Co-Host Nick Shelton (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/introvert) A whole lot of guys who aren't exactly where they want to be with women are introverts by nature. But here's the deal...most of the time they aren't seeing the success they want because they either THINK introverts aren't as good with women, or they've been TOLD introverts aren't good with women. My returning guest Nick Shelton literally wrote the book on this subject, and he and I are all about empowering YOU to have the kind of women you really want in your life. First off, what are the misconceptions about introversion? What if you're an 'ambivert', and your frame is somewhat variable from situation to situation? Why are the new paradigms for not only socializing but workplace environments a very real paradise for introverts? And what about social media? Even though it doesn't involve physically interacting with a big crowd of people, it still seems to be the extroverts who are drawn to it. What's up with that? Can introverts actually be better in first date situations than extroverts, or is it purely about how much dating experience we have? Should introverts try to be more extroverted? Or is there actually a much simpler, imminently more workable solution that's been hiding in plain sight this whole time? If you haven't already, get on my calendar and talk to me for about half hour for free. https://mountaintoppodcast.com === HELP US SEND THE MESSAGE TO GREAT MEN EVERYWHERE === The content in this show is NEVER generated by AI. If the Dos Equis man could be manifested in real life, it would be Nick Shelton. Nick is a communication and social strategy coach, helping introverts, shy and socially awkward people, upgrade their lives, and lifestyles. Nick grew up as a shy guy in Texas, so shy in fact, that his teachers thought he was deaf / mute and put him in a special needs class! Ironically, it was here where he learned some sign language. A complete introvert, Nick wanted to elevate his social circle, and his life. However he had no idea how to do it. So what did Nick do? Through trial and error, Nick developed a step-by-step method for social networking, and elevating one's lifestyle. Over 20 years, Nick has accumulated all these experiences, and wrote a best selling book “An Introvert's Guide to World Domination”. Want to sail around on a yacht? Drive around in a Mazzerati? Hang around with jet pilots? Nick's superb methodology breaks it all down step by step and gives you the tools to elevate your own life, and achieve the unexpected. Be seen. Be known. Be remembered. She worked hard all the time. In fact, there were few employees as conscientious as her. Always early to work, one of the first in and one of the last out. Always hit her targets and nice to everyone but not very talkative. Always lost out on promotions to the more extroverted employees. A valued employee who didn't feel valued. She had aspirations, but she felt ignored and taken for granted. So when she was made a better offer by a competitor who showed that they listened to and valued all of their employees and not just the loudest ones, she left.Did you know that there is a 33% productivity gap caused by ignorance of introversion?Introverts can have a hard time in the workplace when many business cultures favour extroverts and assume loud confidence to be better than quiet confidence. My guest for this episode is Jon Baker, and Jon is on a mission to help businesses value and listen to their introverted employees more. About one-third of the workforce are introverted, and very often, they are finding it hard to rise through the ranks unless they make themselves more extroverted.Jon believes businesses can and should do a better job of managing their teams and meetings to make sure all voices are heard and that valuable voices are not ignored because of the people who love to speak more. Introverts can still make great leaders and can still be great communicators. We also talked about ninja networking for introverts and becoming a go-to expert in business marketing in a world where there are so many fakers. It's a fun conversation whether you're an introvert or an extrovert. Jon has written several books on these topics and is a great speaker and trainer. If your business needs to manage better and recognise their more introverted employees, Jon is the man to help. You can visit his website http://introvertinbusiness.co.uk/ or connect with him on LinkedIn.Jon's book recommendations are The E-myth by Michael Gerber, which I fully agree is a great read and The Introverts Guide to World Domination by Nick Shelton, which I shall add to my ever-expanding must-read list.If you enjoyed the show, please share it with your network.
