Today on the Logan Blackman Show we preview the upcoming fantasy football playoffs. We reveal how many times we made the playoffs this season, as well as go over our path(s) to victory in each league and discuss whether or not we truly finished last in one of the said leagues. Sticking with professional football, we recap the Buffalo Bills third straight (regular season) victory in Arrowhead against the Kansas City Chiefs, with our focus mainly turned towards the offensive offsides call that not only kept the Chiefs from victory, but also potentially effected Travis Kelce's chances at making the Hall of Fame. With that, we take some time to make fun of Patrick Mahomes and co., as their reaction was funnier than anything we could've ever dreamed of. Moving back to the Bills, and the rest of the AFC East, we take some time to go over some of the crazy things that have gone on in the division this week, from Sean McDermott's quote from 2019 to Bill Belichick reportedly getting fired after the season. Finally, we take time to congratulate Jayden Daniels on winning the 2023 Heisman, as well as take a stab at predicting who could take home the award next season. Enjoy!

[17:20] Eagles' Woes: GoJo and Golic dive into the persisting issues plaguing Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles, questioning if the problems are fixable with only four weeks left in the regular season. [22:49] Mike'd Up Monday, presented by Wrangler: GoJo and Golic react to Andy Reid's and Patrick Mahomes' frustrated stance on NFL officiating after the Chiefs' loss to the Bills on an offensive offsides penalty. [29:48] Shohei Ohtani's Mega Contract: GoJo, Golic, and Jessie discuss Shohei Ohtani's record-breaking $700M contract with the LA Dodgers and debunk social media rumors about his potential move to the Toronto Blue Jays. Third down came back to bite Mizzou on offense and defense. It hurts because the Tigers were so close to starting 6-0, but the players should hold their heads high. Brady Cook wasn't perfect, but he and Luther Burden are still among the best combos in the country. Penalties were also a killer, and Jayden Daniels' running was Brad Smith-like. The LSU Tigers defeated SEC West foe Arkansas Razorbacks 34-31 Saturday night in Baton Rouge after a walk-off field goal and second half offensive fireworks led the purple and gold to victory. Which Tigers stood out the most in LSU's second conference win of the season so far? Head coach Brian Kelly gave wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. the game ball after his five reception, 133 yard, and two touchdown performance. Malik Nabers also had a monster day with 8 receptions for 130 yards and a pair of touchdowns of his own. Those two receivers accounted for all four of the Tigers end zone trips on Saturday night. But who gets the Locked On LSU offensive game ball? There is no doubt Nabers and Thomas are quarterback Jayden Daniels' favorite targets and continue to grow their confidence and trust every single week. But there was another offensive player in the purple and gold against Arkansas who maybe didn't have as impressive of a day on the box score but whose impact was felt and necessary in order to get a win against the Hogs. Plus, defensive and special teams game balls. The defense struggled containing Arkansas quarterback KJ Jefferson with his massive 250-pound frame and the secondary allowed several large gains in the passing game. But one incredibly impressive and vital aspect of the defense Saturday night was the red zone defense. Three of Arkansas' trips to the red zone ended in field goals because of LSU's defensive line. LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers had a breakout year in 2022 leading LSU in receiving yards, and for those of you who watched LSU throttle the Purdue Boilermakers in the Citrus Bowl, he also led receivers in touchdown passes thrown. That stat is completely irrelevant to this conversation, but a fun tid bit nonetheless. Assuming Malik Nabers will be Jayden Daniels' favorite target for the second year in a row, who will we see in spring practice that emerges as the go-to guy behind Nabers? LSU returns Kyren Lace, Brian Thomas, and Chris Hilton from the 2022 season. Brian Thomas led that group in receiving yards, but could Lacy breakout after having a year of getting acclimated at LSU after a two year stint with ULL? Or will some of the younger receivers emerge as the biggest threat in the passing game? Two five star recruits, local Catholic High grad Shelton Sampson and Jalen Brown from Miami, are coming in the 2023 class. Will they come into LSU hungry to prove that they are ready for the next level? Or will the second most threatening receiver on the team not even be a WR after all? Mason Taylor was the third leading receiver on LSU's squad in 2022 behind Nabers and Kayshon Boutte. He developed week over week and became a certified threat and trusted receiver. Knowing what we know about Taylor's development and the steps he could take in year two combined with Brian Kelly and Mike Denbrock's affinity for tight ends, will Mason Taylor continue to be one of Daniels' top targets in his sophomore year? LSU football announced that spring practice will begin just under a month away on March 9th leading up to the spring game on April 22 in Tiger Stadium. Now that we can officially look ahead to the preseason, it's time to address some of the biggest questions surrounding LSU football going into Brian Kelly's second season. First, what does the hierarchy in the WR room look like? Malik Nabers had a breakout season in 2022 and emerged as Jayden Daniels' favorite target. Assuming he will be the WR1, which is probably a safe assumption, who is going to be the second go-to guy when Nabers inevitably gets double teamed? Kyren Lacy is going into his fourth year of college football and eased into his first year at LSU just shy of 300 receiving yards. Brian Thomas on the other hand made himself known in 2023, could he be poised for a Nabers-esque break out next season? One of LSU football's biggest problem in 2022 was the special teams unit. We saw the issues arise against Florida State with two muffed punts, a blocked field goal, and a blocked extra point, but the blunders never improved. Whether it was dumb penalties on kick returns or a blocked kickoff in a brutal loss against Tennessee, special teams are a huge question mark and the most important question surrounding them are how will they improve next year? In HOUR TWO of OTB, Matt Flynn joins the show in studio, and he gives his thoughts on Jayden Daniels' progression throughout the season.
After the LSU Tigers lost big to the Tennessee Volunteers at home in Death Valley last week, a lot of questions arose about Jayden Daniels' ability to be a starting quarterback in the SEC and Brian Kelly's in-game decision making. Rightfully so, since Daniels had yet to emerge as a great passer and had shown hesitation of lack of confidence in the pocket. Kelly remained loyal to his starting quarterback, a decision that paid dividends against the Florida Gators when Daniels had undoubtedly his best performance in an LSU uniform. By far. Daniels threw just shy of 350 yards and six total touchdowns, three on the ground and three in the air. Daniels took command of the offense, didn't stress under pressure, and looked confident enough to make the deep ball throws that many LSU fans had been begging him to make all season long. LSU's man under center was fantastic against Florida; on the road, nonetheless. But the greatest question remains: was that a one night thing, or did Jayden Daniels and the rest of the LSU offense finally find a breakthrough? Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!
