A Chinese businessman and alleged spy has now been identified as Yang Tengbo after a court order protecting his identity was lifted. He was banned from the UK last week amid claims he had formed an "unusual degree of trust" with the Duke of York - Prince Andrew. Judges were told the businessman was attempting to leverage the disgraced Prince's influence. Former Conservative leader Sir Iain Duncan Smith joins us in The Daily T studio to explain why the alleged spy could be one of many such Chinese agents operating "in plain view" . And could fresh evidence from the legal team for former neonatal nurse Lucy Letby prove her innocence? This week we will be highlighting the work done by the four charities The Telegraph is supporting in our Christmas appeal. In today's episode, we'll be looking at Humanity and Inclusion, a global charity working alongside disabled and vulnerable people in 60 countries affected by poverty, conflict and disaster. You can read more about the work done by Humanity and Inclusion, as well as Adelie Pojzman-Pontay and Francis Dearnley's reporting from Kharkiv, on The Telegraph's website. Why does the British establishment seem so addicted to cover up? In 2024 alone we have seen the Post Office, Mohammed al Fayed, NHS and the blood scandal, Justin Welby and the Church involved in cover-ups. Why do we cover up so much in the UK? Today I explore some of the historical cover ups in British history from the Boer War to the Mau Mau rebellion in Kenya and the British cover up in India during partition. I also talk about the psychology of why we cover up. And I link it to power and money. I draw upon the work of Caroline Elkins and the Legacy of Violence, Prof Joy Schaverien and Boarding School Syndrome, CG Jung and Oliver Bullough's Butler to The World. Gillian Anderson talks about playing Margaret Thatcher, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Emily Maitlis, the BBC anchor who did the exclusive 2019 interview with Prince Andrew. President Biden signed an executive order temporarily barring undocumented immigrants from seeking asylum. It's what Trump tried to do in his first term. Amid a largely self-censored media landscape, Israel's leading left-wing publication Haaretz critiques the country's government and provides an unflinching view on the war in Gaza. One in five employers is less likely to hire recent college grads who took part in pro-Palestinian protests, a new survey shows. But other employers seem to support protest involvement.
Is your partner cheating on you with an A.I. companion? As Flora Gill tells us this week, many people, in search of physical and emotional intimacy, are increasingly turning to what are known as “A.I.-companion sites.” Then Alyssa Choiniere takes us inside the protests at Columbia University and tells us where this all might be headed. And finally, John Arlidge joins us from London with a new look at an extraordinary scandal. Ten years ago, high-profile members of the British Establishment—including a former prime minister—were falsely accused of sexually abusing children. In the effort to discover the truth, however, the country tore itself apart.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Dimitri and Khalid explore the tragic denouement of World War One in Ottoman Palestine, including: the origins of the notorious Balfour Declaration and the surprising ambivalence of Anglo-Jewish elites towards it, managing the Arab reaction to Balfour (gaslighting Hussein), James Renton's “The Zionist Masquerade” and the origins of a vast British psyop against American Jews, how the racist weltanschauung of the British Establishment shaped their Balfour policy, targeting various ethnic groups as stereotypical monolithic “nations”, the impact of the Bolshevik Revolution on British anxieties about winning the support of “the Jews”, “their consciousness is NOT our consciousness”, Winston Churchill's 1920 ravings about using Zionism to combat International Judeo-Bolshevism, largely unsuccessful British efforts to psyop Polish-Americans and Irish-Americans into supporting the Allies, the perfidious anti-British machinations of the Irish-American “boss”, Vladimir Jabotinsky's thwarted desire for a Zionist “Maccabee Brigade” to join the war, flooding Jewish-American media with pro-Zionist content after Balfour, the sinister dramaturgy of General Allenby's entrance into Jerusalem, and more. Horrified by the implications of aiding German rearmament, a few British and American companies made serious attempts to get out of Germany in the 1930s. Particularly after Kristallnacht, 10 November 1938, when Nazi thugs attacked Jewish businesses. But the British Establishment saw Hitler as ‘a man who could be relied upon'. The Bank of England argued as late as March 1939, four days after Hitler had marched into Prague, that the British couldn't just pull out of Germany, without bringing down the whole London banking sector.

