It's Monday, July 20th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Pakistani Christian 13-year-old girl still captive to Muslim man On July 7, the European Parliament condemned Pakistan for its violation of human rights, citing a 13-year-old Christian Pakistani girl who is still fighting for her freedom from the 30-year-old Muslim man who abducted her, reports International Christian Concern. Maria Shahbaz was kidnapped in July 2025 by Shehryar Ahmad, who forced her to convert to Islam and married her against her will. Alliance Defending Freedom came alongside her parents in their fight to regain custody of their child in Pakistan's Federal Constitutional Court in February. Pakistani law states that a minor cannot legally consent to religious conversion or marriage, but shockingly the court ruled in favor of Ahmad when he presented a forged marriage certificate.  In Matthew 18:6, Jesus said, “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in Me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.” Shahbaz's parents are not giving up. They are still appealing their daughter's case in court, hoping that justice will swiftly come.  According to Open Doors, Pakistan is the eighth worst country worldwide for the persecution of Christians. Send a polite, 3-sentence letter to Rizwan Sheikh, the Pakistan Ambassador to America, asking that he intervene.  The address is 3517 International Court NW, Washington, DC 20008. Two U.S. soldiers killed in Iranian attack on military base Two American soldiers were killed on July 17th in an Iranian attack on a U.S. military base in Jordan, reports the Western Journal. In a post on X, U.S. Central Command added, “Four American service members were medically evacuated to Jordanian hospitals. They have since been discharged.” Plus, one soldier is missing. Iran's attacks came after the U.S. launched its seventh consecutive night of air strikes on Iran. Iran makes chilling death threats against President Trump Iranian state media has published a shocking video entitled “Where to kill Trump?”, claiming to know the U.S. leader's motorcade route and the vulnerabilities within his security, reports The Express. The highly concerning footage claimed to reveal “information on the whereabouts of the terrorist president of America” while promising that “access to Trump is possible in these places.” It also alleges to give details about the motorcade that protects the U.S. president, which typically consists of 40 to 50 vehicles. It comes after repeated death threats have been made by Iran following the U.S. assassination of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.  President Trump's primetime speech on election integrity Last Thursday night, President Donald Trump addressed election security in a nationwide primetime address from the White House, pointing to ways American political leftists and China have compromised our elections, reports The Epoch Times. TRUMP: “You can't have a great country without free and fair elections. All we want is honesty in our elections. Great damage has been done to our country. Our elections were left vulnerable to being rigged and stolen, and the trust of the American people was lost. This cannot be allowed to continue. “Every American -- whether you're a Republican, Democrat, Independent, or otherwise -- should be able to agree that we deserve the most secure, honest, and fair election system anywhere in the world.” President Trump explained that China started compromising our elections in 2020. TRUMP: “Over a period of years, starting during the 2020 election cycle, the People's Republic of China carried out what is believed to be the largest compromise of election data in history, resulting in China's illicit acquisition of 220 million U.S. voter files. That information includes names, addresses, phone numbers, political party preferences, and other sensitive data that would be needed to register to vote. “This data loss presents an unprecedented election security nightmare. The intelligence even shows that China assigned a data exploitation unit specifically to this new project.” And finally, President Trump vowed action to hold people accountable. TRUMP: “The documents we will release, starting tonight, have been gathered by the White House Government Transparency Task Force, a great group of people, supported by our top intelligence agency chiefs, who have all personally reviewed the findings we are presenting this evening and fully confirmed their authenticity. “You can see these documents for yourself at whitehouse.gov. That's whitehouse.gov. Go check it out. Our purpose in disclosing this information is not to weaken confidence in election, but to earn that confidence by confronting vulnerabilities and correcting them very, very quickly, and that's what we're doing.” Homeland Security Secretary vows to prosecute illegal voters In related news, during a Friday press briefing, Secretary of Homeland Security Markwayne Mullin promised to hunt down and prosecute illegal voters in the U.S., noting that 250,000 non-citizens are illegally registered to vote in just four states, reports The Christian Post. Speaking in the wake of President Donald Trump's 25-minute