Is MrBeast right about the Ameircan healthcare system? Also did The Flash director just blame fans for the film's poor performance? We talk about Ohio State vs Texas, Blue Origin cancelling their rocket launch, and lots more!
The director of "The Flash" attributes the film's box office failure to disinterest in the character, negative perceptions of Ezra Miller, and a lack of appeal to diverse demographics, despite the presence of iconic characters like Batman. Oh, and women. Women didn't go see The Flash. It couldn't possibly be Ezra Miller. 00:00 The director blames "The Flash's" box office failure on disinterest in the character and negative views of Ezra Miller, not the film's quality. 01:35 The director laments that despite Michael Keaton's return as Batman, the film's execution was disappointing, with Batman only appearing for a mere seven to eight minutes. 02:30 The director of "The Flash" calls it one of the worst superhero movies, attributing its failure to personal struggles and controversies involving Ezra Miller. 04:00 The director of "The Flash" blames its $200 million failure on not appealing to all demographics, despite successful films targeting specific audiences. 05:31 The director of "The Flash" blames its failure on women's reactions and casting choices, while asserting that a strong story and popular characters could have improved its reception. 09:14 The director attributes "The Flash's" failure to Ezra Miller's behavior and criticizes the character's portrayal, claiming it strays from beloved comic and TV versions. 10:56 The director expresses disbelief over the ongoing discussions about the challenges of wearing the Flash suit and the absurdity of the situation. 11:47 The director of The Flash attributes the film's failure to women.

Matty P Radio Presents: Marks v. Pros & Saturday Morning Cereal
Take some time this week to remember your original happy hour: Saturday mornings as a kid, waking up at dawn, jumping on the couch with a bowl of chocolate cereal, turning on the ‘toons, tuning out the outside world and working your way into a sugar hangover before noon. This week we present a SDCC24 roundtable conversation with UFC and WWE champion, multi-ESPY award winner, Olympic judo medalist, Hollywood actress, and now graphic novelist RondaRousey. That's right! THE RONDA ROUSEY actually went to San Diego Comic-Con 2024 and no, it wasn't to kick ass and take names but rather to discuss her debut graphic novel Expecting the Unexpected and her journeys after stepping out of the ring and into the world of comic books. Eisner Award winning artist MikeDeodato, Jr. (Avengers,TheFlash) and AWA Chief Creative Officer AxelAlonso also join the roundtable to celebrate the book's launch and the innovative creative process behind this powerful project. Join hosts Grim Shea and Marke as they get back in the swing of things and kick off our 12th season with a world champion premier guest! Created by Ronda Rousey & AWA Studios, EXPECTING THE UNEXPECTED tells the story of a pregnant assassin balancing creating life and taking them. It's funny, it's touching, it's full of action – it's totally Ronda! “Conceived”/penned by Rousey, edited by Alonso with art by Deodato, Jr., the graphic novel draws on Rousey's incredible career in the ring and pairs it with Deodato's martial arts background to create the most accurate and action-packed fight scenes in comics!

Olivia complains about how Shauna "Elle Woodsed" her at her recent pool party, but Shauna tells her that her costume was perfection, even if she was the only one who showed up in one. Olivia's on a documentary kick right now, so if you want some amazing true crime reccs, she's got you. Shauna is still giddy from Deadpool & Wolverine, but manages to not spoil any of it for you (or Olivia.) She's also watching Love Island, which leaves her less than giddy, which makes her think of a recent documentary about the most-hated bands of all time, which leads the Junkies to talk about the phenomenon of Hate Watching. Why spend what little free time you have watching something that does not spark joy? There are reasons why spending time with Real Housewives, Emily in Paris, Hoarders, or the cast of Riverdale can benefit you, believe it or not. Listen to this episode with love and find out more! What a CreepSeason 22, Episode 7Mark Schwahn “One Tree Hill showrunner and creep! One Tree Hill was a popular CW show that had all the ingredients for success - attractive actors, dramatic storylines, a complex timeline, and was filmed in North Carolina. However, the show was marred by the inappropriate behavior of its showrunner, Mark Schwahn. His harassment and mistreatment of the cast and crew were brought to light by writer Audrey Wauchope in a series of tweets in 2017, during the height of the “Me Too” movement. This followed the investigation of another CW showrunner, Andrew Kreisberg, who was accused of sexual harassment and creating an unsafe work environment on The Flash. Kreisberg was paid $10 million to leave. Today, we are discussing the impact of a toxic boss on a workplace, and the bravery of the women who spoke out against this behavior. Their actions have set a new standard for a safer and more respectful work environment, particularly after the recent strikes in the United States.Sources for this episode:· Buzz Feed· Buzz Feed 2· Buzz Feed 3· Drama Queens Podcast· Drama Queens Podcast (Apple)· Variety· Variety 2· Screen Rant· Screen Rant 2· EW· EW 2· EW 3· Decider· Insider· Hollywood Reporter· Best Life online· Deadline· Deadline 2· The Wrap· Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum podcast· AV Club· Burn it Down: Power, Complicity, and a Call for Change in Hollywood by Maureen RyanTrigger warnings: Sexual Harassment, sexual assault, and workplace abuseBe sure to follow us on social media.
