There is nothing my holiness cannot do. Your holiness reverses all the laws of the world. It is beyond every restriction of time, space, distance and limits of any kind. Your holiness is totally unlimited in its power because it establishes you as a Son of God, at one with the Mind of his Creator. Through your holiness the power of God is made manifest. Through your holiness the power of God is made available. And there is nothing the power of God cannot do. Your holiness, then, can remove all pain, can end all sorrow, and can solve all problems. It can do so in connection with yourself and with anyone else. It is equal in its power to help anyone because it is equal in its power to save anyone. If you are holy, so is everything God created. You are holy because all things He created are holy. And all things He created are holy because you are. In today's exercises, we will apply the power of your holiness to all problems, difficulties or suffering in any form that you happen to think of, in yourself or in someone else. We will make no distinctions because there are no distinctions. In the four longer practice periods, each preferably to last a full five minutes, repeat the idea for today, close your eyes, and then search your mind for any sense of loss or unhappiness of any kind as you see it. Try to make as little distinction as possible between a situation that is difficult for you, and one that is difficult for someone else. Identify the situation specifically, and also the name of the person concerned. Use this form in applying the idea for today: In the situation involving ---- in which I see myself, there is nothing that my holiness cannot do. In the situation involving ---- in which ---- sees himself, there is nothing my holiness cannot do. From time to time you may want to vary this procedure, and add some relevant thoughts of your own. You might like, for example, to include thoughts such as: There is nothing my holiness cannot do because the power of God lies in it. Introduce whatever variations appeal to you, but keep the exercises focused on the theme, "There is nothing my holiness cannot do." The purpose of today's exercises is to begin to instill in you a sense that you have dominion over all things because of what you are. In the frequent shorter applications, apply the idea in its original form unless a specific problem concerning you or someone else arises, or comes to mind. In that event, use the more specific form in applying the idea to it.- Jesus Christ in A Course in Miracles, Lesson 38

Do you want to know how to overcome emotional trading? How to prevent fear and greed from sucking your account dry? In today’s Trader’s Mindchat Show, Mike and Melissa interview Tradeciety and Edgewonk co-founder Rolf Schlotmann and dive deep into learning key trading habits to keep the ego out of trading and help ensure long-term success. Also, Mike and Melissa compare Rolf’s journey with Robin Sharma’s book “The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari” and discuss important factors that create a more present state of mind when goal setting. Also, they tackle Investing Mastermind Warren Buffett’s 5/25 Rule and debate how to apply this rule and how to narrow down from your list of 25 goals to the five you feel most passionate about. Then they help give actionable ways to create a roadmap on reaching them. Try out new things, have passions outside of trading. 2) Most people chase big dreams but what you need to do is create your perfect average day. Do following exercise: think about what you need for your perfect average day. The simple moments. Having breakfast with your kids, what type of business are you running, are the people you are interacting with healthy and stimulating. Food you eat. This exercise will show that you already have the perfect day within reach and you don’t need millions in bank account to reach it. Motivating and inspiring. 3) Don’t let trading results correlate with your self-worth. Many traders who have a bad trading day will take it out on themselves, people they interact with, and have a negative impact on their day. 4) Have the beginner mindset. Nice to not be in expert or teacher mode. When starting something new it is stimulating your creativity and challenges you. 5) Take the emotions out of trading by thinking, what emotions are coming up and what did I just do to cause that? Break my rules, too much risk, etc. 6) Don’t have distractions when trading. Listen to yourself. We have become so detached from ourselves that we lose the connection with ourselves not just in trading but in our life. 7) Meditation doesn’t have to just be in a small room. Read Arnold Schwarzenegger’s biography that meditation can be during a workout, or however you are able to bring mindfulness and awareness into your daily life. You don’t just meditate for five minutes and cross it off the list for the day. 8) The inner voice can sometimes be harsh “recommends Napoleon Hill’s book “Outwitting the Devil.” The inner voice isn’t always telling the truth so important to identify it and rise above it. 9) Stopped drinking coffee before trading, since a stimulant and creating more inner turmoil. You don’t need that when you are doing a mental activity against yourself. 10) You need trading rules and have discipline. But ok to introduce something new or change a variable. Explore and help make it exciting and fun. Introduce one new thing at a time (i.e. setting a new stop loss) and do it for 30 trades. Then analyze the results.