primetime address about election security on July 16th, Mullin outlined an aggressive plan to tighten voter roll integrity, harden election infrastructure, and hold election officials accountable for alleged failures. Senator Marsha Blackburn: No more birth tourism Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee has reintroduced legislation aimed at ending so-called “birth tourism” following the Supreme Court's recent 6-3 ruling in Trump v. Barbara. It held that children born in the United States to illegal aliens and foreign tourists remain entitled to birthright citizenship under the 14th Amendment, reports Big League Politics. She said, “Congress must step up to the plate to protect the integrity of American citizenship.” The Ban Birth Tourism Act is co-sponsored by GOP Senators Ted Budd of North Carolina, John Cornyn of Texas, Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming, Tim Sheehy of Montana, Jim Banks of Indiana, and Rick Scott of Florida. The legislation would amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to explicitly prohibit foreign nationals from obtaining temporary visas for the purpose of giving birth in the United States. It would also classify birth tourism as a deportable offense, allowing immigration authorities to remove foreign nationals who enter the country for that purpose. Call your two senators anytime -- 24 hours a day 7 days a week -- speaking to a live operator to leave a voicemail at 202-224-3121 and ask them to support the Ban Birth Tourism Act. That's 202-224-3121. Samaritan's Purse deployed disaster relief unit for Texas flood victims On July 17th, churches in the Texas Hill Country opened their doors as flood displacement shelters, taking in families whose homes and recreational vehicles had been swept away by rapidly rising rivers that killed at least two people, reports The Christian Post. Recently more than 30 inches of rain fell over several days, causing the Leona River and Guadalupe River to overflow. Floodwaters surged through the streets, destroying homes, and stranding people and vehicles. The Christian relief group Samaritan's Purse said it was deploying a disaster relief unit to the Hill Country, with staff and volunteer teams set to work in Uvalde County. The group said it was basing operations out of Uvalde Methodist Church, with volunteers beginning on Sunday to help residents remove waterlogged belongings and clear mud from their homes. Consider making a donation to Samaritan's Purse to help the Texas victims of the flood through a special link in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com. 1 John 3:17 asks, “If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need, but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?” Worldview listeners weigh in from New York, Texas and Arkansas Deb Staley in Unadilla Forks, New York wrote me and said, “The Worldview never disappoints. It's uplifting, informative, and to the point. The Bible verses are so very helpful. And I love the fact that there are limited news stories. If there were more, I'd begin to tune out. Thank you for what you do.” David O'Hanlon in Burleson, Texas wrote, “I have listened to your broadcast every weekday for about two years which I support monthly. You bring news – especially the persecution of the Church – which I do not hear anywhere else.”  And Melissa in Bradford, Arkansas wrote, “I listen to your newscast on my lunch break. I like it because it's truthful news about real people. Plus, you talk about stuff others do not. Thank you.” 26 Worldview listeners gave $ 9,113 And finally, by Saturday night at 10:00pm Central, 26 Worldview listeners stepped up to the plate and invested their treasure to fund the six-member team behind The Worldview for another year. This interview is with Scott Kelley of Paul O'Brien Winery. In this interview, Scott talks about starting to work in the wine industry as a teenager, his experience with big, corporate wineries, and starting his own project in Oregon. Scott shares about beginning to work in the industry at 17 years old cleaning mobile grape presses. When his boss learned about his affinity for chemistry, he started taking grape samples in the vineyard to help determine pick dates. During this time, he met a winemaker who encouraged him to go to UC Davis. Scott talks about working at a brewery in Monterey, where he enjoyed the fermentation science but not the repetition and consistency of beer making. Without any cellar experience, he had to wait for someone in the wine industry to give him a chance, and that opportunity finally came through Golden State Vintners. Later in the interview, Scott discusses working for Robert Mondavi's La Famiglia label and learning to balance attention to detail with the large volume of wine he was producing there. While working for Estancia, he took their production up to 1.6 million cases yearly. In 2013, he started his own project with partner Dyson DeMara, which came to be known as Paul O'Brien Winery. This interview was conducted by Rich Schmidt at Paul O'Brien Winery in Roseburg on March 19, 2026. Thank you to the Oregon Wine Board for generously supporting this interview as part of our Southern Oregon 2026 tour!

