Mary Bue is a songwriter, Nada yogi, traveler, runner, vegan, retreat guide, music + yoga teacher based out of Minneapolis, often roaming this beautiful world. Named Best Songwriter of 2020 by City Pages, her music touches upon archetypal themes of the human condition: love, loss, triumph, dreams, and the natural world. A longtime student of yoga and psychology, Mary weaves sacred subject matter into her songs, seeking of deeper levels of consciousness, and deep concern for the environment mixed into her sometimes crass, real-world hue. Mary Bue is a registered yoga teacher (e-RYT 500), an indie musician, and a teacher in the Viniyoga tradition, a breath-centered, flowing practice that believes in adapting postures to fit the whole person (not forcing a person to fit into a posture!). Mary received her certification at Whole Life Yoga in Seattle, WA by Tracy Weber, (student of Gary Kraftsow, student of T.K.V. Desikachar) and her 300 hour from Yoga Center Retreat (formerly Yoga Center of Minneapolis). In 2020, Mary received an additional 200 hour certificate in Nada Yoga (the Yoga of Sound) from Nada Yoga School in Rishikesh India. In this episode, Colleen and Robyn sit down with Walter Lübeck. Through his varied training, research and development, and past life recollections, his work has a unique spiritual depth and practical effectiveness. Most of the content of his teachings is based on memories of past life experiences as a spiritual teacher and healer. In various research projects he worked with internationally active scientists on the scientific documentation of the effects of the methods he developed and was thus able to impressively confirm the energetic effects of applications from the fields of “Rainbow Reiki” & “Three Ray Meditation” & “Medicine Buddha Practice.”  Walter is also an avid musician he has released several music productions, teaches shamanic drumming (Magic Power Drums) and singing. Among other things, he plays various drums, drum synthesizers, hand pans, tongue drums, didgeridoo and synthesizers, and Native American flute. He performs regularly in concerts and has recorded several music albums. For many decades he has clothed his mystical experiences in poems and songs, often of a mantra character, which are frequently passed on to his students in his seminars. Contributions by Walter Lübeck have appeared in over 20 journals over the years. Among others in: Connection, Reiki Magazine (German), Reiki Magazine (USA), Spirit-Online, Angel Magazine, Grenzenlos, Tantra Magazine, Vigeno, Spirit & Healing, LebensArt. Since the year 2000 had developed a range of radionics products, spiritual technology, under the name of “Goddess Radionics” which help humans, animals, and plants to better cope with the multiple stresses of the environment, make vibrational essences of all kinds themselves, and create personal power places. This gift was given to him on a trip to Rishikesh (India) by the Goddess of the river Ganges. Goddess Radionics brings various healing structures of Divine Light into the material world through unique sacred graphics. In recent years, Walter Lübeck has expanded Goddess Radionics into the realm of video art. Thus, he artistically depicts a rich variety of healing spiritual processes on various topics of daily life and soul development, most of which are available free of charge on his YouTube channel in several languages for spiritually interested people, Walter Lübeck lives in the north of Germany in the midst of a beautiful landscape, which is crisscrossed with ancient places of power and mystical sites, which he likes to visit. He teaches at his Rainbow Center in Hameln as well as at various spiritual centers in Germany when he is not working internationally. Many of his courses are also held as multimedia webinars. He teaches in German and English. Walter Lübeck accompanies his students to enlightenment and spiritual realization and supports them in difficult stages of the path, such as the integration of mystical experiences, the rising of the Kundalini or enlightenment experiences. Hemant Singh is the founder of Punyah Yoga, a leading yoga teacher training school in Rishikesh India. I first took classes with Hemant in Rishikesh in 2018, and continued to take a daily ashtanga course with him for nearly a month. I was struck by the strength of his teaching and by his presence in the shala. He has a keen eye for the tiniest details of each asana and his presence makes you know that he is always watching each infinitesimal movement you make. I certainly progressed in asana practice under his teachings. I returned to Rishikesh in 2019 and continued to take classes with Hemant, and completed an Ashtanga alignment and adjustment course with him. We have kept in great touch over the years, and I now am a yoga nidra teacher at Punyah Yoga's online teacher training courses. How about a bit of his biography? Hemant firmly believes that one has to be strongly passionate about learning yoga in order to reap and experience the benefits of the path of yoga. He has practiced under the guidance of many teachers around the world including Prahlada Ji, Yogi Kamal Singh, and Vijay Mehra Ji. He considers Yogi Kamal Singh his Guru in the journey to Ashtanga Yoga and continues to pass on