Today I teach you 3 things you can do to begin winning with — and within — yourself. If you’re battling with yourself, you’ll always end up on the losing end. There are no two ways about it. You’re either ON your team or you’re NOT. If you’re NOT, then you’re against yourself…and you’re fighting a losing battle. No one wins, especially YOU. Stop fighting. Stop battling yourself. Today’s the day you can stop this, and WIN. You may have heard of the old saying of, “get out of your own way.” I don’t agree with this. This whole idea that you need to be fixed, you're broken, you're missing something, or need someone to complete you, you need to be better, work more, work harder, or whatever it is that you're telling yourself...etc....is simply NOT the whole truth. It's not about being better or best. It's about Being Excellent Starting Today. You be. You start. You keep going. Today. Make a decision. Then take action. Decisions do. Commitment continues. Stop trying to fix yourself. Stop trying to be someone or something else. Stop trying. Stop working against yourself, and work WITH yourself. It's not about YOU being in the way. It's about you BEING the way. That's right, YOU are the way. It’s not that you need to get out of your way. Instead, you must allow yourself to become the way. Isn't that freeing? You don't need more SELF-HELP. You don't need to help yourself. Stop working against yourself. Stop battling yourself. Stop TRYING to help yourself, and simply be yourself. Care for yourself. When you care for yourself, you won't care about all these other things that DON'T MATTER. YOU matter. What must you do in order to stop battling yourself? Here are 3 things you can begin doing today... 1. Forgive yourself. For the past. For the present. For the future. This may sound easier said than done. However, it's easier done than said. It's absolutely easier done than NOT DONE. Face it. YOU are the ONLY person that’s been with you from the beginning, and must be with you until the end. So you might as well get along. Release yourself to be who you are. Be the way. Meet yourself where you are today. Letting go of the YOU that you were yesterday, and embracing who you are today, by forgiving yourself. Recognize yourself today, and release yourself into becoming who you are today and tomorrow. 2. Make a decision (and commitment) to be your best friend. No matter what. Love yourself. Pursue YOU. REMIND yourself AND ROMANCE yourself. Womance yourself as any great girlfriend — Bestie — would do. Be your BEST GIRLFRIEND. Romance your own life. 3. Free your inner Warrior Princess and unleash your creative power by allowing your dreams and desires to express themselves. Allow HER to express herself. REMEMBER who you are AND REMIND yourself by listening to your heart's desire, your creative nature, your Warrior Princess within you. She's your incredible, passionate, powerful little girl that's showing up as the most divine, brilliant being — the woman that you are today. Stop battling yourself, and start building yourself from the inside, out. Please grab your SACRED S.O.L. D.A.T.E. JOURNAL (Daily Action To Engage yourself.) TODAY’S SACRED S.O.L. STEP: 1. Write yourself a letter of forgiveness. 2. Introduce yourself to yourself, like you're meeting for the very first time. Hi, I am__________________________. Episode 44 - Watching our loved one’s age is never easy. We want them to remain strong, capable, and independent – and they want the same for themselves. They might feel frustrated when they can no longer move around the way they used to – when stairs are more strenuous to climb, meals are harder to cook, hygiene is more difficult to keep up with. We can’t always be there to help – we might not live in the area or just simply don’t have the ability. Not to mention, our parents and grandparents yearn for independence and could be resisting any help offered. But maybe the best way to be independent, is to get a little bit of help. Yes, that might sound like an oxymoron, but the reality is this: if a person has help with everyday tasks, they have more time to focus on things that matter to them – and they’re safer. It’s important to remember that aging is a natural and inevitable process, and that as we watch our parents or grandparents get older, we need to embrace a new way of life that allows them to thrive – even if they need a bit more help than they used to. At some point, that might mean helping them transition from independent living to assisted living or a nursing home. It’s not always obvious when it’s time to make that transition – and in some cases it might seem like an extreme choice to your parents, even if you know that it’s time. Ultimately, though, assisted living or other types of elderly housing will help your parents to feel safer, more comfortable, and hopefully even happier – as they can shift their attention to doing things they love again (just with a little help). In assisted living facilities, our parents or grandparents can have access to the help they need. Whether they are still relatively independent, and just need some help with mobility, or if they need help with tasks like bathing and eating – they will find that an assisted living facility is there for them, so