In 1985, Mel Wiley, the police chief in Medina County's Hinckley Township, tells his girlfriend he's meeting an old friend for a dip in Lake Erie. Three days later, park rangers find his abandoned car at Edgewater Park with his clothes, money and police ID inside - but no chief. While townsfolk wonder if he met with foul play, was lost in a drowning accident or committed suicide, the lead investigator settles on a completely different theory: That Wiley, who loved writing mystery novels in his spare time, had simply walked away from his life to start anew somewhere else. >www.ohiomysteries.com >feedback@ohiomysteries.com >www.patreon.com/ohiomysteries >www.twitter.com/mysteriesohio >www.facebook.com/ohiomysteries > >Music: Chasing Trains, by Joe Joyce Band. This week on the Millionaire Car Salesman Podcast, Sean V. Bradley, CSP interviews Jeff Homolak, the Business Development Manager at Medina Auto Mall in Medina County, OH. Not only is Medina Buick GMC the #1 Buick GMC dealership in the country, but they also won the GM Dealer of the Year Award in 2020. Jeff built the Internet Sales Department at the Medina Auto Mall in September of 2020. Since then, the BDC has grown to extraordinary heights, setting over 840 appointments and selling an average of 350 cars each month. Jeff attributes this success to tracking the most important KPI's: appointment confirmation rate, appointment show rate, and appointment sold rate. Jeff also contributes much of his success to training his people the right way. Training is the most important element of a team in any industry. Like Special Forces and Navy SEALS, all members of a team must constantly practice, drill, and rehearse. While Jeff is big on training, he is unable to see and hear everything. His partnership with CallSource helps him identify coaching and training opportunities. CallSource records and tracks all inbound and outbound phone calls. He receives DealSaver Alerts from CallSource, which are email updates on every call where his staff did not ask for the appointment or the customer did not commit to an appointment. Additionally, Call Source aids Jeff and his team with their DealSaver Recovery Alert Program, where CallSource's call center returns a call to the customer to go for the appointment that his team failed to get. CallRevu Acquired CallSource's automotive division in September 2021. However, CallRevu does not intend to eliminate any of CallSources technology, people, or services. Instead, CallRevu plans to combine the best of both businesses to advance its technology and provide a higher level of service to automotive dealerships. Nicole Moehring is the Founder of Voices of Change 2018(VOC), a nonprofit organization. Their mission is to reduce the risk of sexual abuse for children with disabilities. Nicole's daughter and son, who is autistic, were both victims of sexual abuse and assault. As a mother suffering through this unbelievable nightmare, Nicole witnessed the differences in the justice system of how her daughter was believed and treated so well, and her son was not. Nicole quickly began to realize how difficult the road to justice is for an individual with a disability. Nicole was made to feel as if what happened to her son did not matter. VOC was founded to educate families so no other family would ever feel as Nicole and her family did while living this unthinkable nightmare. Nicole is a first-time author of “Finding Myself – Overcoming Abuse, Heartbreak and Loss Then, Finding True Love” and currently writing her second book, “Finding My Voice.” She serves on the Ohio Attorney General Committee for Crime Victims with Disabilities. In today's episode, Rob discusses how a local community has requested his feedback on how they should respond to the CDC's most recent guidance regarding wearing masks while indoors, even if vaccinated. The full transcript of the letter can be found in the All Around Growth Telegram Group chat. t.me/allaroundgrowth My response to the email I received is as follows: I vote No. Initially, I was going to abstain from a vote - because it seemed unclear to me what we were actually voting *on*"A letter will be sent to the congregation." This had been made clear. It seems as though feedback is being sought moreover than a vote, but further reading and deliberation led me to vote "no" Here are some additional details why.I joined this church for several reasons, one of which is the community that so welcomes and loves me.In return, I felt compelled to participate within the community by giving back and serving. It was the people that solidified my understanding of what it means to be a part of a "united and uniting church."Unfortunately, I feel as though we have also fallen victim to the polarization and division that has resulted from SARS-CoV-2.I do not wish to dismiss the virus and its impact, rather to acknowledge the very real results of it over the last 12-18 months.Together, we are doing exactly that, providing feedback on the following statement proposed for delivery to the congregation:“Let each of you look not to your own interest, but to the interests of others.” -Philippians 2:4The CDC is currently recommending that individuals, even those who have been vaccinated, once again wear masks when indoors, if they are in an area of substantial or high transmission. Medina County is currently at the substantial level of transmission. While we are not requiring it, we are recommending that everyone, including individuals who have been vaccinated, wear a mask when attending indoor church services. This would include children ages 5 an up. This is in an effort to protect our children and those who are not able to receive the vaccine. Please understand that it is our goal that by taking this precaution, we will be able to continue in-person worship services and keep our church family and community healthy. Finally, we urge everyone who can, to get vaccinated as soon as possible. As a Congregationalist, I cannot in good faith support the sentence concluding the previous statement:"Finally, we urge everyone who can, to get vaccinated as soon as possible."As a Congregationalist, I support a united and uniting church that respects our freedom of choice, despite our differences. Moreover, as a council member, I think it is one thing for the council to communicate what the CDC guidelines are......it is another to take it upon ourselves to urge the congregation to participate in medical procedures.Subsequently, I vote "no" on sharing a letter to the congregation written with the inclusion of this statement.I believe we should leave the decision to attend services to those attending and respect the decisions of those who opt to stay home. Moreover, we've taken active steps to improve the streaming capabilities of the services for those who are not comfortable in person. As Congregationalists, I believe now more than ever the need for respect among those whose opinions differ than ours.Thank youRob KaiserJoin the conversation: t.me/allaroundgrowthSupport the show (https://www.patreon.com/allaroundgrowth)
Gary Roberson is a native of Medina County and grew up hunting on the family ranch between Devine and Yancey. Armed with a Model 94 Winchester, Roberson killed his first whitetail while hunting by himself at age seven and began calling critters when he was ten years old. After fifteen years in the banking industry, Roberson decided that he would rather chase four legged coyotes than two legged ones, so he and his wife Deb purchased Burnham Brothers Game Calls in 1991.While Gary has hunted and outfitted for whitetail deer, elk, turkey, and mule deer, he considers chasing mountain lions with hounds and calling coyotes his favorite hunting opportunities. His calling expertise has been well documented in outdoor magazines such as Outdoor Life, Field & Stream, Predator Extreme, and numerous TV shows. In 1992, Roberson produced “Calling All Varmints”, a “how to” video on calling predators, and collaborated with Mossy Oak to produce “Eyes Front”, a series of five calling videos. In 2006, Gary and longtime friend, Brian Hawkins produced “Catastrophic”, the most popular predator calling video of all time.Roberson worked with Savage Arms to develop the MODEL 10 PREDATOR HUNTER, Ruger in designing their line of predator rifles and with Nikon Sport Optics to produce the COYOTE SPECIAL riflescope, products specific for the predator calling game.Roberson is host of the wildly successful TV show “Carnivore”, which is airing for its eleventh season on Pursuit Channel. Gary is also a staff writer for The Journal of the Texas Trophy Hunters and in 2020 with a little prompting from Miss Deb, wrote “Eyes Front…Sixty Years of Hunting the Hunters.”Roberson is a Pro Staff member for Mossy Oak, Ruger, Trijicon, Hornady, and TRHP Outdoors and lives by the philosophy that “he who hunts the most, hunts the best”.

