at a place in life where they can afford to have an extra bike and the time to ride it. CHECK OUT OUR HUNDREDS OF FREE HELPFUL VIDEOS ON OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL AND SUBSCRIBE! I just purchased a 2024 Husqvarna 300 TE. I've been thinking about this purchase for a few years. Law Abiding Biker, my full-time law enforcement job, and other obligations limit my time to ride dirt. After riding single-track at the Touratech Rally I was hooked and decided to pull the trigger. The 2024 Husqvarna 300 TE is technically an enduro bike. Two-stroke motorcycles have come a long way since I was a kid. The two strokes of today have a much better power band. Southwest Airlines will now carry naloxone on flights — that's in part due to the efforts of Ballwin resident John Gaal who has lobbied the airline to include the opioid overdose-reversal drug in its emergency kits. Gaal witnessed the medication's ability to save lives first-hand when he stepped in to administer naloxone to a fellow passenger on a Southwest Airlines flight in October 2022. He reflects on that moment, the importance of greater access to the drug and what needs to happen next for flight crews to better respond to overdoses while in the air.
