Leon Hoes is kleermaker. Special counsel Jack Smith defiantly re-injected the question of Donald Trump's bid to steal the 2020 election into the intensifying end game of this year's White House race. By trying to rescue his case after his initial indictment was gutted by the Supreme Court's immunity ruling, Smith signaled that he is determined to bring the former president to justice — even though there will be no trial before Election Day. In this podcast episode, MRS Bulletin's Laura Leay interviews Coskun Kocabas from The University of Manchester in the UK about his development of a metamaterial that can tailor thermal emission. Rather than using a periodic system, which most topological materials employ, his research team borrowed a concept from laser design and created an optical cavity using a dielectric medium sandwiched between two layers that act as mirrors: a metal substrate and a top layer of platinum. The top layer serves as a thermal emitter, and the thickness of the top layer defines the topological property that regulates thermal emissivity. This work was published in a recent issue of Science.

In this episode, I am delighted to interview Pete Brooker (From Tailors With Love) about his work about the forthcoming memoir of Timothy Everest MBE.Boy Wanted on Savile Row is a revealing memoir that charts the evolution of British tailoring over the past four decades, starting in the 1980s, when Timothy Everest MBE studied under the rebel of Savile Row, Tommy Nutter, and rubbed shoulders with the likes of Steve Strange and Boy George among the New Romantics club scene.Branching out on his own in the ‘90s, Everest initially styled bands and pop stars, such as George Michael, before he became the spearhead of the ‘Cool Britannia' generation and the face of the New Bespoke Movement. His many bespoke clients included Tom Cruise, David Beckham, Mick Jagger and Jay-Z, to name a few. Eventually he would turn his hand to tailoring for films, such as the James Bond and Mission Impossible franchises, and would create some truly iconic suits.Featuring a wealth of celebrity anecdotes, both hilarious and tragic, Boy Wanted on Savile Row leads the reader through a landscape of bespoke British tailoring that would change the way we view and buy our clothes forever. The book is available for pre-order on Amazon, now.You can find Pete on Instagram and Youtube: @FromTailorsWithLoveMessage me anytime on Instagram, @FlemingNeverDies, or e-mail: AlbionNeverDies@gmail.comCheck out my https://www.youtube.com/britishcultureCheck out my Red Bubble shopSubscribe to my newsletter for update e-mails, random postcards, and stickers: https://youtube.us9.list-manage.com/subscribe?u=b3afdae99897eebbf8ca022c8&id=5165536616Support the show

O reklamě a její tvorbě vám bude dnes vyprávět Jan Vašík z kreativní agentury Fairy Tailors.

We discuss the ever-developing science of Tailoring. We answer such questions as: How many Tailors are there? Can we come up with something that explains the seeming disparities between Tailoring in each of the book series and the show? And, of course: Why is parem-Nina so uncreative??(We are sorry we didn't talk about tailoring Ruby and the Darkling in this episode. They didn't make it into the podcast, but they remain in our hearts.)Also! This is our last episode before Shadow and Bone Season 2 comes out. We know we talk about the books a lot more than the show, but we will definitely be watching the new season. If there's anything you'd like to hear us discuss, shoot us an email at crowclubpod@gmail.com. We'd love to hear from you.Spoilers for the Shadow and Bone trilogy, Netflix Shadow and Bone Season 1, Six of Crows duology, the King of Scars duology, and the short story The Tailor.
Are you tired of one-size-fits-all financial advice that doesn't quite fit your unique needs and goals? In this episode, we'll tackle the question of whether an advisor should tailor a plan to fit your personality. We'll discuss the pros and cons of different approaches and explore how understanding your financial personality can help you make more informed decisions. Here's some of what we'll discuss in this episode: The financial personality is scarred from something that's happened to them in their financial journey. (1:55) How we work with people that over-analyze to the point of being unable to make a decision? (5:55) The do-it-yourselfer does a good job but are they able to understand every piece of the financial puzzle? (9:31) The person that buries their head in the sand to avoid having to learn everything about their portfolio. (15:00) Get additional financial information: https://sephtonfinancial.com/podcasts/

The Paranormal Underground Mysteries of the Old Pico Rivera California Ford Factory which then Became the Northrop Grumman Factory From Post WWII to the B-2 Stealth Bomber Dot.Connector.Podcast.by.BMC. tonight we're going to take a look at the paranormal underground. It's a string of old bases, tunnels, maglev trains going to and from government run facilities still to this day built by companies in the know like the Ford Company who got stinking filthy rich from WWII when building the tank bodies, jeeps, NCO motorcycles and more for the NAZIs, the Japanese, the Americans and the English. Henry Ford would've been so proud as the Ford Company built one of the most vast underground cities right underneath the noses of the American people here in Pico Rivera California. 42 levels deep some say with luxuries like Pizza Huts, Bowling Alleys, Tailors and Dry Cleaners to support the engineers working late nights.
