14. februāri Liepājas koncertzālē "Lielais dzintars" Liepājas Simfoniskais orķestris programmā "Bēthovens un Bartoks. Dialogi orķestrim" tiksies ar igauņu diriģentu Risto Jostu un Londonā dzīvojošo ukraiņu pianistu Nikitu Burzaņicu, kurš 2023. gadā Jāzepa Vītola VIII Starptautiskajā pianistu konkursā ieguva 3. vietu un Liepājas Simfoniskā orķestra simpātiju balvu. 2022. gadā mūziķis saņēma Bēthovena medaļu par izcilu Bēthovena mūzikas interpretāciju. Koncertā Nikitas lasījumā skanēs Bēthovena Ceturtais klavierkoncerts, un Bēthovenam bija veltīta arī saruna ar LR3 "Klasika". Nikita Burzaņica: Bēthovens ir viens no maniem mīļākajiem komponistiem. Runājot par klasisko repertuāru, dodu priekšroku Bēthovenam, nevis, piemēram, Mocartam vai Haidnam, jo, spēlējot Bēthovenu, jūtos pārliecinātāks, man šķiet, ka spēlēju mūziku, ko patiešām saprotu. Bēthovens var būt arī Dusmīgais Bēthovens, piemēram, Piektajā simfonijā vai vairākās sonātēs, piemēram, op. 111, bet Ceturtajā klavierkoncertā viņš ir Priecīgais Bēthovens. Viņš nedomā ne par ko - tā ir vienkārši priecīga mūzika. Domāju, ka saprotu Bēthovenu, tāpēc man tik ļoti patīk viņu spēlēt. Orests Silabriedis: Liekas gan, ka Ceturtais klavierkoncerts ir viens no sarežģītākajiem Bēthovena darbiem fantāzijai līdzīgā rakstura dēļ. Pilnīgi piekrītu - man Bēthovena Ceturtais koncerts ir visgrūtākais saprašanai, jo, izņemot otro un trešo daļu, tam īsti nav tipiskas struktūras. Pirmajā daļā ir milzīgs daudzums nošu, un tā ilgst apmēram 20 minūtes, kas Bēthovenam ir diezgan neparasti. Nedomāju, ka tas ir tehniski visgrūtākais koncerts, bet psiholoģiski šo mūziku saprast ir sarežģīti. Un kā ar otrās daļas noslēgumu? Kā jūs to atrisināsiet? Ir ļoti interesanti salīdzināt, cik atšķirīgi pianisti interpretē pēdējās trīs skaņas. Es turu fadiēzu, jo man tā ir šīs daļas sāpīgākā vieta. Tas atrisinās uz mi, šis mi pakāpeniski izzūd un tad pāriet uz trešo daļu attacca. Vai varat mūsu klausītājiem pastāstīt par Bēthovena medaļu, ko saņēmāt pirms četriem gadiem? Tolaik studēju Karaliskajā Mūzikas koledžā, un mums bija koledžas iekšējais Bēthovena konkurss. Es to uzvarēju, un pēc tam mani uzaicināja piedalīties starpkoledžu konkursā, kur piedalījās visu koledžu Bēthovena konkursu uzvarētāji. Arī šajā konkursā uzvarēju. Spēlēju op. 111, un obligātais skaņdarbs bija kāda no bagatellēm, ja nemaldos. Ar sonāti es ļoti smagi strādāju. Kur jūs glabājat šo medaļu? Kopš tā laika esmu četras reizes pārcēlies. Bet zinu, kur medaļa atrodas. Tā nav plauktā, bet koferī kopā ar pārējām medaļām. Dzīvoju Londonā, daudz ceļoju un bieži mainu dzīvesvietu, tāpēc man vēl nav tai pastāvīgas vietas. Vai vēl studējat? Esmu beidzis studijas, bet joprojām apmeklēju nodarbības pie sava profesora. Pastāstiet par savu profesoru. Es studēju pie Dmitrija Aleksejeva, un arī tagad apmeklēju nodarbības pie viņa. Man viņš ir labākais pedagogs Anglijā vai pat pasaulē. Sākumā Aleksejevs nebija pārliecināts, vai mani uzņemt savā klasē. Bakalaura studiju laikā es nespēlēju tik labi, biju jauns un, kā saka, vairāk slaistījos nekā spēlēju. Bet viņš tomēr piekrita mani uzņemt, un tad sāku daudz vairāk strādāt, progresēju, un viņš bija ļoti apmierināts. Viņš pat teica Vanesai Lataršai, Karaliskās Mūzikas koledžas Taustiņinstrumentu nodaļas vadītājai, ka ir ar mani ļoti apmierināts un ka man iet ļoti labi. Esmu par to priecīgs. Pirms dažām dienām Londonā spēlējāt šo klavierkoncertu. Vai tā bija pirmā reize? Jā, tā bija pirmā reize ar orķestri. Laba pieredze. Ansambļa ziņā tas ir daudz vieglāks nekā Trešais klavierkoncerts: ir tikai četras vai piecas vietas, kur diriģentam un man tiešām jāskatās vienam uz otru. Jaunas mūzikas apgūšanu sāku ar