Elston Howard was the first African American player on the New York Yankees roster, he was the first black player to win the American League MVP award, and he held the fielding percentage record as a catcher (a career .993) for seven years. He also invented the batter's donut. The now ubiquitous warm-up aid debuted in 1955 - with the St Louis Cardians the first to invest in it. Unfortunatly a lack of funds meant Howard and his partners struggled to combat copycat manufacturers. The Yankees retired Howards' #32 jersey in 1984 in honor of his playing career in the pinstripes, but aslo for his ten years as first base coach (the first black coach in the AL) and then working for the clubs adminsistration.  But let's go back to 1955, and Elston Howard's debut in the majors. The Yankees have welcomed the White Sox, and our donut making legend is playing in right field - his time as catcher will come. Justice For Terron Evans Jr Garrett Phillips and Treyanna Summerville all of St Lawrence CountyThis is my son Terron Evans Jr Garrett Phillips and Treyanna Summerville in the photo above. An informant named Crystal Hamilton Kipp for the Potsdam NY Police claimed that my son Terron Evans Jr committed suicide in her home on January 8/21 by taking 2 bottles of Wellbutrin pills.His autopsy showed no pills in his stomach, no signs of throwing up and no residue in or around his mouth but his toxicology results said a lethal dose of Wellbutrin. She has given different stories and many people were interviewed.Through my FOIL request to the Potsdam Police I only received a redacted 2minutes and 34 second body cam video.There were two Potsdam Police Officers at the scene for over 20 minutes.The officer whose redacted body cam video I recieved resigned less than 3 weeks after I called internal affairs in June 2021. The Chief Assistant District Attorney resigned on the day Terron died.A second Potsdam Police officer is resigning next month.Since November 2019 I have been fighting for the justice of Garrett Phillips(please watch Who Killed Garrett P an HBO Documentary) a young boy murdered in Potsdam and for Nick Hillary, the man framed and almost 5 years later found not guilty by the judge. I have also been fighting for the justice of Treyanna Summerville another high profile murder in which an 18 year old was killed by her mother in the summer of 2020, but her 13 year old sister was charged.There are many secrets within many departments in St Lawrence County that need to be exposed.Plesas help. On June 1/2020 I began BLM Potsdam NY.Shortly after my son Terron moved to Potsdam NY.From the time he got there he protested with me.Up until September the police would help with the marches.In September everything stopped as far as the police helping any more.In September Terron met this woman and began a relationship with her.They saw each other off and on until his death.In September he told me about meeting her.When they broke up around November he told me of her use and sales of drugs to law enforcement and others in positions of power.He also stated that she was crazy and threatened to kill him.Unfortunatly neither of us took the threat seriously.I believe my son was killed and did not commit suicide in this woman's house.Please help.There is alot of things that I am entitled to through my FOIL Request that is being withheld from me including a supposed suicide note on Facebook,which its obvious the page was a fake.When I first saw the page after Terron died it said 1 friend request which was Crystal Kipp but shortly after it said 1 friend Crystal Kipp.There is so much more to this.I need an independent investigation and a second autopsy if possible.Why is this important?Terron's life mattered. Our family deserves justice just as many other families do in St Lawrence County.I remember the words of the Potsdam police chief in October 2020 when he said "it's not like we shoot people here". I am a failed inventor who like many who had an idea for a product but didn't know what to do. I believe the best way to learn what to do and what to avoid is by learning about the invention journey others have taken. So I began interviewing inventor and sharing their story on InventionStories.com and now do so on the Invention Stories Podcast. What I've learned from interviewing over 400 inventors is that most people, one way or another, can turn their idea into a product. The hard part is successfully selling their products for profit. That is where Forbes Riley comes in. For a teenager, applying to a university can be intimidating. In decades past, high school counselors would have the opportunity to have one-on-one conversations with students to make sure student's applications were on the right track. Unfortunatly, today's student to counselor ratio at most high schools makes that one-on-one guidance nearly impossible. CollegePoint is aggressively working to provide a solution. The organization targets high-achieving students from low and moderate-income families that typically would not apply to top universities that they are qualified to attend. The non-profit is accomplishing this virtually. "We have an advisor that matches with every student," says CollegePoint's Alysha Rashid. The advisor then meets with the student using different virtual tools. "Whether it's by text, email, phone calls, video chats, advisors get to meet with students as often as they would like," says Rashid. Bryden Sweeney-Taylor says they work with about 60 full time college advisors and about 600 part-time volunteer advisors. "This year we'll work with 12,000 students." says Sweeney-Taylor. The service is free and made possible by Bloomberg Philanthropies. "Because it's virtual because we're not flying advisors across the country, we're able to reach students in small towns and in rural communities and in all 50 states," says Sweeney-Taylor. This is a mix I did with the bag of records i was due to take to the Stroud Block Party 2017 (on the August bank holiday sunday). Unfortunatly the event had to be cancelled due to much bigger crowds than was expected the day before. So to make sure that there was no safety issues the organisers made the difficult decision to cancel the event. I still had the bag of records so I thought I would record this mix with those records. This was done live in one take and all vinyl to try and capture the feel of what I might have done, only difference is I used my delay pedal! I may or may not have played all these records but its a pretty good rough guide....

