If running your health business seems so hard and you're busy plugging holes, fixing leaks only to realize you've got another hole in the roof, this is for you.  The single most important question to ask… and it's not … how much do you want to make, or do you want to coach high ticket offers vs big groups of people who pay you less…    The single most important question to ask is:  Who are you?  That's the question that you want to ask and nail the answer to. That alone will help you realize how to achieve flow and how to hire the right people to be around you. In order to identify why running your business seems so hard and get into a flow, we're going to ask several questions today so you can …. Meet you.    Questions we cover in this podcast:  How do you assess your strengths and weaknesses objectively? How do you know whether you need a compliment or a clone of you?  What's the definition of that?  Do you know your strengths? How have you implemented them in the last week?  What could you do better? What triggers you?    When staff say, they're working on or describe their role as taking care of “The stuff and the things”… triggers me. When my team members who are integrators who are hired to pay attention to detail can't articulate exactly what they are doing, and use this nondescript way of describing how they spend their time and my money, that's a trigger.    Key Questions to Reveal Why Running Your Health Business Seems So Hard What do you need to communicate to others about working with you?  What do you need in order to be productive?  When you're stressed you need….? Are you detail oriented? Need lots of details to make a decision? Do you like to gather the details?  Do you need data to make decisions? Do you want to be the one to collect the data?    If Running Your Health Business Seems So Hard, Try These:  Tests like Kolbe, Color Code, Disk Personality, or the Ennigram can reveal how you make decisions but ultimately they point out why certain things irritate you, motivate you, drain you or inspire you. Most of us want more motivation and inspiration!  You also will learn how you relate to others or why you need them on your team to relate to customers that you cannot.  You need them, but you also need to know that these people don't communicate in the same way as you, and they could irritate you or vice versa.  You've got to know when you need someone to clone you, meaning you're going to have them do a job that you do really well and love, but now need to hand off to someone or need more hands on deck, and when you need a compliment. That is, you need someone good at things you're not, who loves doing things you hate or that drain you.    Other Episodes You Might Like:Grow Your Fitness Business in 2023 | Personal Trainers and Health Coaches: https://fitnessmarketingacademy.com/fitness-business-in-2023/ When and How to Ask for Help Growing Your Health Business: https://fitnessmarketingacademy.com/growing-your-health-business/ Hiring Interns for Your Health Business & Personal Growth: https://fitnessmarketingacademy.com/hiring-interns-for-your-health-business/    Resources: Flipping 50 Menopause Fitness Specialist: https://www.flippingfifty.com/specialist Business Scorecard: https://www.fitnessmarketingacademy/scorecard Take the Quiz for Support: https://fitnessmarketingacademy.com/quiz/

Send us a textIn this week's episode, we are joined by Trevor Graves! Trevor came to us with an episode idea, and we quickly roped him into coming on the show to talk about it. The idea from this episode came from a hair-raising experience that Trevor had, along with something he learned in a CCW class he attended that got him looking at the world differently than he consciously had before. The concept of being situationally aware is not a new on,e and neither is the structure of the Color Code of Awareness, which was created by Col. Jeff Cooper back in the 70s. The lessons here, though, are so applicable to anyone in the world today, regardless of whether or not you are someone who carries a gun or other weapon in your daily life. We guarantee that you will come away from this episode with some actionable steps to implement in your life that will make you safer and make your family safer in the world. Podcast host CJ Miller steps out and has Intuitive Artist Joe Kresoja do a Color Code reading for him. Los Angeles artist Joe Kresoja has discovered a process of art-making and intuitive readings called Spirituals Color Code. Joe sees flashes of colors and shapes when talking with people. He sketches what he sees and creates an original painting that represents the person's core essence, which is always shifting. Joe conducts the reading on a second Zoom call as the client views the work. He has found that many people get locked into their personal identities. Later, after delivering the final painting to the client, he gives them a reading about the painting. Joe is often as surprised by the reading and final art as the person receiving it. CJ shares a past conversation with a psychic who explained that everyone receives guidance differently: some visually, some verbally, and some kinesthetically. Joe begins by asking the client a few questions. While they answer, he sketches out shapes on a piece of paper. He receives a feeling, taps into their energy, and then reviews his sketch. He uses the feeling to create a unique Color Code based on consistent themes. He is challenged by "locking down" on a shape because the shapes are consistently moving in his mind's eye. Joe does not claim psychic powers but considers himself an intuitive. Both Joe and CJ agree that they don't believe the future is firmly set. Joe shares that he has always been more of a feeler than a thinker. When he reads the final painting, it's a feeling process that he taps into. CJ and Joe use similar methods of meditation and consciousness projection when working with their clients. Both have found ways to push their consciousness beyond their physical limitations and into the world. During this interview, Joe shares an intuitive reading based on the painting he created for CJ only days before. According to Joe, CJ has learned to be fluid and a catalyst for helping others loosen their personal identities. He advises the podcast host to "leave room for the unimaginable things in his life" by "taking action without holding so much seriousness." He tells CJ to keep his wisdom message light and shares that CJ has another significant change coming in his life where he will attract or create a spiritual community. The podcast concludes with the importance of integrative art-making. Art provides a way to express emotions, whether grief or joy. When we feel the emotion, we give permission for it to move through us and be transmuted. CJ claims that we transmute the emotion through this process. For more information on Joe or to schedule a Spiritual Color Code reading, visit www.kresoja.com. For more information on CJ, visit www.spiritualartisttoday.com.