they no longer have to face these difficulties alone. Assisted living also offers a new community to our parents or grandparents – a place where they can meet and make friends with people who are going through what they are. According to the US Census, 11 million seniors live in isolation – which could be affecting their health. Socialization can prevent depression, provide stimulation, strengthen memory, and even help them live longer. According to Lisa Berkman, who led a study by the Harvard School of Public Health on socialization and aging, “people with many social ties have lower mortality rates. We now have mounting evidence that strong social networks can help to prevent declines in memory. As our society ages and has more and more older people, it will be important to promote their engagement in social and community life to maintain their well-being.” Additionally, Berkman’s study found that isolation can weaken immune systems and make a person more susceptible to disease. Some assisted living facilities feel almost like college campuses – groups of friends gathered together in a common area or a library, a painting room or a café, or in an apartment for drinks and laughter – these are communities of people who want to stay engaged and social. When a person moves into assisted living, they are inserting themselves into a network of people that they can connect to. This is something that is much harder to accomplish when living independently. Assisted living could be just what your parent or grandparent needs to thrive again – but it can be difficult to know when it’s time to make that transition or even have the conversation. If our parents are still relatively independent, but just need some extra help, they might be resistant to accepting it. We also might miss some subtle signs that it’s time to make the move. There are some more obvious signs that independent living is no longer working. These tend to fall into a category known as ADL – or activities of daily living. If our loved ones can no longer take the stairs, have trouble transitioning in and out of bed, or need help with eating or using the restroom, assisted living or other type of long-term care facility is necessary. The same is true if they have recently suffered a bad fall or been diagnosed with a debilitating disease like Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s. There are other signs, too, though that we can look out for – red flags that might not seem as immediate but should absolutely be considered. If our loved one is struggling with IADLs – or instrumental activities of daily living – we might also consider helping them make the transition into an assisted living home. IADLs include tasks such as cleaning, cooking, paying bills, mowing the lawn, and socializing. A home is a lot to keep up with – and as our parents age these tasks can be downright debilitating and extremely stressful to accomplish. If you notice that your parent or grandparent is struggling with these activities – or if you sense that the home is just too much to keep up with - it might be time to have the conversation. If our parent no longer has to spend time struggling to clean the house, they can focus on doing things they love – and feel more independent again. Another sign that it’s time to make the move, is if your parent or grandparent is struggling with basic hygiene. If you notice that they are no longer taking care of themselves – whether they are not doing laundry or bathing, not brushing their hair or getting dressed – this could be a sign of something more serious, like depression. An assisted living facility can help them to feel good again. Keeping up with hygiene is essential to being in good spirits – because our parents will feel and look like themselves again. Another sign to look out for is our parent’s pets. Are they receiving proper care? If the pets are no longer being nurtured, tended to, or fed, this is a sign that our parents are struggling and could use an extra hand. Many assisted living facilities allow pets, so this may be the best route to take if you notice an animal is being neglected. It will also be a weight off of your parent’s shoulders, while allowing them to keep their pet (which can provide an enormous comfort to them) without having to worry about tending to it. If you notice that your parents or grandparents are struggling with any of the signs mentioned, it might be time to have the difficult conversation about making the transition. You might find that your loved one feels as ready as you do – they are getting frustrated with the difficulties of daily tasks and are looking forward to some extra help and socialization. If this is the case, that is excellent, and you should move forward with a great deal of support and encouragement – offering to do whatever you can to help with the move. Often times, though, your loved ones might be resistant to the change – especially if they are not struggling with obvious daily tasks. They might feel that moving into assisted living is stripping them of any shred of independence they had left. It’s important to remember that moving into assisted living can actually help them to gain some independence back. According to healthcare writer Lori