HEALING TOWERS Andrea Leonelli - Producer HEALING TOWERS REVIEWS This movie is a relentless rollercoaster of madness and manipulation, where the lines between the mentally ill and their abusers blur in a chilling dance of despair. It plunges deep into the haunting tragedies of the homeless — souls trapped in battles they can't win, even as those who claim to help them struggle against forces far darker than they ever imagined. Every twist shatters your expectations; every turn tightens the grip of hopelessness. It's raw, brutal, and unforgettable. Verdict on Healing Towers The movie follows a detective and a journalist teaming up to investigate the strange goings-on in a hospital. However, they discover a much darker series of events happening in the hospital and must bring an end to the torture. Best Parts The movie uses an interesting concept of the victims being selected and how a doctor believes they are helping others. It shows how easily it can go on in secret and how people can become victims. Worst Parts It wants to push things to the extreme but ends up holding things back. There seems to be a sub-plot happening in the same, which is far darker but doesn't get enough attention. If we had focused solely on the doctor's experiments, we could see are far darker story. The performances are not the strongest either, as it never feels as intense as the presented scenes. Final Thoughts –Healing Towers takes a disturbing but very predictable walk into extreme therapy. (2 STARS) Detective Joe is a loving father who will stop at nothing to find his missing daughter. After a long and grueling search, he discovers a link to Healing Towers, a psychiatric facility located in a historic 1920's building close to downtown Los Angeles. Dr. Mark Healer, the founder of Healing Towers, is a well-known and respected psychiatrist who has gained global celebrity status due to his unconventional treatment methods. He claims to have developed a unique approach that helps the mentally unstable homeless population, but his philanthropic work is only a front for his psychotic and murderous desires. Mark's treatment method involves manipulating his patients' hallucinations and forcing them to act out their darkest fantasies on carefully selected victims. He has convinced his patients that the violent murders they commit are only a dream and not reality, making them more susceptible to his twisted therapy. These horrific crimes go undetected for a decade, but everything changes when Darlene, a young social worker, goes missing, and her best friend Julia links her disappearance to Healing Towers. Julia's investigation leads her to Detective Joe, and together they start to unravel the sickening truth behind Healing Towers. They soon find themselves in a race against time as they try to stop Mark's sadistic program and save themselves from becoming its next victims.

Growing up in a vibrant immigrant community, education and ambition were ingrained in her from a young age. Though she initially aspired to be a lawyer, a pivotal summer program introduced her to the world of television, setting her on a path toward media and storytelling.Amber studied Film & Television at Hobart College, gained hands-on experience through internships, and landed a job in media advertising post-graduation. However, she craved creativity beyond spreadsheets, leading her to a career transition into production. Episode 261 features Bill Mikita, Hollywood writer and film producer and Mike McCloud, creator of the World Food Championships. Bill Mikita is the writer and producer of the movie, Chasing 3000.  The movie is based on the true story of Bill and his brother's cross country trip to see Roberto Clemente get his 3,000th base hit.  The story of how this career lawyer became a Hollywood writer and film producer and was able to get Ray Liotta, among other celebrities to star in the movie is fascinating.  Some of those other celebrities include, Lauren Holly, M. Emmet Walsh, Lori Petty, Keith David, Trevor Morgan, Rory Culkin, Tania Raymonde, Seymour Cassel, and Willa Holland.  Bill gives us an inside look at the making of the film which, in its final form seemed improbable, but Bill persevered and the result is a wonderful movie.  Bill discusses his next project which is based on an amazing baseball game between two unbelievable teams and is a story you will not want to miss. Mike McCloud is focused on making Food Sport a long-term, fun-filled legacy for the culinary industry.  As the creator of the World Food Championships he appears to be on his way to doing that.  The first WFC competition was in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2012 where almost 300 culinary champions gathered to compete.  The event was filmed in 2013 for a reality show that aired 2014 on A&E's FYI Channel. WFC's 2014 competition grew 35% and culminated in the first $100,000 grand prize.
