On this week's Political Breakfast: The campaign for billionaire healthcare CEO Rick Jackson confirmed with WABE he will NOT be part of Monday's Atlanta Press Club debate, in the battle for the Republican nomination in the Georgia governor's race. His opponent, Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones, is now prepared to face an empty podium on Monday afternoon at 2:45, and answer questions from a panel of journalists alone. He also criticized Jackson for not showing up on social media. Jackson's campaign cited a scheduling conflict: an event with Florida U.S. Sen. Rick Scott. The campaign said in a statement that the APC could not accommodate later dates, so Jackson has accepted Gray TV's invitation to debate on President Trump's birthday, or Flag Day on June 14th, "when runoff voters will be fully engaged and making a decision ahead of Election Day." Meanwhile, Democratic nominee and former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms dominated in the May primary with 56 percent of the vote. She will face either Jones or Jackson in November. Democratic strategist Tharon Johnson and Republican strategist Brian Robinson go live with host Lisa Rayam. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In the Fun Half: Pete Hegseth appears before congress as a part of the military's budget request hearings, and it does not go well for him. Hegseth implies the soldiers that survived the drone attack that killed 6 servicemembers were lying when they said that they had almost no support. Also at the hearing, Rep. Jason Crow exposes Hegseth recommissioning his personal attorney and now top adviser at the Pentagon Tim Parlatore, who also represents clients that are in line for promotion by Hegseth so that he could sidestep any venting process. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) goes on Fox to lie Kamala-style about how great the economy is. "You can just feel how good things are". Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) takes a different approach to manipulating people around the economy. Rick says that the higher prices at the pump are worth it because now we are safer and can live in freedom. Tim Pool's guest floats the idea that Ben Shapiro is running ads on Tucker Carlson's channel to capture his audience, but Tim shuts it down, saying it would be stupid and bad business—only to admit moments later that he's done the same thing to The Majority Report's channel. Ryan and Dana discuss Rick Scott opposing the use of taxpayer money for Trump's White House ballroom project.
Stay connected with us at americangroundradio.com, on Facebook, and Instagram. You're listening to American Ground Radio with Louis R. Avallone and Stephen Parr. This is the full show for April 27, 2026. We open with the story that dominated the weekend — another assassination attempt on President Trump, this time at the White House Correspondents' Dinner in Washington D.C. A man traveled by train from California, breached security carrying a shotgun, a handgun, and two knives, shot a Secret Service agent in a bulletproof vest, and was taken down before reaching the ballroom. We cover what was in his written statement, why the reasons he gave sound almost indistinguishable from the Democratic Party platform, and why President Trump walked back into that ballroom afterward — because we don't let evil win and we don't let one man take the night from everyone else. Then our American Mama Teri Netterville joins us to talk about the assassination attempt, the pattern of political violence that has now produced three close calls, and the direct line between inflammatory rhetoric from media figures and unhinged actors who take it literally. We dig into left-wing influencer Hassan Piker — the number one influencer on the American left, who has called for the murder of Rick Scott and whose content is so violent that Democrat candidates are still campaigning with him anyway. We also cover Jimmy Kimmel's comment that Melania Trump has a glow like an expectant widow — made days before an armed man tried to make that prophecy come true — and Melania's powerful response demanding ABC take a stand. We ask the question nobody in big media wants to answer — when does rhetoric become incitement? We Dig Deep into the 60 Minutes interview between President Trump and anchor Nora O'Donnell — specifically the moment that's going viral for all the right reasons. O'Donnell read from the alleged assassin's written statement calling Trump a pedophile and rapist, Trump pushed back firmly, and O'Donnell responded with what we call one of the most brazen acts of media gaslighting in recent memory — saying, oh, you think he was referring to you? We break down exactly why that response is not journalism, it's abuse — and why the media's pattern of floating smears, getting called out, and then pretending they had no idea what they were implying is a form of institutional dishonesty that the American people deserve better than. We also dig into the congressional redistricting battle playing out simultaneously in Texas, Florida, Virginia, and California — because what looks like separate legal fights is actually one coordinated war over who controls the House before a single vote is cast this November. The Supreme Court upheld Texas's new Republican-drawn maps today, potentially adding five Republican seats. Florida's Governor DeSantis is advancing new maps that could flip four Democrat seats. Virginia's Democrat-drawn maps designed to create a 10-1 advantage are tied up in court and the state Supreme Court sounded skeptical today. We explain who actually started this fight — it wasn't Texas — and why the most important redistricting Supreme Court case of the decade is coming this summer out of Louisiana. We also spend some time on the wine. After the