Dieses Zitat von Michener beschreibt mich am besten: „The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he's always doing both“.

Organizational resilience is the ability of a company to adapt and respond to changes, disruptions, and unforeseen events while maintaining its core functions and objectives. Building up organizational resilience can help companies to not only survive but also thrive during difficult times. Our guest, Judith Jungmann is currently CHRO at Beckers Group. Even after 26 years of focusing on the people topic in organizations, she is still fascinated by a lot of aspects of this broad field. Her motto has been „unleashing potential of individuals and organisations“ for some time now, and she could prove this in different industries in very international environments, both in multinational blue chip companies and smaller-sized organizations. She is convinced that Resilience is the name of the game in those times we are facing now and has been inspired by numerous colleagues, especially in emerging countries, and also her own meditation teacher.
Listen in the Episode #89 with Judith Jungmann! Judith has 25 years of experience in the people function and is still fascinated by it, she believes that ultimately the driver of business success is people. Prior to joining Beckers as CHRO in 2018 (where she was also responsible to set a sustainability strategy for the business), Judith has been responsible for People and Communications at Scout24 with a special focus on the transformation of business and HR after the acquisition by private equity. Her HR school was Danone, where she started in Germany and was promoted HR Director very quickly, before she moved to international roles like Global Talent Director and Regional HR Director, responsible for 12 countries, both mature and emerging. She started her career at Siemens. Her motto is "unleashing potential of individuals and organisations" since a long time. Judith holds a first and second law degree and tries to learn about topics like leadership, organizational development, people development on a continuous basis, she cannot get enough of reading, listening and discussing about it.

The Change Starts Here podcast and host Dustin Odham went right to the source for this episode, the first to feature a superintendent, inviting Dr. John Jungmann of Springfield Public Schools to the program to share his wealth of insights. Jungmann has served Missouri school districts for decades, including seven years at SPS, and has dedicated that time to helping engineer what he calls a “student-focused, future-driven” education system. That illustrious career in administration officially came to an end May 21, when Jungmann gave his final graduation speech as a superintendent of a Missouri school system. For all that time spent molding young minds, Jungmann said his career got its start in a rather simple way. “I was inspired to be a teacher by teachers,” he said. “I'm the last of six kids in a traditional, small-Southwest-Missouri-town family, the first to go to college, and I went to college purely because teachers told me I could and I should.” Jungmann shared the stories of three educators in particular – an innovator, an encourager and a truth-teller you'll meet in the full episode – who helped shape his path to education. The duo also got into the less-glamourous aspects of leadership aspirations in administration, which often comes alongside family moves and tough decisions, and into Jungmann's next chapter post-retirement from the SPS superintendent role.