his teachings through Punyah Yoga School. Hemant's classes follow the traditional Ashtanga Yoga Method, as it is taught today, with the particular emphasis on discipline being the first and foremost foundation of a Yoga practice. I was delighted to have Hemant on the Wild Yoga Tribe podcast, to share his philosophies on yoga with you all, dear listeners. What you can expect to learn from conversation with Hemant Singh on this episode of the Wild Yoga Tribe podcast: What yoga is like in India? How is yoga different in India than in the West? The many branches of yoga The relationship between the student and the guru The definition of yoga What seeking a deeper yoga path looks like Going past the body and mind connection Right time, right student, right teacher As Hemant says, “Yoga is a journey. It's very important we don't get lost in the body and mind only. We have to have one strong calling— why am I here? Who am I? What is my real purpose? Then, you can really go deeper into your own roots.” And my favorite quote of the episode— "The body and mind are rented space for the soul." Manish Vyas: India, its Paths, Traditions, Yoga, Music, Mantra, Spirituality

At the beginning, Yoga was not written down anywhere, the teachings were passed by the Guru to a disciple personally. The first books where Yoga is mentioned were the ancient Tantras and later the Vedas, then the Upanishads expanded deeper about it. Based on all this, much later Patanjali wrote the Yoga Sutras (in Sanskrit) as an eight-fold path: yama, niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana, samadhi. Therefore, the meaning of yoga and the path of yoga is not what frequently many think when relating it only to exercise, stretching, bending, breathing practices, or asana. It is so much more than that! The science of Yoga applies itself to all aspects of life. Yoga means choosing a lifestyle of excellence and awareness in everything that we do and live according to that. So ideally, it should to be understood in this direction, in order to focus on this path with an earnest approach and to benefit from it beyond the aspects of the physical plane which are only temporary and worldly in nature. The path of Yoga as any other spiritual path in India is to awaken and eventually come to the realization that we are not the body, so too much focus on the body would defeat its own purpose. The so called 'modernization' does not justify the disappearance of the key and fundamental aspects of Yoga and its nature -- otherwise it would not be Yoga, but something else. This time Manish is interviewing Arpit Agrawal, an experienced Yoga teacher from Rishikesh India who studied in the traditional Bihar School of Yoga, discussing different aspects of Yoga and Yoga learning, which give a clear scenario of the vastness and richness of this tradition. The interview also includes clarifications about types of yoga which have traditionally been part of the true yogic path since ancient times, as well as certain yoga styles which have developed or become popular in the west which are not truly reflecting the real Yoga tradition. One of these is 'Kundalini Yoga'. Although kundalini yoga practices exists in India, they have truly little to do with what became so popular in the USA and then was adopted around the world. That practice is honestly not the real tradition with the roots in our Indian Yoga heritage, and each practitioner should at least have the right to know this, how it developed, where it came from and which practices are authentic and which ones are not, as many styles had been basically developed mainly for yoga-commercialization, packaged in an attractive way to catch followers attention. It is ok if one practices that if one likes it, but one should know what is what.We thank Arpit so much for this interesting and clarifying interview, where we can easily distinguish the pillars on this path, and understand the basis of this amazing practice of Yoga, with roots in ancient India and widely adopted by now in almost each corner of the world."Asana is for sure important, to keep yourself healthy. And we need some kind of flexibility as well, as we say the higher purpose of yoga (asana) is to sit in meditation for longer time, and those things come by the yoga asana. So it's important only for that purpose. But yoga asana is only one limb of yoga, it's not everything. Yoga tells you how to live, how to eat, how to walk, how to practice… everything comes from yoga. It's like developing the awareness on how to do any action." Dr. Kumar’s children were very good musicians growing up, and he supported them and gave them the space to learn music; many in India do not encourage their children to play music because of the economics. He later wanted a place where all aspects of humans can grow, from the musical to the practical to the spiritual. Dr. Kumar says that music can solve many problems of man. Indian classical music in particular can uplift consciousness. He wanted a place where people from all over the world could come to learn music, art, yoga, etc. and the Devi Music Ashram provides an environment for them to do that while spreading love, music, and service. He believes we can combine the best parts of the West with the best parts of the East.

