Gotta Catch 'Em All! Welcome back. We'd like to start by apologizing for the long time between episodes: Life gets in the way sometimes. Jay is really excited about the LEGO Group's announcement of their ongoing partnership with Pokémon Company International from next year. He's been collecting the cards and playing the games since the first generation was released in 1996. https://jaysbrickblog.com/news/lego-pokemon-sets-officially-announced-coming-2026/ Richard is possibly a little too old to have cared when they first arrived, but his kids played Diamond/Pearl on their Nintendo DS despite his insistence in this episode that they played a different version. Today, we discuss how Pokémon have evolved over the years, preexisting brick building sets, and their cross-generational appeal. We also speculate how the LEGO Group might put its unique spin on the world's largest franchise when they launch info the Pokemon 30th anniversary. https://jaysbrickblog.com/news/what-lego-pokemon-sets-could-we-see-in-2026-and-beyond/ Will Pokémon be the greatest thing to happen to LEGO® bricks, since the arrival of LEGO Star Wars? We hope you enjoy the episode: if you do, be sure to leave a review on your favorite podcasting platform, and share it with your Pokémon loving friends. And we hope to see you soon. We love your feedback. Please send us an email with your LEGO Pokemon Hopes and Dreams to extrapiecespod@gmail.com

Evidence Financial Consulting Career Advancement Consulting The Career Advancement Program Join/Subscribe to a growing group of Wealth Creators Free Wealth Building ebook The purpose of this audio is to talk on the subject of international branding. The agenda includes an overview of international business, things to consider if planning enter global marketplace, resources, and more. I'd like to share a story. The Oregon-based athletic company was one of the first American companies to outsource most of its manufacturing to Asia. The company was fortunate enough to have had early exposure to operating in foreign locales when they began importing Tiger Shoes (now called Asics). Tiger provided Nike with plenty of lessons learned and pitfalls to avoid, which helped the company in its nascent efforts to sell Nike overseas. Like other successful global marketers, Nike had a visual logo that transcended language. Concentrating on using the logo rather than the name, Nike began by endorsing international athletes like Romanian tennis player Ilie Nastase, acclimatizing foreign populations to the Nike logo. The company used these athlete endorsements as the primary marketing tool for global expansion. Nike broadened the company vision from running shoes and began to brand athletic wear with the Nike name. Choosing to endorse cricket, soccer, golf, and other smaller sports strengthened the brand, equated it with sports success, and ultimately provided name recognition in every sports venue around the world. This is not a one size fits all because there are lots of small to medium size businesses that go global and they do it in different ways.