It's Tuesday, July 2nd, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes and heard at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson and Adam McManus Namibia, Africa decriminalizes homosexual behavior Last week, the high court of the Southern African nation of Namibia struck down a colonial law banning homosexual behavior in the country.   Last year, the same court legitimized homosexual faux marriage for a bi-national couple.   Homosexual behavior is criminalized in 30 African countries, and allowed in 24 countries now. Supreme Court: Trump has limited immunity from prosecution The U.S. Supreme Court ruled yesterday in favor of the former President, in relation to his post-election activities on January 6th, 2021, reports LifeSiteNews.com. By a vote of 6 to 3, the high court granted Donald Trump immunity for official acts taken in his role as president of the United States. The majority on the court agreed with Trump's appeal. The decision, written by Chief Justice John Roberts, concluded that: “The President is not above the law. But under our system of separated powers, the President may not be prosecuted for exercising his core constitutional powers, and he is entitled to at least presumptive immunity from prosecution for his official acts.” What remains to be answered is which actions taken after the 2020 election by the president were official and which were unofficial. This question is remanded to the lower courts. House Speaker Mike Johnson called the decision “a victory for former President Trump.” And the Biden campaign said the decision has handed Trump "the keys to a dictatorship," reports the New York Post. Supreme Court deals blow to regulation stranglehold   In other Supreme Court news, the high court has rendered the regulatory bureaucracy a serious setback in the United States.   Friday's decision overturned the 1984 decision Chevron U.S.A. Inc. v. Natural Resources Defense Council Inc., — which to this point had allowed federal bureaucracies extensive latitude for interpreting law and implementing regulations. Poll: Donald – 44%, Biden – 41% The latest Non-Partisan Patriot Polling puts Donald Trump ahead of Joe Biden in the presidential race,  44% to 41%. The current president's rating has also dropped off from 33% to 29%. And 76% of prospective voters polled say Donald Trump won last Thursday's debate. Colonel Macgregor: Biden's cognitive decline means US gov't is in "unelected hands" Speaking of that debate, Retired U.S. Army Colonel Douglas Macgregor has said that “the governing power” of the U.S. lies “in unelected hands” after the first presidential debate highlighting President Joe Biden's cognitive decline to the whole world, reports LifeSiteNews.com. In a 5-minute video message published on the YouTube channel Our Country Our Choice, Col. MacGregor expressed his profound concern for the United States after Biden's catastrophic performance. Listen. MacGREGOR: “President Biden is not fit to discharge the immense duties of the presidency. The alarming evidence of his cognitive decline was on display for all to witness. Yet his enablers and political allies continue to exploit the president to substitute their destructive agenda for the interests of the American people. “The unconscionable betrayal of the sacred trust that must exist between the federal government and American citizens is all around us. Destructive executive orders and policy directives, many of which were likely signed when President Biden was in a rapidly diminished state of mind, inflicting tremendous damage on our nation. “Sadly, President Biden's fragile mental state was laid bare for all to see in last night's debate. His responses were frequently incoherent, he appeared lost even confused, struggling to complete basic thoughts. It was heartbreaking, a spectacle that confirmed our worst fears about his deteriorating capacity.” Col. MacGregor questioned the legitimacy of Biden's executive orders in light of his demonstrable mental incapacity. MacGREGOR: “No individual whose mental health is compromised, should be allowed to continue in the most demanding job on Earth. Americans, we find ourselves at a critical juncture in our nation's journey. In the private sector or in matters of estate planning, the validity of signatures made under such circumstances would be challenged and invalidated in a court of law. “How can we accept crucial national decisions being made under these conditions? The American people deserve better. It is time to ask, ‘Who truly governs this country?' Is it ‘we the people,' as our Founders intended, or have we surrendered control to unelected bureaucrats?” Trump ally Steve Bannon went to jail yesterday Longtime Trump ally Steve Bannon was taken into custody yesterday after surrendering at a federal prison in Danbury, Connecticut. He began his four-month prison sentence on contempt charges for defying a subpoena in the congressional investigation into the events on January 6, 2021 at the U.S. Capitol, reports the Associated Press. Speaking to reporters, Bannon called himself a “political prisoner.” BANNON: “I'm a political prisoner of Nancy Pelosi. I'm a political prisoner of Merrick Garland. I'm a political prisoner of Joe Biden, the corrupt Biden establishment. “You saw on Thursday, all the lies that they told any group that would sit there and lie to you about the shape of the President of the United States, with the national security element of that, lied about the 2020 election. They've lied about COVID. They've lied about everything that they've done to the American people and they're not going to stop. Until we stop them, they're not going to stop.”  