Johnston, “the truth is that, while moving is a big adjustment, assisted living can help extend a senior’s independence, improve their social life and provide assistance with activities of daily living.” When we first bring up this topic with our parents, it’s important to be patient, gentle, and well informed. Make sure to express that this is not a move to take anything away from them, but rather to enrich their lives and help them thrive again. Phrasing is everything. Remember, we want our parents to feel good about this decision and not forced into it. If we use words such as “community living” instead of “assisted living” this might make a world of difference – because our parents won’t feel like they are losing something. Don’t be afraid to ask your parents questions. Ask them what they will miss about home and see what you can do to bring that part of home to them. If they are afraid of losing a pet, remind them that there are facilities that allow pets. Let them bring their own furniture, paintings, house plants. Remind them that this does not mean they need to lose their sense of home. Another key element of this conversation is to make sure that the decision is ultimately their own. This can be difficult – when we know our parents need help, we want to make sure they get it. Our job is to inform them of their options, including independent living, and what that might mean for their future. If they understand the pros and cons to different types of living, they can make a decision that is best to them. If your parents are less likely to listen to a family member, have a doctor help with the conversation. Many seniors are more likely to take a medical professional seriously – and if they were on the fence, this might just be the extra push they need to make that final move. The fact is, adults value their independence – and if a doctor can convince them that their independence is actually less likely if they remain at home, that could make all the difference. After you and your parents have discussed the move, it’s time to make the transition. There are certain things you can do to make this journey as easy and meaningful as possible – instead of heartbreaking or frustrating. The fact is, moving into an assisted living facility can be something to look forward to – not only will your parent be regaining some of their independence, but they will get to meet new people, try new things, and decorate a new place. You can begin by taking your parent or grandparent on a tour of different facilities – so that they can choose where they will be living. Tours are great for getting your parents excited for this new life stage. They can see other seniors enjoying activities and socializing, and they can start to make plans for how they wish to decorate their new apartment. This will also help them continue to be a leader in their own life – as where they live will ultimately be up to them. Once a facility is chosen, it’s time to start the move. Begin by creating a moving schedule. With the move-in date in mind, strategize about how long it will take you to get everything in order for the move – including packing and having time to settle in. You can also be purposeful when you choose a move-in date. Some days of the week may be less busy – and less expensive – than more popular days, like Saturdays or Sundays. Once you have a date, it’s time to start packing. Have your loved one choose the most cherished possessions they’d like to bring along with them. Go from room to room and pick out a few precious items – being realistic about what might fit in the new space. Assisted living facilities will provide measurements and blueprints of the apartment, so you can easily plan what you need and have space for. Once the logistics are in order, make sure to make time for an emotional transition. Be patient and kind as your loved one makes this move – it’s a lot to take in and saying goodbye to their beloved home is never easy. Allow them space to feel whatever they need to – and make sure they know you are there to support them. To show that you care, you might take the time to make a sentimental gift for them – frame a picture of the home for them to hang in their new apartment, or save a small symbol of the house – like a brick – that they can hold onto, a piece of home to keep with them forever. A simple gesture like that can help our parents to feel loved, safe, and even gain a bit of closure as they move into this next stage of life. During the first few weeks, make sure you help them transition. Introduce them to their new neighbors, meet their caregivers, and choose some activities for them to sign up for. The best way to make this transition as easy as possible, is to get their social life going right away – that way they have something to look forward to and people they want to spend time with. The more engaged they are with their new opportunities, the happier they will feel. Make sure that you stay close with your parents and grandparents even after those first few weeks. Keep up with visits and phone calls. Many seniors worry that they will be forgotten about when their children no longer need to care for them each day – remind them that they are loved, they are treasured, and