Awakening the Kundalini is something that has intrigued me for some time. Reading about it – it seems to be the holy grail for a Yoga practitioner. There are a number of people who have achieved this state and talk about a gush of energy through the spine. When Kundalini awakens, a person may experience deeper empathy with others, and this empathy can almost become telepathic. There is greater sensitivity, higher energy levels, sometimes psychic abilities or deep knowing, ageing can appear to slow down, creativity and charisma can increase, as can internal peace and knowing. There is a sense of being part of All that Is. The greater mysteries of life are no longer mysteries. So it was exciting to meet Kia Miller – a Kundalini Yoga teacher at the International Yoga Festival in Rishikesh India, the home of Yoga and spirituality. Its absolutely amazing to do Yoga beside the Ganga, absorbing all the positivity! I asked Kia Miller, who has been a model and now a Yoga teacher about her experience with awakening the Kundalini… If you liked what you heard – Id love you to do something. "Samanvay" is a Hindi word with a translation into English: "to come together as a group to work for a common purpose." This episode features perspectives from Megha from Ajmeer, Rajasthan (a state in India), and the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. In this episode, Megha and Amy discuss access to education, self-directed education, and Megha’s journey as an industrial design student at the Srishti Institute of Art Design and Technology. Megha completed her master’s thesis while working in the handicraft sector across several different NGO (non-governmental organizations) projects in different states in India. The word "craft" to Megha is a practice where a group of people share a similar process to create something useful and necessary. Crafts originated from a person within a community contributing to the needs of the community with something they are able to create through their material of choice. This is how the exchange of handcrafts was done in healthier times. Her main motivating factors for her work are what affects people's livelihood, happiness and identity. Looking at all the factors that impact an artisan, Megha feels that anyone can be an artisan, as long as they are informed by the importance of the “Why." Megha’s passions are rooted in sustainability and functionality. She aims to be involved with creating systems that serve the highest agenda: symbiotic relational-systems rooted in values of serving each other, appreciating different products and techniques as art forms, and doing all that through the lens that the practice of using any resource must be sustainable. Greetings from Bali my beloved rainbow Warriors! The monsoon season is upon us and today I saw some of the heaviest rain I’ve seen in my life, and that is saying a lot as I grew up in Hawaii :) And speaking of Hawaii, today’s guest and I have that in common, which makes it pretty funny that we had to go all the way to Rishikesh India to meet each other. Our guest today is Katie Fisher. Katie is an Artist, activist, musician, healer, a practitioner of Chinese medicine, global traveler, facilitator of sound healing. I met Katie at the International Yoga Festival in Rishikesh. I was immediately drawn to her sound healing classes and her set of rainbow wands, or tuning forks as they’re called actually. I attended some of her classes and became more an more intrigued with the techniques she was teaching, and how she was connecting the practices to yoga. We touch on a lot of different topics in the interview like about yoga, Marma points and Acupuncture, the chakras, the Solfeggio frequencies, Cymatics, sound healing, medicine resonance, and Vibration as a healing frequency.  Katie shares some of her toys with us so listen closely and please do your best to ignore the background noise. We sat down in a quiet place or this one and soon after got flooded with some noisy neighbors, so please bear with it because later in the interview we get to some really juicy nuggets you don’t want to miss.. Katie has a sound healing school in Hawaii called  http://hawaiihealingsoundschool.org/. If you’ve been trying to make sense of all the talk about frequencies. Like 432Hz and the Schuman frequency in music these days, you will get some answers in this show. Don’t forget to check the show notes for links to Katie's website,hawaiihealingsoundschool.org, and also a great youtube video ink of another informative interview with Katie. And, if you haven’t jumped into my community group on facebook yet, you are invited. I’ve really activated that group and am doing daily lives sessions in there, teaching all kinds of visionary lifestyle topics, and even doing some live podcast interviews in there. That’s the Visionary Lifestyle and Podcast Community Group on facebook. Please do check it out and come say hi. https://web.facebook.com/groups/visionaryyogaandlifestyle/ I hope you find some inspiration and practical tips and maybe even experience some sound healing through the tones that Katie shares. Enjoy and namaste   School in Hawaii http://hawaiihealingsoundschool.org/ Great youtube interview with more of Katies https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SkaaUvQm4Cg

