This is a podcast of two friends telling stories that just might go downhill fast.
This week's episode kicks off with a downhill fast story that involves a small mishap with the baby. It should be said that no baby was hurt, and really a baby was only startled. Poor Rheannon lost track of who all was in the bed, and perhaps mistook a baby in a bouncer for a cat. Tamara tagged along when her brother and niece were getting hair cuts at Great Clips. It maybe wasn't a great hair cut, but it was worth the $20. Tamara and Rheannon like the tv show The Last of Us for different reasons, but they agree that it is filmed beautifully. Tamara makes a birthday suggestion of having mustaches to go along with the cowboy hats. The mustaches reminded Tamara about a time that she went white water rafting, and much like this episode it goes downhill fast.
This episode kicks off with Tamara's fail at "Squid Ink" pasta. It was not good, but new cooking attempt was made and squid was eaten. Although, it was a very smelly cooking process. Rheannon is weighing her options to bake a birthday cake or buying a birthday cake. Tamara supports both options, but at the end of the day what brings the most joy is the most important. Rheannon has been reading a story to her toddler about potty training, and it really came to fruition downhill fast. Traffic at 10 PM is somehow more aggressive than normal rush hour traffic, and Tamara was more tired for it. The episode closes with a tv corner, and let's just say long story long it goes downhill.
This weeks episode kicks off with a couple orange drinks and compliments for Rheannon. She both has adorable children and is building an epic play structure. Rheannon officially loses her first workout challenge and Tamara is excited to dish up the next cooking challenge. Rheannon puts a timeline on Tamara having to cook her homemade squid pasta. Tamara tried doing some energy work and is feeling very tired. Rheannon has a lot of doubts about the whole thing. The new treadmill ended up caused some problems for Rheannon, and let's just say that it went downhill fast.
Rheannon is upgrading the office, and the toddler is loving drawing on the chalk wall. However, the toddler now thinks that she can draw on all surfaces. Tamara enjoyed exploring a Chef Store. Some good finds, but also she bought so many energy drinks. Tamara finally made good on her workout challenge lost and made a kale salad. Rheannon has taught her daughter a new trick in the kitchen for when she helps cook. Instead of saying no to everything, as a two year old do, Rheannon has taught her daughter to say yes chef when they are cooking together. Tamara was stuck in line waiting for lemonade, while too many people were taking shots. Fun times as a fundraiser could have gone downhill fast.
Tamara is very excited about her new lamp, even if Rheannon thinks it is over engineered. John makes an appearance on the pod, and like a good dog doesn't bark but hangs out. Tamara lost a week of the workout challenge, so Rheannon decides her cooking challenge for the next week. Tamara is enjoying her canned boba drink, but is not sure what types of balls are in the boba. Rheannon has been working hard on building a new fence with new tools and a laser level. Probably should have used some safety goggles, but luckily no serious injuries. Rheannon does her best to motivate Tamara in the workout challenge by outlining what her cooking challenge will be if she looses again. Rheannon is fighting for her life with two kids adjusting to day lights saving.
This week's episode kicks off with Tamara sharing a fun visit with her friend and her twin boys. Twins are wild because they can learn from each other and you can see them always watching. Rheannon was coasting this week winning the work out challenge. Tamara tried to work out with new shoes, but was gifted two right shoes. Rheannon is struggling with her daughter learning bad tricks from the cats. Tamara is struggling to keep her apple watch charged and working out for the workout challenge. It is going downhill fast.
This episode starts off with some modification to the workout challenge due to Tamara having an ear infection in both ears. Rheannon is crushing it, while Tamara is struggling being sick. Tamara does a run down of the difference of the book and movie of Wicked. Additionally, a small rabbit hole around the history of the movie The Wizard of Oz. Tamara waited to watch Wicked until after she saw the play on Broadway. She took a train from Boston to spend 10 hours in New York City to see specifically Mary Kate Morrissey. There was also a trip to a museum and Stardust Diner, but the big excitement for the trip was to see Wicked. From the end of the play there was only 59 minutes before Tamara's flight back to Boston finished boarding. Would she make it? Or does the trip go downhill fast? Not to mention the night skiing or the trip to Vegas.
In this week's Downhill Fast, Tamara and Rheannon reunite for a live, in-person episode! Tamara's journey to get to Rheannon was one for the books from forgetting her wallet to battling the elements, it was anything but smooth sailing. Meanwhile, Rheannon shares updates on the ski trip hotel stay (yes, Tamara eventually made it there… 24 hours later). But the real plot twist? Tamara's book club discussion took a turn for the spicy!

They also dish on trust-breaking movie picks like Nightbitch and questionable TV shows like Midnight Mass. Add in a dash of name-amnesia (hello, “Mrs. Stark”?), and you've got a jam-packed episode guaranteed to go downhill fast in the best way possible.
This week's episode kicks off with Tamara opening some wine and Rheannon get's into her attempt at a magical Christmas. Is it possible to be sick two year's in a row for Christmas? It absolutely is. It goes epically downhill fast and it brings down the whole house. A very happy toddler with a piece of pizza went into the truck, but things change on a dime when a Costco cup is not enough to catch the puke. Two car seats were taken out of commission before all was said and done. Tamara had mixed success with shopping online, but had the most fun with a 22 minute shopping trip for last minute Christmas Eve shopping. After having days of leftovers Tamara made her own chopped challenge to repurpose leftovers. Additionally, she had her own technical baking challenge when she wanted to make her Mom's homemade frosting, but her Mom doesn't have a recipe. It was all by measuring by eye and looking at it the sheen of the frosting. Tamara had a lot of fun and her Mom thought she was taking it a little too seriously. Season eight comes to a close with terms agreed to for a new podcast challenge for the new year that will likely go downhill fast.