David Torrance – The incredible story of the first Labour government, and the “wild men” who shook up the British Establishment...with TRE's Giles Brown
After learning what today's British Establishment was all about at Rugby School and Cambridge, Alex Thomson served in a Christian mission in the former Soviet Union and went on to spend the rest of his twenties as a GCHQ officer. He moved to the Netherlands aged thirty in 2009 and has spent the last decade and a half more quietly as a translator and interpreter and a researcher of networked evil. Since 2014, Alex has presented his emerging findings via the Eastern Approaches brand on UK Column News, where his specialisms are Europe, geopolitics, religious affairs and constitutional matters. He maintains the Eastern Approaches YouTube channel, mostly of careful readings of key documents indicating the scope of corruption of British and Western public life. He has two Telegram channels: Eastern Approaches and All the Eastern Approaches. Gwynne's Introduction to True Philosophy: When it comes to the news, who, if anyone, is telling us the truth? It seems that none of us can give a satisfactory answer. We have been lied to by the press and the media for so long that most of us down the rabbit hole reckon that the news, and just about everything else that surrounds us, is a lie. So what can we do? One solution is to buy Gwynne's Introduction to True Philosophy. This book will not only help you to think properly, teaching you to analyse and sift what is going on, helping you get to the reliable truth; but it also dissects numerous examples of subjects (like evolution) revealing fascinating truths that have been deliberately hidden. Gwynne's Introduction to True Philosophy is a real page turner at £18 including UK post. If life were normal, you'd be able to buy this book on Amazon, but no longer. In 1807, Parliament outlawed the slave trade in the British Empire, but for the next quarter of a century, despite heroic and bloody rebellions, more than 700,000 people in the British colonies remained enslaved. And when a renewed abolitionist campaign was mounted, making slave ownership the defining political and moral issue of the day, emancipation was fiercely resisted by the powerful 'West India Interest'. Supported by nearly every leading figure of the British establishment - including Canning, Peel and Gladstone, The Times and Spectator - the Interest ensured that slavery survived until 1833 and that when abolition came at last, compensation worth billions in today's money was given not to the enslaved but to the slaveholders, entrenching the power of their families to shape modern Britain to this day. Drawing on major new research, Michael Taylor's The Interest: How the British Establishment Resisted the Abolition of Slavery (Bodley Head, 2021) provides a gripping narrative account of the tumultuous and often violent battle that divided and scarred the nation during these years of upheaval. The Interest reveals the lengths to which British leaders went to defend the indefensible in the name of profit, showing that the ultimate triumph of abolition came at a bitter cost and was one of the darkest and most dramatic episodes in British history. The writer James Slaymaker, author of Time is Luck: The Cinema of Michael Mann, returns to the pod from Southampton for a discussion of selected works from the veteran British filmmaker Ken Loach, who at age 87 is about to release what is said to be his final feature, The Old Oak. Ken Loach's 1969 feature Kes is a staple of the British school curriculum to this day and his 2016 film I, Daniel Blake won the Palme d'or at Cannes and was a big hit in the UK. We discuss the role Loach recently played in British politics, first allied with the Labour Party under the left-wing leadership of Jeremy Cornyn and then ousted from Labour in the ideological purge of the Keir Starmer era. We discuss three of his features on this episode: the controversial 1990 political thriller Hidden Agenda with Brian Cox and Frances McDormand, 2019's gig economy drama Sorry We Missed You, and a lesser-seen Loach film from 2001, The Navigators. These works offer a critique from the left of several decades of austerity policies in the UK, the horrors of privatization and the overall exploitation of workers by management. How can a stuffy institution with deep links to British Establishment power play a role in bringing about social justice on Earth, in Bristol and beyond?Neil gets deep into a challenging conversation on the spiritual and political with Phil Nott, an experienced Church of England priest who is on that mission – and has just started a six-month role as the city chaplain at Bristol Cathedral, with a remit of working with the city's diverse communities. Reverend Nott might not conform to the stereotypical image of an Anglican minister. But how can this vocal ally of LGBTQ+ communities, and outspoken voice on the Church's historical role in racism and injustice, work with an organisation still steeped in conservatism? Listen in for a fascinating conversation that transcends earthly boundaries. