Elizaveta Maximová prý do titulní role vložila všechno.
Russia has had a year to convince Trump to give up on Ukraine and force Zelensky to surrender, but at the end of 2025, we are yet to see any significant results from the Kremlin's efforts. After a triumphant beginning that had Europe and Ukraine worried, and an unprecedented Anchorage summit between Putin and Trump, the situation no longer looks as favorable for Russia. The planned Budapest summit has been called off, Trump has introduced the first sanctions against Russian oil giants since returning to the White House, and the U.S. president never misses an opportunity to criticize Putin for being intransigent. What contributed to Russia's diplomatic failure? When did Putin stop relying on his diplomats, and how did the Russian Foreign Office come to be nothing more than another source of the Kremlin's delusion and another mouthpiece for Putin's propaganda?

Elizaveta Friesem writes about media and about social power (i.e., the power people exert over other people). I first interviewed her about media and polarization in 2021 about her book "Media Is Us." Topics we discuss here include: Michel Foucault's ideas about power (often referenced in liberal academic world); the oppressed/oppressor framework (also often referenced); how simplistic views of social power can be divisive and result in a reduction in people's empathy; how the free will debate ties into these ideas; political polarization related to some of these ideas. Yet, renewables are crucial to the energy transition and can be cost competitive and profitable in many cases. Just what does it take to build projects and companies that can weather this volatility? How can the sector build resiliency and robustness? Julie McLaughlin and Elizaveta Malashenko of Alvarez & Marsal join us to diagnose the challenges and identify the pathways forward for the renewables sector as outlined in their latest white paper released today: https://www.alvarezandmarsal.com/insights/renewables-imperative-discipline Julie is Managing Director of the US Energy Practice (previously our guest in episode 94 on the still upcoming SEC regulation on climate disclosures: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-hc-insider-podcast-conversations-in-energy/id1512721188?i=1000559567015) and Elizaveta is a Senior Director focused on the energy transition.

In our latest trip to primary schools across the country, Shauna from the show headed off to meet the students from 3rd class in Trinity Primary School in Tuam. She spoke to Alicja, Annalise, Caitlyn, Diana, Dakshinaa, Elizaveta, Ethar, Gabrielly, Isabella, Jennifer, Liliana, Michaela, Noreena, Patricija, SammyJo, Tanisha and Zarifa. Earlier in the week, we were chatting about the process of kidulting, which is when adults step back in time and do the things they enjoyed as children, to be more playful and spark creativity. Shauna asked the children what they thought about this and if they had any suggestions for adults listening. There has been a lot of talk about aliens in recent weeks, with various sightings of UFOS across the world. Shauna asked the kids if they thought there was any truth in it and if aliens were real, what are they like?! Thanks to Ms Lydon who organised the visit, Ms Atkinson who was acting photographer, principal Ms Burke, Secretary Kay who sorted out Shauna's lunch and to Ger who helped her park!