This week's episode kicks off with a spa comparison. Rheannon got out of a sauna bag to come podcast while Tamara visited a spa the day before for four hours. Rheannon has a lot of concerns, but Tamara was unbothered. While trying to be healthy Tamara accidentally ordered the wrong drink. What she thought was juice was a red vinegar blueberry tea. Rheannon wasn't sure what to expect taking her daughters to Santa, but she was not prepared for the stranger danger that her toddler would experience. Santa was doing his best to win over both kids, but it goes downhill fast. Let's just say between the tears and the side eye it was one hell of a photo.

Rheannon got a phone call for some venting, but then she took the side of Tamara's Mom. Tamara did repay her folks by helping put up Christmas lights. Rheannon thought the 30 year old ladder was very questionable. Rheannon is getting ready for annual viewing of Happiest Season. Tamara has some other holiday rom-coms recommendations that feature a queer love story. After watching 20+ movies in November Tamara has some good movies to watch and some movies to skip. Then we get to the very exciting life update of Rheannon's second baby has been born. It was all fun and games until the nursing staff takes away your water, and then it means baby is coming that day. Both Moms and both kids are doing well and adjusting to life as a family of four. Rheannon has settled in and found a new use for a nerf gun, as the journey continues of trying to train the cats to staff off the counter. The projects continue as Rheannon is building a GIANT play structure. This is an extra long episode, that does go downhill fast.
Disclaimer: This episode was recorded before the US election, so we were predicting the election before the election results were in. This episode kicks off with Tamara enjoying a victory Root Beer for her preceived Fantasy Football win. The game was not over, but Tamara likes living on the edge of heckling before the game is over and the true winner is known 100%. Rheannon wanted to know if Tamara has a crush on Steve Kornacki. She loves the stats and this era that we live in that appreciates a nerd. Rheannon is currently losing to Tamara in Fantasy Football. Let the heckling begin. Tamara does make the mistake of siding against Rheannon on how late Thanksgiving is this year, but she is also going rouge and putting up her Christmas tree ASAP. Tamara wants to win a prize for reading Rheannon's mind to guess what actor she is talking about. Spoiler alerts if you have not finish Agatha All Along. Rheannon didn't love it, and to no one's surprise Tamara really liked it. Rheannon is raising a very independent left handed baby. Tamara had a lot of fun being the fun aunt and saying yes to everything the baby asked for. The pod wraps up with some stress at the end of Monday night football. Rheannon hoping for extra time, while Tamara wants the game to end to cement her victory. It definitely goes downhill fast.
Tamara was living her best life in cute swimsuit and hot tub life. Winning Fantasy Football this week for Tamara came down to one last receiver needing 22 points on Monday Night Football. It was very stressful, but Tamara pulled out the win. Tamara shares how great it was to see her favorite band in concert. Even if it was bittersweet that the Band Joseph was going from a trio down to a duo. It will always be Tamara's favorite bad, but it did feel like an end of an era. Rheannon started a project to put up permanent holiday lights, that might have needed a giant ladder. Rheannon is afraid of heights, so she did have to call in some backup to climb the ladder for her. The remodel extended to the kitchen and one of her daughters favorite toys. It is important to be a positive role model for your daughter, and that extends to a new idea for a project that will help the kids grow into strong independent women. It might involve learning to drive stick shift and how to repair your own car. Even if the project goes downhill fast there will be a lot of learning and laughter along the way.
This week's episode kicks off with Tamara unboxing of her first ever TikTok purchase. The unbox perhaps wasn't the most exiting, but Tamara is very exciting for her new foot massager. Tamara continued her activities by trying two new "healthy" drinks. One was a green juice and one was a water. What could possibly go wrong. Tamara had a great time visiting the zoo with family. Rheannon's baby has learned a new party trick. She is climbing to new heights! You give a baby a tower to climb on, and she just might want to climb on everything. Rheannon had a fun night with fam cooking soup dumplings and cookies. The cookies were a hybrid of chocolate chip cookies and sugar cookies. Rheannon is struggling to sneak snacks in her own house, because the baby wants comes running wanting a snack. Rheannon tried to send her niece home with a bow and arrow. Her sister wasn't having any of it. All bows and arrows need to stay now at the fun aunts house. Rheannon is still on the hunt for more bows. She is raising a bunch of Katniss Everdeens. Rheannon is trying to trade a bounce house for nerf funs. What could go wrong? It will 100% go downhill fast.
This week Tamara is still struggling with the Fantasy Football. Her tactic of picking players just because she likes them isn't working. Also, she doesn't have the patience to keep players after one bad week. Rheannon didn't celebrate until the week was finally over, because she learned her lesson from last week. Tamara was very frustrated to watch a football game, that she had already listened to on the radio. However, she got out voted and thus ended her birthday week by not being able to pick the movie. Rheannon was right about using movers to move and hot tubs are great! Tamara is slowly getting moved in to her new apartment and loving it. Rheannon is struggling with entertaining the baby while she cooks dinner. It is the new cooking challenge to open tiny packages as quick as possible to cook while the toddler is watching.