Greetings Rainbow Warriors, I’m coming to you today from Bali, Indonesia. It’s amazing to be here eating the nourishing tropical fruits, watching sunsets on the beach, and connecting with so many activated rainbow warriors here. Bali really is one of those activated places on the planet, no question. Some say it’s the best place in the world to do healing work, and I believe that. Everything about being here feels nourishing to me. If you haven’t listened to my episodes recorded here at the Bai SPirit Festival, go back and listen to those shows. They’ll give you a real taste of what it’s like to be on the ground here. And coming up after this season from India will be another season of the Bali Spirit Festival, so stay tuned for that. In fact, the last time I saw our guest, was exactly there, even though I met her in Rishikesh India. Our guest today is Pravbavati Dwabha. Dwabha, as she’s called, is an icon of the Rishikesh community. I used to see her around and wonder who she was. She definitely makes an impression. Before we met, each time I saw her I noticed that she seemed to be well known and respected, and as it turned out, she is the force behind this amazing charity I kept hearing about, know as Ramana's Garden. Dwabha has an amazing story and is the embodiment of a karma yogi, living her purpose, taking action to help others. And not just any others, but the poorest of the poor children. Each child that comes through the gate there, arrives because they would be at risk of either being murdered, forced into prostitution, child labor, begging, starvation or total neglect  Dwabha is an inspiration to many, and I have no question, has not only dramatically improved, but also saved the lives of many many children. What she has created with her organic farms, cafe and school, is a testament to her huge compassionate heart, and provides a template, for the difference one person can make, when they follow their inspiration and put it into ACTION. Karma yoga is the yoga of selfless action, actions associated with being of benefit to others. This is SEVA, the act of being in service. If this is a novel concept to you, please go back and listen to the first episode of this podcast, where I guide you through the 7 steps of activating your highest potential, because seva, is one of them. As yogis, and as humans on this earth, it is our responsibility to take of ourselves, so we can take care of each other, to make ourselves healthy so that we can be a beneficial presence on the planet. And our guest is a wonderful role model for this. As I see it, she is fully in her dharma, her purpose, and her actions, are an inspiration. She is a busy woman and I was lucky to get her alone to ask her how it all began and where it’s going in the future. Please do check out the website, and lend your support to this very worthy project. And if you find yourself in Rishikesh, don’t miss the chance to go visit Ramana’s garden. Your heart will be blown wide open, I promise. And watch my instagram feeds for some pics of Ramana’s garden, taken the same day as we did this interview. Her website states: With the diverse foods that exists today, we help folks find food practices that, not only give them healthy nourishing sustenance but a deeper sense of being in connection with their food and their land. Taste Your Roots achieves this through hands on cooking classes, private chef work, conscious caterings' and individual health consultations. In addition, Taste Your Roots is constantly researching and documenting food practices and traditions all over the world. The information gathered is intertwined in classes and used to help us understand the importance of food traditions and the information they have to offer us in understanding a history, a culture and a geographic landscape. Most importantly this research is aimed at answering the questions of how to live a sustainable and connected life. A fellow yogini, Kayla also completed her yoga teacher training in Rishikesh India this year. I met Kayla at the New Earth Festival in Bali where she was preparing food to nourish the participants. I was super impressed with what she was serving up, and saw very quickly that she was a kindred spirit. She managed to pull herself away from the busy kitchen to have this chat with me. We talk about food, seed to table, food and the chakra system, and yoga. I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I enjoyed having it. Kayla you kick ass! He has been a guest speaker on hundreds of TV and radio shows, as well as keynote presenter for national and international conferences. He’s the author of the bestseller “The Biology of Belief:Unleashing the Power of Consciousness, Matter & Miracles”,  as well as “The Honeymoon Effect: The Science of Creating Heaven on Earth”, and co-author of “Spontaneous Evolution: Our Positive Future and a Way To Get There From Here”.   