Court injunction allows Good News Clubs into Hawaiian schools Here's some good news for the Good News Clubs sponsored by Child Evangelism Fellowship! Since 2022, Hawaii's Department of Education had denied every single request for access Hawaii's primary schools by the Christian Good News Clubs. Liberty Counsel has obtained a court injunction to open access to the Good News clubs in Hawaii, and provide “timely responses to future applications.” In Mark 16:15, Jesus said, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the Good News to every creature.” Criminal illegal immigrants entry to America has quadrupled Criminals entering the borders of the United States have quadrupled since 2019 — in just five years. These are people that had already been convicted of one or more crimes prior to entering America. The official Customs and Border Protection numbers clocked 4,300 arrests in 2019. By contrast, this year that number is approaching 17,000 or an average of 1,459 per month. Banks welcome gold back as a hedge in an uncertain economy Interest in gold as a safe hedge is back, at least for the world banks. For fifty years, between 1960 and 2010, the world banks shed their gold reserves, dropping from 1.23 billion ounces to 960 million ounces. Now, for the last 14 years, the banks have been buying back gold.  There is now 1.15 billion ounces of gold representing about 2.7% of the Gross World Product, reports WolfStreet.com. New Mexico's surgical abortions have tripled Since 2020, the number of abortions performed in New Mexico has tripled.   Most of that is due to women from Texas seeking abortions across the border.  Now, 71% of New Mexican abortions are out-of-state abortions, reports Abortion Free New Mexico. The Word of God is firm on this: “You shall not murder.” (Exodus 20:13) 14 Worldview listeners gave a final $9,600 And finally, between some checks that just arrived in the mail at our P.O. Escuchar audio

It's Thursday, July 13th, A.D. 2023. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Protestant challenges in Catholic Italy The Protestant church has been growing for years now in Catholic-majority Italy. However, Evangelicals in the western country still face bureaucratic harassment for operating outside the de facto Catholic structure.  Italy's constitution promises religious freedom, but ambiguity on what that means has led to discrimination against religious minorities.  Evangelical Focus reports, “Regulations and resulting bureaucratic harassment have led to dozens of churches closing nationwide.”  Rapid rise of Portuguese Protestants Meanwhile, the Evangelical church is also growing in Catholic-majority Portugal. The Portuguese Evangelical Alliance surveyed 350 Protestant pastors in the country. Eighty-percent of them reported their churches are growing. And 62% said they are working to plant new churches in the next five years. Much of the growth is recent. Over 40% of Portugal's Evangelical churches started since 2000.  Isaiah 9:7 says of Christ, “Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end.” Iowa's Heartbeat Bill In the U.S., Iowa's Senate and House voted in favor of the Heartbeat Bill on Tuesday night. The bill prohibits the killing of unborn babies after six weeks of pregnancy with some exceptions.  The legislation passed overwhelmingly after Republican Governor Kim Reynolds called for a special session. She plans to sign the bill into law on Friday.  Inflation dropped to 3% U.S. annual inflation fell to 3% last month, the lowest in two years. The figure has been falling for 12 consecutive months since inflation hit 9% last year. Inflation is still above the Federal Reserve's target rate of 2%. The Fed has raised interest rates by five percentage points since March last year in an attempt to combat inflation. The financial sector expects the Fed to raise rates again later this month. Archeologist: I found Sodom A Christian archeologist reports finding what he believes to be the Biblical city of Sodom. Dr.Steven Collins is the Dean of the College of Archaeology at Trinity Southwest University. He shared his findings with “The Rosenberg Report” recently.  Unlike previous research on the subject, Collins started with the Bible's geographic account of Sodom and Gomorrah's location.  COLLINS: “When you do the science of Sodom, you go to the text first. Why? Because the Bible is the only place, the only ancient text, that has survived with the name Sodom in it. The detailed geography about it and the other cities of the plain. That has to be dealt with as a primary text.” This led Collins to the Tall el-Hammam archeological site in the Jordan River Valley. There Collins' team uncovered a series of large and wealthy ancient cities. Pottery from the dig appeared to have been melted, in keeping with the Bible's account of Sodom's destruction by fire. In a peer-reviewed paper, Collins previously argued that the site was destroyed by a meteoritic airburst. Genesis 19:24-25 says, “Then the LORD rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the LORD out of the heavens. So He overthrew those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground.” Worldview listeners weigh in from Florida and South Carolina Worldview listeners continue to email me about why they like the newscast at Adam@TheWorldview.com.  When you write, let us know if there was a specific story that you appreciated. Even secondary, once reliable sources, tend to have biases that sometimes are misleading. Praying your guidelines will continue to be God's holy, infallible Word.” And Krishonda Torres in Camden, South Carolina wrote, “Our family has used The Worldview, and financially supported it, since we first discovered the newscast in the spring of 2021. It has become an invaluable part of our daily homeschool routine.   We listen because it gives the news from a Christian worldview with book, chapter, and verse where needed. We share this invaluable resource with every Christian family we encounter.  Keep up the great work.” 12 Worldview listeners gave $2,125 Praise God!  Yesterday, twice the number of listeners made a donation compared to Tuesday.  Twelve people invested their resources toward our $80,000 goal by Monday, July 31st to keep this unique Christian newscast on the air.  We thank God for Julie in Victoria, Texas, Janet in Canton, Illinois, Bob in Cosmopolis, Washington, Tamra in Greenwood , New York, Andrew in Tiverton, Rhode Island, and Rosemarie in Carthage, North Carolina – each of whom gave $50. I'm looking for 5 Worldview listeners to pledge $100/month for 12 months.