that nothing could keep you away. Watching your loved one age is never easy – but there are certain steps you can take to keep their lives feeling full and happy. Moving into an assisted living facility is a big one. Of course, it’s not an easy transition, but hopefully, once the move is made – you will find that your parent or grandparent is thriving once again. My mind is preoccupied with past thoughts. This idea is, of course, the reason why you see only the past. No one really sees anything. He sees only his thoughts projected outward. The mind's preoccupation with the past is the cause of the misconception about time from which your seeing suffers. Your mind cannot grasp the present, which is the only time there is. It therefore cannot understand time, and cannot, in fact, understand anything. The one wholly true thought one can hold about the past is that it is not here. To think about it at all is therefore to think about illusions. Very few have realized what is actually entailed in picturing the past or in anticipating the future. The mind is actually blank when it does this, because it is not really thinking about anything. The purpose of the exercises for today is to begin to train your mind to recognize when it is not really thinking at all. While thoughtless ideas preoccupy your mind, the truth is blocked. Recognizing that your mind has been merely blank, rather than believing that it is filled with real ideas, is the first step to opening the way to vision. The exercises for today should be done with eyes closed. This is because you actually cannot see anything, and it is easier to recognize that no matter how vividly you may picture a thought, you are not seeing anything. With as little investment as possible, search your mind for the usual minute or so, merely noting the thoughts you find there. Name each one by the central figure or theme it contains, and pass on to the next. Introduce the practice period by saying: I seem to be thinking about ----. Then name each of your thoughts specifically, for example: I seem to be thinking about [name of a person], about [name of an object], about [name of an emotion],and so on, concluding at the end of the mind-searching period with: But my mind is preoccupied with past thoughts. This can be done four or five times during the day, unless you find it irritates you. If you find it trying, three or four times is sufficient. You might find it helpful, however, to include your irritation, or any emotion that the idea for today may induce, in the mind searching itself.- Jesus Christ in A Course in Miracles, Lesson 8
Pat Quinn shares his incredible insight into how to explode your conversion rate and get more people to say yes to you with the Storybrand structure. Find out how to win more clients and business by telling authentic stories that make your offer so compelling the client will be thinking “I’d thought you’d never ask!” Structure matters. Pat’s goal when he’s working with a speaker is for the audience to engage with the speaker after they’re done which means you need to structure your presentation differently. Engagement can take the form of doing business with you, using your service, or subscribing to your newsletter. The Storybrand formula has four steps: Heart, Head, Hand, and Heart. The first part, Heart, is your opening story where the purpose is not to sell, but to connect. The second, Head, is when you teach and help the audience. The third part, Hand, is where you ask the audience to do something with your call to action. The last part, Heart, is to finish with something inspiring. When you put all these things together you will have a presentation that will make people want to engage with you. Mo used to skip too early to the teaching part of the training but after going through Pat’s training he discovered that the personal story at the beginning is the most important part of the presentation. Everyone wants to be a leader and teach the audience, but you can’t lead until you have paced with someone. Pacing is not teaching or leading or selling, it’s saying that you’ve been where the audience is and understanding how they feel. Every communication you do in your business should be in the four part story format. You have some goals with a presentation but the biggest one is to connect and the best way to accomplish this is through episodic storytelling. The three goals of your opening story are to be ordinary, be extraordinary, and to show your why. Ordinary means showing you’ve struggled with the audience’s problems as well. Extraordinary means that you’ve solved at least one of their problems. If you can show your why and your passion about what you do, you will connect in an emotional way that will make them want to engage with you. Episodic storytelling is telling a story from a first person point of view. The first sentence is incredibly important. The secret is to start in the middle of the action which is the same way that great movies begin. This is very attractive and pulls people into your story in a way that reading off your resume can’t compete with. When you start your presentation in a predictable way, your audience will tune out and stop listening. When you start with a compelling story, you will