The heart of the video is the math. Passing anything through the filibuster takes 60 votes, and Hawk argues the SAVE Act, which would end mail-in voting nationwide, cannot get there. Several Republican senators oppose it, in part because millions of Republican voters use mail-in ballots. And Thune does not even have 51 Republican votes to nuke the filibuster, especially with a caucus that has cooled on Trump. Hawk lays out why the relationship has soured. Trump backed primary challengers against Bill Cassidy and John Cornyn and pushed Thom Tillis toward the exit, while Susan Collins faces a tough reelection and Lisa Murkowski keeps her distance. With Lindsey Graham gone and Mitch McConnell unseen for weeks, the working majority is thin. Hawk closes on the irony: a Democratic Senate could use a dead filibuster to add states and seats. In this segment, host Charlie James vehemently argues that Senate Republicans must abolish the filibuster while they hold power, rather than clinging to procedural rules or a false sense of morality. Using an analogy of entering a fight with Marquess of Queensberry rules while an opponent carries a knife, he warns that Democrats will eliminate the filibuster immediately upon regaining control to pass their agenda, pack the Supreme Court, and make Washington D.C. a state. James criticizes Republican leadership, including John Thune, for allowing hundreds of beneficial bills to sit in a Senate logjam under the pretense of tradition. A caller, Richard from Greenville, joins the conversation to agree, asserting that many Republicans prefer being in the minority so they can offer excuses rather than face the accountability of governing. Both host and caller conclude that Republicans must fight to implement conservative legislation or step aside for leaders who will.

In this episode of The Charlie James Show, host Charlie James delivers a passionate critique of the political landscape, focusing heavily on what he views as a growing threat from socialist elements within the Democratic Party. He argues that radical progressives and groups like the Democratic Socialists of America are attempting to dismantle core American institutions, warning that their influence is steadily expanding among younger voters. Turnkey to his argument is a call to action for Republicans; James insists that conservative lawmakers must take aggressive stance—including being open to eliminating the Senate filibuster to pass crucial legislation like the "SAVE America Act"—rather than yielding power through inaction. Furthermore, he addresses the electoral power of Christian voters, expressing frustration over statistics showing low voter turnout among them, while highlighting how opposition movements actively mobilize in local churches and communities.

Interview with Don Cento !   Halfway to Mellowtown is the debut album from Austin-based Cento Threeo, a Jazz / Americana trio led by guitarist and composer Don Cento. The album was recorded by Stuart Sikes (White Stripes, Cat Power, Loretta Lynn) at Church House in the band's hometown with Cento producing. Halfway to Mellowtown is being released June 19 June by SecondBridge Records on 12” LP vinyl, CD, digital download and streaming services.   The album was cut live in two days with Don on guitar, drummer Norm Bergeron and Phil Spencer on bass. All eleven numbers – mainly Cento originals – are rooted in composition but make ample room for improvisation. The trio's sound merges the sophistication of late-'90s jazz guitar records and classic '60s post-bop with the textural sensibilities of Americana and indie rock - a unique fusion born from Cento's diverse musical background.    “The Judy Valve” opens the album with a steady ramp up, shifting focus around the band. “It Takes What It Takes” began as a vocal song but finds a new life as an instrumental while retaining it's pop-tune structure. “Dennis Muren” is an homage to the FX wizard from Industrial Light & Magic, that hits the laughing gas and give nods to composer and conductor, Jack Elliott. The eerie blues-waltz “Make the Silence Louder” opens Side B with a crack. "Filibuster in E Minor" is all noir ostinato, that plays a game of cat-and-mouse at the intersection of Henry Mancini and David Lynch. The album's final track is the Rosanne Cash song, “Seven Year Ache,” the album's only cover tune, whose melody Cento toys with like it's made of Silly Putty.    Don Cento's three-decade career spans jazz, indie rock, and Americana. He has toured and recorded with numerous award-winning artists including Sarah Jaffe, Ume, Little Jack Melody, and Chomsky. His production work extends across genres from metal to classical with artists like Matt Kivel, Jerry David DeCicca, and Vitskär Süden on labels like Drag City, Bloodshot, Ripple Music, Worried Songs, Idol Records and Tompkins Square. His contributions to these projects have been admiringly noted in features on NPR's Weekend Edition, Uncut, SPIN, The New Yorker, and Aquarium Drunkard. As a solo artist, Centohas released music under the moniker El Cento and with instrumental group Shibboleth, scoring placements with both on FOX, MTV and Discovery.    Cento Threeo marks Don's return to Jazz and represents his most personal artistic statement to date. The project began as a casual outlet for reimagining '60s and '70s FM classics through an atmospheric, jazz-adjacent lens. What started as a covers project quickly evolved as Cento reconnected with his love for jazz and began writing original compositions in earnest.    Following the recording of Halfway to Mellowtown, the drum seat in CentoThreeo was taken over by Matt Johnson (Jeff Buckley, Rufus Wainright, St. Vincent).    https://www.instagram.com/elcento/. https://centothreeo.com. https://centothreeo.bandcamp.com. https://open.spotify.com/artist/0w6l3kea2PeCYvfixOFiox. https://music.apple.com/us/artist/cento-threeo/1875616656.