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Former GCHQ Officer Alex Thomson discusses the Anglo-American establishment's fixation on Ukraine as the underbelly of the World Island and how it is not in the interest now of either the West or the Russians to de-escalate. The logic of the expansionist system on both sides is that they're more interested in a Third World War or an eternal penumbra of Doomsday as opposed to the return of a Westphalian order. There is not a better world solution coming from Russia or China where there also exists world domination-minded elements. Very few national leaders remain who are willing and able to oppose globalism, there is an inevitable trend toward world government. He's optimistic about being able to survive the Algorithm Ghetto via parallel structures and also comments on prophecy, information operations, and antisemitic trolls. "How might the British have handled Hitler differently?” remains one of history's greatest "what ifs."Many fault the Neville Chamberlain administration of the 1930s with trying to appease the Fuhrer by any means necessary. But they failed, still got a war, and earned a reputation for cowardice. Or as Winston Churchill said to Chamberlain, “You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war.” But what if we haven't given Britain enough credit for trying to stave off the war in ways that weren't dishonorable? It turns out they did, and they got very creative. One method involved using a handful of amateur British intelligence agents who wined, dined, and befriended the leading National Socialists between the wars. With support from royalty, aristocracy, politicians, and businessmen, they hoped to use the recently founded Anglo-German Fellowship as a vehicle to civilize and enlighten the Nazis. At the heart of the story are a pacifist Welsh historian, a World War I flying ace, and a butterfly-collecting businessman, who together offered the British government better intelligence on the horrifying rise of the Nazis than any other agents. They infiltrated the Nazi high command deeper than any other spies, relaying accurate intelligence to both their government and to its anti-appeasing critics. Having established a personal rapport with President Franklin D. Roosevelt, they delivered intelligence to him directly, paving the way for American military support for Great Britain against the Nazi threat. To tell this story is today's guest, Charles Spicer, author of “Coffee With Hitler.” His book is based on eight years of research among letters, intelligence reports, and other primary sources, many of which have been lost or overlooked by historians. While these men didn't succeed in their goal, they did feed critical intelligence to the British Establishment and gave them a very clear understanding of the threat that Hitler posed. That's why when war did finally break out, Britain wasn't caught asleep at the switch. It had spent years arming itself and training for the outbreak of hostilities. More could have been done – and that's always the case when it comes to total war – but we have these men to credit for trying to avoid and neutralize an enemy that was unavoidable and immovable.
Like Bond, Silva was once a blunt instrument: something to be wielded by the British Establishment but without ever being admitted to the Establishment himself. Also like Bond, Silva is haunted by his past. However, the similarities run out of road here… In the absence of a chosen family like the one Bond has, something has steadily eaten away at Silva - and I'm not just talking about cyanide.

The Swedish sex ed films "The Language of Love" (1969) and "More from the Language of Love" (1970) became test cases for what could and could not be shown in the UK. As one critic pointed out at the time, ‘Nobody makes a sex-education movie like the Swedes. And nobody – but nobody – will make such a supercilious fuss about it more than the British Establishment.' There was particular tension between the British Board of Film Classification/Censors (BBFC), which advised whether a film should get a rating, and the Greater London Council (GLC), which decided for itself as the final arbitrator as to whether to show a film or not in its cinemas - representing one in seven screens across the UK. Far from being censorship prone, the BBFC Secretary (i.e. Director) John Trevelyan and BBFC President Lord Harlech agreed that sex ed films should be accepted, even if they did not allow 'extravagant exploitation'. Trevelyan also engaged in exchanges with foreign distributors to try to understand the films and their social context better. The BBFC passed the buck to local councils as to whether approve "The Language of Love" (1969), which the GLC passed with an 'X' certificate, meaning only over-16s could see it. By 1971 127 local authorities out of 169 that the films was submitted to had approved. But there was trouble ahead, according to Dr Retro's study:"In July 1974 two plain-clothed policemen, Chief Inspector Smith and Police Sergeant Collins, entered the Jacey cinema on Charing Cross Road, where More About the Language of Love had already been playing to audiences five times a day for six weeks. According to Chief Inspector Smith's account, ‘The cinema has a seedy air entirely in keeping with its clientele and the films they come to watch.'"It is unusual to get a detailed. eyewitness report of cinema screenings and habits, but while historians can treasure this today, the result was that the film was accused of being 'criminally obscene'. It was the basis for the trial the following year, Regina v. Jacey (London) Ltd, Lionel Parsons and Fancey Associates Ltd, where the three charged was the Jacey Cinema, the programmer Fancey Associates and Lionel Parsons, the cinema manager. People were thus being prosecuted for screening a film that had been passed by the relevant authorities for public viewing. " If they were to be found guilty this case would have serious implications for the whole system of British film censorship.," Dr Retro notes the defence lawyer arguing. Shockingly, the Crown WON the case, meaning that anyone could be prosecuted on the basis of 'obscenity'. This is where Lord Longford's 'report', or rather moral crusade, plays such a significant role. We talk about the differences between Swedish and British censorship and the implications of the ruling. There is also sound clips from people on the streets (of Dublin) being interviewed about their views on pornography and a clip from the Festival of Light that demonstrated against pornography. We end with Cliff Richards, who marched against the "Language of Love" screenings under a banner proclaiming Sweden to be a hotbed of alcoholism, suicide, gonorrhoea, and pornography, b
