In 2010, the Association for Information Systems formed a special interest group () to nurture an international community of academics that study the role of digital technologies in fostering environmentally, economically and socially sustainable development. Fifteen years later, we sit down with , the current SIGGreen president, to reflect on the progress we have made. What do we know about how digital technologies help greening our planet? What efforts in empirical, theoretical, and design work is still needed? Is our role to understand the role of digital technologies or do we need to push and enact change ourselves? Riitta Fagerholm Mosić prihaja iz Vante, mesta v bližini Helsinkov. Finko je v Slovenijo pred 16 leti pripeljal poletni oddih, med katerim je mimogrede obnovila slovensko poznanstvo še iz časa študija v Gradcu. Kdo bi si mislil, da bo preprosto vabilo na kavo tisti trenutek, ki bo njeno življenjsko pot obrnil v povsem novo smer. Tu je našla zaposlitev - je koordinatorica projektov v podjetju, ki se ukvarja z zbiranjem in analitiko podatkov - si ustvarila družino in zdaj živi v Ljubljani, kjer se je srečala z Andrejo Gradišar. Med drugim ji je razkrila, zakaj poletij v nasprotju z večino Slovencev ne preživlja na Hrvaškem, pa tudi kaj finskega pogreša in v čem smo si Finci in Slovenci podobni.