Have you ever felt trapped by the shadows of your past, particularly when those shadows are cast by generational anger and emotional turmoil? Meet Paul Holman, a man who courageously shares his journey from being ensnared in a legacy of anger to finding freedom through love and understanding. Paul's story is not just about personal transformation; it's a beacon of hope for anyone who believes they are doomed to repeat the mistakes of their predecessors. Growing up in an environment where anger was the primary emotion, Paul vowed at 17 to create a different life for himself and his future children. Yet, despite his best intentions, he found himself perpetuating the very patterns he despised. It wasn't until the age of 35, after the end of his first marriage and a series of life-altering realizations, that Paul truly began to take responsibility for his actions. He embarked on a quest to break the cycle of anger, diving into resources like The Color Code and The Five Love Languages by Dr. Gary Chapman. These tools, combined with a healthy dose of introspection, led Paul to a novel approach to fostering love and kindness. Paul's invention, the Roll of Love game, is a playful yet profound method to practice the love languages daily. His story of how this game came to be, the challenges he faced along the way, and the joy it has brought into his life is nothing short of inspirational. This episode is a masterclass in emotional intelligence and the power of love languages to change the way we interact with the world. Paul's insights into the importance of focusing on the good in people, rather than their faults, are a valuable lesson for us all.     What they're saying:   “This is a beautiful book about life, its imperfections, its challenges, and its joys. It is a book of hope and wisdom for all of us facing a bump in the road.” –Pragito Dove   “Pat has woven together beautiful stories of life setbacks that have been transformed into spiritual growth. Personality tests sometimes come in for criticism these days for not being very accurate or helpful or for putting people into boxes. And it's true that no test can ever entirely peg the complexities of personality, and they shouldn't be applied with too much rigidity. But what these tests are useful for is serving as a prompt for reflecting on the particular ways you think, feel, and act, and, perhaps even more importantly, getting you to think about the fact that other people can see and approach the world in ways that are fundamentally different from your own.I haven't found a personality test that better serves as this kind of tool than what's called the “People Code” or the “Color Code,” which categorizes people into four colors: Reds, Blues, Whites, and Yellows. I've found it uncanningly insightful in helping me understand myself and others better, and it's become a regular topic of conversation amongst my family and friends.Today I talk to the creator of the Color Code Personality Profile, psychologist Dr. Taylor Hartman. We discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the four color types, how to interact with each color to bring out their best traits, and how the colors combine in relationships. We then discuss the importance of developing the strengths of other colors besides your own, a process Taylor calls becoming “charactered.”Learn More/Connect With Taylor HartmanTaylor's WebsiteTake the ColorCode AssessmentDiscount code for the assessment: AOM30The People CodeThe Character CodeTaylor on LinkedIn

Housing and school segregation are closely intertwined, yet the story of how that came to be is rarely taught. The students at EPIC Theatre Ensemble were commissioned to write a play about this topic through the EPIC Next Program. Through extensive research, starting with the Segregated by Design website (an exploration of Richard Rothstein's The Color of Law), and including interviews with over 30 stakeholders in education and housing, the students created Between The Lines, an original play exploring the connections between America's housing policies and educational segregation. They set out to answer the questions, how have we managed to parcel out privilege in a public school system that's supposed to be free and open to everyone? Their art serves both as an outlet for the shock they felt in learning this history, and also an invitation to deeper, more productive civic dialog about a topic that can often be fraught.  We are joined by student actor, Dilisima Vickers, and co-artistic director, Jim Wallert, to discuss how the show came to be, and what they learned through making it. We also share excerpts from the show, including an original song called Segregated by Design, Jane Crow Real Estate, and a game show called The Color Code.  LINKS: EpicTheaterEnsemble.org Trailer for Between The Lines S6E2 – EPIC's “Nothing About Us”: Youth Theater on Integration Citizen Artists: A Guide to Helping Young People Make Plays That Change the World Segregated by Design website The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America- by Richard Rothstein All Quiet on the Western Front Poverty, Race, and Research Action Council - the organization that commissioned Between the Lines Interview from PRRAC's Journal with Dilisima about Between the Lines Use these links or start at our Bookshop.org storefront to support local bookstores, and send a portion of the proceeds back to us.