For no particular reason, this episode is now !UNLOCKED! MI6, the ruins of empire, the Royal Family, arms trafficking, terrorism, oligarchs, the gangster state and more converged on a tunnel in Paris one horrifying night in August 1997. We look at a pivotal moment in the history of the modern British Establishment (in as much as anything about the Establishment is 'modern'), and examine the web of intrigue surrounding both Diana's death and the British monarchy, a web that persists up to the present day. Due to the graciousness of Her Majesty’s Government, we’re starting this week with a party at the Young house! (No, not in the Young house, just at the Young house.) We talk about the BBC’s decision not to cover last Saturday’s anti-lockdown protest – in spite of roughly 100,000 people attending – the forthcoming march on May 29th, whether the “Indian Variant” will stop the PM from lifting all restrictions on June 21st as planned, and why are so many media types promoting the vaccine? Then there are musings on a variety of topics: Why weren’t James and Toby admitted into the inner sanctum of the British Establishment when they were at Oxford? Would the guys cut it at being MI6 spies? Mali gives Toby the chance to be a hero (again) and the wife remains unimpressed (still) In culture corner, Toby has a confession and James praises The Pursuit of Love. For too long the abolition of the Atlantic slave trade in 1807 and slavery in the British colonies in the Americas in 1833 have dominated the ways in which Britons have (mis)remembered slavery. The Legacies of British Slave-ownership project at UCL set out to re-think the history of Britain's long involvement with the slavery business across the Atlantic through exploring British slave-owners. When slavery was abolished, £20 million was paid in compensation to the owners for the loss of what was defined as their property. Almost half this money came to Britons. We followed the money, establishing who got it and, in so far as has been possible, what did they do with it and with the power they derived from it? Was it invested in railways and banking, or spent on country houses, or used to buy art works? How significant is this history to the establishment of racial hierarchies both in Britain and the Caribbean? Compensation was our starting point, but in exploring the longer histories of British ownership of land and people in the Caribbean the deep entanglements between metropole and colony have been excavated. Publisher: Little, Brown Book Group, 2020 Slave Empire by Padraic X. Scanlan Slave Empire is lucid, elegant and forensic. It deals with appalling horrors in cool and convincing prose.' The Economist 'A sweeping and devastating history of how slavery made modern Britain, and destroyed so much else . . . a shattering rebuke to the amnesia and myopia which still structure British history' Nicholas Guyatt, author of Bind Us Apart: How Enlightened Americans Invented Racial Segregation 'Scanlan shows that the liberal empire of the nineteenth century was the outcome of the long encounter of antislavery and economic expansion founded on enslaved or unfree labour. Antislavery was itself the excuse for empire' Emma Rothschild, Jeremy and Jane Knowles Professor of History, Harvard University 'Fresh and fascinating, a stunning narrative that shows how an empire built on slavery became an empire sustained and expanded by antislavery. . . deftly combines rich storytelling with vivid details and deep scholarship' Bronwen Everill, author of Not Made By Slaves: Ethical Capitalism in the Age of Abolition 'This accessible synthesis of recent scholarship comes at the right time to help shape current debates about Britain and slavery' Nicholas Draper, author of The Price of Emancipation: Slave-Ownership, Compensation and British Society at the End of Slavery The British empire, in sentimental myth, was more free, more just and more fair than its rivals. But this claim that the British empire was 'free' and that, for all its flaws, it promised liberty to all its subjects was never true. The British empire was built on slavery. Slave Empire puts enslaved people at the centre the British empire in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. In intimate, human detail, the chapters show how British imperial power and industrial capitalism were inextricable from plantation slavery. With vivid original research and careful synthesis of innovative historical scholarship, Slave Empire shows that British freedom and British slavery were made together. In the nineteenth century, Britain abolished its slave trade, and then slavery in its colonial empire. Because Britain was the first European power to abolish slavery, many Victorian Britons believed theirs was a liberal empire, promoting universal freedom and civilisation. And yet, the shape of British liberty itself was shaped by the labour of enslaved African workers. There was no bright line between British imperial exploitation and the 'civilisation' that the empire promised to its subjects. Nineteenth-century liberals were blind to the ways more than two centuries of colonial slavery twisted the roots of 'British liberty'. Freedom - free elections, free labour, free trade - were watchwords in the Victorian era, but the empire was still sustained by the labour of enslaved people, in the United States, Cuba and elsewhere. Modern Britain has inherited the legacies and contradictions of a liberal empire built on slavery. Modern capitalism and liberalism emphasise 'freedom' - for individuals and for markets - but are built on human bondage. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/pbliving/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/pbliving/support