stand out and rise above the crowd. After your story you still have to help your audience. Give away your best information because if you don’t help them at this point, you don’t build credibility and trust, and there will be no reason for them to believe that you can help them in a longer engagement. Most people think that you have to teach everything you know about the subject but that’s not the case. The person who teaches the most does not win the sale, they just leave their audience scared and confused. The person who wins the sale is the one who helps the most in the time they have. When asked to speak, the very first question you should ask is how much time you have. So many presenters try to cram as much material as possible into a time slot but that’s probably the biggest mistake that presenters can make. It’s vital you know how much time you have to speak. Use less of your time to teach and spend more on connection time and next steps. People do more business with those they like, so spend more time fostering the relationship. Have one simple, clear, and obvious single next step when putting in a call to action. Offering a menu of options leads to confusion. Tell the audience the right next step and make them say yes or no to that. A great presentation is like a sidewalk, it leads the person in front of you down a path to a single point of decision. The fewer options you give, the more people you will get to say yes. Don’t leave the audience wondering what to do next. You’re the expert, tell them the next step and the price that works. The right number of topics is three for the teaching portion of a presentation. Get to the stuff that actually helps people and give them a mix of real solutions that are both simple and complicated, short-term and long-term solutions. Short-term solutions give you instant credibility and long-term solutions lead to lasting results. You should make whatever you are talking about both simple and complicated. Simple so that they believe they can do it. Complicated so that they never try to do it without you. Your offer should be weaved into your content. If you get to the offer and it’s the first time your audience is hearing about it, it’s already too late. Our brains physically change when we detect a sales conversation. There is a second dialogue going on in every room. If your presentation is well designed, organized, and simple the audience is listening with about 20% of their brain. The remaining 80% is made up of everything else going on in their life but a good presentation can steer the second dialogue toward your offer. If you don’t introduce your offer early enough, you’ll surprise people. When you get to the offer at the end of your presentation, the response that you want from the audience is “I thought you’d never ask.” All great presentations have visuals which can take a number of different forms. Concrete deliverables will increase your conversion rate. When you have a deliverable, don’t just touch it and show it, do an “Is, Does, Means”. Tell them what it is, tell them what it does, and then tell them what it means. The money is in the meaning. Introduce the next step early on in your story and presentation. Limit the choices to the option of working with you or not working with you. Avoid declaring that everything will change, instead tell them the things that won’t change. The status quo is the comforting blanket around your offer. Actors and actresses are on stage pretending to be something they’re not. Pat teaches people to be themselves and make themselves more attractive to the companies they want to work with. If you do this you’re not selling, you’re just telling them how to get something they already want. There is no one right way to present. You don’t have to be funny, or glib, or quick witted. You have to know your story, have content that actually helps people, have one thing for them to do next, and every time you speak you will get new clients, more business, and make more of an impact on this world. There are two types of decision makers in every audience, tactical decision makers and emotional decision makers. If you only talk to the tactics you’re only going to get yes half as often as you should. Tell the audience what the offer is and also how it will feel. Close with emotion. The Hand is the tactical close, and the final Heart is your emotional close. Research shows that the emotional close doesn’t last as long as a tactical close. The goal at the very end is to have both aspects of the mind hot and ready to go. Mentioned in the Episode: advanceyourreach.com/growbig GrowBIGplaybook.com