lasīšanu no lapas un īpaši Bēthovena gadījumā cenšos uzreiz iemācīties no galvas, jo tas nav kā Rahmaņinovs vai Prokofjevs, kur vajag vairāk laika iegaumēšanai. Bēthovenam ir sistēma un, lai gan iegaumēt nav viegli, harmonisko plānu saprast nav sarežģīti. Tāpēc vispirms iegaumēju notis, un tikai tad sāku eksperimentēt ar mūziku. Kad droši zinu, ko spēlēju, tad sāku pētīt muzikālo saturu. Vai vienmēr spēlējat no galvas? Jā, tas man ir noteikums. Studējot pie Dmitrija Aleksejeva, nekad negāju uz nodarbību ar notīm. Man vienmēr bija jāspēlē no galvas. Ja nebiju iegaumējis, negāju uz nodarbību. Citi studenti varbūt gāja un spēlēja no notīm, bet man vispirms bija jāiemācās no galvas, un tad mēs ar profesoru varējām strādāt dziļāk. Ko atceraties par Liepāju? Liepāja ir ļoti jauka. Man gan īsti nesanāca to izpētīt, jo bija konkurss un mēģinājumi. Bet man patika. Pilsētas centrs ir mazs, bet ļoti mājīgs, īpaši āra bāri. Jā, varbūt ne šajā gadalaikā. Konkurss notika oktobrī. Bija silts. Atceros, ka arī ļoti vējains. Jā, Liepājā vienmēr ir vējains. Kā vērtējat sadarbību ar orķestri? Brīnišķīgi. Man ļoti patika orķestris un arī koncertzāle, tā ir iespaidīga. Liela, bet uz skatuves nejūties saspringti. Un īpaši tas dzintars - ēka tik skaisti veidota, tādā kā apļa formā. Es domāju - kā viņi to dabūja gatavu? Kāda ir jūsu ikdiena Londonā? Daudz staigāju, mācu klavierspēli, vingrinos un kopumā esmu ļoti apmierināts. Strādāju mūzikas studijā par klavieru pedagogu ar bērniem un pieaugušajiem. Ar tiem, kas negrib kļūt par profesionāļiem? Ceru, ka atradīsies arī kāds, kurš grib kļūt par profesionālu pianistu. Bet jā, vairāk tas ir amatieru līmenis, lai gan man ir arī ļoti attīstīti audzēkņi. Studijā, kur strādāju, man parasti uztic tieši spēcīgākos skolēnus. Pastāstiet par ģimeni. Vai visi ir mūziķi? Jā, visi. Pat mana vecmāmiņa bija pianiste. Tā ir ģimenes tradīcija. Mana mamma ir pianiste, un Ukrainā es mācījos pie tās pašas profesores, pie kuras mācījās mamma. Skolotāja pazina mani kopš viena gada vecuma. Tēvs ir trompetists, brālis pianists, vecmāmiņa pianiste, tēvocis saksofonists: mums ir mazs orķestris. Nespēlēt neko nebija iespēju. Vai bērnībā jums patika mūzika? Sākumā nē. Kad esi mazs, gribas spēlēt futbolu. Es gribēju kļūt par futbolistu un spēlēju futbolu starp klavierstundām. Bet, kad 2015. vai 2016. gadā pārcēlos uz Lielbritāniju mācīties Velzas katedrāles skolā, sapratu, ka tā jau ir mana profesija. Biju tur viens un neko citu bez mūzikas nepratu. Man bija jāspēlē labi, citādi nevarētu izdzīvot. Un tad manā galvā kaut kas noklikšķēja. Vai jūsu ģimene arī pameta Ukrainu? Jā, 2023. gadā es viņus uzaicināju uz šejieni. Viņi dzīvo Lielbritānijā, bet ne Londonā. Vai jums ir kas svarīgs sakāms Latvijas auditorijai par Ukrainā notiekošo? Ļoti ceru, ka šis muļķīgais, absurdi bezjēdzīgais karš drīz beigsies un mēs visi varēsim atgriezties vai vismaz apciemot Ukrainu. Varbūt ne dzīvot, jo esmu šeit iekārtojies un, visticamāk, neatgriezīšos Ukrainā pastāvīgi, bet ļoti vēlos atkal apmeklēt Ukrainu. Mani vecvecāki joprojām ir Doneckā, tāpēc ceru, ka karš beigsies un cilvēce spēs turēties kopā. Jūs nākat no ļoti sarežģīta Ukrainas reģiona. Līdz kādam vecumam dzīvojāt Doneckā? Līdz 14–15 gadu vecumam. 