They dive into an exploration of the notions of "whiteness" and "meta-colonialism", and how they affect every one of us, in every day of our lives. William uses personal anecdotes to highlight how these concepts pervade our society, even today. The conversation then turns to the British establishment and how it has impacted the Muslim communities, commenting on the "don't make waves, make money" narrative and how it shapes our behaviours. Introduction Clinton was impeached, and now the Democrats are trying hard to justify articles of impeachment against Trump. I live and vote in Colorado, Colorado Springs to be specific, and we had two recent recall attempts. Why? That is the subject of today’s 10-minute episode. Continuing One of my favorite saying when it comes to democracy is, “This is a democracy, and you are going to keep voting until you get it right.” I have no idea who said this, so maybe I’ll take credit for it. Impeachment and recalls should never be used as election re-dos. If you don’t like the incumbent, don’t vote for him the next time. If you hate her policies, don’t vote for her if she runs again. If you feel strongly enough, stand up and go campaign for their opponents. Impeachment of a sitting US President calls for evidence of “high crimes and misdemeanors.” This ambiguous phrase has stirred controversy ever since it was first inserted in the Constitution in 1787. But it is clear enough that it eliminates using impeachment simply because the impeaching party can’t stand the current president. It will be helpful if we take a quick relook at a summary of the Mueller Report: Part 1. There was no collusion. Part 1 (continued). No finding on obstruction. Part 2. Trump is a jerk. Part 2 (continued). Trump is a real jerk. Being a jerk, if that is how you see Trump, is not an impeachable offense. Bill Clinton was impeached because he lied to Congress about his sexual relationship with then 22-year-old Monica Lewinsky, a White House intern. To me, that also does not rise to the level of being a “high crime or misdemeanor.” Colorado Republicans tried to recall Jared Polis, its recently-elected Governor. And in Colorado Springs, there was a recall attempt against Pete Lee, a State Senator. There was a case to be made for the Polis recall in that he surprised a lot of voters when after the election he came out in support of some very controversial measures when during his campaign it appeared that he was against them. There was no case for a recall of Pete Lee. Mr. Lee is a longtime progressive, and his reelection campaign was no different than his policies before or after his reelection. We see something quite similar going on across the pond, in Britain, the home of our former brother and sister British subjects. In 2016, 52% of the British voters elected to leave the European Union (EU), a move called Brexit. Three years later, after a lot of anti-Brexit stalling, nothing has happened. It seems clear that the British Establishment, which is ardently anti-Brexit, wants to somehow force another vote, in the hopes that the result the next time will be to remain in the EU. If that happens, would someone in favor of Brexit call for yet another election, saying, “Hey, 2 out of 3 would be fair.” “This is a democracy, and you are going to keep voting until you get it right.” The move to recall Colorado State Senator Pete Lee was clearly an attempt to have another election, hoping for a different result. The recall was based on nothing more than some folks wanting him out of office because they don’t like him or his politics. Recalls must never be used simply to trigger another election, hoping for a different result. Fun Fact: Clinton’s impeachment and acquittal was a contributing reason to his leaving office in 2001 with the highest end-of-office approval rating of any U.S. president since World War II. Pause for some process information: Impeachment is like an indictment; it sets the stage for a trial. The US House of Representatives can impeach a president with a simple majority. If the House votes for impeachment, then the Senate holds a trial, requiring a ⅔ majority to convict. In Clinton’s Senate trial, the final vote was generally along party lines, with no Democrats voting guilty, and only a handful of Republicans voting not guilty, resulting in acquittal. Postscript: On January 19, 2001,

Behind our democracy lurks a powerful but unaccountable network of people who wield massive power and reap huge profits in the process. In exposing this shadowy and complex system that dominates our lives, Owen Jones sets out on a journey into the heart of our Establishment, from the lobbies of Westminster to the newsrooms, boardrooms and trading rooms of Fleet Street and the City. Recorded live at Bishopsgate Institute on Thursday 6 November 2014. If you enjoyed listening to this event do take a look at the other events we have coming up.