shooting at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, 147 of 186 bottles of $796-a-bottle wine went missing. We debate whether this is theft, entitlement, or a reasonable response to a near-death experience — and we do not fully agree. For our Bright Spot, Senator Mike Lee of Utah has introduced the Ending Discrimination in Government Contracting Act — legislation that would require federal contracts to be awarded based on the competency, cost-effectiveness, and track record of the business rather than the skin color or gender of the owner. We explain why Chief Justice Roberts was right that the only way to stop racial discrimination is to stop discriminating on the basis of race — and why this bill is exactly that principle applied to the way your tax dollars are spent. And we close with 96-year-old Barbara Collins, who loves gardening but whose knees don't cooperate anymore. Fortunately, her granddaughter's 150-pound Newfoundland sheepdog Chewy lives next door — and when Barbara points to a spot in the garden, Chewy digs. May your pursuit of happiness bring you joy. In this compelling episode of John Solomon Reports, we delve into the latest developments surrounding accountability and the ongoing investigations into government misconduct. FBI Director Kash Patel hints at imminent indictments related to the weaponization of government, dating back to the controversial Russia collusion case. We explore the implications of these potential indictments, especially regarding the 2019 impeachment of President Donald Trump, which is now being scrutinized for its legitimacy and political bias.Senator Rick Scott of Florida joins us to announce his groundbreaking legislation aimed at expunging the 2019 impeachment vote against Trump, marking a historic move in American politics. This resolution seeks to address the perceived illegitimacy of the impeachment process, setting a precedent that could reshape the political landscape. In the second segment, we hear from Congressman Rob Wittman of Virginia, who is actively campaigning against a proposed constitutional amendment that threatens to gerrymander the state. Whitman shares his insights on the importance of fair representation and the potential fallout of partisan redistricting, emphasizing the need for voter engagement to preserve the integrity of Virginia's electoral maps.As the episode unfolds, we also examine the fallout from the Ukraine impeachment saga, revealing new evidence that challenges the narratives presented during the impeachment trial. A recent Rasmussen Reports poll indicates a growing belief among Americans that government officials acted unlawfully to create a false impression of wrongdoing by Trump, further complicating the historical narrative surrounding the impeachment.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Story of the Week (DR):Jeff Shell, president and board director at Paramount Skydance, is stepping down after allegations of SEC violationsShell came under scrutiny after gambler and whistleblower R.J. Cipriani filed a $150M lawsuit alleging Shell shared confidential information in violation of SEC rules.Shell previously left his role as NBCUniversal CEO in 2023 after he admitted to having an “inappropriate relationship” with an employee. The company said it did not find an SEC violation. Today's Headlines: A Los Angeles jury found Meta and YouTube liable for a user's social media addiction — the first verdict of its kind — awarding $6 million in damages for negligently designing platforms to be addictive despite knowing the harm. Meta 70% liable, YouTube 30%. Both stocks went up anyway. With 2,000 pending related lawsuits and a separate New Mexico jury ordering Meta to pay $375 million for enabling child exploitation, this may be the Big Tobacco moment for social media — or the beginning of a very long appeals process. Probably both. Day 27 of the Iran war: Trump deployed 2,000-3,000 paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne while telling reporters "we've won this war." Iran rejected his 15-point peace proposal as "extremely maximalist and unreasonable" — their counteroffer included war reparations and permanent sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz. Not close. Rubio told Congress the U.S. may need to physically enter Iran to secure nuclear material. NBC News reported Trump's daily war briefing is a two-minute explosion montage, which explains a lot. TSA is at 450 resignations, callout rates above 40%, no funding deal in sight. Epstein's accountant — who managed his finances for decades, opened bank accounts for victims, organized their housing, and appeared on shell companies used to move money — testified the FBI and DOJ never once interviewed him during their "exhaustive" investigation. French prosecutors raided a Rothschild bank in Paris in a separate Epstein probe involving a diplomat who allegedly passed UN Security Council material to Epstein. We want to welcome ALL new listeners and subscribers who used promo code “PAT45” — welcome to the family. President Trump revealed that Iran's leaders recently sent him a major undisclosed “present” related to oil and gas. “They gave us a present, and the present arrived today. It was a very big present, worth a tremendous amount of money,” Trump stated, confirming that the gift showed the administration is “dealing with the right people.” At the same time, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth delivered a stark message: “We negotiate with bombs.” This combination of a significant oil prize and a hard-line warning captures the latest dramatic development in the U.S.-Iran situation. The coming months will determine whether this hidden oil prize leads to a new era of peace through strength or escalates into further confrontation between America and Iran.