Every Week I hope to support you: Distinguish between when ADHD Neurology or hardwired beliefs and habits that they have developed over the years Show up 100% engaged, no longer drained and distracted Remove the negative self-talk that shows up in times of making big choices So get ready to be inspired, learn about your brain, and start seeing your ADHD as an asset. Website https://proudlyadhd.readysetchoose.com/ Opinion The intro needs some work. Lose the music for the sake of nothing. Introduce the show, You, and the topic. As your audience has a hard time focusing, give us something to trigger the theater of the mind. You had a fair amount of theory and in some cases details that we didn't need. Your star/energy was a bit vague, and I was ready to hear the strategy behind implementing it (and you took a while to get to it). Never tell a kid you have candy, cause they can't focus on anything else). I liked that you admitted you also have ADHD, and I thought a story of how YOU implemented these strategies would've been great as it would've allowed us to get to know you while learning the strategy. You did repeat yourself at one point on what you're going to cover. It's not radio. Nobody tuned into the middle. I do like your conversational tone like you were talking to a friend. In general, fix your intro, and add something to really hook people in. If you'd like a full review of the whole episode, and website please let me know (its a gig extra). What came to be through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race; the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:3–5What a great image for meditation: “...the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” This line completes the unique approach taken by John’s Gospel to introduce Jesus, the Eternal “Word” Who existed from the beginning and through Whom all things came to be.Though there is much to meditate on in the first five lines of John’s Gospel, let’s consider that ending line about light and darkness. Within the material world, there is much we can learn about our Divine Lord from the physical phenomenon of light and darkness. If we briefly consider light and darkness from the perspective of physics, we know that the two are not two opposing forces fighting with each other. Rather, darkness is simply the absence of light. Where there is no light, there is darkness. Similarly, heat and cold are the same way. Cold is nothing other than the absence of heat. Introduce heat and the cold disappears. These basic laws of the physical world also teach us about the spiritual world. Darkness, or evil, is not some powerful force fighting against God; rather, it’s the absence of God. Satan and his demons do not try to impose a dark power of evil on us; rather, they seek to extinguish the presence of God in our lives by getting us to reject God through our choices, thus leaving us in spiritual darkness. This is a very significant spiritual truth to understand, because where there is spiritual Light, the Light of God’s grace, the darkness of evil is dispelled. This is clearly seen in the line “and the darkness has not overcome it.” Overcoming the evil one is as easy as inviting the Light of Christ into our lives and not allowing fear or sin to turn us from the Light.Reflect, today, upon the very real spiritual battle that takes place each and every day within your soul. But reflect upon it in the truth of this Gospel passage. The battle is easily won. Invite Christ the Light, and His Divine Presence will quickly and easily replace any darkness within.Lord, Jesus, You are the Light Who dispels all darkness. You are the Eternal Word Who answers every question in life. I invite You into my life this day so that Your Divine Presence may fill me, consume me and lead me down the path toward eternal joys. Jesus, I trust in You.Source of content: catholic-daily-reflections.comCopyright © 2020 My Catholic Life! Inc. All rights reserved. Used with permission via RSS feed.

In this episode, Jerry Bradshaw discusses: Laying a good foundation for bite work from a young age. Using a flirt pole to emulate prey action to entice the puppy. Encouraging biting with the back teeth through bite progressions. Training before and after, but not during, teething. Focusing on bite mechanics during all aspects of training. Key Takeaways: The puppy needs to know, from a young age, that he is in control of the process. A leather rag is a more slippery bite than a terrycloth roll. By using leather, it teaches the dog to lock the grip in if they want to hold and possess it. Young dogs are super resilient. Introduce items that will become familiar to them from an early age so they can start to hear the noises that will be around. As you progress, the more grips the dog can do per session and the longer they can hold the grip. "The idea is, from the beginning, a dog needs to learn if he's going to do bite work properly, that he's in control of the whole process. It's a very operant process and he has to understand that he's going to be able to push me around, he's going to be able to manipulate me, even if I'm just coming in and trying to steal his little rag." — Jerry Bradshaw Get Jerry's book Controlled Aggression on Amazon.com Contact Jerry: Website: controlledaggressionpodcast.com Tarheel Canine Training: www.tarheelcanine.com Youtube: tarheelcanine Twitter: @tarheelcanine Instagram: @tarheelk9 Facebook: TarheelCanineTraining Protection Sports Website: psak9-as.org Patreon: patreon.com/controlledaggression Slideshare: Tarheel Canine Schedule a Zoom Meeting with Jerry: calendly.com/tarheelcanine The Detection Blueprint: eventbrite.com/e/the-detection-blueprint-with-jerry-bradshaw-tickets-131458488879 Sponsors: ALM K9 Equipment: almk9equipment.com PSA & American Schutzhund: psak9-as.org Tarheel Canine: tarheelcanine.com Train Hard, train smart, be safe.