2015. gadā pārcēlos, jo uzvarēju konkursā Kijivā, pēc kura bija vasaras skola Velzā. Man piedāvāja pievienoties skolai ar pilnu stipendiju no septembra, un es piekritu. Aizbraucu 15 gadu vecumā. Vai Londonā ir kas īpašs, kas jums patīk? Patlaban esmu pieradis pie Anglijas un Londonas. Man patīk iespējas, kas pieejamas Londonā, to ir vairāk nekā Ukrainā, bet, no otras puses, tās ir grūtāk iegūt. Tev jābūt jau pazīstamam vai arī tevi vajag pamanīt kādam ietekmīgam cilvēkam, kurš šīs iespējas piedāvā. Pianistu līmenis ir ļoti augsts, tāpēc jāpieliek lielas pūles, lai būtu starp labākajiem. Redzēju jūsu mājaslapā koncertus Itālijā un Spānijā. Kā jūs iegūstat šīs iespējas? Anglijā mani atbalsta vietējā pianistu biedrība. Nesen spēlēju Florencē - tieši savā dzimšanas dienā, 22. janvārī. Viņi vienkārši uzrakstīja vēstuli, šeit mani jau mazliet pazīst. Vai ir kāds mūzikas laikmets, kas jums patīk vairāk nekā citi? Agrīnais 20. gadsimts: Rahmaņinovs, Prokofjevs. No agrākiem - Bēthovens. Man patīk arī Ravels - nesen pirmo reizi spēlēju Gaspard de la nuit un uzvarēju Ravela konkursā. Tagad spēlēju Rahmaņinova Trešo koncertu: tas nav tehniski grūts, bet tur vajag lielu izturību, jo gandrīz 45 minūtes jāspēlē bez apstājas. Man patīk šāds stils. Vai domājat arī par ukraiņu komponistiem? Agrāk man nebija iespējas tos iepazīt. Mūsu reģionā ukraiņu mūziku īpaši nemācīja. Tāpat arī Kijivā un Ukrainas rietumos par mūsu gala komponistiem īsti nezina. Tikai pēc pārcelšanās uz Lielbritāniju, īpaši pēc 2022. gada, sāku to vairāk iepazīt, jo visi mani draugi ir ukraiņi un viņiem patīk spēlēt un klausīties ukraiņu komponistu mūziku. Jaunībā zināju tikai Skoriku, jo uzvarēju Skorika konkursā. Tagad zinu Ļatošinski un citus. Varbūt arī Silvestrovu? Jā, bet patlaban koncentrējos uz konkursiem, un tur vajag augstu spēles līmeni. Koncertiem Silvestrovs būtu lieliska programma, bet konkursiem diez vai. Vai jums patīk konkursi vai tie ir tikai solis nākotnei? Man patīk, jo esmu azartisks cilvēks, patīk sacensties. Pat ja neuzvaru vai netieku finālā, tā ir pieredze. Izdaru labāko, ko varu, un eju tālāk. Vai jūsu nervi ir pietiekami stipri? Jā. Ja bieži uzstājies, konkurss vairs nešķiet kā konkurss. Ja pusgadu neesi spēlējis un tad ej uz skatuves, jūties satraukts, grūti koncentrēties. Tas tāpēc, ka esi zaudējis skatuves izjūtu. Ja to dari regulāri, viss ir kārtībā. Tad nav jādomā par sacensību, tas ir vienkārši mazs koncerts.

John Gaspard is an author, filmmaker, and podcaster. His latest book, Held Over:Harold and Maude at The Westgate Theater, documents how Minneapolis'Westgate Theater extended the run of a box-office flop until it became a cultfavorite, drawing celebrity visits, superfans, and neighborhood protests.He writes two mystery series: the ten-book Eli Marks Mystery Series, featuring amagician-turned-detective, and the three-book Como Lake Players Mystery Series, set in a community theater where backstage tensions turn deadly.On Behind the Page: The Eli Marks Podcast, he hosts interviews with entertainers,magicians and others, along with readings from The Eli Marks mystery series of novels. They are pilots Reg Mitchell and Keith Boles DFC, and navigator-wireless operators Harold “Bunny” Burrows and Martial “Sonny” Gaspard. The recording was made at the Museum of Transport and Technology in Auckland, and the guys share memories and tell stories from their days flying one of the greatest aeroplanes of all time. As well as war stories, Keith and Bunny also talk about ferrying Mosquitoes to New Zealand after the war. You will also hear Peter Wheeler ask a question too, as he sat in on the interview. Sadly these four wonderful gentlemen have all since passed away. The Ogre uses the boy to attract tourists, whom he transforms into animals and then kills. Gaspard escapes with a donkey and a dog that he has grown fond of, and in an enchanted manor, he meets the spirit of Queen D. Maria I of Portugal. Meanwhile, enraged, the Ogre sets off in pursuit.I had the distinct pleasure of sitting down with filmmaker Eugène Green to talk about the origins of the story and so very much more....
