Attention, aujourd'hui, on déploie un nouveau format, parallèle au podcast principal. Ce nouveau bébé, nommé JUMPSCARE HOME VIDEO, sortira de manière totalement irrégulière, et est dédié au cinéma de genre en format physique : dvd, blu-ray, etc... C'est forcément un peu plus de niche, mais on ne peut pas ignorer l'importance du média physique dans nos cinéphilies. Il y a même des gens dans l'équipe de chez Jumpscare qui travaillent dans l'édition, et d'autres qui font des bonus! On va donc donner la parole aux kamikazes qui distribuent des films de genre en format physique, dans l'idée d'établir un état des lieux du milieu de l'édition en 2026, et des efforts fournis par une poignée d'irréductibles pour sortir des films sur des disques et pas sur des plateformes. C'est une série de podcasts qui parlera plus à certains qu'à d'autres et on en voudra à personne d'être un peu moins attentif à cette sortie vu qu'on s'adresse principalement aux personnes qui achètent encore du blu-ray, mais on espère que ça vous plaira quand même et qui sait, peut-être que ça vous fera découvrir des films Le premier épisode sera en présence d'Alexandre, le fou derrière ROBOTO FILMS, éditeur spécialisé dans le cinéma japonais. Vu l'actualité, voilà un épisode qui s'imposait de lui-même. D'un côté, les petits filous de chez FACTORIS FILMS prennent un gros risque et sortent en France le légendaire found footage japonais NOROI : THE CURSE, plus de 20 ans après sa sortie au Japon. Film à la réputation culte, passé de disques durs en disques durs pendant des années dans des copies à la qualité plus que discutable, le public français peut enfin découvrir le magnum opus du génial réalisateur Kôji Shiraishi, légalement et en haute définition, attention. De l'autre côté, les grands malades du festival de cinéma ON VOUS MENT ont décidé de marquer le coup pour cette édition entièrement dédiée au found footage... et ont carrément invité Kôji Shiraishi en France pour présenter quelques-uns de ses films (les excellents OCCULT et RECORD OF SWEET MURDER)! Jumpscare est fier d'être partenaire de cette édition et on s'est dit qu'on allait, nous aussi, faire les choses en grand : on reçoit à nouveau Nico, le gérant du festival, pour revenir sur Noroi… et on donne même la parole à Kôji Shiraishi lui-même dans un entretien intégralement traduit et doublé en VF ! Dans le STRIP-TEASE DE LA MORT (titre francophone qui n'arrive pas à la cheville du titre original STRIPPED TO KILL, hommage pas du tout discret au DRESSED TO KILL de De Palma), une flic se fait passer pour une stripteaseuse pour coincer un tueur en série qui décime les danseuses d'un club de strip-tease dans le Los Angeles éclairé aux néons des années 80. Face à une telle production (signée Roger Corman, et réalisée par une jeune Katt Shea), il nous a paru judicieux d'appeler des renforts.