#82 Patrick Jordan Serendipity  : the faculty or phenomenon of finding valuable or agreeable things not sought for Unfortunatly, when I say the word Serendipity, you may think of a very bad romantic comedy starring John Cusack.  I know, because that is what I thought of any time I heard that word.  No longer is that the case for me.  Now when I think of that word, a person comes to mind by the name of Patrick Jordan. I met Patrick at a Deep Local party, and was introduced by our mutual friend Jeff Swenson.  Little did we know our history at that time, but we do now!  You just have to listen to the episode to hear it. I will tell you that Patrick Jordan is the Artistic Director of his company Barebones Productions in Pittsburgh, PA.  A local theater company that pushes the envelope, bringing plays to life that have an edge, or grit.  I saw my first (but not last), Barebones production of The Elaborate Entrance Of Chad Diety at The Ace Hotel recently, and was blown away by the production.  It was a sold out show, and I had such a blast during it.  I couldn't wait to have Patrick on to grill him about the in's and out's of putting that show together.  I mean, there was a real wrestling ring! Over the past several months I've been warning you about the threat we're facing from things like the minimum wage, the economy, even Hillary Clinton. But the principals of economics and liberty always prove me right.Today we're going to discuss Hillary Clinton who I predicted would never be the presidental nominee as early as the day she announced her candidacy.  Then we move on the the minimum wage which is now destroying businesses across the west cost, most recently in the little town of Everyville, CA.  Then it's back across the pacific to China where there recent attempts to prevent further stock market declines have failed. What's sad is that all these problems were foreseeable and preventable. Testimony of the Second Witnesss of the Father. Today I just talk about who I am and some of my experiences. I  expound on my history and how I came to know my Father and Savior and that they sent the Prophet Joseph Smith. I talk about the Stick or Record of Joseph spoken of in Eziekiel 37. I talk about Genesis 49 how the Tribe of Joseph that would be removed from the other tribes unto the upmost Bounds of the Everlasting Hills. The Last part of the program we listen to a talk about Breaking down your Monuments.        Truth is my Drug, and I am Heavily Addicted LOL. I believe that people like Joseph Smith Wanted to believe. Joseph Believed in a lot of strange stuff as he worked out his Salvation... Things like Talismens and other interesting things... He has a Believing Heart... He searched Dilegently, But then he took what he studied and Asked God with that believing Heart. He Let God correct him and teach him. Unfortunatly at early at 1832 the church as recorded in section 84 were in condemnation for several things. One of these things was that they were not a believing people, They treated Lightly the things of God. But Joseph Looked for truth in every Nook and Cranie that he could find it. It didn't matter where he found it, He wanted to Believe and he trusted God enough to take it to him and ask if it was right and for further Light and Knowledge on the subjects he studied. He didn't attack others for there believes. He saw the Good in so many. Wouldn't it be nice if more people were like Joseph. Because he Believed, He was Greatly Blessed.

So you may be wondering why it's been two months since you last heard from us, and I'd be happy to tell you, but first, go ahead and play this YouTube video. Trust me. So, remember on the last episode when I discussed the shock curse? Well, over the course of playing this game we all had a ton of technical and scheduling difficulties which we discuss briefly in the show. Unfortunatly, one became apparent only after I recorded this episode; My headset broke while we were recording. What this means for you guys, and I'm horribly sorry about this, is that I've had to edit this episode rather heavily. There's gonna be some popping and cutting in and out from my microphone, and sometimes a conversation may sound kind of awkward due to having to edit out a portion of it, but hopefully you guys still enjoy it, and hopefully I won't have to do another Shock game for a while. Oh, something else I forgot, my first Xbox 360 went red ring on me while playing Bioshock for the first time, so yeah, I'm probably going to avoid these games in the future. They're starting to cost me a small fortune. At least it gave me an excuse to listen to this Stevie Wonder song again though. That's some seriously sweet bass. So our next show will be our listener's choice episode covering Mirrors Edge! Today's episode is Season 4 Episode 7 of Friends, entitled 'The one where Chandler crosses the line'. Kathy and Chandler end up alone when Joey has 2 dates, and then they KISS! Ross debuts his "sound" which makes Pheobe want to quit music all together. Rachel decides to date herself, but then wants to see other people. We got our 10th review in iTunes. Unfortunatly, it was somebody that thought we were interviewing @Pagetpaget (AKA Paget Brewster, AKA Kathy) on our show. Sadly, we don't know her... We are tremendous fans of her work, and tried to shine a spotlight while she's been on this 4 epsode run, but alas--It backfired. The school of hard knocks is one of the hardest of the yearlong achievements that make up the Meta Achievement: what a long strange trip it has been. The problem of course is that unlike the other events School of hard knocks requires you to do a set of tasks while you have your orphan with you, these are: Capture the flag in Eye of the Storm Assault a flag in Arathi BasinAssault a tower in Alterac ValleyReturn a fallen flag in Warsong GulchDoing any of these things reliably is hard at the best of times. trying to do it when 10,20 or even 40 people are all rushing to do the same thing is almost impossible. that is where the guild comes in. This fri we bundled up together and managed to get a lot of people there School of hard knocks. Looking For GuildSo this week we enabled the Looking for Guild options and wow have we had a good response we have had new people applying from all over so I wanted to give people an Idea of what it is all about. Along with all the little checkboxes that you fill out in the LFG tool there is a 255char block that we can put in a message. and this message is what diferentiate us from the other guilds.Currently our message reads:message “Why not join Needs a hug. We have 14 bank tabs, our tabard gives +400 stamina, our guild name improves our sex appeal, and our recruitment messages lie outrageously.”This message is pulling us in about 5-10 recruits per day once the apply I look at the message they have sent back. if they don’t put anything in the request window they are out. The more fun there message is better the chance we grab them. Once I or one of the other offciers contact them we fill them in on what the guild is like and if they want to join we invite them. Unfortunatly, this is never fool proof and we get a lot of chaff with the wheat.
