Here is the feedback we received:Cindy wrote in with this feedback: “My family of 4 attended in late August. My husband and teen boys have done an after hours event but not a MNSSHP. I have. So they had no preconceived notions about what a Halloween event at Disney should be like. They are not really into parades and whatnot, so we basically went for the low wait times. If that is what you are after, then Boo Bash is worth every penny. We basically walked on everything. I think our longest wait was 15 minutes and that was for Mine Train. BUT if you love all of the parades and fireworks and stage shows that normally come with MNSSHP and you don't really care about rides, then you will probably be disappointed.”Cheddar from the Big CheeseBrenda: The Epcot International Festival of the Arts is scheduled for January 14 - February 21, 2022! Now, here's the rundown of what we talked about: Updates from last week:In the Facebook Group, the things that people wanted to do most in the Never Have I Ever category are the behind the scenes tours when they are back!Brenda's guests left us a great comment on what the Cast Members are looking for to be chosen to be the Grand Marshall of the Parade: What they've told us is that they look for:1. People without little kids. They typically don't pick kids because of the time commitment. It takes about 2-4 hours.2. Leisurely stroll into the park. We stop at Starbucks to get a drink and take in Main Street before entering the park.3. Show the Disney spirit! We typically wear matching shirts, ears and sometimes shoes too.4. The last time we were picked he followed us from Main Street to the Haunted Mansion (it was his favorite ride). We've had different people pick us each time. Cheddar from the Big CheeseMike: Walt Disney World Annual Passes will be going back on sale starting September 8th! They have 4 types of passes, three of which are for Florida Residents or DVC Members only. DeeDee was very much Walt's poodle, and she would follow him everywhere. When he would come home from work, Walt would take two hot dogs -- called Weenies by Walt -- and eat one and give one to DeeDee. What Walt noticed was how she would follow exactly where the weenie was moved. Walt took that memory and told it to the WED designers for Disneyland that he wanted to lead the Guests to move to certain areas of the park, and the concept of Disney Weenies was born.Sophie's Favorite Disney WeeniesEPCOT's Fountain of NationsMagic Kingdom's Cinderella Castle at Christmas at nightThe Grand Floridian ResortBrenda's Favorite Disney WeeniesHollywood Studio's Tower of TerrorThe Contemporary Resort Monorail trackAnimal Kingdom's Hallelujah MountainsMike's Favorite Disney WeeniesAmerican Adventure PavilionAnimal Kingdom's Expedition EverestMagic Kingdom's Space MountainThis Day in Disney History for June 28Walt Disney writes to all of the staff, inviting them to the opening of Disneyland on July 17, 1955.Disney Who's Who CharacterLightning McQueen from CarsWalt Disney Quote“The important thing is the family. Some of those names that came through his program are household names:Brad Bird (Directed The Incredibles, Incredibles 2, Ratatouille, Tomorrowland)Don Bluth (The Rescuers, Pete’s Dragon)Tim Burton (The Nightmare before Christmas)Ron Clements (The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, The Princess and the Frog)Andreas Deja (Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King)Glen Keane (Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Tangled)John Lasseter (Toy Story Franchise, Cars Franchise, Pixar)It is because of that training program that he earned the nickname “The Beloved Mentor”Eric Larson retired in February, 1986 after 52 years with Disney -- making him the last of the Nine Old Men to retire. Sadly, he passed away just two years later."No one was more concerned with passing on the Disney legacy than Eric." -animator Andreas DejaBrenda’s Selection: John LounsberyBorn: March 9, 1911 Birthplace: Cincinnati, OH (but raised in Colorado and loved the outdoors)Died: February 13, 1976 (at the age of 64)College: The Art Institute of Denver AND Art Center School of Design in Los Angeles. One of his instructors was very impressed with him and he sent him to interview with Walt Disney. As the 8th hire of Walt’s Nine Old Men he was hired by the Walt Disney Company on July 2, 1935 beginning as an assistant animator on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Working under Norm Ferguson he quickly became a star animator.