Bruce teaches that belief is an energy field and that there are invisible forces influencing our lives, with 70% of them being negative and self-sabotaging. In this interview, he breaks down how 95% our lives are dictated by our subconscious programing, and towards the end of the show, he helps us understand the ways to reprogram ourselves. We recorded this interview in his room at The Parmarth Niketan Ashram next to the Ganga River during the International Yoga Festival in Rishikesh India. You’ll hear some background noise of the streets so I hope you can appreciate that we’re bringing India to you.   Our conversation was so long and deep, that I had to break it into two segments.   In the first segment we talk a lot about the state of the world, the 6th mass extinction on the planet, climate change, human behavior , food choices, and then we start getting into the science of Epigenetics. In the second segment we get deeper into the biology of belief , how we’re run by our subconscious, yoga as a solution, and how we can become the masters of our own lives. It’s a really deep discussion about how we go wrong with our thoughts, and then we tap into solutions to reprogram the subconscious. There’s a great nugget at the end that I really want everyone to do as homework! Welcome tribe! This is the final episode of season one of the Visionary Lifestyle podcast! It feels really good that I succeeded in launching the show from india and publishing the first season , mostly recorder in LA, from here. I assure It was NO small feat with the snail slow internet and intermittent power outages! Love you Mother India!!! Season 2 will launch very soon, and contains all the interviews I did at the International Yoga festival here in  in Rishikesh. It’s completely packed with amazing conversations with saints and sages, and lots of the sounds of India. I got access to some very high level teachers who are dropping a LOT of wisdom so make sure you stay tuned in next season. So One of my huge take-aways from my time in India is that it’s NOT quiet! Ha My fantasies about meditating in a silent ashram were quickly squashed haha. The beauty of that though is it became a recurring conversation and a reminder lesson that we must seek the quiet within, and develop the ability to find our center and stillness anywhere we are, and no matter what is going on around us. This is true yoga. In this episode I’m coming to you from a meditation hut in The Beatles Ashram, also known as  the Maharishi Ashram in Rishikesh India. You’ll notice the sound quality difference in this and in future episodes , because I’m now recording out in the open on the road digital nomad style. So you’ll be getting a lot more sounds of the atmosphere. I hope you embrace that and can just think of it as me bringing the world to you:) I was stressed about having the best possible sound quality for you and eventually had to surrender to what I can’t control, which is random voices and sounds that sometimes found their way into the middle of interviews.  You’ll see what I mean. I think it really adds to the charm of the interviews. So I’m  wrapping up this first season of the podcast with a heartfelt share about my time in india, which was a  bucket list item that I’m really thrilled I can now cross off my list. I’ll be sharing my insights as a first time yogi in India, as well as some practical packing and travel advice. This episode was recorded after my Ayurvedic panchakarma treatment,  and just before the International yoga festival started. Look out for an interview with my amazing panchakarma doctor coming up in the next season, I’m really happy to be bringing you some deep insight about Ayurveda. You can Check the show notes to find links to a lot of what I talk about in this episode. Anoop Kumar Bedula is a good friend of mine who lives in Rishikesh India.  With his family, he has worked with some of India’s poorest children to offer them an education, basic health care and healthy meals.      Recently my students at Yoga Tree in San Francisco helped me to raise over $2500 in a effort to support his efforts.  In this interview Anoop talks about how the school has grown from five students to over eighty and what is needed to continue to this important work.  The interview was recorded on my recent trip to India.