In a scathing critique, the speaker takes aim at the hypocrisy of politicians who claim to be loyal to their constituents but only reveal their true convictions when it's no longer relevant. Using the examples of John Cornyn and Bill Cassidy, two Republican senators who recently lost their primaries, the speaker argues that these politicians have a history of changing their stances to appease their party leaders and donors. This episode delves into the world of politics, where the lines between loyalty and deception are blurred. The speaker examines the ways in which politicians use their power to manipulate the system and avoid accountability. From the use of cloture to the importance of voter turnout, the conversation covers the intricacies of the US Senate and the ways in which politicians can maintain a veneer of loyalty while secretly working against the interests of their constituents. The speaker also touches on the topic of voter fraud, citing the example of California's slow and contentious election process. They argue that the state's approach to election administration is not only inefficient but also creates an environment where misinformation and conspiracy theories can thrive. The conversation also explores the implications of this issue and how it affects the democratic process. If you're tired of being misled by politicians who claim to be on your side, tune in to this episode to hear the speaker's take on the state of politics and the importance of holding our elected officials accountable.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Send us Fan MailTrump just exposed the filibuster scam. When the filibuster blocks health care, wages, voting rights, immigration reform, or labor protections, Republicans call it Senate tradition. But when it blocks Trump's election agenda, suddenly he wants it gone.Today we're breaking down how selective procedural compliance moves power away from the people and toward the executive. This is not just about Senate rules. It is about Article I, Article II, concentrated power, and who gets the rule versus who gets the workaround.I'll also connect this to my conversation with Cliff Schecter about Democrats asking permission from people who are already weaponizing the rules.Main question: Who benefits when Congress cannot act?Read more at The Coffman Chronicle and get the full show for paid subscribers.Rumble: https://rumble.com/v7a37ks-trump-exposes-the-filibuster-scam-tmp-1052.htmlThe Coffman Chronicle: https://www.thecoffmanchronicle.com/Pocket Constitution: https://thecoffmanchronicle.kit.com/pocket-constitutionYou're listening to today's Opening Argument from The Tony Michaels Podcast. Next, Hawk calls for expanding the Supreme Court by four seats, drawing nominees from federal judges who held the line against the Trump administration, including Judge Boasberg. Ketanji Brown Jackson gets the nod for Chief Justice. Puerto Rico and Washington DC become states, adding four new senators and giving millions of Americans real representation for the first time. Roe v. Wade gets codified into law nationwide. And critically, Hawk argues Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries must not lead the Senate or House, citing their stated loyalties to foreign interests over their own base. All four items fit on one piece of paper. Voting rights. Court reform. Statehood. Reproductive rights. That's the plan. In this Wednesday Listener Q&A episode of The Wright Report, Bryan answers your biggest questions about whether the Trump administration is truly dismantling the Deep State, with major updates on new DOJ cases involving former FBI Director James Comey, former CIA Director John Brennan, James Clapper, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, and even Dr. Fauci's inner circle. He explains why recent indictments and subpoenas could signal real movement against what he calls the "Original Swamp Monsters," including cases tied to threats against President Trump, the Russia collusion narrative, and alleged COVID-era coverups involving deleted records and gain-of-function research. Bryan also breaks down the massive FBI fraud raids in Minnesota targeting Somali-run daycare and autism centers, arguing that the White House sees these investigations as both a justice issue and a broader immigration and midterm-election strategy. Plus, Bryan shares how his CIA counterterrorism training shaped his analysis of the Trump assassination attempt and the debate over ideological motivation, gives updates on the brutal wars in Ukraine and Iran, and explains why economic pressure on Tehran may be the White House's best path to victory. He closes with encouraging medical news from Sweden on anemia screening as a powerful early warning tool for dementia prevention and long-term brain health.   "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." - John 8:32     Keywords: Deep State DOJ indictments James Comey Brennan Clapper 2026, Trump administration FBI CIA swamp cleanup analysis, Fauci adviser David Morens indictment COVID coverup records deletion, Minnesota FBI raids Somali daycare fraud Tim Walz controversy, Trump assassination attempt ideology CIA terrorism analysis antichrist debate, Ukraine war drone attacks Russia casualties update 2026, Iran economic blockade China oil pressure Trump strategy, filibuster debate Senate Republican strategy 2026, anemia dementia risk biomarkers Sweden study brain health, Bryan Dean Wright podcast, The Wright Report

President Donald Trump issued a bold 48-hour ultimatum on Truth Social, demanding that Iran fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz or face U.S. strikes to obliterate power plants. In response, Iran defiantly rejected the demand, vowing to completely close the Strait indefinitely and target regional infrastructure across the Gulf — including U.S. and allied facilities — if its power grid is attacked. Iranian officials labeled such U.S. actions as war crimes and promised irreversible destruction in retaliation. Later updates show Trump postponing strikes for five days amid reported productive talks, but tensions remain high with the Strait still restricted. WE ALSO COVER:  ICE agents will become TSA agents.