She shares what it takes to prepare and execute their marketing strategy at the biggest Amazon events, such as Prosper and other industry events. At Helium 10's Sell & Scale Event, Elizaveta leveraged the “leaderboard” app to really make a name for herself as she ranked in to top 2 among all attendees throughout the conference! Host Joie and Elizaveta actually met through both being on the leaderboard at the conference. Elizaveta shares her scary conversation of telling her immigrant mother that she wanted to stop going to school to focus on business. She at an early age knows what she wants and shares the key is to have the work ethic to make it happen. While Elizaveta is an industry expert in the social media space she really limits her own consumption of Social Media including never scrolling through TikTok. You can use social media to find amazing products to sell on Amazon. Elizaveta walks through the exact methodology she uses to help clients of Ritz Momentum. Another important social media strategy is to build your brand on Instagram way before you launch your product! It's important to do Brand Name research and check name saturation via both Instagram hashtags and via Google searches. A great tip is to focus on some of the small and medium searched hashtags and then work up to larger ones in the future. If you build success using this method on Instagram your odds of success for your product on Amazon are very high. Amazon Inspire is a powerful new app that is very similar to Instagram but is for Amazon products. The key is post high quality content on Inspire and that cross post to multiple platforms as you never know which platform your content will work really well. Her big plans and advice for 2023 is to keep hustling and to make sure the content you create and your followers are authentic! What matters is buyers not your number of followers! Elizaveta (Elizabeth) Petrovna was the daughter of Peter the Great and his history-making wife Catherine I, believed to have risen from being a serf to becoming Empress in her own right. Elizabeth was not raised to be ruler, there were plenty of distant male relatives to take on the mantle of Tsar, but as we'll discuss later in this episode, Elizabeth clawed through heartbreak, tragedy, and abuse to eventually be crowned Empress of Russia. However, her reign, much like the other 16th-century empresses, has been marred by scandal. The glorious and long reign of Catherine the Great has overshadowed that of Elizabeth. In addition, Catherine made sure to steer the narrative of her relationship with Elizabeth, often painting the empress as a heartless and cold manipulator, but she was far more capable and accomplished than she is often given credit for.Featured Guest: Author Ellen Alpsten is best known for her two novels on Elizabeth and her mother Catherine I titled Tsarina and The Tsarina's Daughter. Chernobyl and its neighboring city Pripyat are two of the most haunting abandoned places on earth - but what is it really like in the exclusion zone today? In this season finale we'll hear from Mykhailo "Misha" Teslenko, a Ukrainian guide who has spend years exploring the remains of the worst nuclear disaster ever. We'll talk about what the real risks of radiation exposure are, the people who still live and work in the exclusion zone, and why so many things you may assume about Chernobyl are wrong. We'll also cover the dangerous and foolish actions of the Russian soldiers who recently invaded it, and why they posed such a danger to the rest of the world. Finally, we'll discuss Misha's return to his home in Bucha after the Russian massacres there, and what it is like living through one of the most horrifying genocides in modern history. Special thanks to musician Elizaveta, who allowed us to share her beautiful song "Home" at the end of the episode. Unarmed civilians massacred near Kyiv. As images of bodies in the streets of towns near the capital lead to an outpouring of condemnation around the world, Human Rights Watch tells us about their investigation into the alleged atrocities. We hear from Tatyana, who was travelling in a convoy of vehicles escaping the city when two fleeing residents stepped out of their car and were shot dead, while their six-year-old remained in the car. Meanwhile, Vitaly's dad, Alexander Shevchenko, has made it to the UK. He joins us in the studio to share his story and swap perspectives on the war with his 22-year-old student, Elizaveta, who has chosen to stay in Ukraine. This episode of Ukrainecast was made by Daniel Wittenberg with Ben Cooper, Phil Marzouk and Osman Iqbal. The technical producer was Emma Crowe. The editor is Jonathan Aspinwall.
Are green gardens allowed, or encouraged on rooftops in most metropolitan areas? In a high-density low-parkland environment; are there really no spaces for greenery and plant-life? Elizaveta Fakirova says that parks, natures, and green spaces can be on walls, rooftops, inside, and designed into other creative areas. Ingenuity and policy can enable a city of smart gardens, and will hopefully increase as we have more free-time. Elizaveta is the 2020/21 German Chancellor Fellow with the Humboldt Foundation, where she is conducting a research-based project about green roof and facade policy implementation in Europe, aimed at transferring and applying that knowledge to a Russian context. Originally from Saint-Petersburg, Russia, she is also an interdisciplinary project manager with experience developing urban, cultural and educational projects. Practical working experience in two Russian urban consultancies, Strelka KB and Citymakers, as a project manager has established her as a professional who is able to take care of the full project circle - from initial idea to project implementation and further maintenance. Elizaveta has experience living, studying and working in Saint-Petersburg, Moscow and Berlin. She speaks fluent English, advanced German and native Russian. She has traveled around 26 Russian cities in three months from Saint-Petersburg to Vladivostok. Elizaveta was among 15 national participants (out of 200+) in the UNESCO Young Professionals Programme in 2018. Elizaveta has a degree in architectural environmental design (Saint-Petersburg) and a master's degree in urban management from Technical University (Berlin). Biography from World Urban Parks.