Tahra Ahmed joins John Gibbons on Alchemy Radio to talk about The Reset. The Reset came about in response to the endless stories of corruption within the British Establishment and it has responded to research by historians who have uncovered a constitution for the people of the United Kingdom that dates back to the signing of the Magna Carta in 1215. The Reset's proposal is the abolition of current methods of taxation, and its replacement by a TEAL (Total Economic Activity Levy) of just one per cent for any individual or corporation making a financial transaction in order to relieve the tax burden considerably on ordinary people whilst reaping billions from the monolithic corporations who have so far avoided paying any tax at all with all other, much-needed changes to society being built from this. Volume 38 is all about the Reset project (www.thereset.org,) as originator Tahra Ahmed joins us to explain what it's all about. The Reset came about in response to the endless stories of corruption within the British Establishment - from financial scams to paedophilia and ritual abuse. It has responded to research by historians who have uncovered a constitution for the people of the United Kingdom that dates back to the signing of the Magna Carta in 1215. The key to it, Tahra explains, is people asserting their rights and their wishes through their local parishes. It's a little-known fact that, in their numbers, these parishes have the legal right to call for a constitutional convention, and that the UK government, judiciary and monarchy have to abide by whatever is agreed by the people of the land at this level. The Reset's proposal is the abolition of current methods of taxation, (income tax was only ever supposed to be a wartime measure anyway, Tahra points out,) and its replacement by a TEAL (Total Economic Activity Levy) of just one per cent for any individual or corporation making a financial transaction. This will relieve the tax burden considerably on ordinary people, she explains, while reaping billions from the monolithic corporations who have so far avoided paying any tax at all. The revenue raised would be triple what it was in Britain last year, straight way facilitating an allowance of £7,500 for every man, woman and child in the land. All other much-needed changes to society can be built from this.Tahra gets into the story behind Reset, responds to a few of the criticisms it has received, and explains how anyone and everyone can get behind what she sees as the best solution the British people have ever had to finally break free of their financial slavery.More at http://www.thereset.org
Alternative researcher Chris Spivey joins us for another Good Vibrations and some more direct talk, on this occasion, addressing institutionalised paedophilia and sexual corruption within all levels of The British Establishment. We begin by talking about one of his blog articles which goes way beyond now-familiar names like Rolf Harris and William Roache, to examine how far sexual deviancy is entrenched within the entertainment world. This can be followed upstream into Parliament, Chris says, and all the way to the Royal Family, whose history is steeped in paedophilia and child abuse. We question how it is that so many apparent 'pillars of society' turn out to be compromised in this way, with the suggestion that corruption and the capacity for blackmail is the basis on which our current sick institutions are founded. Chris speculates that the time surely can't be far off when the veil is lifted on the whole grotesque system, and the British public is forced to overcome its denial and come to terms with the sordid truth. We finish by discussing the recent death of 'Lord' McAlpine, and the low-profile way in which it has been reported, in contrast to the loud fiasco concerning his alleged 'outing' as a paedophile. Other names discussed include Jimmy Savile, Simon Cowell, Jonathan King, Tony and Cherie Blair, Gordon and Sarah Brown, Margaret Thatcher, William Hague and Ffion, Ian Duncan Smith, Leon Brittan and Barack and Michelle Obama.