I had two great audience questions submitted on my WeatherJazz® Audience Connect Line (234-525-5888) in the past few weeks. I asked FOX 8 morning meteorologist Scott Sabol to join me in addressing both questions. The first one came from Sarah who was at a Cleveland Browns game recently and wondered why it was so windy and what causes wind to blow in the first place. The second question came from my very first WeatherJazz® supporter in Medina County, Ohio, Christine Barnes. She asked about any correlation between this year's record-setting stretch of 70s°F and the year of the big blizzard during the winter of 1977-1978. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/andrebernier/support

Voting Rights Case at Ohio Supreme Court - How will the Court decide? Will the Ohio Supreme Court uphold the rights of voters or will they hand a victory to bureaucrats who have been denying local citizens access to the ballot? One year ago this week, citizens in Medina County submitted petitions for a referendum. Little did they know they would have to fight all the political bureaucrats of the county to simply exercise their right to vote. After a number of appeals were denied by the Medina County Board of Elections, the citizens had no recourse but to file for mandamus action at the Ohio Supreme Court. Representing the citizens committee is Attorney Josh Brown. He and OCA President Chris Long discuss the merits of this case and the huge ramifications it has for voting rights in Ohio. Welcome to a special segment of the Uncensored Humanity Podcast we call American Honesty. During these shows I have two co-hosts; Andrew Hoffman and Jake Bible. On the American Honesty segments we like to discuss topics that society has deemed inappropriate. Our goal is to just get our opinions out in the open for a discussion. We believe that the ability to talk about these tough topics is seriously lacking in today's society, as people seem to get offended too easily. Unfortunately Andrew is not able to join us on the show so I asked my very good friend Todd Gienger to join us. Today we wanted to discuss a national level leadership event that Jake was a part of a couple weeks ago. Jake is a part of Medina County Leadership. He was asked to join a national level event to represent Medina County where they discussed all kinds of topics that are relevant during these interesting times. Todd was perfect to join us today as he used to be a part of Leadership Ohio. So he definitely had some great things to offer on the topic. I love that Jake is so interested in helping his community and hopefully his country grow together and not apart like it seems to be doing lately. Please enjoy our conversation. American Honesty is a project that Jake started a couple of years ago. So now using the podcast as our platform we are going to carry on the project that Jake started. Hopefully it will lead to some good conversations that others can enjoy as much as we do. Both Andrew and Jake have been on the show multiple times separately. If you want to hear more about them, please check out their individual episodes. © 2018 Uncensored Humanity Artwork by Kathryn Kidwell Intro music Rover by S Strong – available on Youtube audio library Outro music Whitestick by S Strong – available on Youtube audio library

The timing may have been questionable, but should she have been suspended? 20:20 - The ratings are out from Sunday’s Grammy Awards, and once again, they were way down. Are awards shows going by the wayside, or is it pop music doesn’t have the mass appeal it once had? Be sure to follow us on our various social media platforms. Episode Notes: In 1985, Mel Wiley, the police chief in Medina County's Hinckley Township, tells his girlfriend he's meeting an old friend for a dip in Lake Erie.
